South Carolina Gamecock football Deep Dive and Schedule preview

what's up Gamecock fans and fans of college football that want to really know about South Carolina so rooster man here going to do a deep dive into my South Carolina Gamecocks and all you rest of you Gamecock fans we're going to talk about our Gamecocks today uh look at the schedule uh preview it maybe look at some predictions see what the game Cox can do in 2024 now not a good year last year right 57 a lot of upset uh gcck fans around uh some talk of Shane Beamer being on the hot seat so let we'll see how it goes right but before I get too far into that I really want to talk about uh some changes that were made on the staff uh will it help improve uh I know there was some guys that we very much endeared to the Gamecock program on the staff uh let me get a little Skittles in baby Marshon Lynch little C4 energy before we get started need to bring some energy to this video so let's talk about some staff changes gone Pete limbo special teams uh coordinator Pete limbo fantastic at South Carolina got AE coaching opportunity left the program uh and we wish Pete limbo the best in the future right um I'll be pulling for him myself um but he's gone now so we have to move on right uh jod Wright was tight end's coach at South Carolina also left to go to Murray State as a head coach uh I think Justin stepp is now with him also the wide receiver coach who has gone who was a Gamecock right uh stpp was supposed to stay on the St originally was moving from wide receivers to tight end South Carolina hires James [ __ ] who drives through drinks a cup of coffee heads on to Georgia where does Shane Beamer go from there new wide receiver coach we'll talk about him in just a minute and montario Hardesty now I don't think the Gamecock fans has had any loss uh or any love loss from montario Hardesty uh just didn't see a lot of talent coming in whether that be transfer portal whether that be recruiting even though DJ brazwell looks fantastic what a little bit we got to see him last year um but we ended up having to take the car and joner and try to turn him into a running back not good right so the fan base was kind of after montario Hardesty now going and off the staff so let's talk about the new staff guys that were brought in we bring in a Gamecock man never moved lives right down the road maybe an hour from Williams Bry stadium in Camden South Carolina sea Elliott right was a fan favorite of South Carolina through all his years at South Carolina I think he was there for six years 2010 2016 Through The sper Years through sper leaving he was the interim head coach when Steve sper walked away gck fans all thought Sean Elliott should get a chance to head coaching job um but the rest of that season was just a struggle right the lost the Citadel all this stuff I think it just kind of hurt his chances at doing it South Carolina ends up hiring will mus champ that goes well for about two years and then the Gamecocks fall to a four- win season Co comes along two win season during covid will mus champ is fired in out the door before the end of the season in 20 sea Elliott is a very intense individual a great offensive line coach is where he was in his prior St with South Carolina he is brought in to be tight ends coach Run game coordinator now I've seen some videos and and some other channels have talked about running backs they were at Georgia State Marcus Carol was one of them he's gone um out to I think it's Old Miss now Sean Elliot was the head coach at Georgia State helped develop these Running Backs from Georgia state that have now moved into power for programs and high level power for programs so Beamer bring sha Elli in fan base is very hyped about sha ell we know he's going to be involved with the offensive line which was a struggle for South Carolina last year a lot of people were after Lonnie Teasley uh the offensive line coach not thinking he's very good headit coach doesn't have a lot of experience um and Greg Atkins who moved off the field into an analyst role uh people were kind of down on him too insert sea Elliott insert help with the offensive line insert a man with experience that's gon to get on everybody he's not just going to be a run game coordinator he's just not going to be involved with the tight ends he's not just going to be involved with the offensive line if he sees any player on the field offense defense slacking not doing what they're supposed to do Sean Elliot will be the first guy standing on their head I promise you you don't even got to worry about it he will be the first man there um talk a little bit about running back coach we talked about montario Hardesty getting basically sent away from the program uh marwel Blackwell now a lot of people that's done deep dots probably hasn't talked about Coach Blackwell very much but I'm I'm going talk about him a little bit right we're not going to get too carried away and a career uh breakdown of these coaches but Marquel Blackwell last year was at Texas A&M we know Texas A&M had some struggles under Jimbo fiser the whole staff has let go um prior to that Marquel Blackwell in 2022 was at Old Miss does anybody remember 2022 Old Miss running game and running back Quin Shan Judkins over 1,500 yards rushing in uh 2022 Marquel Blackwell was there to help develop that kid um I may have his rushian yards mixed up from LA but last year also we saw the development of quinan jins now off to Ohio State um but coach Blackwell helped in that development of that kid right so now he moves into South Carolina takes over the r as running back's coach the year that he was at oh miss I know they