Corner let's talk chares corner so uh just love can I say I love Jim Harbaugh who that you do there he has he has quips and and statements that just make you laugh especially the last one uh when uh Justin got out of his Boot and he said I heard Angel singing and then I watched the clip and he said oh I couldn't go to sleep and when I I woke up about three or four o'clock in the morning and I looked up and I said it's not today it's today as as much PTSD as Chargers fan me included have gone through with coaches in the last 10 years 20 12 years we are happy to Jim Harbaugh is in La where we're elated fin some stability that's sure that's for sure but you know what we want to talk about you know in in in in positive and great fashion the mor Ro is high at Chargers Camp ever since number 10 took off that boot and put Lac those pads back up and put those shoes on it's been good it's been it's been it's been fun times in in La all reports show that he's looking good laser focus doubt in putting up throws in practice that even Quinton Johnson can catch wow yeah I I know I I know I said I did I did you did that you did that I did I did you did that bad my bad I said gonna be positive said be positive be positive I'm not apologize for it though but yesing people in practice making throws you know they're out of this world you know you know while I'm while I'm still hedging my bet because this type of injury can linger folks are saying that does he does not seem affected At All by it knock on what so he look good to practice you know no nothing really hampering him at this point so I'm sure fans hope and want to believe that he he that report is 100% accurate he's not affected by it yeah but no if nothing else that allowed for the team to get back on track so no more spotting fr the offense no more East stick having to drive the train slowing down the progress of the defense all Vin in neutral it was a good week of practice all reports there was very very high morale in practice this week when T took the snat on the center y great moves great moves great moves so that lends to the idea you know moving forward about you know him practicing like I said the morale is up practice is great um so then we fow to Dallas at the practice this week and um ironically enough had an un promptu team bonding event in Dallas in the Dallas Hotel so the team actually a few members of the team including Justin Herby got stuck in the elevator hotel that they were staying in for a few hours yeah so they you know when they finally climbed out of the Elevator Shaft Dred and sweat you know a lot of people shirts off you know hot you know end up being a bonded moment for the team which is ironic enough you know that that that particular moment allowed the team to get even closer with Tim being back in the fold and them bonding in that elevator it just made it to the point where they really were looking good going into the game against Dallas in the preseason last preseason game although clearly Tim was gonna play it it had everybody spirits on high yes yes did they get to the game in Dallas you know and it's desite the offense you know still having e stick to deal with he played the whole entire game uh I him yeah yeah he should be playing baseball with a name like e stick heed should be playing baseball not not football but that's all conversation yeah but despite that the Dolphins actually did pretty well for themselves um you know they they they put up some points but it was on the back of the defense because the defense made a name for themselves and in that game on Saturday they tallied six turnovers um you know one you know in in route to seven point victory over the Cowboys um Tony Jefferson the wildy veteran was the Talk of the Town uh Tron Morris Brad was another one who was made a name for himself in that game and those two gentlemen you know leaving that game you would it left a tough decision for them to make to keep them off their 53 but ironically enough traymon Morris Branch didn't make it because he was gonna be the fifth Edge rusher that's the only thing was working against him but when I say this man had a hell of a preseason and he deserved the roster spot he deserved a roster spot but I got to see Junior Coulson uh early on in the game he finally played that was that was good for me I I got to see that I got to see Tony Jefferson play the whole game uh Dean Leonard played another St solid game like said they turned over Tre Lance five times he threw five picks and fumble once so he had a rough day um but it started off the game with a big run by darrus Davis on reverse that he took to the house about 90 yards so that was great finally scored a set of touchdowns early on we had scored a whole a touchdown in the entirety of the uh preseason up until now so that was good first series we get we scor touchdown so again that kind of lends to the idea how the morale was better when tenis practicing so you know that okay now we can get the business we we G start you know getting focused and really try to get his office moving right before that looked like a fish out of water we really did it was bad it was a rough watch it was a rough watch but outside of that man it was great like I said I think that having your franchise quarterback healthy running show that that that that changes the whole dynamic of everything so the game was good we won by seven you know first victory of the Season you know morale was high the G the guys that played well for the most part made roster so it was a good it was a good move was a good look so I I definitely looking forward to what the season's going to bring uh you we broke camp and now we back um in La practicing at our new facility so it's some it's some good times to be had so that was mainly my takeaway from the game I like what I saw um and hopefully we can uh you answer the Bell come week one against the Raiders um with two two and a half week solid practice with Justus been on the center so I think that's where you know where we're at and um if we can get on track and get this offense moving I think that we we going to