hello my name is Kylie from the DV Collective Now I'm a Survivor of domestic violence and when I reached out for help I found it really difficult to identify where to get the help and then also those resources were underfunded uh and underresourced so there were 12 months waiting lists now you know a woman escaping domestic violence really can't wait 12 months to get that support the support that that woman needs involves you know a shelter somewhere safe to spend the night casew workers to provide that counseling and mentoring and also those wraparound services like your nappies your uh essential items uh a safe phone because a lot of the time a perpetrator will track your phone um and track where you're going so there's some amazing organizations out there and I'm using my 25 years Business Development experience to help build the capacity for those organizations so we've got over a 100 organizations across Australia who are our members so there are shelters uh uh domestic violence drop-in centers the nappy Collective s ker moms DV safe phones uh all the way to that empowering piece so we also have organizations that support women entering back into the workforce after trauma uh or or upskilling through University programs so that empowerment pathway piece as well so all these amazing organizations are our members and we meet with each of them to identify what social social impact they have in their region and then how can we help them build capacity and then I go and reach out to corporates across Australia to see how they can support these members and that's done through uh fundraising through pro bono products and services and through volunteering so over the past 12 months I've probably met with about a hundred of these organizations uh and I'm really really excited that those initial conversations have been really really positive thank you to the steadfast group because of your support last year we were able to connect over a hundred of these organizations We Now understand their needs and now we're rolling out big fundraisers across Australia to support these existing organizations get the support that they need to build capacity so that they can support more women and children we really appreciate your support and we hope we can partner with you in the future thank you
