so good evening and welcome to the postmatch press conference after bayern's 2-n home win against fryberg we are joined by the two head coaches Julian Schuster and vanon Company first we'll hear from fryberg head coach Julian Schuster yes thank you very much and good evening everyone so my first thought is to give a compliment to Bay and vanon comp to their first home win of the season I think the lads took on the challenge they needed a few minutes to find themselves defensively but I think the way we approached the game was still good The Lads still won a fair few balls in Midfield and there are a few moments where we could have played things out better and cared out chances but we had to buy into the demands of this game the demands that Bayern made of us and then you fall behind it's tough to take the way it happened as well at the end of the day we don't want to GI goals away like that the way we played in the second half it was a lot more evenly match we had more of the ball as well we proved that we were fit we were able to maintain the intensity levels we've lost today but ultimately the way we've lost is something that we can build upon but again I just want to wish Fon and Bayern everything or all the best for the coming season yeah thank you um really quickly in um I did all the interviews in German so I'm just going to do one quick statement in English um yeah so first of all I thought that um again I I think I said in the press conference the amount of respect I had for for fredberg for everything they do and also to be able to come here and compete I I think many people will probably not realize how big an achievement it is for for the club and for the coach um and then on on on the other side the first half was was really positive for us in terms of um trying [Music] to limit a little bit the threat of the opponent and at the same time try and create our own chances and then um we were good on the second balls we were good on the on the counter pressing game pressing and this allowed us to to keep momentum in in the first half so very positive first half and then in in the second half we were just one one step later than than frig plays on on Second bows and we lost a little bit the momentum but then I have to say that we're very fortunate to have very good players that can come and make the difference and and Thomas Miller came on Kings come on and the players from the bench were very important for us to um to win this game so um yeah positives and and things to learn and we continue we um we get also to celebrate a fantastic moment for Thomas Müller and that was important as well for us today see what questions come from the Press Mr company you just talked about Thomas Miller a legend here at this club what have you been able to take from him about Bayern and the fans wrote on their Banner to him that there was no end in sight is that the feeling that you have that he could go another season the nicest thing I saw on the banner was something that didn't 100% match up to reality is the fact that they said there were 710 games he gave 100% for B but we've also got to add in the training sessions to that number as well what he shows in trading the way he helps other players for our success he's so important there are a few more games that he can still play and we are definitely pleased that he's got a few more lock in his locker and the fact that he can keep going like this it's so important for us where is the next question coming from from fryberg for fryberg julan how did you see the moment that led to the opening goal the hand ball that led to the Penalty did you feel it was justified no I didn't think it was justified I think the referee did everything right in the first moment where he didn't blow the whistle unfortunately someone else had another idea and I think it's hard to talk about situations like that when it comes to what the rules say but I don't think a penalty should have been whistled four and I don't think the same at the second as well I don't want to get a penalty that way either but I think the feelings of the referee probably impacted his decision on the second penalty as well thanks for joining us in international break next join us again on Match day three