kind of had the two-headed monster out there as far as the running game um om Miss finished third in the nation in rushing yards per game right around 255 56 yards a game what can Marquel Blackwell do with this running back room we'll get into the running backs in just a moment before we get into the schedule Mike Fury wide receiver coach comes in um takes the place of Justin steep James Coy now Mike Fury taking over was that uh Limestone University uh two times nominated for uh Walter pton Man of the Year when he was in the NL if I could tell you anything about anything about Mike Fury that tells me everything I need to know right there right I did one time he's the leading receiver in the NFL and uh was own to Detroit Lions with Megatron and all the things you can say about that nominated in onetime finalist for the manor year Walter pton Man of the Year award in the NFL tells you what type of person you have gotten on that football team right um I just think no matter what I think he's a great coach I think he's going to be a great influence on young guys he's got a lot of transfers a lot of young guys in that wide receiver core he let's see how his development Works before the season gets started um next head coach coming in we talked about Pete limbo the Lost of him off special teams Joe D camillis longtime NFL two-time Super Bowl winning uh coach he was with the Rams 2021 my man Ernest Jones Gamecock right uh also with the Broncos back in 2015 as as we all Carolina Panthers remember we lost we lost the Super Bowl in 2015 to those same Denver Broncos my feelings are still hurt over that one um and connection to the game card program everyone says Jody Camis how is he connected to the Gamecock program a lot of people may not know this but Dan Reeses the coach of the Broncos longtime coach of the Denver Broncos very successful coach in the NFL he uh Joe D Camis is his son-in-law so gcck ties to the history of our program comes in like I said the the guys I don't know he was with Texas last year ends up at South Carolina this year but he does have a track record in the NFL of being on a very successful teams coaching staffs and being a special teams coach um one guy that hasn't been brought up and before this when the Alabama fans and all the other fans of the SEC here's this name they're gonna laugh joke ha gu sucked as a head coach for Alabama Mike Schuler comes in as an offensive analyst before we get too carried away with that laughing about him as the head coach he actually does have a winning record as a head coach he's over 500 so let's not beat him up too bad it wasn't successful in Alabama and probably 98% of the coaches in America would not be successful at Alabama just due to the expectations of that program and the talent that they get you can't underachieve at Alabama um like I say son of Don schula NFL teams he's worked with he's uh he's been on Tampa he's worked with a lot of them really Giants Dolphins uh last year he was at Buffalo working with Josh Allen uh on that coaching staff with h Joe Brady who a lot of Gamecock fans wanted here at one time uh for offensive coordinator even some of the fans was jumping on getting him as a head coach but Joe Brady still at Buffalo offensive coordinator and Mike schula work with him Josh Allen big quarterback fairly mobile can throw the ball good guy to come in and work with uh Lenor sers another quarterback that we are all very familiar with and Lenor sellers gets compared to this guy a lot Mike schula was the quarterbacks coach at the Carolina Panthers in 20150 with Cam Newton the year the Panthers made the Super Bowl lost to those Denver Broncos we were just talking about so Mike Schuler on staff uh um is he a great analyst we hope so was he a bad head coach I was an Alabama fan so I didn't mind him losing games when he was there right so that's all I'm gonna say about that Mike schula own the uh coaching staff being an analyst for the South Carolina Gamecocks all right let's get on talk a little bit about the team not going to get too crazy just want to hit on each room some of the transfers some the new guys some expectations some guys to watch out for uh this year uh starting with quarterback Lenor sers right don't know that much about if anyone watches my SEC quarterback video Lenor sers did not play that much last year uh he was four for four he did have two touchdowns had a couple rushes in some games um the all the talent in the world is there there was no qbr rating didn't play enough to really get that I expect our offense to be adjusted to fit his playing style and defenses are going to now have to really really focus on the Run game at South Carolina or the quarterback Rush game last year year before Spencer Rattler Beamer's first year we had the whole rotating uh quarterback room now don't get me wrong love Spencer Rattler G to be a great I told people Spencer Rattler is going to be a great Pro maybe the first rookie quarterback to start this year in the NFL um not saying he's gonna start the first game but I think sometime during the season he'll get a start I think he's built for it but Lenor celis brings a different Dynamic he brings the Cam Newton Run game in the the rpos uh just you know people are going if you spy him you may be in trouble if our wide receiver room which we'll get into shortly can create some separation um but we'll get into it we will get into it here shortly behind him they bring in Robbie asford now everybody's down on Robbie Ashford says he can't throw the ball he did not look good in the spring game I will agree with everybody with that Robbie Ashford did not look good in spring game