[Music] yes oh man it had to be done had to be done all right well everybody Welcome to the first JJ and pug uh podcast this is um this is going to be an adventure right here we've been sitting here for about an hour trying to figure out how to do this and we're just going to go after it let's be honest we we're a little scared like we've been delaying this whole thing cuz there's an intimidation to this whole thing oh yeah oh yeah it's it's very scary throwing yourself out there I mean cuz we have conversations all the time I'm not afraid of no but now suddenly I'm gonna be recording and putting the internet and letting everybody judge us and hate but it's fine bring on the haterade bro like I don't even care I don't I don't even care bro just so let everybody know the fact that we just use the word haterade should give you good ideas to our age and generation yeah right did I just date us I'm sorry no dude I think I'm I'm proud of my date man I'm proud of it yeah about yourself there pug all right well uh name is herck pugm I'm uh born and raised arizonan um first generation for me my mom dad from elsewhere and um see grew up in the Southeast Valley Gilbert before when it was Higley and now it is Gilbert but wasn't then I went to Higley High School went to na married been for 14 years coming up in 2 months have three kids twins that are seven little daughter that is three crazy they are all born on the same day same birthday is extremely crazy when you think about what you guys went through for that that was for them to be on the same day same day in December right yep December 19th it is a fun month man fun month it makes birthday and Christmas e you just combine them right oh gosh actually this last year was the first time where I was like this is stressful there's L getting older now oh yeah and like you feel like you actually have to produce on their birthday yeah anyway so yeah and um let's see that's me how about you go ahead and give me your little rundown I'm the JJ of the show Jason covert from or born and raised Arizona I'm a native my family is a native my mom's from California but she' been here forever so it doesn't really account um I grew up in scholo Arizona graduated from sholo high school um I actually grew up in Vernon for those people who know where that's at it's a small little town between Springerville and sholo but uh um graduated in 2004 married I married my high school sweetheart been married 18 years and we've got three kids I've got a 16-year-old daughter a 15-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old daughter so those ages are going to come into a later conversation we're going to have here yeah we're going to yeah definit it's a fun time let me tell you like I mean I don't know any different but it's fun it's a good time it's funny I was talking to my mother-in-law earlier today and she said something very similar to like I don't know any different but well people like what what's it like having all girls right don't you want a boy and I'm like I would love to had a son I'm a football fan like we're getting dude I I'm all football and I've I still watch football it's just soccer now like it's great distinction there still football still football but it's I've had to learn what all that nonsense was and I didn't play any of that in high school so I've had to adjust but but again I don't know any better like it's I would love to have had a son to sit and play you know linebacker or something but no I got I've got a a nine and a three right in you said that I like I don't know what that means I was going to say fullback cuz I know fullback somehow translates into soccer they used to call them that stuff they you know wings and Midfield and stuff but now they do numbers Striker yeah now they're numbered a lot too so that's kind of like basketball yeah it's yeah so I but yeah I don't really know any better so it's been great I can't complain but yeah that's funny cuz again my mother-in she has three daughters and we're having a conversation about she's like well if I had a son I guess I would feel differently but I don't know any different yeah so nothing all right let's see here so give me a rund down what's your favorite football team I am a Dallas Cowboy fan cuz I'm an American and I feel like it's important to you know support America's team you're terrible dude that's the worst reasoning I've ever heard in my life I don't again you just let me State you stated you are a native Arizona born and raised lived your whole life and you arey Dallas Cowboys fan okay when I was growing up in the 90s the early 90s who was winning it definitely wasn't the Cardinals no no no in fact I I can actually very much empathize with these because we again same age grew up in the same era yep it was embarrassing to be a Cardinals fan I don't I remember anas William anas Williams amazing obviously Pat Tillman those kind of people when I was a kid Larry sers yeah and I met actually anus Williams at the Super Bowl he was great he let me he actually let me put on his Pro Bowl ring take a picture with him super cool guy but I I think it was just the like imp questionable age the star on the helmet the whole America's football team right that was that's just a joke now cuz we can't win it's been 30 years I think so but but it's I don't yeah I'm a native Arizona and my mom Packer fan dad Cardinal fan Die Hard how has your mom become a Packer fan from California yeah you know I don't know dude she was uh I don't know just that's all I've ever known her to know like like I don't know how it happened um but she was you know we always had different my dad's always been a Cardinal fan he'll live and die Cardinals he'll watch him until they freaking lose it like they normally do yeah say you know another 5 and 11 or 4 and 13 season right they want to beat the good teams to not get a good draft talk about elevator as well man trust me all right so okay and say I I don't I I give you a hard time only because I freaking hate the Cowboys so much you either do or you don't again going back to me as a young kid I was I grew up in a family that was a Steelers fan and I was a Steelers fan for one reason my uncle's dad so not even my grandpa my uncle who married in the family his dad played for the Steelers and holds a a punting record that I have I can't find I don't know what the record is it's something along like the longest pun in a game but back from like the 50s and 60s so we're going way back so pre- Super Bowl era pre- Super Bowl era so again we're going way back and because of that my uncle was one of the coolest dudes is one of the coolest dudes I've ever known absolutely love your Uncle Pat so I followed his team I liked his team and when the Cowboys and the Steelers play in the Super Bowl in '96 the '95 season obviously I hated the Cowboys thought they're the worst thing ever and then they absolutely destroyed the C the Steelers in that se that Super Bowl so that cemented my hate for them because they beat my family's team but truthfully like I I've been I I root for the Steelers when I'm watching them but I don't follow much anymore you know I mean they obviously they're like they're one of America's team so they're on ESPN all the time yeah they're always on TV that's another thing they were card Cowboys were always on TV right Cardinal never were they were always blacked out because nobody went to the games and now they play them that doesn't on the TV all the time and it makes me angry cuz I got to for the Red Zone channel so I can watch the Cowboys play hey man you know what it's time to switch allegiances I said the same thing to my nephew dude my nephews grew up big old Broncos fans cuz my brother-in-law played for the Broncos and once he not stopped playing for him I'm like why you guys rooting for the Broncos they're terrible so finally they're all growing up and becoming men and realizing you know I'm I'm going to root for my home team no I hey when the Cowboys are not playing the Cardinals I I the Cardinals beat the Eagles last week oh I that was rooting for the I was rooting for the Cardinals I like to see win I'm like a home team but no and the sad part is we haven't beat the Cardinals in years yeah we've lost to them here we've lost to them there I flew my family out to a game in 2021 I Reed in that I remember to watch them play and they lost dude they Lo the yeah so I mean it it could be worse I guess but I don't know it's fine it's fine like I said it's it's fun to rip each other about their favorite teams but and ultimately it doesn't even matter n all right so we've established Cowboys fan for football what other sports do you even care about about to say that you have a favorite team you know basketball I I love I when the Phoenix Suns are fun to watch it's fun to watch right now they're very hard to watch I don't even understand it half the time I don't very hard to watch right now I feel like they're off seating trading and moving people was wrong especially the end with getting rid of the you know cam Johnson and that's my opinion I don't I'm not a big- Time basketball anal analysis guy but I just feel like we had a decent team and you pick up KD who's washed up and he's good he's still KD he's a seven you're going to want you want peel back that wash up comment but but he's he's still good but like you you took a guy who you think's going to get you there and I don't think he's got it in him anymore I just don't cuz he doesn't he needs more than what we have to support him in my opinion but you know but I am I I love watching the Suns all go to a game I mean I remember the Suns with Steve Nash Rell when it was like dude they were like running and gunning dude it was just crazy right Le on fire man it was so fun they would give up a layup or a dunk for a three-pointer right and then it just constant like that was fun and now it's just you know you're you we we were good a few years ago I went to a playoff game sat behind the hoop it was awesome and then you just see them kind of like they're up and down it's very hard it's an emotional roller coaster kind of like being a Diamondbacks fan right mostly down with the Diamondbacks until recently it's been it's been a rough couple years for me all right so basketball Phoenix Suns I I know that towards in theay playoffs you're actually paying attention to the Diamond Backs but you're not a baseball fan I'm not a baseball fan I I I mean it's not a popular opinion but I believe it is like America's pastime like we need to let it go so not America P time like we pass our time watching baseball it's like no it's past time to be watching basball but I say that but now I will tell you haven't paid attention the pitch clock changes it for me changed everything the G the problem was the game was too long you I go sit by I've sat by Home Plate at a San Francisco Giants DX game in the fifth inning I'm like can we go like I'm tapped out I'm bored it's just totally and but this pitch clock thing changes it it speeds it up and I think I honestly think and we talked about this I think it saves it's going to save baseball not that it needed but allow get people more interested when they're not hey we're going to go to a game but it's going to take 5 hours to do a nine inning game or or most importantly I'm going to turn the game on but I'm going to be so bored I'm not going to watch any of it and I'm going to shut the game off and move and switch Channels cuz like the where the money's coming is in TV but now if you actually sit down and watch a game you actually see the game happen and it progresses there's no playing this like walk around the mound five times and all this stuff it's like no adjusting 15 seconds right when he gets the ball back is it it was 20 seconds with a player on base they just moved that down now to 18 seconds so they're even trying to speed up even more for this next season see that's and that's it's going to save baseball I think it's going to make it where people who are like me who are like dude can we please just move the game on like and you know the game the best games in I guess in baseball is like a perfect game right they used to be the hardest to watch cuz they were the longest oh yeah so you didn't want to tune in I'll just I'll come back in the ninth inning and see if he's made it now I think you're going to sit and want to work through these batters and do all the stuff with this pitcher cuz as much as we love home runs and bombs and all that it's you watch a guy pick apart the plate even I don't I don't like I don't play but it is so cool to see what they do cuz it is it's a craft it's something that they've done and you not a lot of people have done it and it's super cool to see and when it comes to the eighth inning you're you're pulling for a picture that you don't even care about right like you don't I don't care who