DB Jordan Clark on Notre Dame Transition, Marcus Freeman & Drew Pyne's Advice | #ndfootball

Biggest transition from Arizona State to Notre Dame academics um school here school at Arizona state is very different um but it's a blessing to be here it's a blessing to have the opportunity to earn a graduation uh graduates degree uh from Notre Dame um just being able to interact with my classmates that aren't on my team you know get to get to know my professors has been really cool so kind of just adjus into that not everything being online but everything else has been pretty streamlined and Graduate program then what gr program are you in and what's that schedule kind of like uh I'm nonprofit uh nonprofit admin right now I'm not degree seeking so it'll start all in the summer and then this spring what kind of areas of your game are you Areas of his game he wants to develop this spring looking to kind of improve or develop yeah um just my knowledge of the game honestly it's a big reason why I came here coach Golden being an NFL guy um something that I feel like can really take my game to the next level Co being as brilliant as he is um so really just going through spring taking as much as I can from those guys taking things from guys like Xavier Watson and people who have excelled on this level um and just progressing as much as I can so um really everywhere I want to improve nothing specific specific though kind mention def a lot of tal you What he’s taken away from spending time with the team and defense taken away spending some time with them so far oh it's been amazing I just to see how everybody works um there's there's never a time that you'll come here you won't go or you'll go on the goog and you won't see somebody doing something to make themselves better um and for me that's that's amazing that's what you want to see and it pushes me to do that myself um so never complacent nobody on the team you know the guys from the top nersi winners to guys that just got here with me so just the the strain to get better I think would be what I'm taking from those guys for sure Why Notre Dame attracts sons of former NFL players has been known to attract a lot of uh sons of NFL players why do you think that is being one um I think a lot of our parents grew up wanting to go to Notre Dame I know I can say that for myself my dad talks about all the time how he he wanted to be Tony Rice so um I think really just the opportunity what this school stands for what it means to college football and college sports period it's it's the mecca um so to have the opportunity to come here as a blessing um it's something that I'm so grateful for and something that our parents definitely understand the the gravity of in the process of Marcus Freeman’s impact of his decision transferring what kind of song you on that coach Freeman just kind of a leader BS uh coach Freeman man just sitting down and talking to him I I can kind of tell now being in college for some years when you're being BS um and everything he said just held true um my father and him already had a pretty good relationship you know they spent some time together um so my dad kind of had already told me that he was a good man and getting to talk to him you know talking ball and talking about family you know how much he cares about his me how much he cares about us uh that's that's really all I needed to hear and he's trying to put together a juggernaut a real National Championship caliber program here it already is and I just wanted to be a part of that did you pick Former teammate Drew Pyne sharing advice on Notre Dame - and reuniting with him in South Bend the brand of Drew Pine at all just to get a feel for another Dame as you were going through the process yeah absolutely Drew is is one of my really good friends you know having him back here now with me has been really cool he's like my South bent tour guy um yeah he he loves it here and I think that whenever you speak to people about him here they think highly of him as well um and really all he told me is that if you're a guy of High character you'll fit right in you know it's not necessarily how good of a player you are or anything like that it's all about how you approach what you do are you a professional and do you want to win um and if you want to do those things then this community community will accept you with open arms and uh I feel that
