big matchups for week two of college football season game day Desmond Howard a former Heisman Trophy winner in Super Bowl MVP joined us from Ann Arbor Michigan good morning to you Desmond you got your blue on of course Desmond you are a Michigan man what's it been like this weekend to be back on campus with your Wolverines as the defending national champs yeah it's great to be on the campus of the reigning National champ and these guys know sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name and they always glad you came this is my type of crowd oh they're excited for the match up this afternoon yeah they are doesen oh I love how you interact with the crowd all the time Hey listen on the field what is number three Michigan going to have to do if they're going to beat number 10 Texas today what I think first it starts with um the offensive line I think they need to control the line of scrimmage they're breaking in five new offensive linemen and then on top of that obviously a new quarterback too and Davis Warren but the offensive line they have to they need time to jail didn't play great a week ago but this is the time of year when coaches are starting to figure out pieces of the puzzle whether it's individuals or whether it's units so now I think they have some great tape to pull from from the Fresno State game and now they can build off of that but it's going to have to start with the battle in the trenches they're going to have to win that battle all right Desmond let's switch to that Prime Time matchup right here on ABC featuring number 14 Tennessee and number 24 NC State what's the key in this one's wow I tell you what Tennessee they have an explosive offense now the competition wasn't High a week ago but you're talking about an offense that that can score from anywhere on the field they have a quarterback n who is um he's very impressive he throws a very catchable ball he's extremely accurate he doesn't throw the ball too hard as a former receiver I'm always looking at ball placement and he place he places the ball in a position where the receivers whether it's a tight end a running back or a wide receiver they do not have to break stride they can keep running and then make moves to get vertical downfield so it's going to be a great match up but keep an eye on Tennessee's offense Tennessee is that one team in the SEC that's probably a sleeper not many people talking about Tennessee and the SEC talk about Georgia talk about Texas no one's talking about Tennessee excellent well some great matchups today and it's great to see a Desmond back in your element there great to be back here all right we'll talk to you soon thanks so much of course you can catch college game day at 9:00 a.m. on ESPN and then it's Tennessee versus NC State as we mentioned tonight at 7:30 right here on ABC
