The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) (Pierce Brosnan) (Rene Russo) - 25th Anniversary

welcome back everybody Matt the mat here hope you know well so this month it was actually earlier in the month of August was the 20 if was the 25th anniversary of the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair this our Pier Bren Renee Russo Dennis ly Direct myob McAn it was known for like die hard and predator and I got met this is one of my favorite if not my favorite Pierce BR movies I know that's odd for some people like you know he played James M right yeah yeah okay um but yeah and the funny part about this movie is growing up in the '90s well I mean this came out in '99 so I guess 2000 if you want to be more specific um every time this movie showed up on TBF or TNT you oh you know it's fine it's a fine movie little did I know and I mean little did I know that this actually rated R and they cut out most of the R rated material and it when they put it on TV so I remember in high school no we did not watch this in high school now it is very bad um I was in a summer summer film camp and one of the uh the instructors for the week I me they had a special instructor for one day from USC University of Southern California the biggest film film school in the United States um he was doing like a thing on the M intros to movies uh like the opening of The Matrix the opening the most opening scenes in a movie um like he shows the opening of The Matrix the opening a pirates in the Caribbean up until uh Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan leave to go to the Commodore noron ceremony um and they she also showed the opening of The Thomas Crown Affair um and I until I finally got this movie on DVD and watched it fully I gained a lot more appreciation for the movie number one like I just said it to me is f rin's best film performance this is him being James Bond better than him me James Bond in a James Bond movie think about that for a second he's Charming in this movie he's funny he he can also be not necessar doing action scenes but just when he the ending the whole third act when he goes back into the art museum he puts on border hat and he like you know you know spin around like here I am you dumb asses you dumb FBI agent here I am hey hey um and then he just goes about his business and completely like you know you know messing with the cops and all the other people in the Border had in the trench coats um and then you got the SE scenes between him and Renee r know that are sey sexy and you know why couldn't you be like this in the damn James Bond movies you would have been the best James Bond actor that's why I never heard about J oh Mr B the womanizer the guy who always gets the B girl but they never show any sex scenes in Jay's B movies not that you need it but I mean he think Bruce Wayne but even more so and they literally have a having criteria of the Bond girl that's almost bigger than who going to be James Bond is always who's going to be the B girl but they never hook up in the movies and have any sexy time so it's like but in this movie we see a lot of scenes with Russo and Pierce rosin having a lot of sex and it's a lot of sex with no clothes on and now was the other when I first watched this movie I was like oh wow um Renee Russo has most of this movie topl list kind of like an haway in loving other drugs okay we might like this movie a little bit better now and it's this Caper cat and mouse game between detective and you know Thomas Crown I like how they got his thice to be say done away and like I said it's fun at time like in this cat and mouse game I like Dennis ly as the main FBI agent trying to find you know get this guy and then arrest him um his back back and forth with Renee Russo is really good I love how they introduce Renee Russo in this movie twice wonder she just comes in and just show her leg and like a little bit of lerie and then later she comes in all like tired and almost hung over you get this like smoothie this green smoothie you see her pour with like little like Drop Like giant drops and hitting the going into the cup and it's like a great intro to the character just like the opening with Thomas Crown I mean that whole opening with the uh getting the painting too was so great um like it's it's a fun it's only an hour and 47 minutes I love the music my brother you're talking about the the score from Bill KY who was also known at that I've been doing a lot of the rocky the Rocky movie scores for those movies then you got the soundtrack by like the the main song of the movie CER Man U both at the beginning and then at end the third act um I love that song I love going back and listening to it so yeah I said it's like I said before we don't get that many movies anymore of that steamie set scenes in movies we don't we you see them here and there but for the most part and it's nice to see a movie like this that is an adult film radar and it actually has those sex them and stey them and yeah thank you for treating adults like adults that's what they would do I don't get it when you watch a movie and people are making out and having sex and one of them still has their clothes on espe when it's a woman like yeah that would never happen in real life never um you don't go home with the guy to make out and still keep your clothes on I mean what would be the point we treated adults making out like realistically to a degree of course we can't all look like P pres sorry only some of us so yeah this is the 25th anniversary of The Thomas Crown Affair I'm not surprised they haven't remade this movie by now already since this is a remake of the original um than could remake this now I mean I can see like a Margo Robbie playing the Renee Russo role or something you know on that in in that mall park or you know you know I was going to say Henry C he look a lot like with the dark hair and yeah um but like Alexander scard or something I don't know I don't know you know well I'm just surprised they haven't remade this movie right now Hollywood is all about reboots and remakes and this is already 25 years old what are you doing Hollywood what are you doing but yeah are you a fan of this movie I I really enjoy this film um one of my favorite P R movies uh let me know in the
