[Music] hey everybody welcome back to Growing Up von Eric with Kristen and Holly von Eric we have a very special guest from another uh very well-known wrestling family uh Miss Natty nart Natty how are you doing today I'm doing great thank you guys so so much for having me you are so awesome for being on we know you're in Canada with your family so this is really cool of you yes oh no it's my pleasure I was so honored that you guys asked yeah no for sure we were we were so EXC right whenever we first talked to you about it or I did a little bit I I was so excited to tell holly and Eric and they're so excit it'll be great yeah for sure we have so there's so many parallels between our families and I don't know there's just a lot to talk about in regards to like legacies and you know how we want people to be remembered and things like that so ABY what are you doing out there again you're about to tell us why you were out there something cool I was well so yesterday we did Monday Night Raw I um I made my return back to the ring and I took the summer off I was working on a couple projects but um my like we're back in Calgary and that's where my family started my grandfather started Stampede Wrestling and built like the heart Legacy in this city so it's it was so cool to be able to make my red debut in WWE um back in Calgary my whole family was there Brett was on raw and then you know I was able to win my match for my for my team and um it's just so cool it's so cool so I love it's always nice being back home yeah oh amazing that's so we um I don't know if everybody knows this but your grandfather was one of the introduced our grandfather to wrestling he he said you know you might make a good wrestler I think um yes yes so what did you ever hear that story or how did you hear it so I actually I I went and watched the iron claw and I because I just I was like really fascinated by the story like just I wanted to see it because of course growing up from a wrestling family I was like I want to check out this movie and just you know yeah I had heard about my grandparents connection with the Bon Erics but I didn't know what exactly it was until I saw the movie I sent Brett a text and I said um and Brett I sent Brett a text and I said you've got to see this movie you know I really enjoyed it and I just I thought it was really fascinating and it's you know we're working on something you know not similar but our family's working on on a few things and I was like you need to check out this movie and and Brett said you know this whole Brett's like you know how the von Eric has got you know into wrestling and Brett gave me this long like I got like an essay from Brett about like your grandfather's connection with with my grandfather and my grandfather met him and he was doing something with the Edmonton Eskimos and Sue said you know you're big you're strong you should get into wrestling and next thing you know your grandfather's living at my grandparents house at the heart house I didn't know that yeah they they they stayed for a few months and um my grandfather broke in Fritz into broke him in in the dungeon so and taught him yeah so it's it's just like such a special connection that like Brett knew backstory to it and I was like you know I just it was just really cool like our family just had that connection like yeah my grandfather's gotten so many people into wrestling but with your family being so iconic it was just like it's just I feel like it was just Destiny you know that they their path crossed like that yeah for sure definitely definitely you know uh daddy uh growing up with this wrestling family uh this is something that I've asked Ross and Marshall and both of the girls well was it always uh like a plan of yours to get into the wrestling business uh for me like growing up my dad didn't really want his because I have two sisters my dad didn't really want us being wrestlers because back in the 80s there wasn't really that many women wrestlers there was like Sensational Sherry and Miss Elizabeth but it was yeah and like I love Miss Elizabeth too but like you know there wasn't a lot of women wrestlers so it was more women like Luna vashan and there was ballets but it just was more of a man's world so my dad kind of sheltered us from that and didn't really want us you know doing it um or really being around it cuz he felt like he had to really protect us you know from the business and then as I became like a teenager and women's wrestling became more prevalent and you know we started seeing trist Stratus and Lita and you know all these different women in WWE then all of a sudden like I kind of got the itch I was like when I was 16 I was watching Trish and Lita and I was like I want to do this you know like I remember Trisha just I think she it was like her first couple years in WWE and I was like she's you know athletic and she's pretty and this looks like so much fun and I was like so anyway I ended up I ended up going to the dungeon which is where my grandfather start you know he would train people in the dungeon and I had one practice session in there and I was just hooked I had so much fun and I was like the only girl in our family to like wrestle so and no girls were allowed to wrestle in the like no my grandfather also didn't you know he was very traditional and didn't want the women in the family wrestling so just like our Granddad yeah would have been the same way yeah yeah for sure I know Lacy pursued wrestling and that it sounds like really similar because I feel like if Granddad had been alive when Lacy started to pursue it he definitely would have been outspoken about maybe not wanting or two initially but I think he would have been he just loved athleticism he was so impressed by you know like he can't really deny that yeah exactly and Lacy and maybe you were like this too Natty but Lacy and Holly and Jill they were always those kids that uh you know would get off go up to the diving board and and say oh let me try that and just do a double backflip or like something they would see somebody else do and could you are athletic colie I know I wasn't I wasn't that good no but Natty were you always an athlete like were you already naturally gifted in the ring well it's funny you bring up your grandfather say like loving athleticism because that's just like my grand father he loved anybody that was athletic he just loved them like he didn't care about he's like married that