when you look at bill bich and his greatness as a coach coaching you all of those years do you think the Cowboys missed out on him not being a coach for them do you think everybody that could have had an opportunity missed out what's your thought about teams passing up on hiring him I think without a doubt he's the greatest coach to ever coach in the history of the NFL and we were both ready to come to Dallas if they would have hired bill bellich I was coming with them but they wouldn't fire Mike McCarthy and you know I went to Jerry Jones and I think that's the only thing you ask for as a player once I realized they weren't going to push Mike McCarthy out the door and coach was going to take a year off that was when I knew it was time to get into broadcasting because people don't realize this but bellich che's defense was propping my career up for the better part of 15 years and then even in Tampa I mean I was basically washed at that point and I got extremely lucky like I always do and people are dumb and they're going to remember me as the goat and not bellich
