When Jonathan Smith made the move from Oregon State to East Lansing, he brought a big piece with him, quarterback Adan Childs and now headed into the season. If Michigan State plans to get back to national relevance, that big piece certainly comes with big expectations as a freshman last year with the Beavers Childs was the backup quarterback only playing 35 snaps, but his confidence is still sky high, not holding back yesterday saying he believes he's the best quarterback in the big 10. Childs is a dual threat type of guy. He's capable of turning nothing into something. He spent the summer working with his new receivers to build up that chemistry just three days into fall camp Childs and his new weapons have big plans for the Spartans offense. I love the pressure. It's a, it's a, you know, I don't know how to explain it, but it's just different now, like I get to prove what I can do this year, but I know that these, the teams kinda on me to do what I have to do. I got eight in house, you know, I can't wait to play with him. He just, he just, he's a dude, man, you know that West Coast offense being able to get him out of the pocket and stretch plays down the field. It helps my game and make more plays down the field. This team will just get better by the day. The Spartans will scrimmage for the first time during fall camp one week from tomorrow.
