him this time they got to him and forced that incompletion so a tricky situation here third and very long inside your own 20 how much of risk do you take you know this and it's intercepted he stepped in front of that bullet follows the pick with a nice return before finally being brought down well here it is opening drive of the game just trying to find that Rhythm run the ball couple passes and this one backfires poor decision by the quarterback that's 100 on him and this defense now gives their own offense great field position here to get points on the board back behind the quarterback line in the pistol The Flipper to him on the Jet Sweep the gain is three now it's second down and seven big fan of that Jet Sweep motion like that it really forces a defense to stretch them out horizontally and can create some vertical seams for this offense they got some positive yards did quite get the first down but tell you what they've done planted a seed on this defense that they better defend this style of play moving forward so here we go third down defense needs a stop here try to force a field goal attempt can he make it to the marker fights his way into the Z touchdown Southern California we had a short field the off did exactly what they're supposed to do that would have been a big ass the defense there absolutely but when you're given that kind of Fu position great job of getting after the quarterback and forcing him into that incompletion from the shotgun now here's an inside give you know in the RPO game quarterback's got to make really sound decisions on that read either give it when it's the right time or you pull it out and make the throw here I think he's kind of in that gray area besides to hand it off and at least picked up some positive yards and he'll drop back here on third down the sack in the play could not escape the pass rush this I really felt the quarterback came off the fake a little the defense didn't bite at all on the play throw the offense out of whack and their game plan gets much more challenging to try to come up with that first down they come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now drops back needing a third down completion here he's hit right as he throws it hey it's an incompletion but it's a nice job by the quarterback I know it didn't pan out but the most important thing is he didn't turn the football over and he didn't take a sack it'll give your kicker a chance to put some points on the board if they opt for the field goal here on fourth defense comes up with a big turnover that could breath the nail on the cof they'll just try to run some clock here keeping it on the ground breaks the tackle now he's got room to run they bring him down but the game sets up the offense first and goal from the 10 I really Qui run by this running back the defense fortunate to be able to bring him down inside the 10 yd line but it's first and goal for the offense the defense backed up against their own End Zone they'll try to run it in on first and goal they try the middle but gain nothing on that play that was an excellent effort by this defense just staying in their R holding their own at the line of scrimmage and then making a tackle offense just couldn't get enough of a push to get any yards hand off looking to throw the pocket really struggled today Chris when it comes to throwing the football they have dug themselves a huge hole they're not going to have any chance of coming back and I think one thing about this is you wonder where you go from here you're hoping to make a play or two to give yourself a belief that things can get better and that's interception number five when will this QB get the hook and look at the return after the interception sets the offense up in good shape I just don't think there's anything else you can do as a play caller you've got to be able to throw the ball down field you just got
