we talk you know we've seen Vincent company so I'm quite pleased for him have a good start yeah so we've spoken a bit about the what more about the how that they did it let's start with the goals they conceded and indeed that post hit that they had as well inside the opening 10 minutes of the second half because it goes back to the defensive conversation that we were having about the worries that were there and they did look unstable at what were very simple things to deal with I think in football I.E second bols yeah this is completely Fair and for myself I was seeing it properly for the first time and some of the individual mistakes they can't be covered up for I think when you look at the mistake from Kim that led to I think the second goal you should know that that's not the right decision if somebody's standing there but you should also anticipate that someone's going to be applying pressure to you and some other elements of that at times they felt very stretched I think for as director as wburg were it just doesn't feel to me as if uh Bayern In This Moment were able to handle that how do you weigh up the wobbles is something we'll ask in a moment because can bring in Harry Kane Harry hello very well firstly it's your son all right just fine no issues but how did you do that golf I know I got it caught in someone's shirt in uh I got it caught in someone's shirt defending so it's no problem all good okay good to know you won and from where we were looking we don't necessarily think that Bayern would have won that game last season given the way that things went what do you think yeah it's a good point I mean we had games like that last year where we went we went in front and then we quickly went behind and we didn't quite uh recover the game like we did today so uh I thought there's a lot of good points today I thought the first half we controlled uh the whole game pretty much conceded no chances um just sloppy coming out at halim and conceding the penalty like that and then the momentum changes and then we struggled probably the next 10 15 minutes to get back in the game they got another goal but from there we stay calm uh we talk a lot about discipline and positional discipline and we kept doing what we've done throughout preseason and thankfully we got the rewards so when you are playing up front and you look back and you see at times your team struggling defensively as a collective what sort of things do you think are key to get through that sort of spell because wburg definitely took it to you in that second half yeah I think that's when you know as a striker for me personally about holding up the ball trying to you know take this thing out the game when the other teams got momentum especially when they're at home you know you got to sometimes try and win fouls just slow the game down then get control again because you know when when we had our shape and we had our positions we controlled it nicely we got into dangerous area so uh for me personally yeah you know without the ball is just trying to get the pressure on but then with the ball is to be that calm presence up front what what what's the difference Thomas Miller made and you think this season he came on I know it was quite fortunate he came in he scored immediately what's the difference that he made to the team tactically or is it more his personality I think both I think you know Thomas is one of the best football brins in in the whole world you know he's shown that throughout his whole career so I think he really understands the position and and where the game is and you know how he can affect that so of course when he come on we we score straight away but then from there I felt Lu he helped us you know control the game a little bit better making runs in behind to to stretch them also coming deep to link so uh yeah Thomas has had a great preseason he shown that scoring goals assisting goals so uh we spoke before the game about needing everyone and we needed the subs today you say one of the best football brains in the world what about the rest of his brain he's a great guy he's he's he's a great great guy you know I think you see it what you see in the media from the outside is exactly who he is you know he don't hide who he is but fantastic leader to have in the dressing room you know always bring the energy always bringing the motivation uh so yeah it's it's a great pleasure to to have him on our team you talked about the discipline that you showed are there any other qualities that you think stood out today uh well I think the resilience to come back from going two1 behind uh which is an important thing you know tactics and formations will only get you so far in in football and and in League titles and uh you have to be able to you know show resilience and and come back in games because not every game's going to be perfect so we had to show that today uh and it's a great start because of course you want to start the first game with a win just another one from Thomas well just a question how how fit do you feel now after the Euros I know it's been so tough in the summer you've come back now where you at at the moment you say already 100% or you still need some weeks I say I'm pretty much 100% I think you know I had a good few weeks off after the Euros I mean I think the players now are used to having quick turnarounds we've been doing it for for many years so uh you know I've had a really good preseason training's been really good and been able to get minutes 30 minutes 45 60 Minutes in in friendly games and felt good and and now it's you know it's the business end you know we have weeks between games to begin with so it's almost like a continue preseason now for the next couple weeks uh and then you know once the Champions League starts that's when it becomes thick and fast are you claiming the goal I'm always absolutely some things don't change your name show up some things don't change you'll be lucky every number n Harry thank you very much congratulations on the win we'll take that all good so what do you make of what Harry Kane had to tell us then I think it's a fair understanding of how the game went I think the acknowledgement that the team did have to suffer is you know is good cuz sometimes I think as a player you can be quite deluded about outcomes but then he has also mentioned the fact that the most important thing itself was the win I think that sounds to me like a side that understand that I think we said at the start of the show the most important thing is winning the league title they'll know they'll play better games but to win a league title not every game has to be perfect but as you guys have said rightly so last year an imperfect game tended to lead to drop points you put him on a spot with that football brain I don't think he'll ever talk to you again it's fine look I've had the the privilege to be able to talk to Thomas Müller on enough occasions through this job that I I I think he he's given it to me enough times as well Thomas don't ever mention my football brain all right there's enough of that I didn't have one not true not true K I think we're going to send it back to you for now we are awaiting further interviews down here but from a Bayern Munich perspective okay there was a rocky patch but as I think Harry Kane was saying they wouldn't have necessarily come come through that last season so yeah a good start for Bayern Munich yeah I want to talk about Harry kanane with you actually Ali if we can because even though his name isn't on the score sheet in this he was involved in every single goal for baying today he was involved throughout the game fully and understatement of the year he's critically important to what they do of course and we know we know that Harry Kane is gonna score important goals for Bayern Munich but his game is changing his game is evolving and and because at what point of his career he is now his movement is different and so now we see him sometimes getting himself into playmaking positions and so it's important for other guys to recognize when he gets out of position then we have to be the ones that attack the 18 yard box [Music]