boy yeah exactly that's exactly my grandfather um I mean I feel like I was I I like sports I I did gymnastics and I did dance and you know I I did amateur wrestling in high school and I I I was never really great at sports I feel like I I was okay I I feel like I was never really great it was it was but I but like when I look back at my gymnast astics background like just having done that like as a kid growing up and stuff and dance it helped me find my conf it helped me find confidence was like you end up you're you can use some of those skills in the ring later on and actually I remember when I remember when Lacy I was there when Lacy came and when she got hired by WWE Natty she told me because I I messaged her today and I was like hey do you know Natty and she's like yeah I've told you about her because she was my first match ever yeah a biker bar in Florida what like 18 years ago or something she said it was it was like it was actually close to 18 years ago it was like 17 and a half years ago we had like oh my gosh she had gotten hired around the same time as I had gotten hired and I remember hearing about her coming in and they were like this girl she's you know she's like a model and she's beautiful and her family and I was like she came in and she just was like striking strikingly beautiful like beautiful body like she she just was like she just looked like a star from the second she walked in the room she was just so beautiful do yeah she does she she was athletic and she had like a fun personality and I was her first match because I had a like I had about five years of experience before I got hired by WWE which was a lot more than the other girls so they would always make me like be everybody's first match like Natty will guide you oh she'll break you in yeah and it's funny because Lacy was actually in the same class with me and the Bella twins so yeah yeah and the Bella's loved Lacy so I remember she loves them too I've Heard lots of good stories about them from her yeah and so they like the twins just like they had like a soft spot for her and um Lacy was yeah Lacy was my first match and we wrestled I know the place that we wrestled it was Bourbon Street it was an old bar called Bourbon Street which ended up getting like shut down um oh my God but it was in front of like 50 people but like it was just the experience that we needed you know what I mean like we just needed to like lock up and grab a headlock and likees and it was we had so much fun I mean even like when I I was talking to my husband about this earlier but when I first started with WWE like I had such a great time and I was like the least amount of money that I've ever made yeah but I just had a blast and I look back on those yeah like I look back on those moments and I'm like these are the moments that you know gosh it's of course it's starting to rain where I'm at let me um hold on one sec guys no you're fine this would happen to me if I can get under the umbrella I think I could be okay hold on one second this is the stuff that always happens this is like you know we're live yeah okay I I'm putting up an umbrella no let me grab my husband really quick hold on one second you're totally fine you can see why like lacy and Natty and these people they get like it for wrestling you know cuz it's so much fun for them like that's I remember Lacy just having a blast with especially like Natty was saying she danced but I feel like that Showmanship is so important in wrestling like if you enjoy that you know if you enjoy the crowd's reaction and stuff like you know wrestling is like addictive I think I would have liked that I think I see like sorry guys the showmans part I think I would have had a blast with that part I just don't want to be slapped or kicked or punched or any of yeah maybe you should have been a manager or something I think this is so awesome to hear the history and how this other family had a hand and training your Granda oh I know yeah I remember and I'll tell Natty this too maybe but I remember one time somebody was no perfect somebody like had a bad match or something I forget exactly but somebody had some kind of negative thing where they came home and they were in a bad mood and they were like you know this happened or whatever and it was something like something didn't go right with with a heart and Mimi walked in and was like we will always love the heart like she she put her foot down about like they were life long friends because I yeah they let them live they let Mimi and granddad live with them um oh yeah while they were getting like on their feet which is just amazing that is so cool I had from what I've heard did that with a lot of wrestlers he took a lot of people in yeah no I'm sorry I just had to go in from outside guys this is what happens on live TV no it's okay this is like real life it started it started raining and then there was I was sitting near an umbrella but the umbrella didn't work so I'm just now in my my um mother-in-law's storage room because they're all in there playing a board game whatever works yeah lifestyles of a WWE Superstar I love it but no just adding to what you guys were saying my my grandfather he took in so many people you know like I think that's kind of when I when I think about like even just that wrestling culture and first meeting you know Lacy and and understanding her background and stuff I think it's kind of like we we still even if I haven't seen Lacy in such a long time we still have like a Sisterhood from that Bond of you know starting out in the business together yeah remember Lacy told us about that match whenever because we had her on a few weeks ago and she said all these people are just like at a bar and you're wrestling and it's not like everyone's attention's on you you're like fighting for their attention the whole time they're they're like drinking and having their own conversations so that was like part of the fun for her and the challenge is trying to make sure everybody dropped what they were doing and watch the match and so like that's just another element I think of those those kinds you know that type of start in wrestling so you have to it's a skill for sure and it's there's just so much that goes into it and I that's you know like for me I've in WWE now for 17 and a half years and um there's just so many elements so it's like you can't just be a good wrestler you know you have to be good on the microphone and you have