he plays for you just want to see him do it because how many people can say they've done it mhm like so but so baseball's you know I'll watch it now it's getting there it's getting there it's on the uptick for sure because you would asked me last year before this no it definitely helps having a team in town that's good well and that was a thing to like of course you again like the Cardinals right you want to support the home team when they're doing well like not that the Cardinals are going to make it anywhere anytime soon but the uh the Diamond Back sure like they you know you saw them go to the playoffs and then they're they're winning and they beat the you know like who first they beat the freaking Dodgers swep they swep do and and for you baseball fan like that was like that was better than like almost better than a World Series dude like you take it in the playoffs I I can tell you right now I have never been happier than in two games the sweeping of the Dodgers and then when we came back against the Phillies when Alec Thomas hit that home run to T it was I can't ever explain to anybody the imense like I almost passed out from like excitement I was so stoked and the fact the thing I remember the most about it is sharing that with my son oh yeah little you know six-year-old boy who's been going to baseball games with me for 2 years right going to this the diamond back watching the pain on your face oh but mostly like he tells me maybe a month before that game that his favorite baseball player is Alec Thomas I didn't even know he knew any baseball players names let him known had a favorite he says his favorite's Alec Thomas shout out to you Alec Thomas you're the bomb and then for him to be sitting next to me finally paying attention to a baseball game it's the playoffs we are on the brink like and for him to come through like that was first off as a fan amazing but then for my my little buddy next to me to be jumping up and down hero just yeah cuz his favorite oh it was I'll never forget that that was absolutely awesome so other than that sportswise I I like anything I'll watch the Olympics I'll watch it all like I don't I enjoy sports good competitive stuff like I don't those are the main sports that most people know I I wish I knew more about hockey I don't know how much you know about hockey I wish I cuz it's like soccer but ice and like the same kind of rules right and a lot more faster and I like the fighting stuff the the the violence of it all is awesome I love the one the things I love about that is the self- policing that happens in hockey it's like listen if that guy takes Liberties hey go get him back yeah and you're allowed to do it and you are as long as you stand up as soon as you go to the ground ref stop it like there's it's but it's like men are still men like they're just like Hey we're going to handle this and it's over and they're happy about it and then and then you move on and go play the next one and yeah they're both in the Penalty Box whatever for 2 minutes or whatever and then yeah to no hockey is one of those things where I've been wanting to get more into it um in fact I was try and get some season tickets before they moved to mull Arena yeah because the tickets once they went to mull Arena like five times more oh really because there's only 5,000 seats so they have to jack up the prices and I don't think they they've probably sold that every game since I don't know I haven't really thought it but anyway I would love to look more about it watching on TV is very hard for me as a person who doesn't really understand the game and so it happens so fast and moves so quickly well and yeah you don't I you start to learn it as you walk but it's just like unless you know somebody that can walk you through I think it's like for me it was like soccer you takes a few games for you to understand maybe even a season like okay that's why it's off sides how is that off sides I don't I get you can't cherry pick but it's the close ones where you're like how how you going to call it off sides like I don't make it doesn't make sense to me but things like that are actually truly amazing where you have those line judges that are able to make those calls yeah that's actually pretty impressive when you think about it like they're not only recognizing when the when the pass is made and whether or not that guy in front by a foot of his Defender that's pretty impressive and the fact that that more often than not they're correct is pretty impressive even though you don't want them to be correct some you're super pissed about but you know they are and it's yeah it's it's pretty crazy to see how they do it it's one of those things I I would love to be a huge soccer fan and I want us to get an MLS team but it's not going to happen until we can find a way of playing indoors because it's so freaking hot in the summer here and unlike a place in Miami or pick another hot you know weather area area in the Summer where they get regular rain to cool off that day for us it's like no dude it's 120° and at kickoff at 8 a dry heat though I think it's important to know it's dry cuz there is no rain yeah no rain at all there nothing to come and cool that down dude no not even close all right well we spent a lot of time doing that so quickly I'll just kind of give the rundown for me I am um very similar to Jason minus his terrible Cowboys pick I'm a AR a Cardinal fan but generally I'll watch any football game that's on TV I'll watch I in fact today I was going to I plan on watching um I think it was uh Montana versus Seth toota State for the FCS Championship game I missed it could fell asleep on the couch but nothing wrong with the nap just so we're clear dude a Saturday afternoon nap watching a football game was great um but yeah any football game I'll watch it on TV but I'm a big fan of the Cardinals um uh obviously huge Suns fan but the same thing when it goes with that if there's a basketball game on TV as long as it's not a college basketball game because I cannot stand watching college basketball that's an UNP Mar Madness no like the like even when it gets to the 32 then the 16 you know what I'm saying you don't you don't even get involved just don't care really just don't care man because here's here's my problem with college basketball people will say that they have a problem with the NBA because like all all the flopping and stuff like that but I'm like those guys in the NBA are so good at everything they have to find every possible tiny little bit of advantage to fool and official to get the the foul right you watch a college basketball game those guys are just short of punching each other in the B because they're just going all the time I I keep going back to the Yukon Butler championship game from like 2010 or something like that way back when where it was a final score of like 32 to 35 after 40 minutes of basketball and I was busting my head against the wall because it was so awful it was such terrible basketball there are certain games in college where I will watch them and I'm like okay this is good basketball as long as it's not like a team shooting 20% % from the field I can watch it right but generally that's not the case and it's rare that you get a game where they're shooting 40% from the field 50% where it's actually good basketball good ball movement and that's why I have a hard time watching college basketball I will watch a game every once in a while but it's definitely not something that I care about a whole lot you wouldn't tune in like if you've got like a Cinderella team oh no I'll watch it right like so you can appreciate that little stuff of March man but you're not going to play like March Madness on a on a g like an app and no I'm not going to Vegas on the first day and watch in every game 20 screens or whatever and I get that I don't think I am either but it's but I I enjoy watching I played basketball for a long time after you know that's like how you stayed in shape after school and now I'm just how I got hurt yeah that's how everybody gets hurt it's you get banged up but you keep playing and you know keep going and it's so I love basketball but it's yeah I can understand your point I mean there's some it's definitely I don't know almost borderline crazy like but they're out of control I think it's a control issue there just the NBA is very controlled everything they do is these athletes are incredible and they're amazing college you have a few of those players who will make the NBA but everybody else is just there's no control they're just Hustlers they're hustling which I appreciate the hustle I don't want anybody to get me wrong that I think it's dumb that people are flying after the ball for a rebound and jumping over six guys for an overb back foul yeah hey you know hustle hustle hustle but the thing about the NBA that is so amazing to me is how insanely controlled those guys are to do things at such an amazingly fast speed it's it's similar to like a receiver in the NFL that is able to make make a sideline toe touching grab and bring his feet in bounds and able to do that well you know cradling a pass that was thrown 2 feet over his head that stuff is that's what's amazing to me because you see that in NFL games you see in some college football games more often than not you'll see a one-handed awesome grab but you see it all the time in the NBA all the time the things that those guys are able to do in a split second the way that they can contort their body to make a layup like D I watched bu bull last night make the stupidest I thought it was the dumbest shot I've ever seen in my life win in I couldn't believe it oh I'm a foul it was amazing and anyway huge baseball fan it should be noted um season ticket holder for the Diamondbacks for years absolutely love them it's hard to be a fan of something that lets you down so often hard you keep buying season tickets and I keep doing but the reason why it paid off this time it totally paid off this time in fact oh dude it was so awesome but another one one of the reasons why I do it is because I love going to baseball games cuz it's the easiest thing to take my kids to it's easiest game cuz it's it's pretty low stakes in the regular season until you get into September for the most part it's pretty chill never busy at the diamond back stage never super busy it's unfortunate for them but it's true but the other thing is also and like this is the hard thing I have about I I hate going to NFL games because every time you go no matter what generally and this is a generalization I understand the people sitting next to you are absolutely wasted and they're saying some of the dumbest things on earth and they don't know what they're talking about in a baseball game you'll get some people drink one or two beers in the game but they're not sosed right they're pretty coherent and you can have a conversation with them and even in this last game when I went to I'm sitting next to a Phillies fan and guy had a couple beers he's a Phillies fan from Philadelphia flew out to El no Amarillo for a job drove from Amarillo to Phoenix to make it to that game that night I mean that's some hardcore dedication to his team right for real nicest dude in the world that that goes completely against everything I've ever been told about Philly fans or Philadelphia fans in general like yeah the worst human beings on the planet dude was the nicest guy he just you know he was so obviously his team beat us which was a bummer but he was nice the whole time which probably helped that he were beating us but anyway that's the thing about baseball games I'm not worried about my kids hearing a bunch of stuff I don't want them to hear seeing a bunch of really terrible Behavior baseball games are pretty lowkey so I always go and I love it I love bringing my friends it's it's awesome big fan of that um I would love just finished Ted lasso so of becoming more of a soccer fan I have not gotten into that yet I heard about it I just can't down I need I'm going to when I get into another prep I'm going to do I need a show to watch on you know you're working out you need a show on the treadmill I got to I got to find something maybe that'll be it I got I got to say like me and Chay just finished it and I would be interested to what she says but I mean the only thing about it is the last season got pretty preachy in some ways but it's also something that I just have come to expect in just about every new show I watch yeah it's just okay that's just a part of kind of the how shows are now the way they all go and I the thing I did like about it is they had a tight three season Arc this is the way it's going to start this is the way it's going to end we're not going to deviate from it we're just going to go and that way the end had a nice tight ending even though it only three seasons three seasons that's it