but one thing I can say when I went back and I've watched spring game a few times he was called down uh on some quarterback sacks that in a game is probably not going to be a sack Robbie ashford's a big kid very mobile can run question is his throwing ability he'll be there to bring in Davis bevel uh Oklahoma transferred in originally from the state of South Carolina more of a thrower in my opinion but let's not forget Luke doy if this offense is set up if something happens to Lenor sers and this offense is kind of set up for a dual threat run type quarterback that can throw the ball don't forget we have Luke doie on this football team not saying that's the perfect scenario but I'm just saying this could happen be careful you could see Luke Dodie play um you could see some trick plays with L doie uh at quarterback running back of course Raheem rocket Sanders the big name that comes in through the transfer portal uh beat up last year only had had a little over I think around 260 yards couple touchdowns Arkansas wasn't very good on the offensive line I think KJ Jefferson ended up being injured so Arkansas struggled last year right uh biggest name they guy they had probably was on the defense side of the ball and he's even gone out of there um Sam pitman's on the hot seat Arkansas brings in Bobby patrino KJ Lee goes the UCF rocket who originally was a wide receiver coming out of high school was recruited very heavily by South Carolina chose to go to Arkansas and um now it's back right transfers at South Carolina we have him in we're hoping to get him to return to 22 2022 form right didn't play in the spring game rehabbing through the injuries every report that I've heard of him uh right now is that uh he looks great he's cut the weight back down uh back around to the 220 225 Mark don't forget he's a taller running back Rocket's a little over six foot like I said he was he was recruited to be a wide receiver with that being said he turned out to be a fantastic I think he will catch the ball a lot out of the back field this year he'll bring a lot of Versatility that we kind of didn't have in the running back room along with him comes Oscar AdAway older guy uh over 700 yards almost 800 yards at North Texas last year another season veteran uh to go with some young guys right we got to look back we we do have Juju McDow he's still on JuJu's our Gadget back smaller kid um they bring in a Jawan how who was freshman everything at South Carolina state last year uh caught the ball well ran the ball well he just did everything well bigger kind of a bigger kid too I think he's in that 61 uh range probably around two uh 15 to I think is where he's at but he was everybody's say well he so but he performed well so now on the on this in this running back room which I think has some depth built our young guy uh DJ Braswell looked great at the end of the season last year uh played where he could to uh but but he looked really good looked like he had some development um and I think having these veterans they understand blocking schemes a little better than what we had last year uh I know between Mario Anderson that came in and once he got in games he did pretty well right eight you look at him I think he had six s00 yards 700 plus but some of his bigger games were against weaker competition and he'd run for like 200 yards so I kind of beefed his stats up a little bit but had struggles blocking D DK jiner had some great blocks but he had struggles in the beginning blocking and we saw it in the North Carolina game when we gave up nine sacks the running backs could not block either they were missing block schemes wasn't just the offensive line look bad nobody was blocking the wide receiver struggle were blocking so hopefully so you know everyone loved Justin Stout but everyone knows over the past couple years our wide receivers and and that the tight ends and stuff have struggled to block now we have some smaller guys oh well they're not going to be able to block uh these smaller guys have a little experience too maybe they can block run Block it's still a question those are the questions right the big questions for sth Carolina's offensive line wide receivers everybody knows that's the big questions no one's here to debate that inside the wide receiver room now back in the building not doing the Olympic trials is Nick Harbor uh went back and watched some highlight and some uh video on Nick Harbor last night Nick Harbor never got the opportunity to break free last year and if anybody a lot of people's going to argue Nick haror is a very fast guy yes he's a big guy yes it takes takes him a little while to get his speed up but you know what he had last year never gave him a chance and if you don't believe me you can go back and look at highlights Nick Harper was catching a lot either 5050 balls or back shoulder the ball was behind him maybe it's him not creating separation some people may say maybe you got to lead him and let him catch the football and then he creates his separation once he breaks his speed or gets to show his speed big kid going to be hard for defensive backs to bring him down once he gets the ball in his hand if you're not back shoulder passing him you got to give a big kid a legit opportunity to get his wheels and get to burning um Luke do still in that Luke's everywhere right he's the gadget man now wide receiver some trick plays who who knows what they'll have Luke Dodie do on this football team I just look for him to be all over the place Tyson Russell's a guy returning struggle catching the ball good route Runner U just saw him get free last year and just dropped some passes right um he's