to be good with people and you have to be good with all these different like elements and like back in the day with our you know grandfathers they didn't the business was so different but now so big there's so many different elements to like seeing in the business but like it's it's just have to be so well so it's like for me Nat you sound like a robot yeah we're losing you there Nat I think connection dropping okay let me see if it stop raining I'll going outside again do this in the rain wor I'm sorry guys this is I wanted this like no this is making me just love you more because it's so relatable no couldn't figure it out it just started raining so the only reason we haven't figured out is because we've been doing this for a little bit now we were exactly the only reason that my camera is not up all right it's sort of stopped raining so it's it's stopped raining a little bit is it cold there what's it feel like what's the temperature are you cold that's good cherl yeah no it's it's a little chilly outside okay we're back yeah hello okay it stopped raining it was a quick little rain rainstorm but it's it's I can can I ask so you're 17 and a half years wrestling it's you've had so many accomplishments I mean more than any other women's you know wrestler that I know of for sure um I I just have this list is smack 2017 yeah Divas Champion longest tenure female WWE Superstar first ever true or all fake news you're making me yeah I know you guys are making me flush um no I mean I I have what it is is that I've been been in WWE for so long so it's like I've been I've just had a like a a massive body of work because it's been so uninterrupted I've had like I have six Guinness World Records but it's just because I've worked a ton you know and that's kind of it's It's I'm very lucky and I'm very grateful and fortunate that I've had such a long career but it's also been like you know we've had our ups and downs and I think like that's the one thing that I think your family and our family like really fond thing that kind of that we can kind of really Bond over because as much fun as it is to be a part of the wrestling business it's also we've also had our fair share of tragedies and you know with with just like highs and lows you know in the industry but I'm I feel like I'm still you know I'm still here and I'm still I love what I do and I'm able to contribute in such a way that just you know it feels very fulfilling and rewarding for me to be able to do what my family started yeah you know natti you know you mentioned about the tragedies and I know you know that the Von Erics have experienced some of the the same stuff uh different circumstances but what was that like for your family uh when Owen passed away with that tragic accident that had to be so hard for the heart family I can only yeah and that was just you know it was just such a it was just such a hard time for our family I mean there's a million different emotions that we had and you know it was just it was just so hard and it's funny because the building that we were in last night for Monday Night Raw that was um the building that my family performed in in 1997 for a pay-per-view for WWE called in your house and it was really the last time my family was all together so it was it was 1997 it was called the um iny house Canadian Stampede pay-per-view and I was saying to Brett last night at at Monday Night Raw I was like this building brings back so many emotions because that was the last time Owen and and Brett and my dad and Davey that was the last time we were all together you know and and so to be back there and like performing in my hometown it just it it brought back good memories but I was also thinking about like the time when Owen was in that ring holding his little son and there's this like iconic photo of Owen holding his little son o and OJ has like a little Canadian flag and he's holding it in his hand and it's like you know I just it would be so like I still think to this day it would be so cool if Owen was still here and we could you know he could help me or we could talk about wrestling or we could you know and I know you guys feel that same way too about about your family like it would be so cool to be able to bond with them and share your hopes and dreams and tears and all the all the you know the goods and the bads of of life but but I I think about Owen every day and I you know it was just a really really hard time for our family but I love that he is being celebrated and his family is you know his wife Martha and his his son OJ and his daughter Athena they're they're doing everything they can to kind of keep his legacy alive yes and I think it's important to try to keep their their legacy alive as much asut you know as much as as much as they can in in a respectful way well when you're invol here right now yeah exactly when you're involved with that then it's at least you're doing what you can you know to to keep their legacy in line with what who you remember and who you really knew them to be versus just you know standing by and letting that whatever narrative you know sort of take over so yeah that that was our motivation in in doing this podcast is you know if you don't if you don't tell people who your granddad really was and who your uncles's really were and your dad then you know they're going to come up with their own you know story based on like YouTube or what they movies or whatever so we wanted that's you're 100% right like the it's it's so important and I was actually saying that to Brett last night because we had a good talk after Monday Night Raw and I was like for me it's so important to keep our family Legacy alive because everything that my grandfather started I want to be able to keep that moving keep people remembering it keep people you know like you guys talking about your grandfather and your uncles and your family and what they built and it's you know I think there's been a lot of attention on your family especially with the success of ironclaw like everybody that I talked to that watched the movie they really liked it they really enjoyed the movie and like I and again I don't know what you guys thought of the movie but I really enjoyed it yeah it was a good movie yeah if I wasn't Carrie Von er's daughter extremely protective then I would have been like yeah that was good but being Daddy's daughter I was just you know disappointed but if I if I could take myself out of that if