I felt that the last episode was incredibly unsatisfying I was actually very upset with the way it ended Chay didn't feel that way but so I guess it goes to depending on how your feelings are towards the end if you like a ambiguous ending or if you want a night Tice like tight closed loop on this I felt like it just left so many things to well is that maybe because they'll do something off Jason sudakas has made it very clear he is not doing anymore he's done and so I mean it's like and he is the show you can't just like continue Ted lasso without Ted lasso like you got to have that guy so anyway all right so let's see here we talked about favorite um teams favorite movies now you don't have to have like a specific favorite movie but like if you were to say these are a couple of my favorites gives an idea of like who we are who you are right right right I'll start this is not a movie Let's Get top it's a series okay and it is my all-time favorite doesn't matter how many times i' I've watched it the first time I watch it or the next time I watch it feels like the first time Banner Brothers never seen it Jason what I dude I I is it HBO it's an HB yeah no I mean I I it is absolutely must you must it's on Netflix right now they have it on Netflix it's been how many seasons is it dude one season 10 episodes that that's it that's it and that's your F so I guess I would be I could see that being classified as a movie because it's not like it's a ongoing like graay Anatomy 19 seasons in which makes zero sense for the record I you can hate all you want but that show needed to end along when that plane crash happened that show needed to end and but with you everybody will know as soon as hear me that that should have been over then they've taken it too far okay so I say that because one of the other favorites of all time is Lonesome Dove also notp typically or ex me technically a movie it was Min Series in the 80s three of them right I think it was six 1 hour episodes cuz it's a 6our movie now if you were to go buy the yeah I've seen it as a movie I never saw it as a series I've seen it as like I think it's two I think it's three 2our movies yeah probably I don't remember what it was all I know is back in the day it was a miniseries released on AMC but it's it is so good there speaking of Lonesome Dove and there's a a like a image burned into my brain of water moccasins because of because of m i that like you anybody says water moccasin my mind goes to that movie and I haven't seen it years at least and it is at least probably the guy on the horse you see all the water spashing all over the place it takes me right there like when they talk about water snake's in the water that's where my mind goes doesn't matter what kind of snake we're talking about I'm like oh no I a I don't do snakes and I ain't doing them in the water either d That's 100% true man for me so but like I said you you have to see Banner brothers and the best part about Banner Brothers True Story really it's a true story read the book every episode starts with interviews of guys that were Veterans of the the show it's it's really good you got watch it have to look into it all right heard it that one before Ted lasso okay so that's my two I said which are no movies not movies but but we could talk about shows like that's a whole another story pick movies but we could do show but if you had to pick a movie or two movies like what is something and it a have to be a favorite but what is a movie you can't stop watching when it is on TV it don't matter what you're doing you're plopping down I'm like I'm going to sit and watch this cuz my wife my wife knows right now there's a few that I cannot okay let's hear him so you tell me yours while I think about what mine would be this is going to be bad bro I'm telling you con a I can't I can't not watch it bro I can't like I don't care what I'm doing and my wife knows if it's on TV she will put it on knowing that I will sit down and just I'm going to watch this I can't help it so that's funny because this is just one of the conversations we want to have later we'll probably get into this deep my favorite bad movies of all time right I would put Conair in that it's a bad movie it is not a good movie but it's additive mine water world oh my god really with Kevin C he has gills bro can't stop dude if it's on I'm plopping down I'm watching it and and I'll rewatch that probably once every 3 years or so just throw the DVD in throw the DVD in the Water World dude love it love it I love bad disaster movies like that well that's a bad Disaster Movie bad Disaster Movie all right next one you said Conair well if we I mean any I didn't see that one was that one's the worst one like I can't help it like I Nicholas Cage hair blowing in the whim I I don't know what it is dude maybe it's the heroic I don't know but it's just yeah I think if I went to prison that's what I would do I feel like I would be that guy like like I'm trying to get out of here and my luck is I have to deal with this crap and I'm going to have to deal with I don't know maybe probably not but that's how I feel but if I had to go fav movie right now I I have a hard time steering away from Maverick top gun Maverick top gun Maverick just haday washed like a couple weeks ago I I watched it five times in the theater holy crap cuz Fat Cats has the recliners oh bro very nice no way to go I don't go to anywhere else it is very difficult to go to a movie that's not there yeah so I have five of us in our family we've seen it five times in theater that's $200 on the movie bro I couldn't get enough it was phenomenal from start to finish like I could my girls like it because of course they they they know to the minute when the beach sent is when they're going to play when they play that song Maverick football whatever it is call they're doing shimi out there yeah yeah they know to the minute what it is so hey you know what I'm happy for you that they know that yeah it's fine I'm like I've I've accepted it at this point like I'm like dude what am I going to do at this point man it's just I live with I have two dogs two female dogs a wife and three women I'm a lonely testosterone Worship in an estrogen ocean buddy like I've just accepted these little thing so uh but okay so you want talk about Series right I'll give you a good series too one I just watched was uh the night oh I just forgot the name night it's uh it's night night watch night night it's on Netflix I was just talking about it today what's it about FBI agent it's called the night watch it is it's called Night Watch okay um it's about an FBI agent who sits at a phone in the middle of the night and he's they're they cover this one phone where all like their CIA operatives or undercover people have a phone number to call if they ever need them and he's at the phone when it rings 10 episodes It's only one season so far yeah phenomenal right it sucked me in immediately and a lot of it has to do with I think what I do so like that idea of that but I'm like dude my wife was like you need to watch this I'm like heard it from another guy at work I was like okay I'll try it shout out to you Jenna yeah she was right I don't tell her I said that but but it was phenomenal or the shield You Ever Seen The Shield uh no oh bro old school 2004 it's about dirty cops phenomenal show um but I mean Ozarks like I could go into series all day like series are there's so many good ones they've done such a good job I mean Breaking Bad ended everything about breaking bad was good the beginning was boring but it ended well Sons of Anarchy bro that's all right so I feel like I'm getting a very good idea of what you're all into because all of these shows haven't watched any of them wow haven't watched any of them oh man I do remember the time though like I was my brother-in-law was telling me all the time you got to watch Breaking Bad it's so good so good and it just it's one of those things like just does not interest me well the problem is it starts out really slow like there's no hook in the beginning like it because it gives you why he does what he does so when you if you once you get past like five or six episodes you're invested and you're like okay and then it just goes and it is it's like you don't you just want to watch the next one cuz you're like you can't leave it with that I got to know what happens and keep going and you know he's just a chemistry teacher that starts making meth and he starts selling method and he becomes a Kingpin bro it's out of control but it's really good but it's yeah maybe one of these days we'll get into takes time we we just said me and CH just finished our show that we need to we need to get a new one the night watch I'm pretty sure it's called night watch on Netflix yeah on Netflix it's if you watch the first episode and don't like it we're going to talk about it because I want to know why like I can't figure out a way like it literally I don't want to say within the first 10 minutes it sucks you in and you're just like and it's a government conspiracy type play so you're like dude I cuz we all I mean we could talk about conspiracy all day day that'd be fun I like to talk about that stuff crazy about it but I still like I love people's perception of what because the government's up for whatever I don't rule anything out anymore and if the FBI is listening I don't rule anything out I'm just saying it's the truth of it all right so it's funny like the two the two ones that I listed are not my typical goto my typical go-to if I'm watching a show it's got to be funny it's got to make me laugh yeah I'm not generally into something that's going to make me bad or favorite comedy movie oh that's a hard is it didn't have to be the one right what is one that you think of right now like is it like if I was say hey let's go put on a funny movie what are you going to grab hey just so everybody knows that is my three-year-old daughter rehea singing in the background she's not even in this room but yet you can hear her clear as day she's a peacock she needs to [Music] fly that's that's a great one the other guys that's a great one that's a good movie that's a good movie honestly like I I can't think of one that I would say there's a million that I could put on there like the two that came to my brain cuz these the ones I watched all the time in high school I watched Saving Silverman all the time just watched that the other day again it's been a long time great movie that one and Stealing Harvard you ever see that one nope okay that one's a very lesser known one but me and my buddies watch that one all the time that wasun there's also you know obviously the classics of from our day like Tommy Boy Dum and Dumber Black Sheep Black Sheep those all the awesome '90s comedies I'm a Jim car '90s Jimmy car Jim Carrey guy all day Liar Liar Ace Ventura Liar Liar was one absolutely am phenomenal like I can quote Liar Liar from start to end like it's my kids hate watching it with me cuz I have to but yeah those are great comedy movies they don't make them like that no more when Chris Farley died there was an era of movies that was we we will never know we don't have because he was phenomenal he's so good I mean he was and the thing that's just a bummer about obviously anytime that somebody like that dies he like dude you just you left us all with this massive like void in our own Hearts not because we're just like so sad that you know you as a person died because none of us knew you yeah but because you all made us laugh and you were like you were making it man what was going to happen what movies do we not yeah what did we miss that we were not going to get back cuz you're gone yeah what role would he have been in that would have made it better like think you know I me that's a good question it's the same thing with like John Candy cuz John Candy died super early that guy had I we just watch cool run the day Cool Runnings great movie he died like 3 months after that movie or something like that I guess I mean I know it was pretty soon after that but it was one of those scenes where I'm watching I'm like dude John Candy what if he'd stuck around man what if he'd stuck around that's say what role would he have been in that would have made the movie better yeah that's actually a good question there's people that have like I'm sure they good movies but you know these like him and fary they would have made movies better mhm and we never get to see that that's actually something I haven't thought about a whole lot but that's very depressing very depressing to think about that your hard passes what's a movie what are your things where I'm not watching it like I'm just not going to do it so there's a movie coming out I think it's called night swim that's a hard pass for me scary hard do not watch things that are like all about like demons from the deep