City this afternoon the way they wrestled momentum back from West Ham West Ham started the game quite well let's not forget that first five 10 minutes they done quite well got on the front foot tried to put City on the back foot they wrestled momentum back and then they dominated the game in that first half the first half they they were incredible the the way they finished their chances and the composure the team have in the opposition's Box West Ham had a chance lateer on and myself and Owen looked at each other and was Panic trying to get a finish away such was trying to get it out his feet couldn't do so every time Manchester City get the ball in the opposition's Box there's no Panic everyone's nice and composed and they work even if it's an extra pass to create the finishing opportunity which we saw when harand come inside and unloaded the second shot yeah when your report card on the 90 that's just how Man City play it's just what they do every time and I think I mean sh made a really good point when you got you know Bernard Kevin De bruyne and erling Harland and Edis all these types of guys they're just they're too good the one thing I would say is when you give ering Howland that type of space he's going to hurt you you know so at some point either you mark him or you get tight or you try and be physical but with the space that he had to run into on the first one the second one he's allowed to get on to his left and then the third one you know he kind of runs in behind I know he's he's he's a problem because physically he's big and strong and he's quick but you have to try and make it a little bit more difficult cuz this guy is just he's just a machine he really is and if de Bry is playing the balls in Bernardo then you're going to struggle yeah absolutely I want to talk about the first half uh because the first and the second we briefly touched on were a little bit different for City they had so many chances uh hit the woodwork there were chances there was a chance for greish de braer had an opportunity he in fact hit the woodwork as well two1 at halim it could have been more yeah it probably should have been more because of the chances that they did create to be fair they were unlucky de BR especially you know Ariola made one brilliant say then hit the post on another and the problem is they just get so many bodies forward they make it really difficult I think for West Ham or any club to defend because there's not enough Defenders there there's about seven eight guys in the box and I just think as a Defender you're probably thinking where are these guys coming from you know just put so much pressure on the team yeah they don't need any help and yet that's what West Ham gave them there was a turnover from Silva um who you mentioned was once again so brilliant today that led to the opening opportunity highand with the uh opening goal talk us through this here in the field well he's had a nibble at the ball first off and then he's gone after the ball again and got the ball back and the waiter pass after he does that slides his teammate in harand starts to read there might be a turnover here and he's on his way as uh as Owen mentioned earlier the West Ham Center offes are split to play and then you're in big trouble if you give it away what about Pak though losing the ball should he how how could he have done better yeah but he's a Brazilian that's how he plays you know he he kind of gets his he takes risks that's how he plays the problem is Bernardo Silva he knew exactly what was going to happen sh made a great point he pressed in the first one won that and then he did it again paket thought you're not going to get off me again and Bernardo Silva did and the problem is when you leave a big gap like that for harand to run into he just cruises into it and the Finish he opens his body was beautiful so it was an on goal to restore parity but that didn't last long because Highland again with the Finish after all those chances we mentioned he showed them how the finish should be pulled off look at the composure of of the city players composure composure composure composure and then the Finish there's no Panic in any of their play they they would weren't trying to get the ball out their feet and smash it against the opposition's defense you know greish has started it then it's a chain of events West Ham Defenders are getting there too late at that stage and then the Finish is fantastic touching side Bank goalkeeper can't react so is the criticism then that they should have closing down sooner no they should just be allowed more players because there I mean they got seven guys in the Box offensively I mean you're not going to have seven eight Defenders really in your own box and I just think when they overload you like that it just it just makes it so hard the only criticism I'd say is Emerson's worried about dku but actually he should be more worried about harand take away the left foot of harand let the ball go to dku and if he scores he crosses that he does I think you got to find a way to take away Holland de brne they're the guys that hurt you the most let's look at the goal that seals his hatrick it can pretty late on in the second half the spell of opportunity of control for West Ham but it was Manchester City that got the goal puts the gloss on the score line as well great run from him great vision what more can you tell us about it well clever look he's he's way offside at this moment in time he sees I don't have to get onside just yet the ball's not ready to come then he gets onside briefly and then he's gone and once he goes he transfers all the pressure to the goalkeeper so the goalkeeper instead of the G through thinking to himself I've got to score I've got to score Panic he doesn't he goes okay I'm in full control of this and the goalkeeper got the pressure transferred to him and it's a little dink it looks easy but it's not those numbers are just ridiculous eight Premier League hat tricks in 69 games played that is so far and away from some legendary names Jules you nail that they're the legends of our game of our league some of the the best to ever do it Sergio G Alan Sher Robbie fer re that is the best of the best and we're talking 12 hat tricks in 27 in so eight hat tricks in 69 games I mean it's not we've never ever seen anyone not even Messi Ronaldo were putting up these numbers it's truly astonishing there a digit fell off the games tally there it's at 169 there something C there we we lost a digit of some description it's incredible as Owen said they the legends of our game all of those names on there and one is creating Legend absolutely a story in the making the latest chapter today last week it was a hattrick every 9.7 games Manchester City lead 2-1 at West Ham only one goal in at Stewart but those numbers we're looking at seems to tell the story of the first 45 domination there's a lot of stats that don't tell you the picture of a first off this does you know they've been incredible Manchester City Bernardo Silva everything comes through him uh it's 2-1 that's the only plus that West Ham have got at this moment in time I've got to say Manchester City have been magnificent I think because