got to get better uh bringing in bavius Jacobs from Florida State didn't get much playing time at Florida State last year but hey fourstar kid out of the state of Florida has some speed setting behind Johnny Wilson and Keon Coman stuff last year at Florida State State didn't get a lot of playing time besides the transfer out is at South Carolina I think some people are expecting him to really step up the other tall receiver uh that we have is uh Delvon Campbell um he had 595 yards uh last year uh Gage laran uh Huggin Bru uh Jared Brown some other transfers that came in the smaller guys that everyone's talking about I look for a lot of these guys uh to be on the field maybe in the slot um but they did have some I think we vanilla our offense during the Spring Game didn't show a lot so you didn't get to see a lot of the wide receivers kind of calmed it down freshman to watch and a kid I'm very excited about mael Bennett right mael Bennett forced our kid out of the state of South Carolina everyone on the team was talking about him how much he's improved how much work he's put in to learn to play book to learn the routes so we are very excited for Mazel vett tight end room Joshua Simon Brady hunt got some young guys in there uh Connor Cox uh Brady hunt coming in from Ball State big kid kind of reminds me that Nate Atkins kind of type big blocking uh type tight end professional to me looks like the perect the the true uh NFL style tight end um should bring in some great blocking uh Joshua Simon we saw flashes of Joshua Simon last year I honestly think he ended up being the best tight end on the team over Trey noox Trey Knox had some struggles last year uh holding on to the football but he also had some injuries right a big guy like Trey Knox I think he he took a some hits to his knees and it kind of limited his performance and he'd probably be the first one to tell you he did not have the season at South Carolina last year that he thought he would have or wanted to have uh o line two veterans returned Bashan Lee jakai Moore jakai Moore got hurt early last year didn't really get to play Vera Lee started out at Center ended up having to move over with two tackle due to all the injuries on offensive line young guys got in got some experience got their butts whooped Trayvon ball tree balotti Marquee Anderson would have also been in my opinion one of those young guys that would have been in there gaining some valuable experience last year had an injury will be back this year how does it work out Cas Henry another guy that would have just got hurt in the first game of the season uh they say he's a mean nasty offensive lineman you need those right um uh Simpkins transfers in from North Carolina I think it's A&M or& or one of those um heard the same thing about torus Ellis he's a player he's mean maybe that F gets into get that aggressive mentality uh listen to the coaches I think like we talked about Shawn Elliott will have an impact because he will be on these guys there's no pats on the back when it comes to Sea Elliott if you miss a block he will be breaking it off in you um Josiah Thompson comes in kid to watch five-star cam Pringle high four star both kids I know the Gamecocks would love to red shirt have to stay healthy to have these two offensive lineman get red shirt can we stay healthy can any I don't know if Joe Josiah Thompson is a kid you're going to have the ability to keep off the field watching him in the spring game he is athletic and he deserves every Star that he got um not a big I mean he's a big kid but he's not a slow player man just look he looks like a athletic offensive lineman he looks NFL caliber now whether he works out to be that I can't tell you that but I'm just telling you looking through my eyes which aren't very good uh when it comes to reading but I can see very well he deserved every stared he got and he is a good football player defense returning a lot on the defensive line right uh lot of old people our defensive line is old there is some young guys in there the Way South Carolina does it defensive line Edge rushers are in the linebacker room some people do it different they coach the edge with interior offensive lineman some people do edge with linebackers South Carolina puts their Edge rushers in the linebacker room coached by Sterling Lucas who has turned out to be a fabulous recruiter for a guy out of the NFL that had never till he got to South Carolina so let's look inside um TJ Sanders uh looked really good had flashes last year where he looked really good big kid uh TKA him anyway everyone is sleeping on Tonka Tonka is a pretty good player uh very athletic you can move Tonka outside if you need him to play EDS or you can move him inside now if you are going to run A3 manf front you have got to get the big butts right here's the big butts Nick Barrett DeAndre jwes uh I can't the kid I didn't get the kid's name I forgot to write this down I'm sorry uh there was another transfer kid coming in uh another bigger defensive lineman uh linebacker room I wanted to talk about the linebackers there is Debo Williams returning over a 100 tackles last year mokaba went down to injury last year uh Demetrius Knight comes in transfer Bengali Kamar comes in bam Martin Scott is a guy not to forget about Brian Thomas Jr I think all these guys are kind of going to be heard from right uh but I Brian Thomas Jr more I think he's going to play more in I don't think you're going to see him much but we'll see Jon Willis who came transferred in a couple years ago from Old Miss young kid will be I think he's developing well heard some good things coming out of camp on him uh Edge