it was possible then I'd be like that was a great movie and I do respect everyone who was a part of it it was wasn't exactly accurate on on many wasn't accurate and it was painful to see you it was painful to see your dad portrayed in a way that's not accurate I mean you natti I mean you've probably there's probably been stories about your family told on the Internet or about your dad that whether they're true or not like it hurts when someone else is say saying something about about your family that you know you may not want advertised everywhere you know 100% And it's funny because that's a great like that's such a good way of explaining it because it's like so I didn't know your family the way that you know them so I'm was watching this movie from like a I'm watching it from a a different perspective and I what I got from it was like the whole for me what I took away from that movie is the with is your grandfather Fritz he he loved the boys so much that it's almost like he loved them too hard and he wanted them to be such success stories but it was almost like an obsession and it put so much pressure on the boys and so for me because I grew up in a wrestling family like my grandfather was like that with my uncles and it was kind of tough love because he had so many kids and he wanted them all to be my grandfather wanted his boys to all be very successful but like yeah it almost became a lot of pressure on them where like what if they didn't like wrestling what if they didn't want to be a part of the family business my grandfather was like somebody didn't show up tonight that's actually how Brett one of you know Brett was saying you know one of the reasons why he started wrestling was because somebody didn't show up one of the other wrestlers never made it to the show so they were like Brett we need you to wrestle tonight and Brett's like okay you got your boots get in the ring and you know so it's kind of like so I just I got what I got from it was that there was a lot of pressure on them to be like to succeed and so I could relate to it because I knew that our family my grandfather was so loving and loved his kids so much but almost like back in the day they just raised kids differently yeah he wanted them to be successful no matter what they did he would have wanted them to give 100% and the thing is it it started with maybe a pressure from you know my dad would be proud of me my brothers are doing this and they'd be proud of me but then there's a pressure that comes from the people who grow to love you you know to be a certain way and to perform and to always be up and always be in a you know energetic and in the right I mean I feel like all of that is just hard on anybody you know what I mean like I even for you Natty I mean I'm sure it's like this if you're having a bad day like you still have a job to do and you can't yes you know you can't have you have to publicly not be in a bad mood or you know whatever that must I mean yeah it's like even with my dad like you know it's it's like I'm okay with saying you know like my dad my dad was an was an awesome wrestler and he left behind a great legacy in wrestling but he struggled with anxiety and depression and like he was an athlete that put a lot of pressure on himself and so back in the day they didn't talk about mental health back in the right back in the 80s they and I think that's those are important conversations to have is like back in the 80s they weren't talking about they weren't talking about you know again mental health so my dad would feel anxious because you know one minute Vince loved him the next minute Vince didn't like him the next minute Vince liked him the next minute Vin and so I know your dad I know like with Carrie um because my you know because my dad and your dad were in the industry around that same time so yeah I I just know the pressures that my dad where he felt loved one minute and he felt like that he wasn't wanted the next and he lost my dad lost his job numerous times and so it caused my dad to have a lot of anxiety and depression and so when he was going through that he he turned to drugs and alcohol and and so for me like I'm not afraid to say yeah my dad struggled with that kind of stuff but also like it made me a stronger person watching it and it kind of taught me like about the things I didn't want to do ex the life that I like I it taught me about the life that I didn't want to lead and I kind of learned about a lot of the things not to do because I saw my dad struggle with it and now like the cool thing about working in WWE is that now we have a lot of resources the company is so good about like providing resources to the wrestlers like for mental health you're having a bad day or like you lost a family member or your family is going through something I I took a little time off this summer and the company was so great about it they were like take as much time as you need and I wanted to get yeah so it's like it's just so good to hear it's it's really changing so much in the best way and the culture is so different now like our boss Triple H he is such a cool boss he is so he like I I um just recently got eye surgery to correct a stigmatism in my eye and I needed a little bit more time off to get that done and he's like go get your eyes fixed he's like don't even worry about it go take care of yourself and it was like it's just so cool to have a boss that just like is human get it yeah I'm very happy to hear that really have a good heart he's been honestly i' I I was saying this to my husband the other day but like this is working with Triple H over the last year it's it's been such a breath of fresh air because he was also a wrestler right he gets yeah so he knows all about what it's like to you know you're pitching a storyline or you're going through a hardship at home or like he has three daughters as well so he knows like about handling girls you know girls are different than guys we're more emotional we overthink things and like yeah you say it need to say it a certain way you're telling yeah he's just a really so great and he's like he's a really cool boss and like he just I really like working for him and with him and like it's just been it's just been such a breath of fresh air but you know I do I do empathize with my dad and a lot of the struggles that my dad and like the wrestlers in the 80s went through because it was just a different era back then and I get just