coming to get you I'm on board I can't I don't I don't know what this whole like satanic demon like pushes or like I don't want to call it a push but it just seems to be so like The Conjuring and all these I'm like no you ain't going to see me go to no I'm good like I'm out I'm not watching anything that's all about you know some Demon possessing this house or something like that not doing it also I'm not I'm not down with slashers like serial killers that are going out and just slashing people like uh Jason or you say serial killers we need to slow down a little bit because like I feel like that's a that's a horror movie I'm a serial killer fan I love listen this is this is dark but I a serial killer fan okay examples like the documentaries of these people right that kind of stuff sh's watching those all day long I don't I don't watch it because I'm like this is real this isn't a TV show anymore this stuff real outside of them killing and doing what they do as a like they're they're they're phenomal what they're able to accomplish and do for so long Ted Bundy out of control manipulation I mean he convinced that Church in Utah the whole Mormon church up there that he was not him like that's pretty crazy when you think about the manipulation of that guy and the only reason he gets caught cuz he bit somebody that's it that's the only reason why and he was a college student in Florida but oh yeah dude I I don't obviously we don't condone the zero but when you think about him or the Wayne gases or you talk about what's that new uh the Jeffrey dmer these people are out of control intelligent and this is what in the worst possible way in the worst way yeah no I and that's the thing is I am not going to deny either those are super like interesting stories you're talking like scream you're not into scream not into scream Friday the 13th nightmare Street you don't want Freddy C you know what movie is terrified it's a hard pass I won't even let a redheaded doll be in my house bro is pro uh that Chucky oh yeah no way bro no sorry oh no don't be sorry it's F oh man I'm only apologizing at this point no they're going to have to understand that really when it comes to that that's about the only like pass I have is that kind of scary horror movie I'm out on that I agree I can watch pretty much anything on TV but those kind I don't even they don't even interest me nothing about him yeah and I it's cool if you're into it whatever it's just not like my kids like scary like that movie is it stranger things is a series oh dude now that I I that's different bro good I can't like they tell me how dark it is and all this weird stuff and I'm like you know like it took my my 15-year-old like 6 months to get through the last season cuz she was scared she'd only make it so much every when she'd watch it again but that to me I don't know why I feel that's different I feel like it's different only because it's super nerdy it's super nerdy well cuz you're a Dungeons and Dragons Guyer so but that's I guess why I feel like it's different because oh dude it it is that is good that is really good and I've never got into it and I don't now it's like like I've never seen Star Wars ever you know I as a Star Wars fan I can understand why that wouldn't appeal to you that I can see because that's sci-fi like that's if you're not into sci-fi well and now I'm at the point where like people should no I I I'm like I'm going to go the rest of my life without watching it just to prove a point hey you know what I'm going to say to you about this one haven't we talked to you haven't you talked to my wife about what she's missing out on when it comes to peanut butter j sandwich start dude you're missing out I you can't compare Star Wars and peanut butter and jelly bro like I don't think that's a fair conversation I I'm really not because again one of those things where like I don't care who you are peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a treat yes and at any age it does if you have a nut allergy RIS R it yes risk it because this is amazing get an epip pin and just embrace the suck dude take the bites enjoy it and then you give yourself that shot I feel differently about Star Wars cuz again I love it it's fun everybody loves it I just like I said I'm at the point where I think I'm just better to I almost enjoy the shock on people's faces when they're like holy crap you've never how can you never seen Star Wars my dad wasn't I've never seen Indiana Jones no that I know that's different dude you got to see the original only reason I know about it is because of Disneyland dude whole Rock thing and stuff like yeah dude you okay Indiana Jones and Star Wars those I mean I know that they're about the same guy completely different worlds you got to see Indiana Jones I know I just but now I'm like all this technology with movies when I go back and watch Indiana Jones from with the Harrison 4 back in the day it's like I'll be honest dude it actually is better to me really I guess I'm worried it would suck no no I cuz there okay there's two there's three original but Temple of Doom is it's not good that's the only one I even know the name of okay that one that one's pretty bad it's it's not very good and someone might hate me for saying that but shut up you're wrong it's it's true it's not very good when you the Last Crusade and um Raiders of the Lost Arc they are absolute gems gems such good movies from start to finish and one of them's got you know um Sean connory you got to watch it man you got to watch it oh another movie that I can't not watch The Rock The Rock all day I was going okay I was going to bring that up when you said Con a cuz the first thing I thought of I was like oh dude this is that's a good ERA because the rock is awesome dude I can watch the rock all day awesome those are the those are my two like my wife knows dude the rock that's a good one that one's just awesome though it is it's so good again Nicholas Cage doesn't have to make any sense man it's just awesome yeah it's fantastic can't stop I can't not watch it I have to watch it okay so I think we're both in agree there's not really many things that we have a hard pass on aside from scary weird hor on that that I can't do it all right now I feel like that should be giving everybody a pretty solid idea of who we are and what we're all about if it didn't honestly I don't know what else to tell you yeah you'll learn more of it yeah later conversations we'll give you a better idea so a couple things I want to talk about first and you haven't seen this I haven't and I'm going to look on my phone so you got to look it up I'm going to look while we're talking while I talk about this one so earlier this week when the Carolina Panthers were playing the Jacksonville Jaguars um David teer the owner of the Carolina Panthers who's we'll say his reputation's not great so far knowing in the team it's not very good made a lot of really bad decisions with the team I don't know about him as a person uh like getting rid of Christian mcaffrey I don't know or like not drafting CJ strad who I just watched drop a dime for a touchdown I mean okay so I mean and I'll say this like the Bryce young CJ stra thing I didn't know that it was going to be this dire of a difference because Bryce young was great in college great in college but he doesn't look like he belongs in the same conversation with CJ Stout at all do you think it's because CJ strout has more around him to make him better some of it but I also feel like I remember in college thinking when CJ St played against Georgia last year in the playoffs he was good he was really good and it's hard for me to ever say this about a football player but you know the truth is true this Jason you and I we are different players in the field because Size Matters 100% size matters so much in Bas in basketball and in football it matters immensely two things size and speed yeah those two things are game changers it doesn't matter how good you are it doesn't it it's irrelevant when you when you when you're running a 4340 and you weigh 260 lbs Micah Parson's right like coming off the ball like that speed like the the refs are having a hard time gauging him because of how fast he comes off and it's been a big controversy and whatnot but he's but yeah Size Matters size matters so much and when you look at okay the other player in the league that is similar and I'm saying similar only because of their height at that position is Kyler Murray and Bryce young Kyler Murray I know that he gets a ton of hate here is so much better suited to be a good quarterback in the NFL than Bryce young is for one simple reason he is fast Bryce young is not fast I would agree I I have had the pleasure of being on the sidelines and seeing how fast he is he is he's not he yeah he is quick he's very Shifty he's a lot he's like a Tyreek Hill but playing a quarterback right but his problem is is he is too short if he is the same height as Bryce young that's why I'm saying between the they both are terrible that's why I'm saying that between the two of them who's better suited to succeed in the NFL it's Kyler young Kyler Murray because who's more a pocket passer well I would say probably Bryce young yeah but he'll be more successful in this league he won't be two reasons he Escape pressure okay he's not quick enough and when I say similar in size Kyler Murray's like 510 BR Young's like 5'11 Kyler Murray's like a solid 220 dude is actually pretty jacked pretty jacked yeah for sure Bryce young is soaking wet 200 lb and the guy I don't know I just and this is something I'm saying something that obviously I don't have a whole lot of personal in you know knowledge of because I don't know either one of those people individually I can just look at them and say if I were to stand these guys side by side and i' say who is going to be better suited to take the hits it's it's Kyler Murray even though Kyler Murray doesn't take size for sure I agree exactly and the thing about Bryce young is he he's getting absolutely plowed back there and he doesn't have an immensely strong arm Kyler Murray does have an immensely strong arm he does I got nothing his athletic ability and all that stuff is great he's he's an athlete like crazy yes he's just so short and he like I feel like he throws the ball blind because or he just knows where his receivers need to be and he's just throwing it there and I know the Cardinals line is not the greatest right I'm not a big fan of that dude on the end humph humph oh D I love DJ I can't I don't like his attitude like I feel like he just walks around that's best tackle in the league and he not I that's my favorite thing about him have you ever listened to his interview with him no I I greatest personality I'm sure he's a nice guy and it's just but when I see him like for he plays The Blind Side and I just feel like he should be better he played at Florida like you should be better and it's and he then you see him and he walks around like he's the toughest guy on the field and I'm like bro like you you aren't that good you aren't as good as you could be I think he's got the talent and the and the the potential problem is dude he's 30 potential's out the window now he he he is who he is I think he just got lazy like I think he's just comfortable like he's just like yeah I'm I'm a captain of the Cardinals I'm on the line I've been here whatever years that I think he just doesn't care as much and that's just a perception of me right like i' I don't know I'm sure he cares a lot I'm not I get it it's just a perception but I don't know I feel like he should just be better and he is older and I get that but it's I don't know I feel like he didn't try like I just but Kyler Murray again dude like I mean who else do you have on the line where he can do anything else so yes is that guy probably the best lineman they have sure but when it Stacks up against when you've got somebody on the other side of the ball like a TJ watt or something coming off I just don't think he's quick enough anymore but dude he T his ACL so you can basically say this he's most likely done with theard yeah I mean he's yeah he's I don't think he the thing and I hear everything you're saying I like him a lot I think he's a very good left tackle I think he's probably top half of the league as far as starting left tackles go and if you get a top half starting tackle that's pretty great you're doing all right you're doing pretty good and we drafted him we've you know given him a couple extensions he's 30 years old tore his ACL he's got two years left on his contract I would be pretty shocked if he was back on the Cardinal I really would and it's because the amount of money that they're going to save by cutting him at the end of they'll add that to the cap space go pick somebody up Paris Johnson's already on the right side most likely going