been living in London we just um arrived in Mars in France to catch up with a girlfriend who I'd already cancelled one trip on for the dad to Hope match and we got the news so we spoke to Kel and um he made it clear that he wanted us to be here with him and so then the Mad Mad dashback started so I feel like I've been running since uh Thursday night I think it was how was your emotion and I guess the level of Pride that you have being up there in the stands and watching your boy do what of course your your great husband did as well oh look I'm not often speechless but I really was and um very emotional after seeing the first goal and just really wishing Paul could have been here to see it as well but I can say that now that he's had the game I didn't want him to feel upset beforehand about that but yeah it's a really emotional day but I'm so proud of your mental composure C to be able to go out there and do that in your first game it's a lot of pressure on young shoulders but I think you're just like Dad your mental toughness and just ability to you know just take things on your shoulders and do your best Cala great work incredible performance by Hawthorne great performance by you just tell us I guess from the emotion we've just heard from your mom we saw you run to your mates at the end of the game and give them a massive hug as well this this must mean so much to you yeah absolutely like I said before like just everyone supporting me though I couldn't tell you how many of them were there but yeah just got to be grateful and yeah I want them to keep showing up for me and I know that always will so yeah I definitely wouldn't have gotten this far without him and there yeah love him to bits and Cal it's Sarah hosking here now I watched two videos during the week one was Jack Gunston and obviously he got to tell you that you were debuting and and one first question is asking how's that relationship Blossom with him and and the influence that he's had on you in this first little period yeah uh like unfortunately we've got a got a special bond between like both losing our Fs in 3 days but I could definitely wouldn't be here without him and without his mentoring and just all the support and work he's put into me so to learn off someone like Jack Gunston is just unreal and such a privilege well I feel like it's just going to be the start of your career but the other part of that was I watched the second video and that was of Sam Mitchell decid just letting us know what kind of person you are and obviously that there potentially a little bit of a slower development but he did mention something about a fried chicken burger being ordered in front of him first up now I reckon after tonight's performance surely he can shout you that fried chicken burger tonight yeah definitely I'll hold him to that but straight to the Burger Shop straight to a fried chicken burger well you deserve it thank you Kel Chris Johnson here mate now just talk us through and and I know that you say you're speechless but you kicked your first and then and then your second what was what was going through cuz you you had a little hiccup in before that you you missed but then you got the second opportunity what was going through your mind at that stage oh like I said before without Gunners that wasn't going through he's helped me so much with my kicking set shots which were a bit of a bit of a let down last year but after the first one he came up to me and just told me to settle my head and told me what to do so yeah just even little things like that just helping me so much Timmy Su here mate um we've got Nick Watson out here running some laps out on the park we watched him singing the song with you boys and you you've been a Hawthorn kid through and through no doubt but in the song there he seemed like he didn't know the words so I think maybe during the week you might have to pull him aside and just give him a little tutorial no well I'm sure we all heard when he said he was a Collingwood man after the draft but he'll get there soon I'm sure there'll be plenty more chance for him to sing the song and back himself up Kela we won't hold