like you guys I get protective of my dad because I don't want anybody saying anything like bad about him but at the same time I'm very like realistic about yeah he made mistakes but like it's also Again part of that culture back then was just this crazy era right and we didn't know so many things about painkillers for example like we didn't understand how addicting they were and you had doctors prescribing them left and right like for my dad giving them out or like giving you a pad of of prescription papers you know to write your own and and a lot of these doctors were wrestling fans so I mean there wasn't like a lot of accountability for you know I it's just it would have been a really a hard time to not struggle with any kind of addiction you can't talk about what you're struggling with yeah it's no you're you're 100% right and like I just you know actually it's funny I think my dad may have been your dad's last match in WWE I think that TJ said that yeah he might he may have been um I know my like I know our dads traveled together and rode together I know my Dad loved your dad well I always heard about the hearts growing up always heart I love that so much because I feel like your dad was like my dad's kind of guy my dad had like a close group of friends that like always had his back and you know cared about him and just looked after him and like your dad you know from what I've heard seemed extremely genuine um which it's so nice to be able to remember those good memories because you know they're it's like as the years go on I lost my dad in 2018 and I sometimes it's like I feel like he's still here but then sometimes I'm like it feels like a 30 years since I've seen him I'm like it feels like forever I haven't talked to him in so long oh but man but sorry about that thank you but no I'm actually working on a couple projects that I'm trying to keep the keep the family name alive and um and I love what you guys are doing with this podcast it's just like a nice positive way to like celebrate you know your family's Legacy but also talk start important conversations you know these conversations are so important yeah for sure Natty I know we're uh running low on time and you have to leave here in a second I want to thank you so much this has been so I'll give you guys an extra five minutes since I had that glitch okay not a problem but I I just wanted to ask you I I there's something about that older generation I love and I mean there's so many people in your family that I could pick your head about right now that I was such a fan of growing up but one thing I've always been curious about I've heard about your grandfather as the wrestler and taking the guys down there in the dungeon and uh and the different you know uh impersonations people have had of him over the years but what kind of person was Stu behind the scenes what kind of grandfather was he he he was a very he was a very loving man but he was very firm and he was very he was very traditional but he he would do anything to help anyone like he would you know there's a story about there was a guy back in the 70s that tried to break into the heart house and my grandfather like caught him trying to break into the house like a burglar and my grandfather kind of like just completely disarmed the situation brought the guy down to the dungeon put him in a bunch of wrestling holds oh my God and then like put him brought him to the dungeon literally put him in submission hold so that the guy would learn not to do that again like you're not gonna come into my house and break him my home I'm going to basically tie you up in knots in the dungeon and then after my grandfather was like making this guy tap out he brought him upstairs and like they had tea and talked about like why what the guy was going through his poor choices yeah yeah and then my grandfather ended up giving the guy a job for Stampede Wrestling and he was like selling programs and work for my grandfather after oh my gosh Grandad yeah that sounds so much like our Granddad too I love him yeah nobody that knew Granddad will has a negative you know memory or negative story about who they who his character it's only you know like well he didn't hire me for this or you know like I heard that he that this happened but anybody that knew our granddad as a person you know love loves him and has the best memories because he was very loving and very firm you know I love that I can tell you are just like you are super genuine you're so talented you're incredibly humble and I just I know your family's so proud of you and I just thank you for coming on here with us because this is our way of like continuing our family's Legacy in a positive way we have Ross and Marshall still killing you know they're out there wrestling and Kristen and I are over here trying to keep everybody's mental health in check how do you keep your mental health in check by the way because I know that that lifestyle you were living is it's it's insane I mean I couldn't do it it's that's a great no that's a great question and again this is why like having a podcast like this it just opens up really important conversations and it just gets people talking for me I'm just like anyone I have good days I have bad days I have days where I doubt myself I have days that like I feel like even even like last night before I went out through the curtain I just had this little moment in my head where I was like I'm nervous like I'm so nervous and it's like you know people get surprised like you still get nervous about doing this and I'm like yeah because I care so much you know and right I think it's like especially as a woman in the industry it's easy to put so much pressure on yourself but I also go like I was also like Natty you have to remember what brought you to the dance and I try to surround myself with a really good group of people that lift me up like in our locker room like Liv Morgan is a really close friend of mine and you know last night I was talking like with Bianca belir and she and I were sharing some like she was giving me some advice on something and like you know we're helping each other get our Tanner on and Ria Ripley was I needed help because I couldn't zip up my zipper for my costume and Ria like I didn't even ask Ria she just jumped in and like helped me zip my zipper up and she's like I like this outfit on you this is the one you should wear tonight and I think that it helps to like it helps