to move to the left side we already have a high draft pick probably going to pick another tack I mean that's just what makes the most sense I like him a lot I also think that Kyler Murray gets a lot of hate from me too he drives me nuts sometimes but it's it's one of those things when when I here we are watching Gardner mitchu play the the you know as a Colts and I'm like I ain't going to be mad about my situation I well who came out of his draft class again do you remember his his quarterback draft class with Kyler Murray like who no one right so there wasn't anybody there not that I can remember I mean he's been in the league now how long four or five years he's this is his fifth year I think fifth year this is his fifth year I mean he spent L he he's most hurt between it was between him and Nick Bosa that was Bosa bro all day long dude bosa's had just as many injuries and he costs Bosa is a game changer though he's a game changer in a 4-3 scheme would he be in A4 G I don't know I don't know it's a good question I guess and the other thing is I also have a hard time saying that cuz I look at it and say the defense he plays on is unreal well he's got a lot of help and when they picked up Chase young I'm like how what did the Washington commanders or whatever get in return for that why would they give that up to the ners I I hate the ners I hate everything about that team but they the NFL that's what my Kyler Murray is a stud by all means I mean you look at all the way he's a specimen of human being an athlete just out of control but when you look think back he needs to be four in taller he needs to be a pocket passer with the ability to run not the not a running quarterback who can sit in the pass and if he if he has the time because if you look outside of Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes is he's a whole another he's not a conversation he's he doesn't fit own realm who look at the quarterback the Super Bowl winning quarterbacks who are they for the past 20 years Ben rothberger Tom Brady Eli Manning um I meanon Manning pton Manning yeah and Russell Wilson's that guy in there who floated in there right but the only reason why Russell Wilson floated in there is because he had an amazing Run game marshan was awesome the defense was great but he's still a scrambling he's a smaller scrambling quarterback but everybody else again Patrick Mahomes aside cuz he is out of control but okay this last Super Bowl okay this last Super Bowl who are the starting quarterbacks Joe burrow no was that before so Matt Ryan it was Jaylen Herz and Patrick Mahomes now Patrick Mahomes is not a pocket quarterback but he can be a great pocket quarterback Jaylen Herz is not a pocket quarterback he's a great fantasy football quarterback he's a great fantasy football quack helped me out all year long I heard I heard somebody say that Jason Kelce anytime that a quing back would get um tackled at the one he just go like hey I'm sorry dude but you know what's happening with this guy and then you end this conversation by throwing a drink in his face what do you do as the NFL so it's it it sucks and I and I know this personally how you you're he's held to a higher standard absolutely should be so and it makes sense he absolutely should be but there are 95 other people that get a beer thrown in their face by some other random dude nobody cares nobody blinks an eye no but he is held to a higher standard so I'm sure I think they I read that they were finding him a lot that's all but they find him like but what else $300,000 which is nothing to an NFL owner it's like $30 to any normal person yeah um but what would you want to have done I would absolutely suspend that guy from the games this wasn't even at his home stadium you're a guest you're in him for one game left no I'm suspending him for the rest of the season this just happened there is no season for Jackson they might be going to the they win tomorrow you're not going to any of the playoff games which I mean honestly truthfully does it matter to him probably not he owns the team right but you got to make an impression you have to make point is you got to do something I get it and I'm also saying that from the perspective of David terer is already getting a reputation as being a hotheaded owner and if you've only owned the team for six years seven years you know if you've only owned it for this long and you've already taken the mantle as one of the worst owners in the league and that's just because we finally got rid of the commander own I mean you immediately step into that role then a president needs to be set listen I don't care if that guy was talking about your mother and your wife you do not ever engage with fans you should be above that like thaty the guy's probably drunk you shouldn't be imagine if imagine if one of the players did that oh they would lose their mind 100% getting suspended so upset about it because it's an owner like you said one of 32 and they the NFL has this hierarchy of people and it's the owners and R gell right they don't they're almost Untouchable at least they allow I mean you see these guys and you're like come on like that officers don't get a pass on a assaults on people like you have to be a certain standard you live your life in a fishball you are one of 32 dudes that Not only was approved to own a team that has the money to own a team you are not the same as that dude you threw the drink on and I'm only I'm not saying that like you're a better human what I'm saying is the standard with which we are going to judge you is different that dude that was sitting in the back row that got the drink on him he's a guy that nobody knows and now we all know him and most people are probably rooting for him to get paid yes right they want it thise sue him get your dollar man I just look at and say the standard needs to be set that you're an owner of the NFL if a player had done something similar if a player had turned around and you know threw a gatorade bottle at a a kid in the stands or a guy in the stands talking crap that player is getting suspended there's no question about that player is at least game exactly and a fine yes yeah so to do to not do the same to owner I say it's always been an obvious double standard with owners I mean Jim IR is a great example and I'm not going to disparage the guy because he obviously has some serious demons he's got to work through but if a player was dealing with the same things the player's not in the league anymore yeah he's not well and they should be almost harder on the owner like but again if they do it this is a clear a chance where you can be really hard the first time cuz when was the last time you've heard of an owner doing something like this Hon have never heard of it I don't me either say it has happened I watch a lot of sports center I mean a growing I don't remember this at all but it could have happened but you got to set the St that standard especially because there's a new era of owners coming in with the torch being passed right like I mean Jerry Jones is going to hand the torch to his kid at some point when he dies because it's the only way Jerry Jones will not be involved in the organization as the general manager as the general freaking manager I will say this though I used to give him so much crap for being the GM but it's pretty hard to knock a lot of the decisions he's been making lately lately lately lately lately I'm talk it's only taken 27 years to be lately but but I mean he's made some pretty good picks in his lifetime I know no no I know trust me I love the hate on Jerry Jones love it but you know he he does a really good job I was just reading today about how you can hate Jerry Jones but he does a really good job of being like America's team he runs with that he's always the center of attention every year it don't matter who we have everybody's talking about the Dallas Cowboys potential as a as a fan of the of the rest of the league infuriates me to no it's like watching it with the Lakers I'm sick of talking about the Lakers yes they're a team that exists there are 29 others in the league talk about them I'm sick of hearing about it well cuz well we can get I can't wait no no we're not going to talk about that right now but that will happen eventually but my thing that just drives me nuts it's like okay I understand that there is a national fan base out there that really cares about the cowboys that live outside of Dallas yourself included especially because so many people became big fans of them when they were dominant in the '90s or in the the late 7s early ' 80s yeah the Roger staback exactly and it's the same thing with the Lakers like it's the same exact thing when they're the Kobe dominance and the magic dominance and then you kind of like you know I don't know big gaps in between but I understand why you have this National fan base you feel you have to cater to and you talk about it all the time on league pass or on ESPN but at the same time it's also like Gosh guys there's so many other teams that are having such great Seasons that don't have a big blue star on their Helmet or a yellow and gold jersey there's so many other teams out there that having great stories to talk about case in point the Baltimore Ravens this year fantastic Point like they are out of control and who have you when did you hear about the Baltimore Ravens at all the only ever time the only time I heard about the Baltimore Ravens all season was the game leading up to the 49ers game cuz we are so obsessed with the 49ers right now yep and all it was then is they were talking about how the the Baltimore Ravens felt disrespected that they were a huge heavy Underdog going into Sal San Francisco which I thought the story was stupid of course you're an underdog you're going to another Stadium it's almost an automatic three points given to those guys but they also ners and it's the ners they're freaking great every good team that they played this year they absolutely destroyed but they were quietly what they'd won 11 games to that point like and I didn't even know about it and nobody knows because they're the Baltimore Ravens like no I mean when you think about the Ravens you I mean you your mind almost goes back because of Ray Lewis right Ed Reed you don't think of Lamar Jackson's done phenomenal things in the league he's a great fantasy football quarterback he's great every year and this year they're talking maybe MVP which I would support Second his second MVP I would support it he's done really well and he's quietly done it you've got and that's not to discredit Brock P Christian mcaffrey you know these guys the Dak Prescott argument I I don't agree with I think he's played well but I don't think he's he he is the most valuable player on that team when he plays well we all play well but I don't he doesn't if he wins it and this is again this is not to disparage Brock py if either one of those two guys wins it it's because it's simply a Quarterback Award I agree neither one of those guys are the best players Tyreek Hill's got a better argument Christian m got the best argument oh for sure Lamar Jackson's going to win it yeah he and he should he's done well especially if they make it into the playoffs pretty deep it's I mean who else in the AFC is going to give them a run for their money if Miami gets knocked out early Miami they just got they just got absolutely destroyed by Baltimore last week well right but nobody it's hard to beat a team twice in a few weeks especially right but I but I mean the thing is also Miami lost both of their Edge rushers both guys are gone so I mean that hurts your defense so there's no position I think that hurts your defense probably more because the way it affects pass coverage the way it affects run defense it affects everything when your your best Edge guys when they have more time to pick it apart or whatever exactly yeah I agree cuz your I mean your quarterbacks have less time to to cover if they got a good pass rush they don't have to worry about those guys running free for you know but anyway in the AFC I can't think of another team I mean people are going to say the Chiefs because the Chiefs always do it in the play going say the bills like's a stud and I get it you know and in a one game scario any one of those teams could beat each other 100% it just I just have a hard time if I was betting if I had to put some money down on it I'm putting my money down on the 49ers and the Ravens in the Super Bowl which would be crazy cuz it's happened before and then you've seen this whole Super Bowl logo conspiracy the colors if you look you're like oh shoot cuz they changed it now it's this and you're like does the NFL really doing this but it is really funny to think about something that it was very funny to think that there's an actual like script thing out there that's it's obviously