Pittsburgh Cincinnati uh Bearcats two-point home favorites 59 and a half the total one of my favorite totals last week pretty sure I mentioned it on the show as well last week was Kent State Pittsburgh uh Kent State a much improved offensive team because they had nobody back on offense last year this year they bring back a lot on offense uh this season uh and new starting quarterback Devin Carman but everyone back on the old line for the most part a lot of their skill position Talent back and that offense actually looked good against Pit's defense at times but I thought the pit offense you know how would they uh transition to this new uptempo offense under Cade Bell the son of Kerwin Bell who's the head coach of Western Carolina and former CFL quarterback and boy they look good uh Pittsburgh on offense with Eli Holstein uh the new uh quarterback for a pit this year uh they look good they were able to run the football successfully the passing game looked a little more dynamic they had explosive plays we don't think of pit offensively as a team boat known for a boatload of explosives but boy they had a bunch of them in the game against Kent State 336 through the air for Holstein uh in that game uh they got 145 rushing yards from Desmond Reed it was outstanding uh it was a great balanced attack 2011 on the ground 369 through the air playing at a fast pace uh so I think definitely when you look at this pit offense obviously it's only one game and it is Kent State you know bottom uh rung Mac team but a Mac team that I think is going to be better this year than last year still a very impressive performance to put up 55 points it'll be interesting to see how they Faire here against definitely a tougher opponent Cincinnati even though I've got my concerns about Cincinnati 3820 against Talen I took Talen plus the points I'm not really all that high on Cincinnati this year I don't love what saterfield saterfield didn't impress me at Louisville and to me it was a downgrade going from fickle to saterfield as head coach when fickle left Cincinnati for Wisconsin so to me I look at this as I I don't love sder Field's Co coaching at the moment I'm sorby was good but let's see what Brendan sorby the Indiana transfer does here in this game they did run the football what's concerning to me tals runs for almost 200 yards tsen almost 200 yards rushing against Cincinnati's defense 244 through the air so not what you want to see um I'll be honest I think the wrong team's favored here the only thing that's wor concerning to me is it's pit on the road and pit on the road has had some tough times with Nardi but boy I'm telling you what when I look at these two teams and I look at where these two programs are at I think Pittsburgh's the better of these teams right now so plus two it's Pittsburgh for me but I like the over even more uh I think that I'm going to go right back to the well over this total bit playing fast I think Cincinnati looked a little bit better on offense than they did on defense last week against Talsen and that doesn't bold well the way that defense played against t doesn't bold Well for now what looks like a very explosive uptempo balanced attack that Pittsburgh has at their disposal this season uh CAC what do you think here pit ciny oh this is uh just an an ugly game and two teams you thought the last 10 years defense not here and it's showing like you're talking about totals 60 79 points in that pit game and the total was 54 yeah and pit easily can State we know a bad are defensely 55 but you know can say how bad they are at least they moved it you know if it'sit defense held them in check but they scored 24 points so you know they were able to move the ball a little bit even though it was a blowout and same thing with tals like you hit on they threw for 244 ran for almost 200 194 uh it's just that they got gash Cincinnati was was very good uh on offense they ran for 275 I think sorby uh should be in this matchup and when you get to it I get why you like this over I mean they've gone over dating back to last year how bad these teams were starting to play to the over P wasn't playing Tempo last year like this year either no no and they still just how bad their defense was and they were able to score and ciny uh has started too five of the last seven have gone over uh and I think this one could I mean the line's pretty I think sharp here at 60 but I think we we get here in this game tough on the sides I just don't know enough of these two teams just seeing pit a little bit Cy in this week too and it's going to be tough because every year we go through this but this is how each week goes by like all these teams we go off last year the transfers everything week one you know and the overreaction so games like this sometimes are uh you know if not really locked in on a team that I love I think cier could win at home but I don't even want to lay the two with them you know I'm sure you just go money line but I don't even want that so Cincinnati played a um midling FCS team Pittsburgh played a lower tier M uh FBS team last week in Kent State so which team played the tougher opponent I'll say this pit offensively looked impressive there's not really much that impressed me about Cincy against T offense they looked all right at times decent that def they ran thousand yeah that defense against Talsen was not that good for Cincinnati and that's what concerns me like I said I think p win this game I like pit I like the over even more though all right