really having people to lean on and I and I think that I'm lucky like I have my mom you know we I have a great support system in my mom and I think when people are going through tough stuff it's okay to talk about it and it's it's it's okay to go you know what I need to get therapy or I need to take a break or I need to you know even for me like just taking this break from WWE when I when I left I left in June I I have't my last match in June so it was like not even 3 months but yeah I took a little break cuz I was like I need a little mental reset like I just need some time to like just regroup recalibrate refocus and it it was just you know again is for my mental health because it's one thing to be healthy and fit like on a treadmill or you look great or you've got abs but if you're not right up here if your head isn't right you don't you can't do any of the fun stuff yeah there's no benefit yeah exactly you know you can't like so that's you know I always try to like and I try to take the experiences that I've gone through and try to be there for the other girls in the locker room that may need you know guidance or help because it's you know life whether you're wrestling in WWE or you're a mom or you're a teacher or whatever it is that you're doing it's hard you know it's it's dayto day everything for me is just dayto day that's right dayto day yeah we talked to somebody who was like every morning or was that you Eric somebody who was like every morning I wake up and I say what can I do for somebody else like that was like what gave him purpose you know like that was um or Mr yeah I thought last week my old started off every day saying today I will make a difference you know in somebody's life and that goes a long way it really does it really does just like whatever it is for you that that gives you purpose and and I think that your advice of just having a healthy Community around you that is key is a healthy Community it's one thing to have people to talk to but if they are helping fuel your toxicity or your Nega ity then please get rid of them it's the fact that you have You' realized and you've found a healthy Community that's that's awesome yeah people that lift you up yeah yeah it's just like I don't know it's just nice to be able to recognize it and be grateful for it you know if you I try to really and this is the last thing I'll say about it but uh I try to really every single day I try to be excited for the little things whether it's like I'm excited for coffee or I'm excited for this workout or yes I want I can't wait to have a good lunch or like I can't wait to watch my favorite show or I can't wait to call this you know can't wait to call my mom or can't wait to like hug my cat I really try to like think of the little things that make me happy because it it's just like there you have to get you have to wake up every day and find those little things that make you excited because the big things are very few and far between so if I'm just holding out hope next big thing yeah yeah like if I'm literally just holding out hope for like oh my God I'm not going to be happy unless I win the women's champion ship it's like I'm never going to be happy you know and it's like it's cool to have those big moments and and I've certainly had I've had many of those big moments especially in WWE but for me like some of the best moments of my life are the ones that nobody knows about like they're not posted about on Instagram little moments with my family that no one you know that are just for me who you should be with right now playing board games but you're here with us we're so thankful yeah I know you know I was gonna say Natty that reminds me so much of my dad's perspective and I think a lot of it is from maybe from grief and loss and it kind of just changes how you look at things but he genuinely takes joy in all those types of moments like all the time he's he's so excited when it rains he's so happy he's he's so happy that the food tasted good he thinks you know a kid doing something cute like one of the grandkids doing something cute like he just like lights up over it and I think he just realiz yeah you got to you get you know you find Joy it doesn't just you know no it's exact that's exactly it it's a little things are the big things really like they're the big things that's great advice Natty I can't wait to see what this this year holds for you in WWE I'm really excited to to watch you I don't I'm no watch wrestling anymore but now that I feel like I kind of know you I'm I'm excited to see what's in store thank you so much I'm on Monday nights um on Monday nights on right now we're on the USA Network but in January we're going to Netflix Co yeah so it's gonna be a big change for us but it'll be really cool and um I am hoping to win that Women's Championship so live Morgan you better watch out yes you are stud you are dad I I don't want to get too far ahead of myself I don't know if you can say anything but you said you've got some projects about the family coming out is that something that you can talk about right now I I've been I've still been sworn to secrecy about it so I won't give out I won't give out spoilers but there's two different things that I'm that I'm working on and it's it's again it's about keeping keeping the heart family name alive and being able to help kind of share our Legacy and just you know um being able to kind of just help shape that Legacy yeah and keep it keep it alive so there's two projects like I said when I'm maybe that's the next time I jump on your podcast and we can talk about it we need more hearts on here we do for sure oh thank you guys so much thank you I really appreciate this is you're so cool and it's just like it's weird how I feel like there is a connection and I know I feel like we're all cousins this is awesome yeah a well thank you much guys are soet yeah all right Natty thank you so much okay I'll talk to you guys later and thank you so much enjoy time with thank you guys okay bye all right guys that was really fun man like I there was you know it was hard because I knew we had a limited amount of time with her I mean one thing I want to say is thank you WWE for giving permission for her to do that that was really cool I know she is a very busy person but there was so many different places that you had to talk to her about so which one do I want to do she is such a cool person yeah yeah she definitely is there's yeah