[Music] it was a packed house at the Independence Visitor Center as Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro kicked off tourism season with Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation at the first ever Philly opener spring celebration for making folks feel welcome here in Philly and showing off all we have to offer Memorial Day Weekend kicks off a very very busy season for us in terms of visitors coming to the city travel and tourism are vital to Philadelphia's economy showcasing our City's unique culture and vibrant diverse communities and to share these stories CBS Philadelphia is partnering with the Philadelphia Visitor Center and visit Philly on a new series spreading the love a series highlighting extraordinary individuals making a remarkable impact in our city this is an honest City and it is made up of good people how could I not go into to all of the communities and find the people that are spreading the love that's exactly what we need right now our mayor Charelle Parker says we have a hope deficit and I think what CBS CBS and the visitor center and visit Philly are trying to do is to try to fill fill that deficit with just tremendous pride in love in our city one extraordinary person known for spreading the love in Philly just so happens to be from Detroit but has called Philadelphia home for the last 14 years hey what's up Philly the Eagles defensive end brought the city a Super Bowl now Brandon Graham is receiving the special honor of the MVP award most valuable Philadelphia I'm happy to be embraced by the city had that blue collar Spirit about you that's going to go fight and never give up and so uh Philly fit everything that I'm all about and in the spirit of tourism season we ask the MVP for his top musty spot in Philly his answer well they going to come right here independent V visiting center and they going to make sure they get the history of the city uh go to the Rocky Steps you know learn about the history learn about where they come from then you know you experience the people in Old City go bir baby Aisa Schuler CBS News Philadelphia
