Thanks Amber. Taking a live look. Now at the consumer energy outage map, you can see most of the outages in West Michigan are in Ionia Mount. Calm in Kent counties. More than 25,000 homes are out of power there. 130,000 in the dark statewide building area schools, just one of the places without power. There is no school there for students today. Consumers energy says it has hundreds of crews working to restore power. Many of those of course were in the city of Rockford where they've made major progress. That is exactly where we find 39 your sides. Erin Sullivan live for us this morning, Aaron, what are you seeing out there? Well, it's really dark so we're not seeing a lot, but that's a good thing because that means that crews were quickly cleaning up the damage that the storm made yesterday, down power lines, trees on houses. And today we're seeing a lot of that damage was cleaned up, a lot of branches in the street and on the side of the street waiting to be picked up and out of the way so these people can just get back to their normal daily routines. But, yeah, dispatch tells us in Kent County that there were 40 reports of wires down and several trees, many of those covering roadways and at least one falling on a home yesterday, one West Michigan woman we spoke to saw the tree fall just moments after she came home from work. All of a sudden the skies just turned really dark and I, um, came running up here to check it out. Um, and just kind of watch as things were kind of flying through the air. And then I heard the cracking of the tree and I turned and watched as the wires just got pulled right out of my sister's house right next door. Luckily, no one was hurt by that fallen tree and residents tell us they're grateful for emergency crews that were there and responding quickly to that scene. Now, consumers energy is restoring power to this neighborhood. And luckily we're here now, lights are on. So those linemen were at work all night. And luckily, you know, lights are on, it seems like things are pretty much back to normal. But if you do happen to see a fallen power line, fallen tree, anything like that, keep your distance. Call 911 to report that. But like I said, we are here in Rockford. It's pretty dark out, but we're not seeing that damage that we saw in those videos from last night for now, live in Rockford. I'm Aaron Sullivan 13 on your side.