and we have we do have a lot of parallels with her but like how cool that she's also like a superstar wrest on her own I mean like yeah and as a female to do that I mean it's one thing to I mean it's hard to kill it like she has in the wrestling business as a woman especially and she and she's done it in like a non- cringeworthy way like she she's amazing yeah no I know I I I love that I love that she's I feel she's like a role model for you know other when we were growing up even whenever like um um you know my around my dad's time I remember we'd go to the matches and I would uh I wanted to be just like the girl wrestlers there because I thought they were so cool it was like they weren't just at home acting like boring like my mom they were like cool and backflipping and and uh they could walk on their hands you know stuff like that clothes yeah I remember Sweet Georgia Brown would walk on her hands and I just thought oh my gosh I'm doing that one day well scary Sherry had sparkly hair she' she put her Sparkle hairspray in my hair for me did you ever get to meet her Holly oh yeah because when I would go on trips with Daddy when he was with WWE um she like she was there I it must have been I think it was WWE when she was there yeah she would I mean my biggest memory of her she would share her green gum and she would you know put glitter hairspray in my hair for me yeah there weren't many kids around the matches so we got to do some cool stuff if you were there I mean I'm curious like as you guys was listening to Natty talk about her family there's so many parallels between the heart family and the Von Erics you know like she was saying they had a very public uh tragedy when Owen passed away not just Owen Davey Boy uh there was several Jim nart her father even and uh I'm just I'm curious like as you're hearing her talk about that family history there's got to be something there that's like I know what that feels like yeah no I was that as she was talking I just thought like man she knows what it feels like to be protective of your grandad to know like our whole family everybody had their their flaws and their battles and stuff but she's still protective and loves them and I feel like man we we get that you know yeah and her for her to continue in that wrestling world to still be in that world M I just I can't imagine still Pur uing a sport like that without you know sad wrestled with daddy or you know I don't know I just can't imagine still being in that sport it feels like it would be almost heartbreaking but my sister did it and and it was good therapy for her that's what I always feel like that about my dad like it was just him and his brothers and inside jokes and like they all went into wrestling kind of like eh if you'll do it I'll do it kind of just right and then to not have that to actually turning into something that only PID the bills and there was no joy really in it for him like man I know and he said they had he's told stories before like like Uncle krie wrote you know hey Kev on like a turnbuckle and like oh no yes just stuff like that you know man I thought that that in itself must have been such a a hard a hard you know thing to continue so I get what you're but it's it's it's beautiful that she took that thing and she just continued it and thought I'm not going to let that have control I'm going to yeah continue to do this and take the joy out of it what's kind of cool that I heard was that and this is a different side of Vince McMahon than I've actually thought of him as but I have a little more respect now because she had said that he was like that Vince was like a father figure to her actually a lot of people said that actually yes and so that actually changes my view of him because he was actually really there for her and made that easier on her to be in that business so he was a boss and like an extended like a family member which is really cool so you know I'm I'm not not gonna praise praise the guy but I think it a very tough situation to be in somebody like Vince's shoes and I would say the same thing with your grandfather you're the boss you're the one that pays the paycheck there's always GNA be somebody that thinks they should have been higher up on card they should have been paid more money you have to fire people at times so that person's going to get a lot of heat and with the WWE being around you know 50 years and then he he got it from his dad right I'm sure in that amount of time he's got his uh a big number of haters yes you don't have to think they're great guys you don't have to to say you know they never made a mistake but it's good to have find ways to have some empathy for these people that are in situations we haven't been in so many people relying on them people being ready to hate you and it's just so easy to make enemies you know as a promoter even um yeah so I mean yeah there's a lot to consider whenever you're forming an opinion on on some of the people in those positions for sure yeah and I don't think those type of people get enough credit not talking about Vince McMahon specifically no yeah but you know a lot of times you know you see the show you see the talent they're the ones that are you know pulling this off at the same time without that promoter to uh put their money on the line to get that all the logistics going to promote stuff that really is the Master of Puppets behind the stream that makes something like that go and for him to keep that monster rolling as long as he has yes I mean that is a gigantic which it's it's crazy to even think about this but Vince no longer owns WWE I know yeah yeah yeah you know I never would have thought I would have heard yeah I know I was surprised by that too but I mean like sounds like sounds like Triple H is doing it doing a great job job yeah I know he's letting people go on podcast yeah that was awesome I again thank you ww I'd love to talk to Triple H to tell you what's got my mind swirling right now is when she was talking about Brett sending her that long message about the history of Stuart and tritz von Eric Bret har please I want to hear this um sounds like he knows it really well do you do you girls have any idea uh or any knowledge of why Fritz was up in that Canada area at that time he went to go play football up there yeah he played um he played for uh the American Football League um for some team I think in New York or something but he ended up they ended up in Niagara