one of the crimes that we profile dive into with the prosecutor of that crime was the actual murders that scream was based on that's number one but it also I didn't know scream was based on something Loosely was that the Florida murders the Gainesville Ripper the gainville Ripper yes so we have the honor of speaking with Rod Smith who was the prosecutor at that time who was also flid much time well interestingly um as often occurs when you dive into brutal or serial killers you realize that prior crimes that were seemingly unrelated to Prior homicides were in fact his doing too so at the end of the day it was over it was a short period of time was like a month of total Terror for these students but what they learned later was that there were additional homicides and also robberies that were attributed to him too okay so he was like practicing elsewhere wasn't for decades but the the fear lasted um a month or two his crime spree lasted well over a year
