one of the Giants first four opponents will start the season off without one of their top weapons League sources have told ESPN's Adam schfer that the Cleveland Browns are leaving star running back Nick chub on the physically unable to perform list aka the pup and that means he's going to be enactive for the first four games of the regular season so chub has been rehabbing a season ending left knee injury that he sustained in week two of last season and that required him to get two surgeries the first procedure to repair his medial capsule meniscus and MCL in late September and then second surgery went down in November repairing damage to his ACL the Browns do expect him to return to the lineup at some point this season but they've not given a a timeline for his return in Late July he was seen running full speed Sprints and doing some light agility work and a post-practice workout so that was encouraging and we all know what this man means to the Browns back field and their overall success when he's on the field he's a four-time pro bowler and had rushed for more than 1,000 yards and four straight Seasons before the injury and that included a career-high 1 1525 yards in 2022 now this is his second significant left knee injury he tore his MCL PCL and LCL at the University of Georgia back in 2015 Jerome Ford who led the Browns with 8133 rushing yards last season is expected to be the rb1 again while chub is sideline and Cleveland opens their season against the Cowboys on September 8th and they host the Giants on September the 22nd [Music]