Falls uh because he switched to the Canadian Football League after he lost his contract or whatever and so he was playing football and got hurt or wasn't really making money or got cut maybe and then yeah ran into somehow to somebody introduced him maybe to I think one of his coaches to to Stuart and then that's how they he got into wrestling and yeah they Stuart trained a lot of like super cool people yeah live with them it's crazy and that's where they live when Uncle Jackie passed away was Niagara Falls and that's when he was wrestling for First St oh so that that happened to Jackie in in Canada yeah well in Niagara Falls yeah Niagara Falls I gotta I'm about to lose my battery guys yeah guys uh I appreciate everybody for showing up girls really quick before we get out of here you know I hate that one got announced so late uh and but I'm going to get better at making sure that those get out there to you we have a heck of a schedule coming up can y'all can we give a little insight into who's coming up this month so everybody knows when to tune in oh Lord above you have it on your calendar my my calendar is speaking of Davey Boy Smith and the hearts we'll have Georgia um who her dad is Davey Boy Smith the British Bulldog the British Bulldog which is a really exciting one and then we have somebody he's not we can't have our Granddad on the show but we can have the guy that played our Granddad in the iron claw I'm so excited about that will join us so excited to interview he is such a cool guy and totally he played Granddad like he played Granddad that was the character he was given but he has been so defensive of Granddad yep um it publicly like more than anybody yeah he really I me when I saw that interview it blew my mind no yeah and he he had to you know look him up he had to like find out everything he could about him so oh that that man is a researcher I mean he gets into that character he becomes the character so yes yes I can't I can't wait we have Kim Holly do you wanna or Eric do you w to say we have Kim laurenitis oh yes that was the wife of Road Warrior animal I'm really looking forward you know uh I've actually been talking talking a good bit with her in um you know back and forth email she is so sweet and just like she's struggling because it was around this time of year when animal passed away and like the way that happened on her it was in the middle of nowhere guys like there was no time and she's really struggling with it and wants to come on here and share with everybody but I know me as a as a child the Road Warriors that was my team so I'm looking that that'll be so fun I'm excited about that too yeah about that I'm pretty wasn't it the RO Warriers who stole my pizza when I was visiting daddy at the I'm pretty sure they were the ones that at all I think you're gonna have to confront Kim and ask her if if she heard about that I'm gonna tell you back then if if those guys came up and took my slice of pizza I'd say man I hope it's delicious take it that was some intimidating guys I told on them I don't know what yeah thing about your granddad making you feel like the most important person in the world is when a really important wrestler does something you think that annoys you you can you think like well he's got to get fired you know I wanted that exactly or daddy go beat him up yeah we had a war sense of uh you know importance for sure a little bit just because we were really loved which is great but we got another exciting show coming up this Thursday guys I can't wait for you to meet him he is a buddy of mine uh Mr way Jennings he is the grandson of country music legend Wayan Jennings he is doing a tour right now to raise awareness about drug addiction and Fentanyl and everything and he just song I think you guys are gonna be very touched by hearing from way I can't wait yeah I can't wait I might ask him to seeing all of his responses to our questions yeah uh also really quick before we get out of here again we have a new sponsor AA Wellness that is been using their stuff what do you think har so as a dental hygienist for what how long I I've been in dentistry for like 12 years yeah I am very particular about products but as a mother I have become really concerned about additives and and things that are not healthy for us so I love that oral Wellness is it's it's free of the sodium Laural sulfate all of the yeah all of the chemicals it's free of all of that um I still Feltes works yeah I still felt fresh yep it still works now it's it's free of fluoride so if you do have big cavity issues I'm still a proponent of fluoride but if you're if you don't have those severe C issues with cavities then yeah otherwise um I think it's Fant fantastic I enjoyed it I using the whole program because a whole kit when you order it you get a whole kit so everything you need to take care of your mouth is in that kit so yeah it balances the all the bacteria in your mouth and what was crazy to me my mouth has never felt so clean that's why I've been smiling so much in this episode yeah it still felt it felt super clean I ran and banged on Ross's door and I'm like you need to use this stuff right now my mouth felt so squeaky clean Ross was like dropping what he was doing like okay okay like he didn't want brush my teeth well I will tell you this I I'm I'm selling it guys but I'm just gonna tell you Nick said it tasted like he ate a Christmas candle so I mean do you like eat if you like Christmas candles no because it has clove and a bunch of other things that are naturally uh anti that help with like antibacterial so um definitely for it but Nick did say it tasted like eating a a Christmas candle I don't know why he's been eating Christmas candles yeah how would he know what a weirdo but uh I want to say thank you to that company and guys please get out there and support the ones that support us uh they got a great product I think you'll enjoy it also check out the Von eric.com Kristen has got a ton of merch on there we also have the von Eric Ranch the how many airbnbs do you have wedding venue wedding venue yeah a venue so it's like any event uh reunion business corporate kind of meetings um birthdays whatever it's it's perfect for that it really is and it's out in the country but it's just so pretty inside it doesn't feel like a barn it feels like beautiful it does it's very beautiful and one more shout out because I went to the chiropractor the other day and I found the
