Well, dozens of parents in Bartow County are scrambling for childcare after fire destroyed a church and daycare. That's right. And while Cartersville fire is still investigating what started this blaze, the pastor believes it was lightning that struck the cornerstone worship center during the storms last night that started this fire. 11 left trees of bulls found out just how much this church means to the community. What was once a place of fellowship with little feet frolicking about faded away in these flames close to 70 Children. So we've got teachers and directors and cooks and all of that that now need to be relocated or some place else. Pastor Jeff Bear now has to take a step back. Cornerstone worship center isn't just his church of 20 years but a daycare business for his entire family. Here's what's left of it after firefighters worked for five hours. Bear believes as storms blew through here. Thursday night, lightning struck the church causing the fire memories. Lots of memories got burned through pictures and records and things that can't be replaced. Our backups got melted. A lot of parents tell me their safe space melted with it. I moved from a different town to be closer for the daycare because I did not want to move my child. Streeter's son, Cohen has been at class Act childcare since he was eight months old. This is devastating. A single mother Streeter is now stuck at step one, finding a new place to take her baby in August. A lot of places are at full capacity so they can't, even if they wanted to, they can't take any more kids for now. Bear is taking baby steps, surveying the damage and coming up with a plan. He says the community has been supporting him every step of the way and he believes God ordered his steps for a new future that will rise from the ashes. I believe that with the enemy intended for evil that my God will turn into good like he said, so I'm only looking at the good and it will be a nice new shiny building that will embrace anybody who wants to come in.
