so what's the deal with the new kid on the Block T2 it's a new charging standard an evolution from the original CH charge so should we all get excited about it that's what we're going to figure out now the chichu standard has only been out for maybe less than a year and there's only a couple companies doing T2 accessories I bought all I can but I'm pretty sure there's going to be tons coming soon but the question is how does ch2 compare against Apple's mag safe the only company that has a product that's similar to this is the anchor this thing let's see if this anchor one's better than this apple one now Apple's ma safe has been around since the iPhone 12 and from my perspective it is one of the best accessory features on the iPhone it's kind of like that reliable X you can always count on him or her now I do have to point out one thing you've got Max save Chargers you got ma safe compatible Chargers and now you've got chat2 chargers now this Minaj of chargers you got mag safe Chargers which are made by Apple you've got made for mag safe which are third party manufacturers making stuff approved by Apple you've got mag safe compatible Chargers which are basically CH Chargers with magnets around it to mimic mag safe and finally you have G2 which is basically a 15w wireless charger that has magnets around it it's basically a third party official version of Magi with that out of the way let's talk about the build quality between these two products now with Anchor's T2 charger it is substantially heavier at 70 G compared to the 37 G of the mag safe charger and this thing has a lot more girth to it which in this case is not a good thing this anchor product feels very solid and I was kind of fooled in thinking this was metal it's not feels very very nice though I will have to admit now the one thing I do like about the Apple Maxi charger that a lot of these sort third party manufacturers do not copy is a rubber Center it just helps keeps your airpods on the pad a little better the anchor one it still attaches magnetically but it'll slide around a little bit more from a build quality and design perspective I still like the Apple Mac safe version over this anchor one and when it comes to keeping the charger on your device the anchor one's a little better the amount of force required to pull the charger off an iPhone is almost the same between the two Chargers but when we're talking about pull Force it's much stronger on the anchor product when it comes to charging distances which is just kind of how far I can keep the uh charger from the iPad before it stops charging for the Apple charger it stopped working around 3.8 mm whereas in the Qi charger it was about 6.9 MIM so significantly more but like any other long-term relationship the quality of the connection is close to zero I think I was measuring like half a watt of charging when it was about 7 mm away from the iPhone how about Max distance for Max charging well for both these Chargers when it came to the iPhone it would stop around 3 mm so after 3 mm the max safe charger would just stop working whereas in this thing would just kind of slowly die in terms of charge speeds now you might be thinking this anchor product wins this category but it runs so putty hot with my charge test with my iPhone this thing was running at about 56° C this thing was running about 40° C I don't know if you realize but cooking eggs is around 65° C and this is only 9° off the heat from this product is going to be very noticeable if you tend to use your iPhone like this it's getting hot in here before we continue first time watching my videos I do encourage you to click subscribe I'm a reviewer not an influencer I do do not care which product you get just as long as you use my links and you use my links because my videos were helpful now when things are getting hot well you know things should be better right what ises an extra 15° C get you 10% more power on average when I was charging my iPhone this anchor gave me about 700 milliamp hours in 30 minutes whereas the Apple charger did about 650 in 30 minutes but how does that compare with all the other chargers I've tested these things range between 350 to 500 Milah hours and 30 minutes so this T2 Puck charger by anchor is definitely fast but it is so much hotter and in my mind that is a problem because some of the electricity being consumed by this product is being lost as heat so it's not as efficient in my mind I have no way of testing this that's just my guess I've got a bunch of other uh anchor ch2 accessories to work through so I'm going to figure out if it's just my product that I got runs hot or if they all run hot all right let's talk about price which is the biggest kicker for me I paid $20 for this this thing was $40 so you get a charger that is technically faster for half the price rice that is that is a steal of a deal from my perspective and between these two products and this comparison I would have to give it to the Anchor one because it just had to make why spend more first time watching my videos uh click subscribe I'm a reviewer not influencer I do not care uh what products you get as long as you use my links because my video was useful thanks for watching
