welcome to the EBC news teenager found guilty of murdering 15-year-old Holly Newton after Holly Newton then 15 years old was fatally stabbed in Hexum north umberland in January 2023 a 17-year-old boy was found guilty of her murder only hours before he repeatedly stabbed her in an Alleyway Holly had complained that the youngster was stalking her the child who was still Anonymous and was 16 years old at the time admitted manslaughter but opposed the murder accusation he was also found guilty of injuring a second person who attempted to help Holly during the assault the child first testified at Newcastle Crown Court's trial that he had been trying to end his own life and that his mind had been blank at the time of the occurrence he then admitted to hitting Holly out of Rage but he later changed his story to say he never meant to hurt her the youngster allegedly followed Holly from school on January 27th 2023 and at 5:00 p.m. BST stabbed her in an alley near to a pizza store this information was presented to the court after the youngster had unexpectedly turned up at their Hall whistle house the previous evening Holly's mother had made an appointment with the police for that evening to discuss her worries
