Among the trio of new faces at Bills practice today in Orchard Park. There is a new third string in the Bills quarterback room, former Cowboys and Broncos backup Ben D Nucci now in Buffalo after also recently spending time in the XFLD Nucci, happy to be getting another opportunity in the NFL. I've had a few workouts been trying to keep myself, you know, mentally, physically ready, just hoping that a call would come at some point, never take anything for granted. So I'm extremely happy to be here. Happy to show what I can do. It's an opportunity with a nice coincidence for D Nucci. He joins the Bills ahead of their second preseason game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh D Nucci's hometown. He says he's excited to see his family, but for right now, the focus is on playing catch up so he can play football in four days. I've got friends, family, everybody asking for. I'm like, guys, I got here 10 hours ago, you go, go, go figure all that stuff out. I'll see you Saturday after the game. But the biggest thing for me, right is I need to get up to speed as quick as possible on, on the playbook. And I'm lucky I haven't started from, from ground zero. There's some carry over from, from what I ran last year in Denver because Joe was with, uh, with Sean Payton for, for a little bit in, uh, in New Orleans. So a little bit of the terminology is the same biggest thing for me is I, I just need to make sure I'm comfortable with the base stuff. Someone who will certainly help him with that is the Bills QB one Josh Allen who's already helping get D Nucci up to speed. Just a lot of questions. Um You know, he's been around the league long enough to, to know what's going on. And, you know, I've only heard great things about him. I got a few texts from a few different people and just saying you're in love Ben and he's, he's fitting well in the quarterback room already with the, you know, he got here yesterday. So um happy to have him in there and after seeing the Bills up close last year as a member of the Broncos D Nucci is happy to be inside the walls now at one Bill's drive. Obviously, there's, there's a certain type of guy, a certain type of player that they want in this building and they did a really good job of creating culture, creating a tradition and, and putting a bunch of um you know, winning successful seasons together. So I'm excited to uh to be a part of that and help however I can on your side in Orchard Park, Jonathan Acosta Channel Two sports.