ridiculous the problem is is you see the Dallas Cowboy Lions game and that call at the end of the game and this whole thing and you're like is the NFL really involved so heavily with decision- making in games now they're trying to control stuff obviously betting's a problem with this I don't care I mean there was a great documentary on uh Netflix uh it's the Scott Don D some Don donu with the NBA that story just shows you that it's it's possible and it's happened it has happened you can't erase it the fact that is it did happen it did you can't say oh like that's not going to happen no it did and they were able to make a ton of money and you get the NL involved with these ref that play I'm a Cowboy fan but even I was like oh I mean I'll take the W but that's that's but I feel like you know the in the the Lions coach Dan Campbell Campbell he does say he was trying to be deceptive with hiding it cover like the same way we hide coverage the same way we did you know we don't just show them what we're doing we disguise stuff but we'll never know we'll never know and even then Dan Campbell should have kicked the ball like if you're if you're listening take the one point and go to overtime and you know what Dan Campbell you do you dog I freaking hate the phrase you do you but I mean I love everything about what Dan Campbell's done in Detroit so you know I just realized that he played for them I knew he was in but he was a Detroit Lion like he's got love for Detroit and he's been there when it was the worst the worst and I get it but I'm like hey you missed the one then miss the two we get we get offside just take the point bro like give yourself a chance to at least try but I know he's thinking I've got a yard and a half three yards whatever it is and I can get in but I mean you got to you got to just take the point at that point you're you basically like the world has told you no Twice by one reason or another like take the point and then go back and don't get it twisted let's just call it right now like even if they make that don't look don't act like we don't got 23 seconds and Brandon Aubrey is our kicker right Brandon Aubrey is unbeatable this year like if he finishes this game unbelievable he will be 100% accuracy as a field goal kicker he kicked a 60 y with 10 yard up on like he's F and he did it like it was nothing and it's unbelievable he is going to be I I don't know if he'll miss this week I really hope he doesn't everybody's kind of like nobody wants but the problem is you got guys like Troy Aman who are trying to jinx him like he's the worst announcer for the Cowboys Jo luck baby listen I think I think Troy Igman wants the Cowboys to be terrible every year because he doesn't want his team to be the team team not talked about mhm that's and it drives me nuts he's the biggest naysayer of the Cowboys and I mean listen to Tony Romo he's very objective he's stays with his like you know he he he sees both sides and he's a phenomenal announcer when it comes to gameplay and stuff but tryman it's like he hates us it's funny you say that because as a fan who's I as a person who's not a fan of him I feel like the reason why Tony Romo is that way he never won true Tony Romo was a good quarterback in his day he never won he never won anything of the Troy aan has nothing got the highest of expectations because he won I know but I still think it's he doesn't want it's like why would you not want them to be good like he's always talking negative about him like he drives me crazy and for me I look at him and saying I think he's telling the truth I think he's telling the truth about that team where it's like hater cuz you're a hater I think it's it's funny you say it's cuz I'm a hater I say it's cuz you're a lover like it's like it's a total Homer opinion where but it always feels that way when your team's being talked about that way so I also get that so but at the end of the day that that to wrap up that thought that was a you can't like I'll take the W it helps us secure a number two right now as long as we went I'm not goingon to argue but I understand if I you're a lions fan and you're upset I get it I'm not going to say I don't I get it I also and say like the reason why you be a lions fan if you're upset is cuz you've been crapped on your entire existence this is the one time you've actually shown like hey you know what we aren't just a a fad team we're actually a good team and we could have walked out of Dallas as the only team to beat them in Dallas in a long time in a long time and that would have been a big deal for them I still think they're a pretty good team they will be good I think they're going to do well in the playoffs I don't know if they'll beat win the first round depending on who they play with all the seating and stuff but I think they're going to it won't be a walk in the part game for whoever they play if if the other team wins but I still think you take the one point that's absolutely all right so because we've already gone a good long while here and you know what the first couple episodes are going to be a bit of a disaster I'm good with that if you if you're still here I'm we're good yes I've got one thing that want to talk about before we kind of close it out here and that is did the Cardinals screw their future by beating the Eagles I think so they had the two the number two draft pick they were the number two pick the problem is Bidwell doesn't see like he want he doesn't think he needs anything like that like a person where they need to get a quarterback or whatever they think they're set there so I think he's just playing it safe but why would you not just say you know what like let's just try to get a really good pick so I understand as from the coach and the players perspective you are never never ever going to look at it that way you're never going to look you're only going to look at it is we have a chance to beat them we are going to do everything we can players looking at it because they need a job yeah they need a job coach is looking at it because his overall record regardless of whether he had a good team or not will affect his job status I mean Steve wils is a great example he was given a bad roster he had a bad year he lasted one year yeah and he hasn't gotten a head coaching job since which is terrible because he definitely should be the the Carolina Panthers coach he absolutely should be their coach so I know the coaches and the players are never going to look at it that way and I can also look at it from the general manager perspective of saying hey you know what I depleted this team as much as I possibly could I jettisoned every possible player that I could without getting you know destroyed from the F from the fans and yet we still won so there's a little bit of pride in that but and in the shortterm joy of beating the Eagles cuz trust me I was joyous watching them lose I loved listening to their fans fans boo their own teams they were getting beaten by one of the worst teams in the NFL I loved it but I couldn't help the entire time of thinking like man I really hope Jaylen Herz hit the Hail Mary I hope that they just hey you know what that way it's a great team moral Victory not an actual Victory moral viory look at this we totally stuck it to this team it's one of the top teams in the NFC we were with them all the way to the end it took a miracle for him to get out of with a win blah blah blah um because I don't want to pick a quarterback in this draft I don't want Caleb Williams I don't know enough about D may I don't I'm not big fan of we've already said what I've said about Kyler Murray I have I I have definitely got my concerns and dislikes about Kyler Murray but I don't know enough about Caleb Williams or Drake May to say that they wouldn't be the same problems or different problems but I do look at it and saying the number two overall draft pick is valuable oh I would agree people will give up everything for that draft pick and I wanted that I wanted that to be able to say Hey listen um insert Team New England Patriots um anybody you know Washington commanders you need a quarterback you need to give me all of your future to get this number two pick because this is one of the few years in which they said that there actually is a generational guy out there to draft that teams would give up a whole bunch to get that pick so I'm looking at a perspective of this is a chance for us to again double down and replenish all of our draft stock get new guys we got tons of you know uh free uh cap space out there to be able to get free agents so did we potentially screw our future for a short-term win that was good and it felt great in the moment I think we kind of did well and what did you get out of it like what what at the end of the day like where did you beating Philly yes you can say you beat Philly this year like you can say you beat the Cowboys literally all we can get out it right so like you didn't benefit you you lost for sure but there was there's definitely a lose but where what did you gain very little and and the fact that this end of the season the last game against the Seahawks a very beatable team yeah we could slide even further down from having number two locked up to being in eight or nine yeah that's horrible that freaking sucks really well especially for a team that needs draft piit Yeah and especially for a team that we went through this crappy season knowing we were going to have a bad season believing that meant we were going to get a good draft pick out of it so that we could replenish and rebuild only to find ourselves drafting at the end of the top 10 and not number two or number one and we were expecting the Texans to suck they don't suck they're pretty good so their pick could probably be in the 20s so instead of having two top 10 draft picks which is what we we expected this year we would end up having two late 10 early teens mid teens late teens 20s who knows what the Texans is going to be as they just go up 14 to3 on the Colts which means it's probably going to be in the 20s so I mean it's just a bummer it's a bummer it's it was cool to watch the win love hearing Philly fans boo their own team had it happened to me twice this year when the Diamondbacks took him out right you know and then you so it's good but ultimately it does nothing because the Eagles are still going to the playoffs and we just dropped ourselves out of that very valuable number two right for getting draft trade for sure any kind of draft capital in the world you you had the world was the league is at your disposal cuz somebody I mean you look at quarterbacks that are needed in a lot of teams I mean dude look what the Panthers gave up last year to the Bears they it's totally screwed them over I mean totally screwed them over yeah they're the worst team again again and guess what the Bears have again again the number one overall draft pick again two years you know they're not taking a quarterback I think they believe in Justin Fields there I I I can see both arguments I can see both sides of that argument I feel like with DJ Moore when when DJ Moore is healthy they're it's dangerous I I also I really like Justin Fields I I like the way he plays I think he plays like a baller he always goes out I don't have any issue with him at all no I mean he's one of the most athletic if not the most athletic guy out there you know next to Kyler Murray when it comes to just flat foot speed on the field he's got a big arm he's got a big body he's a big tall guy the only thing about Justin fields that I would say it's been a problem sometimes he says some really stupid things to the media he he he's he said some things where it's like dude it's this generation they don't it's not stupid to them like TR orence ain't doing that he's not saying the same stupid stuff Lamar Jackson's not saying the same stupid stuff I mean it justtin Fields he will just put his foot in his mouth a little too much but if that's my biggest problem with him that means I have no problem with him right right agreed and he's he's a good player he just I don't think Chicago is going to take a quarterback so maybe they'll fall few are going to fall I wonder if the Michigan quarterback will enter after a na if they win the national championship he'll say you know I'm out I I want him to because he's not good I I'm not disagreeing with you I'm not after watching him play with Alabama and some of the throws you're like I don't I don't understand the hype cuz freaking harrock came on and said that he's the best quarterback to come through the Michigan which that's a guy that that's Harbaugh just backing his guy because it's the dumbest thing he said and he said a lot of dumb things unaccurate like wild crazy we're talking about the greatest quarterback of all time in the NFL where did he go Michigan and his name ain't JJ McCarthy so I mean it