What the hell is going on with Linkin Park

it's rock news weekly with a breaking Rock news update Lincoln Park's mysterious countdown ended bizarrely yesterday but there's something a lot of people may have missed the band actually launched a clock on their website and social media channels over the weekend that counted down from 100 hours and ended exactly at 2:15 p.m. eastern time there's been an immense amount of speculation since then including the rumor that sun 41's Derek Wilby was going to be revealed as the new vocalist we know that's not true but as the countdown ended it seeming glitched for a couple of seconds and then started counting back up fans expressed a great deal of confusion frustration many accepting the idea that they'd simply been trolled however that doesn't seem to be the case Lincoln Park shared a recording of the timer expiring on social media with the caption it's only a matter of time [Music] if you Clos the countdown once it started counting back up then you definitely didn't see it 9 minutes and 5 Seconds the numbers glitched again for a couple seconds fortunately some fans were able to capture the moment see it for [Music] yourself we can only speculate what the clip means but there's apparently a significance behind the numbers that 9 and 5 that could be a time a date September 5th which is next Thursday a number of days or anything we can't say for sure just yet but it seems that we'll be learning more at some point soon Mike shenoda seems to be enjoying the guessing game though as some noticed the musician chatting in the YouTube chat more details on this story on our full episode September 2nd tune in later this week for all the updates on this developing story for more on this and all the latest Rock news and our full episodes tune in every week full audio episodes posted to Spotify Apple podcast and More Everything always up at rocknew weekly.com all social media at rocknew weekly subscribe to our twitch and YouTube channels at Rock newws weekly to watch anytime
