there she is so all last year was about chasing the championship so now you come in and you've got that Championship now you got the big Target on your back because you're defending Champion what what's the mindset of this team and and you coming into this season overall um I think we really just want to create our own name for ourselves you know I think it's easy to let last year's season and the success we had in the championship and the 51 record kind of sit on our shoulders and sit heavy and that can be kind of an added stressor that we don't need so we've talked a lot about like it's a new team it's a new look and we can still have the same results it may look a little different but we're still competing every day and getting better and growing and things like that so um I think it's just celebrating last year but moved forward and it's 24 and it's our new new journey is that easier for you than the girls the players to make that transition I think so I think they you know especially the newest of vars they feel that pressured to want to step into uh what what graduated last year but um you know I think it started like that but now these last two weeks you know they've really kind of just gotten settled in and created their own little little click that they have and and we're kind of rolling with it so we we're we're happy the one thing about this tournament schedule and I think we talked about last year too you have so many matches in such a short time you don't really get a chance to practice right yeah yeah and that's what we've had to remind them like we haven't had a ton of practice time so these things that maybe frustrating to us as a whole or as individual players like we don't have time to fix it right now it's new games and we will have that time it's a long season and we just got to stay patient and and stay positive and I think they've done a really good job of that so as tell one of dads you know you look out in the court as you were playing vandag gri and it's almost unfair how much athleticism you all have on your team seriously very very blessed yes it's amazing it really is we have some incredible athletes and they I mean not just athletic but great at volleyball great leaders and great kids so we are happy and one of the things that you talked about last year and emphasized was the community of Grand Oaks and and you know how this was the celebration of the entire Community has that continued this year it has I mean it's a hype is still there people are still excited about coming to watch us we haven't we've only had one home game but you know we start District this next week and I think people are really excited to come out and and we play start with the woodlands so um people are people are buzzing so we're proud of that and we're we're happy that we were able to help create that so right appr that
