I think being patient was probably the toughest thing I've had to go through through my career so far uh waiting it was a year and a half so you're always thinking like okay this is the week okay this is the week um and then you get to the final game of your freshman you're like okay well it wasn't this year now let's go to Spring ball Spring ball comes you don't win the job all right fall Camp Fall Camp comes you don't win the job then you right back into this another season we're saying another week another week another week so like I said there was a lot of Bible verse that kind of got me through it my grandfather is is very um he's a he's a devoted Christian and he's very um in touch with his with his faith so he would send me messages and he he helped me a lot he's a prayer Warrior so I'm extremely blessed to have him on my side but uh just continue to tell me to be patient and one thing he says that always rings with me is uh is to be patient God's time is never wrong um you're raised in the church you know who defines you so it's not football football doesn't Define me Fame doesn't Define me success doesn't Define me victories and stats none of that stuff defines me the only thing that defines me is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and just understanding that in the bad times understanding that when everything's going good it brings you back um down to earth and understands that our goal on this Earth is to get to heaven so that's just kind of kind of my my biggest challenge was definitely being patient and uh because of it I maybe God for me in that situation put me in that storm for so long so I could grow in my faith and start to build my relationship with him