rushers Kyle canar comes in jatius gear comes back to transfer from Syracuse uh that got hurt last year didn't get to play in every game so hopefully he uh comes back this year and really can help this team dezu our young kid they got uh some playing time last year from the DMV area I expect him to be back and then like we talked about Brian Thomas Jr also in that players to watch Dylan Stewart fivestar kid Alabama wanted him every major program wanted Dylan Stewart I don't know there's another one that I am not sure you're going to be able to keep him up you when we get through this fall Camp it would not Shock me if Dylan Stewart is starting the first game of the year at Old Dominion uh couple other guys in that edge linebacker room I wanted to throw in was the young guys the Jr Johnson W Gregory out of the state of Georgia both really good uh football players young freshman uh we'll see how much playing time they get uh South Carolina wants to build some Dept so I'm sure they're trying to keep some red shirts on some of these kids those guys have been probably used quite a bit on special teams like I said in South Carolina special team struggle last year you know what happens right you start getting inj and your better players that played special teams end up not getting to play special teams so it will affect it Debo Williams and all that stuff when Mo Caba got hurt trying to it is hard to have Debo Williams play special teams when he is so important to that defense um cornerbacks of course uh Jaylon Kilgore Donald Fortune they're all returning judge CER you got your your old guys back here in the safety room to Nicki Mai who we just forget two years ago was a freshman All-American DQ Smith also back there in that safety room uh freshman All-American Jaylon Kilgore freshman allamerican um forari Swain great things coming out about him uh right now no don't phot a ball to the Swain side of the field that's what I've been told and what I've heard uh like I said you got judge CER from up there in uh around the Rock Hill South Carolina long linky kids 7 foot wingspan for uh defensive back great tool to have David Spalding also returns uh David kind of took some criticisms last year but let's hope he can really respond and like I said we went through kind of the safeties Gerald Kilgore moves comes in uh but you got Nick M DQ Smith Kelvin Hunter uh you got three freshman don't forget you have three freshman All-American DB in uh on that defense so all right there's no reason that we should have safeties guarding the other team's best wide receiver so I wanted to get into the schedule wins losses you know whatever not really I think ODU I'm not really even gonna talk about this game on August 31st there is no no matter what I say in this video if we lose this game uh nothing I say even mattered anymore because the fan base is going to lose their mind uh this team's going to be [ __ ] the rest of the year you cannot start off on a bad note and let an Old Dominion come into your house at William Bry stadium and win I'm talking that one up to a w so that right now South Carolina one and0 having to travel with a Young quarterback go to Kentucky Kroger field week two uh 330 game ABC South Carolina you're are now on national TV boys you're on ABC Kentucky you're now on national TV your own ABC what do we have going in in this game What's going to probably be talked about the most the quarterback position Lenor sellers not a lot of experience on the road Brock Vander been sitting on the bench at Georgia uh with pine needles in his ass for three years question marks a quarterback both teams really need this win with the schedule that they have this year epic battle right who has the advantage Kentucky has a good defense South Carolina has a good defense who doesn't make the mistakes who doesn't turn the football over who wins special team I think this game is really going to be determined by turnovers uh a play on special teams because if I look at Kentucky and I look at South Carolina there's not that much difference in these two football teams head-to-head when you line them up Mark stups uh could be on the hot seat honestly man Mark STS does does anyone know that Mark Stoops only has two seasons in his coaching career at Kentucky that he had a above 500 record against SEC teams and it was his two 10 win Seasons other than that Mark stes has had a even or losing record against the SEC in his career now he makes bowl games hey a lot of these teams make bowl games off of lesser competition so I ain't bitching at you mark STS you gotta do what you got to do to build your program uh Brad white comes in defensive coordinator uh Bush hamon of Boise State so Boise state is a fastpaced move the ball throw the ball type offense coming in for Mark tupes as Mark tups let this guy be an offense coordinator or is he still going to do the Maul you like a grizzly bear type uh offense run run run run smash you in the face uh you got some good wide receivers Dan key uh bar and brown they did have some struggles last year catching the ball but they are good wide receivers they have some Talent so not really going to beat up on Kentucky I think this is a good game I really won't South Carolina to win this football game why because it's only going to get tougher I think South Carolina can win this football game and I think we're going to have to ride the running back grou moments and I think we're going to have to depend on these defensive backs I just talked about to stop those wide receivers of Kentucky so I'm going to give this to South Carolina it's going to be a tough football game I just if I had to go through