just that's just one of those things where a coach backing his guy to give him confidence after a big win you know like of course you're especially after the big win you're going to the national championship game over Alabama of all games right you're going to talk you're you can't not say it absolutely all right so let's wrap it up on this thing we got some of the things we're going to probably tackle next time around um you want to talk about some New Year's resolutions yeah and goal it's uh I think you know just the new year like what are you you what's your plans this year I'm a big goal Setter in the sense like not a goal Setter of like dumb stuff but like I feel like you've got to you got to have some kind of goal like I'm a fitness guy right like I I have to have a goal what are some of your goals like family maybe or professionally in work or do you have any fitness goals or absolutely have some fitness goals so as you know this is something that you know you and I talked about quite a bit because mostly when I saw you post those pictures of when you did that show and do you want to tell people what I mean by that show or do you me not no it's fine it's going to it did I uh I weighed close to 300 lb at one point I'm 6'4 so 300 wasn't crazy but it was definitely fat I will say this you look you look like a big strong guy yeah I I was a guy that went to the gym but I ate like total crap because I went to the gym so I decided to change my life a little bit in 2022 and I competed in a bodybuilding show and I got down to 216 lbs I was probably and those of you who don't know what a bodybuilding show is Jason was up there practically Buck Naked did you do a spray tan I did spray T so listen that was the worst part people talk about the diet and stuff no no no when you have to get spray tanned and you are butt naked and I was told my wife's like oh it'll be a machine they'll they'll spray you you'll be in these weird positions no a human being with a spray a girl with something cold spraying your body and you are butt naked and there you start out facing she's got she's got your backside and when she says turn around you're like here we go and she is yeah and she is right there spraying your legs your thighs everywhere you're just like oh this is I mean I'm good I got I mean I'm fine what it is we talked about earlier that's a hard pass for me so I just I didn't know but I I figured why not and it was it is it's the most it's probably the most vulnerable you can be as a human we are a such a society that is always worried about how we are perceived by others or nobody thinks like they want to be in a like they're always worried about people wear shirts in pools right because they're worried about their body it's a self-conscious thing we're all almost don't we all lack self-confidence like crazy so when you put yourself on stage and there are lights up and you are in shorts that are 4 in and you're saying and you're literally being judged literally here I am judge my body it's h i have such a respect for all the bodybuilders all the people that are doing it whether it's amateur whether it's Natty whether it's not whether whatever it's just the discipline and that thing you're putting yourself on stage for a panel of judges to say no you didn't work hard enough the past year cuz you're missing this striation or this guy's got this hamstring and you don't or what so it's it's a whole different sport and I've got it's a crazy thing so that's yeah it's it's fun I know that when I saw those when you posted I remember just being blown away one cuz I hadn't seen you in a while yeah right um I was absolutely and I I remember messaging him like dude I am super proud of you I'm not your dad you don't need to hear tell you that I'm proud of you but I was Ser like that takes some so much dedication so much self-discipline of saying no to yourself I mean all day every day and I'm a foodie I love to eat I mean I feel like I was much happier when I was fatter I think fat people are naturally more happy because they're just eating and it's good but there's it's just a different but I'll I'll tell you there is a different confidence that comes when you feel like you look good naked like right like everybody's like I'm fine naked but no when you feel like when you've got like ABS or your your body percent Fage is under 10 and and some like I was close I was probably like six that's amazing dude and I mean deplete it out right I mean and all and for anybody that wants to get into it you got to know that it's very dangerous like there's um things that happened that I didn't expect like I had blackouts all the time like if I stood up too fast I would black out and everything would just be gone and then it would slowly come back and I could go that is terrifying to everything like I mean I'm talking like you get up in the middle of the night to pee I'd have to sit on the edge of the bed breathe and then slowly stand up and I was fine and the first couple times I didn't do that I almost fell into my towel rack which has got things that could pierce my eye and I was like what is going on but so you do you push your body to limits and I and I'm sure there are way worse cases cuz I I did it all Natty I didn't do gear I can't do gear because of work um so I can't even imagine the other side effects to things but like I know if you get on Tren you I mean you there's guys that are on Tren which is an anabolic steroid that they have to change their shirt two or three times a night because they're sweating so much holy crap when they're sleeping yeah so there's a lot of side effects of that stuff but this was just all Natty just taking everything I got pushing myself to the complete Max and my body's reception hey this is some of the side effects where like I get up out of my office and walk down the hallway and it would be all black and then it would just come back like you just kind of got used to it I knew if I just kept walking straight it would I knew where I was going so there is some side effects to it some drawback but it is there's a lot of discipline again the sport is it's amazing what people can do and you got guys like J Cutler and Ronnie Coleman these guys have been doing it forever when when Arnold did it when he was young J Cutler not the quarterback not the quarterback no we W talk about a Bears quarterback like that but best thing Jay Cutler ever did was star on um the league when he was on the show The League that was such a good show so that was such a good show I would love to see that was awesome yeah I would love to see that one brought back to life cuz dude the league was so fun it was so good so but yeah anyway so so okay so a couple things again we talked about you know we kind of veered off of what you're talking about other things you done you've done Iron Man's you've done marathons you've done things like that which are crazy impressive that I will never do I have no desire to do that I didn't either it just takes the right person to well I have a real good buddy I work with he literally told me I couldn't do it like he tried and tried and tried he goes you know what you're right you probably couldn't do it anyway what a jerk and I'm like I'm like he knew exactly what to say I'm like no you didn't and and again I'm a big dude I'm not I've never been small I I mean my I just I'm naturally a a bigger person so when you like when I was running in the the triath on that iron half Iron Man I did people were like dude you're too big to be out here like I'm like I know thanks for the vote of confidence you know like I already do this I already know this but I'm here but yeah no it's it was cool I mean I did a Saints to Sinners which was a bike ride I rode five of us Road from Salt Lake City to Vegas so Fitness is I love I changed my whole life after that one show kind of got into me and then now I just enjoy pushing my body I want to see what I can do see I I know that every time you that you post anything that you're doing or if I see something from Carl when you guys do something I really am like it's super impressive I so years ago I worked with um two guys that I've always looked at and said you guys are just absolutely insane in the in the best possible way like I wish that I had that kind of discipline to do it um shout out to you buckles and you know who you are John Brown coolest dude in the world I mean they've done things that were I'm like that's just amazing I can't believe you guys are doing and they still do it and I have never had a desire to do any distance yeah anything but I do have a really strong desire to to reshape my body cuz I was crazy athletic in high school now when I say crazy athletic I'm not talking like an All-Star every sport but I was one of the fastest guys in my school you know in the gym I held a couple of Records when I was there I'm sure that they're all broken and gone so I'm not trying to pump myself up from that but I look at myself now and I'm like I got a lot of work to get back to at least looking at myself like saying if I got into the mirror and said hey you know what I like the way I look I'd like to get to that point again cuz every time I get in the mirror now I'm like ah what have you done to yourself how have you allowed this to happen well and the reality is it doesn't take long it just takes consistency yeah right like when I first I I I would argue it takes long well not to see to get to that point where you're happy yes but to start seeing like progress right that's the thing about the gym like you it's ain't about motivation motivation Fades after a week it's discipline it's getting up every day you know you you listen to these guys like David goggin and these guys talk about discipline and what it means and you know Mike said it best discipline is doing something you hate and pretending you love it right that and that's the truth of it right you got to just go the grind but when I first started it was like okay I'm going to give three months I paid a guy a trainer said hey three months I'm going to give you three months I'm gonna do everything you say and when you get to that three Monon Mark you're like I can see progress like I had lost 20 something pounds and you see your body start changing so I'm like okay hey I'm going to do it again and the six-month Mark I was like okay like I I I'm down my waist size went from a 42 to a 38 I think um and and I was like okay I'm going to do 6 months by myself and when you don't have somebody holding you accountable it's a lot easier to slack right and then I got into it again I started back in the beginning of the year in 2022 I was like okay I'm going to do a show and then you see your body completely change and now I think it's still hard to there's a lot of body complex issues that come with it but it's it's once you see the results it's addicting it's a it's something you just when you walk past the mirror you're like you know I'm 6'4 260 lbs and I have a size 36 waist like I'm very happy with that you know although in my mind because of the shows I hate my body you know I'm like you could be so much thinner like you could be so much better but anyway I I know we talked about this one of the hard things for me is when I do get into all I need to slim down it's hard because I've been doing all this work to build up muscle and then once I start to lose the weight I recognize an immediate immediate drop and ability to do what I did the last week and that is the complex for me where I'm like okay be good with it it does not matter it does not matter if last week I was benching 325 and this weekend I can only do 300 that doesn't matter what matters is I drop 10 lbs that's what matters because I'm getting myself into a healthier spot because for me at my size I'm 5' 10 right I'm 5' 10 and I would say that for me I need to be at about 200 lb is where i' feel good I am easily 220 now and 3 months ago I was 230 and at 230 I was benching 325 and I was doing it you can't have both and it's so hard man but you can't unless you're not Natty if you are on gear you can be slim and you can be strong yeah which I'm not going to do anything other than natural it's got to be that well of course right so you can't get both and that's the hard part for us men right cuz we want to yeah I remember when I was fat when I was 300 lb I could bench press I could do I could do everything I wanted to do right I could bench press 225 28 times like it was nothing that's legit NFL combine level stuff right like no problem on a four set right on my last set of them I would do it for 28 times now no way no way like I'm good to get four sets of 12 and in the last set I am like okay yeah but you so you can't have both and and again I you know you deadlifting right I want I wanted to B I wanted to deadlift in 2020 during The Rona right when we were all stuck at home I