there were so many opportunities for them to add to that score line yeah I mean sure makes a great Point really with their first attack they scored West Ham but Manchester dominated that game it's a miracle it's only 2-1 really it just feels like more goals are going to come City are just too strong erling Harden Kevin De bruyne Bernardo Silva they're just too many good players to to deal with yeah it was earling Holland who opened the scoring let's take look at the opening goal and Stuart just your thoughts on it the mistake from West Ham well people don't give Manchester City enough credit for some of the pressing that they do you know this is Bernardo Silva going hunting the ball on his own U with the backup of one or two players as soon as you spread to play you have a problem and the pass is Sensational great first touch and I'll tell you what he made that finish look fantastically easy really easy the one thing you would say is the two center backs from West Ham the two split M Panos he's got to realize that gap's too big Howland just walks through it because he sees it there if he comes further over he can maybe stop that but once he gets in there finish and then we get the celebrations which we're we're accustomed to all my son's teammates always do that when they score they all just get down and give it the the celebration it's kind of symbolic this one as well because it is nearly identical to his first ever goal celebration in a city shirt in actually nearly the very same spot similar looking kit against the same team here we go probably found the same spot where you reckon to it I think it was absolutely identical I've got to say it looks as he's enjoying scoring goals it's fair to say yeah well six goals now to start the season does um earling Highland and it's equal to Eden Zeo and the way he started the season let's look at one all because this out on the right for West Ham was brilliant well it to me for me it's all mo kudus you know he's kind of the one watch this he comes inside he wants to get on the ball he can't get into the game watch this pass back watch this flick around the corner watch this one here bum and the're outout it's beautiful with the outside of his left and and then the counter and when you got pakata and Jared Bowen these types of players they put you under pressure on the counter don't they Stuart when you look at the contrast between the first goal they've tried to play out and lost it it's ended up in their own net they've played out and got away with it and done well through a good piece of skill I've got to say and then they've got fortunate there's no doubt this is where they've been most dangerous on the counter yeah look that's the you don't get many chances against City so you got to take him but again sure makes a good point play out but play out through the good players you know kudus pakata they're the guys that get you they they keep the ball really well I just love kudus when he comes and gets the ball he's just brilliant yeah so it's one one at that point that didn't last long though because Manchester City reti the lead same man again uh on the end of it so many opportunities greish de brainer and then he showed them how it's done Holland with a rocket it's just too many isn't there Stuart look I mean look at the bodies that they get forward and and again one thing I would say is I know harland's a brilliant finisher and there's a lot of body to defend you can't allow har to get on his left foot you got to make him go onto his right surely it's it's like the first goal you've got to Mark him when there's no danger because all of a sudden if you try to Mark him too late like now Emerson's going to his left at that stage harland's coming inside and opening the goal up to an incredible finish you never had should have had that much time definitely not but you've got to understand it it's harand his goal record goes before him and as a Defender you've got to say to yourself you know what an average player I need to give you very little room early in harand got a stand in his pocket thank you thank you very much okay well City restored the lead there so they need 2-1 at halim that means for West Ham 2-1 to Manchester City at halim they're in front they haven't had it all their own way but it started perfectly for them Jamie with that West Ham started really brightly they got on the front foot got after them but then once they settled down Manchester City and a lot of it is down to Bernardo Silva you see him pressing patar there good first touch and then Harland just with his left foot we'll speak about what a great finisher he is but what I've Loved about his performance today has been his first touch at times this one here he just gets it exactly where he wants it which enables him them to open up his body and then just stroke it great pass by Bernardo and you can just see that first touch is great now everything is there for him and can he open his body up roll it into the corner absolutely can a thing of beauty I mean you mentioned that fast start for West Ham but it was only five or six minutes cuz after six minutes their their equalizer came when they got the ball in the final third for only the second time after that and then they managed to get into the they managed to to get into that but the way that they're they're working Mah for Manchester city has just been so impressive yeah it's been impressive but they just get caught out here I just highlighted cage in that middle area the pitch there I think a lot of people ask you what is the difference with with rodri in there and it's about the timing of when to step out and when to Hold Your Position and you just see there got caught out and then Diaz can't sort out his feet which is really good play from West Ham on that Counterattack like we said before the game but yeah it's just in that middle area because Man City commits so many players forward they leave it a little bit open but Rico Lewis Jamie I love him he's such a good footballer you can see him here we spoke about the Battle of him and cudos before the game he finds himself in a really good position and then once that ball Falls to him it's good piece of play by greish Bernardo then he gets it out of his feet plays it really quickly a Harland and again I talk about that first touch it's subtle but it's so important because his right foot just chops it back onto his left which enabled him just to hit it with I mean we talk about the thinging was of first one was a finger Beauty that's just the thing he's a beast you seen beauty and a beast today I will say Emerson has to do better you know harlon wants to get it back on his left foot you cannot let him come back here you've got to make sure you block that off and if you can and it's easier said than done make sure he show him onto his right foot but unbelievable touch and finishing by harand there it's incredible he says it's the first season he started where he feels completely well they've got things going again here and I wonder what kind of second we have in for us [Music] H decied that [Music] STL [Music] goodon goalkeeping the referee as aoul kick attack fizz ralo put [Music] in Spartans finding on