have a good uh chance to beat the Raiders in in a in a Sofi of week one but um coming down to the 53 man roster cutdowns I think the only thing that really shocked me uh is tror TR BR Morris brat not making it because he was gonna be the rusher because you got Joey Bosa kilam ma t tul p and Bud Dei so keeping the fifth Edge Rush was kind of like uh and you do that but four running backs ironically which is which is interesting but two have injury history so that's I guess that might be a reason why you keep four so course kept J K they kept Gus they kept come they draft and they kept Jared Patterson shout out to him for making the charges roster 53 man R he's on the roster so there's no practice squad for him this year so I'm happy for him and he looked damn good at final preseason game I'm saying I'm saying but he looks oh he's always look good in preseason but somebody just didn't want to invest I just didn't understand it so now he's finally getting somebody that's really going to invest in him and I like it and hope he get some burn this uh this season so um I think he I think he reminds Jim of Blake km that's a good one this smaller version yeah yeah that's a good one yeah that's a good one yep yep yep so um yeah so I think that uh you know I that's really thing only really shocked me uh they got rid of Oh Donna Parham the 68 tight end they got rid of um that's crazy I know I know that was that was a little bit of a head scratcher but problem is he can't block he's a pass catcher and he's he's he's a smaller you know he's about 239 a 6 foot eight so he's a he's a straight up pass Catching Red Zone nightmare that's all he is he's not a blocker at all he's not an inline blocker at all he he don't block you know you know rman and carball are big on blocking so that's reason why he probably didn't make the roster um I'm sure somebody going to take a chance on him you know between his injury history and his his ability to be not be a blocker was red flags for Jim and Greg so that's probably why they got rid of him um they cut Isaiah Spiller who was a hold over running back did did Brandon Ste resem drafter which I'm not mad at so yeah I mean in the receiver Court they gra they they they kept Brandon rice uh but it got rid of Cornelius Johnson who was a a Jim hargh guy from Michigan so I was kind of surprised by that um because they draft him in the seventh round along with rice but um but overall I mean if I had to really go top to bottom I still don't like our backup quarterback position they got rid of Lis Perez they got rid of um U Max Dugen they kept e stick which I still don't understand and Lis perz come from was he from UFL yes he he was the MVP of the UFL yeah so they got rid of him uh they but they keep e stick which I don't understand so unless they're gonna make a move for a backup quarterback at some point in in the near future I don't understand it because I don't understand what type of extortion plan e stick has on the charers organization the reason why he still a job but it's it's it's getting sickening at this point you know because again if we have to deal with him if Justin can't play at any point it's going to be a rough time it's going to be a rough time he just he just not he's not the guy he's not it not it but um the running back room I'm comfortable with super comfortable with wi room we don't have a legit number one you know that's a very uh I guess you can say scary time for us because we've had Ken and Allen for so long you know it's kind of kind of it's new territory for us so DJ CH lamb lamb Maki Josh Palmer Quinn Johnston brenon R semi foko so it's it's a new regime and the blocking Titans we have they not really know the pass catching will dley and Hayden Hurst Stone smart and I I think we need a better pass catching Titan in that room um so the receiver the receiving group Titan and wide receiver got a lot of questions who's gonna be who's going to emerge as being a productive person in that in those rooms is gonna be it o not really arguing nothing there outside of Bradley Boseman can he be the center for this team and Lead this unit because you know how I feel about cers and being the the the the captain of the group can he Galvanize that line but I'm not I'm not concerned about the tackles at all I think the tackles are fine I think the guards are fine it's just well not the center can play well um but the defense are actually very uh I'm very high on um we got tiry tart from the Titans who's a really good run stopper we pair him with uh Puna Ford two behem in the middle I think we're gonna be good solid against the run which allow Deon and and Junior and and Perryman to flow and and make plays from the linebacker spot I like that uh Morgan Fox is a hybrid run stopping size pass rushing DT like that in love with our edges love our linebackers I'm actually okay I'm actually like the production of what the quarterbacks did in the in the preseason with Dean lonard Jia Taylor and those guys playing well in uh in in extended Duty the preseason so you couple that with chrisan Fon and Assan Samuel I think is a good group um and I really like I sa the room now that Tony Jefferson in that group uh he made the roster with Darren James Tony Jefferson and Alo Gilman so I think that that Jesse M is going to have some uh some fun with this unit so I think we play solid defense run the ball effectively early and figure out who our pass C is going to be then that's going to be the the telling Factor how well we can doing the season awesome okay got any other questions or concerns anything you want to add to this take before we move on no man no all right all right so yeah we'll see how the Char this season go but I'm optimistic and uh and look out for me on NFL Nation live next week I'm doing a Raiders show uh on Wednesday before the Lightning Fast podcast uh uh on Wednesday so we have four day for me on Wednesday we'll go into the lons then discuss the game against the the Raiders faithful so that'll be interesting but um yeah but it's gonna be a good time and hopefully the Chargers will uh get themselves a victory in
