[Music] Arena sabalenka wants US Open bosses to increase the use of video technology Arena sabalenka believes video reviews should be introduced on every court at the US Open to help umpires make the right decisions it comes after Jack Draper was involved in a controversial moment during his match against Felix auger Alim at the Cincinnati open Draper appeared to shank a drop shot that looped in the air landing on the net cord before trickling over for Match Point augur Alim claimed the ball had made contact with the ground after coming off the frame of Draper's racket but the Umpire was unmoved video replays appeared to show the ball hitting the ground before bouncing up and hitting Draper's racket for a second time augur Alim was left unable to challenge the call due to the lack of video review technology in the match a video system is in place on some Courts at the US Open but sabalenka believes it should be introduced on every Court to avoid the drap or controversy repeating itself I think that's really important that we have this system here because I saw those tough calls she said I think that's really unfair for some of the players you know like not to be able to review the referee calls and also for the referees you kind of can understand like tennis and improved a lot and it's faster it's not that easy to be on the chair be a chair umpire so I think that's going to be helpful for everybody and healthy for everyone to have these reviews I think that's really a cool thing to have it was recently confirmed that the use of video reviews would be expanded for the US Open after debuting on five courts last year the technology will now be available on eight courts and is expected to cover around 75% of singles matches during the tournament Coco gal advocated for the increased use of video review Systems after she lost a service game during the Olympics on a shot that she believed was hindered by an incorrect call she was delighted to hear about the US open's expansion when quizzed on the topic at the Cincinnati open I think a lot of players wanted to happen within reason obviously she said you can't you know question every single thing but I was watching the Olympics I saw volleyball had it a lot of sports have it I feel like tennis with being such a global Sport with such a big fan base I think the fans and players would appreciate it hopefully we can continue that on to more tournaments [Music] [Applause] [Music] for fore [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] me foreign foreign [Music] speee e e