wanted to deadlift 600 lb I'm was like okay I'm going to do 600 maybe get higher end up herniating disc but then my Doc's like whoever asked you how much you deadlift anymore I'm like nobody I did I asked you that but really nobody asked nobody cares like it doesn't matter so stop destroying your body and it's but it's right you can't be strong and cut or strong and muscular and all that and strong and and lightweight the the lean and strong is next to Impossible you can be lean or you can be strong right and that's why you see these strong men right look at Brian Shaw's Eddie hallor they are they're not fat but they are big giants like Eddie Hall when he deadlifted the world record I think he was Nor right around 350 360 lbs and he's my height mhm or you've got Brian Shaw who's over 400 PBS but he's 68 I he's like 68 he is a monster of a human right but you have to be big you can't not you can't you just can't do it you ain't going to see a guy 180 lbs putting up like strong man stuff it's just not going to happen it is what's hard also because you know the in the social media world we live in when you see these guys doing things like that that looked like they might be 175 180 PBS and you have to recognize that yeah I'm only seeing the end result I don't know what they're taking da I don't know what I don't know how long it took them to get to this point in what supplements legal or illegal right there was air quotes right around that that we're taking to get to that point but it is one of those things that it's hard because I am not a naturally super strong guy right I I I say athletic I can run one of the things that my goal for this year and this is a very nebulous not um specific goal my goal this year is to be able to run without hurting that's going to take a minute you know what it is I love is this with it run slower I think that takes that's a hard thing for me I was a sprinter in high school like a 4x1 state championships like that was you do a football player right 6 seconds give it all I got I can rest yeah can endurance it's long and slow and you're like why I'm running at a 1025 1030 pace for a mile and a half a mile like this is like a conversation talk but over time if you can keep that it's huge you know so if you want to not hurt it just you have to go slower and you have to go longer and it doesn't make it just feels like every single time I do anything I hurt the beginning is going to hurt it's it's just it's that's the thing that gets me it's like I'm dude we're 37 I shouldn't be hurting when I just want to do you know if I'm going to do 100 push-ups a day when I drop down for my first push-up I shouldn't feel it all over my shoulders but the problem is you stopped doing them so your body has not been in but no that's the thing is I've been doing them I one of the problems for me is I sit at a desk all day and so I've got bad posture you see me if you I sure if you notice I'm constantly adjusting my neck because I know that what I'm doing is I'm slumping and it's causing some it causes problems my shoulders anyway we don't need to get into that that's a topic for another day but basically when we talk about goals my goal is I want to get down to 200 lbs and I want to maintain it I want to be able to run without hurting I want to be to play basketball with my son and be able to actually play and not be like I'll shoot up a couple then you get after a buddy like I actually want to be able to play not be breath yeah 200 lbs is like the one like statistical goal that I actually have I want to be able to get to that and maintain it um and and I know it's it's 20 lbs I think I got to get to and I know I can get there it's easy it's all diet and you you work out a little bit here and there sure but it's all diet I know that's the hardest the hardest part for me is the diet because dude one one of the hardest thing for me is and this is this is probably like a a I don't know a dis on the American economy we don't have readily healthy food no it's expensive to eat Health expensive expensive they want you to eat preservative crap yeah and that's what's easy to find that's what's easy to get the fast I mean the the quote unquote healthy fast food option I have here is salad and go that's it and I feel like in-n-out's healthier it is like you know what I just saw that it was one of the healthiest fast food restaurants in the country it's like number two number one was water burer that was for the burger I saw that the burger itself Water Burger I still don't know if I believe it's hard for me to believe but you know what I don't know all the metrics here what are you saying you're talking about just the lettuce itself I mean right where we at exactly cuz it was real close with those two but yeah in and- out's phenomenal yeah but but that like I said that's the hardest thing is the amount of money it takes to eat healthy plus the amount of time it takes to eat healthy like I don't have anything in my fridge I can pull out right now and eat last night the only thing I had in my fridge I could pull out to eat was a bowl of shrimp it was a bowl of cooked shrimp that's what I ate you have to prep I know I dude and I'm a guy that preps every five days I have to prep food I still do it and I'm not disciplined like I was like I I do I'm going on a cruise next week doing some stuff I get back my goal is to do a show this year in August right I'm going to do another one I was told I needed to be bigger which is crazy but in my frame I need to be thicker so I'm going to dive all in once we get back from the cruise and then go again and push my body to do it but it is I me I'm you're meal prepping every four or five days and you have to be you just have to do it like it sucks I found some cheats like you want an easy way to do it you got Sam's Club membership no Sam's Club has chicken already cooked marinated and everything it's grilled and you can buy it's a little bit more per pound but when you don't have to sit at a grill for an hour and cook seven pounds of chicken and you can just cut it with scissors into a bowl and put your rice in it saves you a ton of time and youat rice oh I eat rice all the time I hate rice oh never been a rice fan yeah you can have potato like that's the thing people think oh like you can't if you're going to do this you can't have carbs you can't have no no no no trust me losing weight when I was that heavy the amount of food I was eating was close to 9 lb a day 9 lbs of food a day like I was eating six times like I was eating a pound and a half of food at once like it was like how am I gonna mad like how it was 8 ounces of potato it was 8 ounces of protein and it was 8 ounces of green vegetables like five times a day six times a day I'm like how am I losing weight this way but you're fueling your body right so yeah but rice carbs all that stuff I have red potatoes yellow potatoes you know you can do that instead of rice but how do you not like rice bro I don't know I it's it's I've never liked it in my entire life as a kid I remember my mom would make I we call the Chow I have no idea if it actually was Chow it's one of those things like it's a like a home meal that you eat or somebody calls it something and then you end up like dude I've never that's not beef stroken off I don't know what you're eating over here I've never Hamburger Helper yeah it's like I don't know but everybody's got their own different names we called it you know chain and I would sit at the table for like an hour after everybody was done cuz my family you were not allowed to not finish your food you were not allowed and my dad would sit next to me and wait till I finished and I couldn't I just couldn't do it because of the rice I could eat everything else couldn't eat the rice and like see I don't I dude rice has and it's I I think I've just kind of had to change that but you put give me red hot and rice girl I see I can I can eat rice now I just it is definitely not something I prefer at all I do not want it I love rice I can't even like I could eat it with every meal and not have a problem if if I'm going Chipotle right and get a salad get a bowl whatever what salad Browner or white none but I was like no I'm like yeah no rice just give me double the beans see I'm the opposite double the rice no beans oh see I love beans I love black beans I haven't had beans in forever no man maybe I shouldn't have beans either if we're talking about this but anyway well I'm going to say that's uh episode one and um I I got no closing statements other than we went over covered a ton of stuff yeah it'll be fun this is and this is what you can expect from this show there's not there's not really like we're not going to be politically driven or anything like that we're kind of open to a lot of different things I think at some point we will talk about certain things where you and I we we kind of float the same re like same we we we get to the same result but we have different ways of our thinking and that's why I think this works for this cuz I'm way different from you with this some of this stuff and you're very you're more I think you're just more intelligent than I am so that's a very nice way of putting that you know so you think about it differently but this is the kind of show that we I think we want is something we can have an open dialogue about and just talk about whatever normal people we are normal people they're we're not celebr we we have no ties to anything we are just two dudes sitting in a at a table right now in a dining room yeah I don't have a doctor degree I don't got got nothing I ain't no Dr Phil I ain't even a fake doctor bro like like I got nothing like this is like you said very much of like we're going to most probably mostly going to be talking about sports mostly cuz I mean that's that's kind of what we occupy our time with there probably every once in a while we'll have a discussion about something that may be on the political Spectrum but we're not going into politics yeah I don't I can't I don't want it's it's a dumb thing to do because one of the things that drives me nuts about political conversation and I am guilty of having political conversation all the time I enjoy them but the problem is is somebody always gets offended or takes it personal right or or the thing that drives me honest is like listen if we have different opinions why can't we just accept their different opinions AG we don't got to go down to this long drawn out fight over you me trying to convince you that what I believe is true and you doing it's not going to happen it doesn't matter it doesn't matter just be a that's the biggest thing be a good person like don't care about all it doesn't it doesn't people don't talk to their family because they have different views of politics I'm like who cares who they voted for it doesn't matter it just doesn't matter you know what it's funny in my family and my immediate family me and my wife I still don't know who she voted for in 2020 and I don't want to know I remember telling her don't tell me yeah it just it it shouldn't even be relevant to your any relationship you have if if you're basing your relationship off of political point of views that relationship is worthless yeah because it's never going to be okay like you now I I do I have right leaning friends I have left friending friends I love talking to them because I like having a conversation where you're like tell me how you're thinking about this like why I just want to know I'm not going to argue with you because I can't change you but I'm not going to be disrespectful to them or yes do I think sometimes both and both sides of the aisle are crazy in some SP this is something you and I both very much agree on yeah like we I mean you can they almost need an independent party to take over right cuz it's just so crazy on both sides but either way that comes down at the end of the day is just be a good person exactly just be good so I can say that that's probably to the extent with which we would get into a political thing there might be something that happens you know some event that happens that everybody needs to talk about yeah those happen I mean shoot we're not too far removed from whatever was it March 15th 2020 or whatever the date was I remember I was on a boat when when the whole world shut down I mean that's something that's going to have to be talked about you can't ignore those things yeah but we'll be objective and I don't think we'll do our best to sit back and just and look at it from a full perspective and not just not spew the first thing that we heard on whatever podcast or or news station so that being said um I think um if you're listening to us if you went the whole hour and a half and got to this point I really hope you enjoyed it must have been a really long drive you know what I hope I didn't talk too fast where you