this schedule and I think South Carolina's going to be better than the experts are saying better than a lot of people are talking you gotta win this game in Kentucky I have the faith that we have enough Talent on our football team to go to Kentucky and win we did it two years ago everybody's going to say well will Liv didn't play blah blah blah it's a tough game it's still going to be tough game regardless when you when South Carolina Kentucky plays it's a tough game there's typically not a blowout in there not recently anyway so week three South Carolina comes home LSU fired the whole defensive coaching staff terrible one of the worst teams in the SEC uh one spot above Vanderbilt uh in defense last year in the SEC one spot below South Carolina there's no way l you should have a bad defense it it just the talent is there did they address some Talent they didn't really addressed anything on that defensive line what they did address their coaching staff right they go out and get Blake Baker bring in uh also the offens the defensive line coach from Missouri can they turn that Pro defense around can they improve it we saw it with Baker at Missouri that defense was pretty good can he do it at LSU Garrett nus my quarterback not a lot of experience got to play when Jaden danels got hurt last year how does he handle going on the road at South Carolina early game I really wish this would have been a night game maybe a favor South Carolina for it to be an early game um and we can jump on them U maybe they're still asleep uh I don't know this is going to be a hardfought game too I just think the coaching experience of Brian Kelly the play calling that LSU has I just think LSU is going to come in here and beat South Carolina in this game I think this is a loss for South Carolina although I would love to beat LSU South Carolina's fairly jinxed against that team we have not had much luck the last few times we have played them so I got South Carolina two and one going into akan they're going to beat akan I I just not even really GNA break down that game it's simply not even worth it South Carolina will be three and one going in that open Daye feeling pretty good right now comes the the real stretch that everyone thinks South Carolina gets pbl October 5th it's a flex game so we don't know really when this game's going to be played South Carolina's three and one and oh miss is undefeated this game may be a night game at Williams price come on SEC we need this to be a night game no one remembers Sandstorm was born on Old Miss yes sir a top 10 Old Miss team rode into Williams Bryce stadium and got beat and it was the birth of Sandstorm now every other team in the SEC hates Old Miss just because they're to cause a sandstorm so if y'all want to blame anybody for sandstorm if you want to hate Sandstorm in South Carolina go back and blame uh om Miss for losing that football game uh another reason I want to be oh miss last time we played oh miss in oh miss L Kens out there throwing the damn clipboard and running down the down field we gave up 59 points can't do that again boys even though that was a good football team not goingon to lie Old Miss ended up what 11 and two that year but they only one game above 500 as you see right here one game above 500 against South Carolina we need to reverse this I just don't think we're reversing it this year with the talent that oh miss has brought in um not really scared of running back room right everybody says oh well they brought in more running backs yeah they brought in some talent but I don't care you cannot replace a quinan jins go wherever you want to go around this country you cannot replace that kit now you may do it as a team with a plethora of running backs uh Rashad Amos is there former South Carolina game cck Rashad Amos they had all that Talent supposedly everybody that's coming in the running back room and you still had to go get Rashad Amos late so wide receiver strength oh miss oh miss kind of secured some offensive lineman uh secur defensive lineman still tend to oh miss not want to be the most defensive team how defensive tough is O Miss will determine how far Old Miss goes Jackson Dart don't get him hurt uh he we have seen him struggle in some games on the road though that put some pressure on him maybe South Carolina can pull it but right now if I had to determine this is our second loss of the season three and two going to Tuscaloosa Alabama I think this is a year that South Carolina has had their best chance Alabama since 20110 I think this is a year where alab B everybody's hyping him playoff Contender jayen milro got sacked 44 times last year I don't get me wrong he threw for 27 almost 2800 yards or whatever it was ran for another 500 plus yards he is a quarterback you're going to have to contend with South Carolina typically struggles against running quarterbacks we do not do well containing we do not do well getting our head around we turn our back and these guys have killed us in the past can this defense be different can this linebacker core who I think is one of the best linebacker cores that South Carolina's had in a very long time as a group contain milroe and keep him you can't spy him we learned that against Georgia last year but we also saw milro have to throw a miracle to beat a bad Auburn team so Alabama is beatable tuscalo is going to be tough to go there um especially with it be in an early game 11: a for South Carolina moving out there I think this is truly a setup to give this game to Alabama to start with they don't want to see Alabama struggle but I think G coocks put up a fight here but I do think Alabama is too much so