Stephen Vogt Reacts To Matthew Boyd, Emmanuel Clase, Guardians Win Over Cubs

Oh What a Night for Matthew Boyd um so many things just the time he put into his rehab working on his own to get back had had to feel so good for him just to take the mound and then let alone give an outing like that first time back um efficient strikes you know just really really good and just so happy for him and his family important was it especially how he was able to first first PCH STS yeah I mean it was a great bounce back for us um coming off a night where very uncharacteristic night for us and so for him to set the tone attacking the zone and at one point I think I looked up there 36 strikes six balls um you know just right after right after them getting weak contact and getting some punch outs so much needed from him and for him but again I just so happy to see him back on the mound but was that greeting like in The Dugout after after he got there pretty good A just so happy for him and just you know I said hey be proud of yourself and he worked for it John K he was asked this is the hot just what does that just say about where is at he believes in himself he has from the time I met him uh this winter till through spring training through the first time he walked into Baltimore and he's been ready for this and it just uh it's unbelievable the last two nights what he's doing and um playing good defense too he means a lot to us happy are you what does it say as a manager you know you still have yeah he wants the ball like I've said all year he wants to throw every day um and for him to go out and get it efficiently done the way he did tonight and vo wasn't down it's it's unbelievable how hard this guy works to keep himself able to pitch every day and the fact that he loves to pitch um just magnifies it like you two were laughing as he's going to the handshake lineup That what are you guys saying after he it's four straight days I said no pitch minana and he looked at me and so I'm sure we're gonna have to talk tomorrow but yeah just he he's just incredible I'm so thankful for him but just uh he wants to pitch and wants to help this team win every night just talk about the process yeah I mean h with the hustle to get to second on the ground ball H with an unbelievable base running on the Fly ball to left Center I mean he you don't know if that Ball's going to get down or off the wall kept himself he that was textbook base running um goes back to tag read the throw to Second went to Third and then Roo with a good bunt just you know as fry says guards ball and try find a way to score we wanted to add we wanted to even it up and answer and roio with the great bunt got it done did you let no to catch that ball since it was in F territory or let it drive absolutely catch the ball it's early in the game take the out um try to run for an out early in the game like that anytime
