Caelen Carson Steps In for Injured Daron Bland: Quick Hits About The Rookie.

want to post a quick video about Don Bland's most likely replacement in the starting lineup I would say it's pretty much a definite this point unless there is a trade of some sort um big loss no matter how you put it obviously having an all pro type of talent like Dron Bland with those types of ball skills uh he will be missed for the U they're saying maybe he only misses four or five games we'll see six to 8 weeks maybe it's only four or five games I know with the bye sitting where it is I'm not sure if they'll play the long game there and have them stay out a little longer than we probably would all want just to be safe um but Kaylin Carson out of Wake Forest uh I was able to get some film of his games I'm not pretending to be an expert on that kind of stuff but I am really starting to get into that and trying to uh get better with watching film and kind of what to look for um the biggest takeaways I had were that he's a willing tackler definitely an aggressive player so he's not afraid to stick his nose in there and make a tackle uh he did have a game against Vanderbilt last year where he had double dig tackles he had 10 so he is definitely willing to do that um also overall just the mentality he seems to play with very very aggressive um I wouldn't say necessarily overly handsy to the point where you're concerned with penalties but he is that type of player he's going to be good at playing you know manto man close to his man he I don't think you necessarily want him sitting back uh he's not a complacent type of player and I think he would do better when he's bumping and when he's uh really able to get his hands on a guy hopefully not too much to the point of penalties um and able to use that to his Advantage um but yeah so I think in some ways not just because they're both fifth round picks but I think in some ways he reminds me of Dr plannned a little bit um just in the style neither one was a 44 or a 43 type of burner but they can both run more than fast enough to get the job done and um both are willing tacklers and both are physical so I'm hoping if we can even get anywhere near what Bland was able to early in his career um then I guess we would take that and hopefully kin Carson can start off the season pretty well and before we know a plan is back and this defense is rolling all right if you have any uh questions comments anything let me know and uh I'll be back again in the future