that puts my gcx at three and three going into Oklahoma now this is everyone says cocktober is going to be very bad for South Carolina and South South Carolina can't win that game yes they can Oklahoma is not that good say what you want hype all you want they were 10 and two big 12 last year this ain't the Big 12 no more boys this is the SEC Oklahoma will have to face some good football teams they will be coming off the Red River shootout prior to South Carolina going to Norman Oklahoma we have a head coach that coached in Norman Oklahoma he knows the territory he knows the hotels he knows how to get around the city he was there for three years he knows how to get the team in and out of Norman Oklahoma get them comfortable get them there um right now they're saying this is a early game I don't know what the hell early means is it a noon game is it going to be a 330 game I don't know don't really have a history against Oklahoma South Carolina's never played them but I would like to be over 500 against them in our lifetime starting this year um like I said there's some games to watch for om Miss prior to they also have to play Alabama um I think om miss it might be om Miss in Texas but they got a week off in there um before Texas not really much of a game after I don't I forgot who it was Old Miss was playing but I I don't know I I I just I think we're going to be okay in that game I really do um yeah it is Old Miss they lost a lot on their offensive line at Oklahoma people say oh they brought in some Talent got some guys from somewhere else you have to mes that offensive line together how well that offensive line comes together for Oklahoma we'll see and how deep is Oklahoma very important thing in SEC is you're too deep right we hear it all La a nil La a nil uh but it is a true thing now with nil it's getting worse right that second guy that was probably really good uh wants to be on the field so he's gone somewhere else now so I justes I do think the depth is an issue and will be an issue for everybody except for teams that are doing it a traditional style when this $20 million payout comes out uh I don't think it's going to affect Georgia or these teams that still build the main part of their team traditionally I think it's going to hurt a lot of these teams that are trying to build through the transfer portal but like I said I I think they'll be okay they got in some wide receivers Deon Burks transfer in h South Carolina gets a date off I'm giving South Carolina win at Oklahoma we are four and three at this point Texas A&M in Columbia South Carolina last time we played Texas A&M Gamecock ran over them uh Legette started a game off with a 100 yard kick return the fan base got turned up it will be a night game again for Texas A&M what will Texas A&M be this year Conor Wegman's coming back off an injury uh had a had a great season going until the injury right not a bad quarterback now gets a different offensive system Mike ELO's there with a new coing staff how much talent has left on Texas A&M I don't know everybody says oh they're still full of talent they're still full of talent I don't even know if they got as many five stars left on that team anymore as South Carolina does to be honest with you I haven't looked to see who's left so many guys that come and gone Evan Stewart's gone I mean there's so much talent uh defensively they lost uh Walter Nolan people like that South Carolina could get to five and three right they could 5 and three Texas A&M uh and I'm going to give him the win I'm going to go five and three with a win over Texas A&M going into Vanderbuilt South Carolina's going to feel good here with Vandy now can't lie about that South Carolina should not lose to Vandy Vandy lost everybody and the parents and everybody transferred out of last year I mean I even seen the band kids transferring out of Vil every quarterback everybody left they did bring in some people uh uh Tim Beck offensive coordinator Clark Le takes over his defense um but they bring in Diego Pavia from New Mexico State who did beat hurn yeah props to that um but I just don't know I I don't know uh that Vanderbilt has much of a chance of winning the SEC game this year so at this point Point South Carolina is 6 and three and you're going to tell me I lost my mind but is what it is afternoon game against Missouri South Carolina probably a 330 game don't know where to be missou is kicking our ass and they have been kicking our ass for a while Le series 9 to5 everybody says we need this to be a payback game to Missouri in Columbia Carolina to set up is perfect for South Carolina to go out and Missi until we do it I ain't saying we're gonna do it and the best way that g that rooster Manon can help South Carolina win this Missouri game is to pick South Carolina to lose there is a lot of Talent on that Missouri team questionable for me how's the defense going to respond to the coaches that have left and some players that are no longer longer on the defensive side of football you lose 1600 yards in Cody Sher do you bring in running backs can you replace that type of production they TR had some guys transfer in should be okay you're probably not going to get that type of production on what you have on that team but you can get enough that you can still run the football right Missouri it just runs the same play against South Carolina for some reason we can't adjust to fix it I think Missouri wins this football game just a lot of experience even though we want our revenge on um juice juice Wells oh no not juice whs [ __ ] Eli drinkwitz excuse me juice Wells the revenge is the Old Miss game um because drinko witz is just