it is week two of the orange football season and they're ready to take on Georgia Tech a top 25 opponent inside the Dome this week and Kyle mcord is back for another two-minute drill first game in the books after a long off seon how'd it feel to get out there inside the dome for the first game yeah it was awesome I think starting with the the quadw walk uh kind of set the tone for the environment uh great turnout and then it was electric from from the start uh kickoff could feel the energy in the air and then I feel like the the crowd did a really good job of kind of sustaining that throughout the game yeah you played a lot of really cool places but they talk about the Dome is louder than most did it live up to the hype for you yeah it's it's a different type of noise uh it just traps everything in and uh I was thankful when when the fans were making noise I was on the sideline uh for for most of it um so I know it's tough as a an opposing quarterback trying to get everybody lined up get everybody on the same page when you know it's that loud so it was really cool to see yeah they were certainly making noise at the end of the first half you guys executed a perfect two-minute TR I thought that was awesome to see because Fran has talked so much how he wanted to nail that and it seems like that's something you guys have been working on in practice a ton right yeah I mean literally every single day in Fall Camp uh we did some type of two-minute drill whether it's end of half scenario like the one that came up in the game or end of uh end of the game need to need to go down and score to win the game um so just to to see that uh come to life in the first game of the year and really the first opportunity in the first half uh for it to show uh was really neat yeah hard work paying off there that ball you threw to treor at the end of uh halftime there the two-minute drill was that the best pass of the game for you or is there another play that stands out uh I would probably say that was my best pass I think the best play was probably the one to OG in the fourth quarter that got called back the scramble third down I thought that was a good play uh keeping the play alive and and making a play down the field but the one to treb was probably the best pass of the game yeah you talk about scrambling a little bit I think some fans were surprised to see you're rolling out you're doing some bootlegs you're throwing on the run I know you were jabbing the EA Sports guys a little bit get that speed rating up but I know you had an injury too last year ankle injury at Ohio State you feel like you have more of that in your game this year yeah 100% uh feeling healthy uh I think is the biggest thing and then last year too going back and studying the film realizing there would be areas um and times where I could take off and and extend my legs and um good things would come from it uh so just trying to can continue to implement that piece of my game yeah we were also talking to Justin Baron about your guys golf games which has been a topic now backtack weeks on the two-minute drill he wanted to get on the record that that was not representative of your guys normal games out there yeah I feel like there's a lot more pressure uh on the golf course with cameras on you than when you're in the football field cuz I have absolutely no control where the ball goes on the golf course yeah he said they were doing you dirty though it was it was all the low lights not not anything of your good shots out there yeah I think they had uh me duffing a chip they had me missing a putt uh shanking a drive uh so yeah it definitely wasn't uh wasn't a good representation of who I am on the golf course yeah there was one nasty horseshoe lip out in there that we we don't want to talk about that let's finish on just a thought on Georgia Tech really good team it's exciting that it's a top 25 team and a conference opponent this early in the year and I know you're expecting and hoping for a big crowd on Saturday yeah 100% I feel like everything shaped out pretty nicely uh two teams undefeated looking to to start the year off making a big statement in the conference and um I I feel like the crowd last week was great but I know there's another level that uh they can tap into so I'm looking forward to to seeing the turnout on Saturday I know a lot of orange fans are as well Kyle we appreciate the time and thanks for stopping by for another two-minute drill yes sir thank you that's Kyle mcord catch him on the field Saturday noon kick against the yellow jackets