just pisses us off right the South Carolina fans he just pisses us off um Brady cook of course is back Luther Burton the whis mookie Cooper the wide receiv blah blah blah blah we can go through all the uh guys that they have but I think we kind of kind of got be for care for this because prior to Missouri coming there and they have to play Alabama Oklahoma they have Mississippi State after so I don't know if you consider that a trap game for missou but can South Carolina set a web and catch them in Columbia South Carolina I'm not picking that right now um I just can't do it uh wford next that's a win for the Gamecocks in Columbia 4:00 looks like it's on SEC network plus all right walford's a win not even going to talk about it then the game that really will determine to me the significance of South Carolina season in Clemson everyone said Clemson don't lose in CLS South Carolina beat Clemson then Clemson two years ago let's not forget that two years ago South Carolina beat Clemson in Clemson it can be done what is the Clemson program going to look like Kade kumnick has to stay healthy don't think Clemson's very good at the quarterback position period with him they're worth without him uh Phil MAA struggled holding on to the ball boys take the lubrication off the Rock and maybe your your players can hang on to the football because Clemson struggled with turnovers last year they had a turnover in every football game take the lubrication off the rock before you rub it um defensively everybody knows Clemson's goingon to be really good right that's the that's the top always the defense defense defense defense they beat a struggling bad South Carolina team without scoring a touchdown last year a beat up South Carolina football team Clemson beat us without scoring a offensive touchdown bad on South Carolina's part not very good on Clemson's either if it wasn't for a turnover and a score it's not a very good football game by either team Clemson struggled last year eight and four here's the thing I am not sure South Carolina can pull off back-to-back wins in Clemson not back-to-back wins because we lost that South Carolina last year can you pull off back-to-back wins in Death Valley in Clemson I'd have to go back through South Carolina history books to know if we've ever done that maybe sometime in that time period when South Carolina's really good that was done I don't know um maybe during I'd have to check the spur years probably or way in the 80s or something maybe it happened that's going to be a tough tough deal right there I want to say my game talks can pull this game off I just don't know if I can say it right now I have really gotta see how this season goes before I can say we're going to be Clemson and Clemson for a second time in three years I I I gotta call Clemson to win in this one uh as of right now no matter how bad that pains me to say but by this time maybe some experience maybe we're not as beat up as we were last year maybe there's a better team going in there with a lot more confidence and we'll see how the rest of the season goes so right now we look at the schedule old oh rooster started off Old Dominion as a win Kentucky as a win that's that's two wins to start off with a loss to LSU two and one Akon's a win three and one like I said three and one at that point loss against Old Mills uh 3 and two Alabama puts us back at 500 at 3 and three three a win at Oklahoma puts us at 4 and three didn't we get our weekend off four and three Texas A&M can we beat them yes 5 and three Vanderbilt six and three Missouri's a loss six and four Walford win uh which one did I miss did I get Missouri in there seems like I missed one on this call right here let's o Dominion's a win ky's a win that's two right LSU's a loss two and one akan 3 and one Old Miss three and two lost Alabama lost Oklahoma wi four and three Texas C&M win South Carolina's 5 and three 6 and3 against Vanderbilt lost to Missouri six and four Walford 7 and4 lost to Clemson South Carolina seven and5 I know everyone's predic them five and a half wins another five six and six there's a lot of predictions out there somewhere in that I think South Carolina can pull off one more victory in there that someone's not thinking we'll get and most people are poting towards Oklahoma as being a loss that would drop South Carolina back to six and six I think South Carolina can go out there and beat Oklahoma I think Oklahoma's got a a lot of adjustment that's going to go on ahead of us playing them and being having to be physical week in and week out in their schedule Brent venables can't steal signs anymore because everyone's on headsets like he used to do when he was at Clemson stealing everyone signs as the defense coordinator can't do that anymore um Oklahoma's reloading some Talent not so on Jackson Arnold we saw him struggling the bowl game last year I'm not scared of Oklahoma's running game at all um so I think if there's a team in there that uh of the the big projected teams because everyone's got Oklahoma seven and a half uh Vegas thinks but everyone's saying nine win Oklahoma all this stuff I don't not sure Oklahoma's getting the nine wins in the SEC um I just I could be we go out there and get totally ass stomped by Oklahoma I just think out of the teams that I just told you we're going to lose to Oklahoma I just told you we can beat Oklahoma you know why because Oklahoma out of that group of people is not that good they're not that they're not too deep good as the rest of those teams I just talked to you about um and they're they're just not used to it the rest of those teams are used to that SEC grind baby so we got to see
