hey what's happening everybody Ford Motor Company is recalling Select 2021 and 2022 Ford Bronco Ford F-150 Ford Edge Ford Explorer Lincoln Nautilus and Lincoln Aviator Vehicles equipped with the Ford V6 EcoBoost engines over faulty intake valves the national highway traffic safety administration previously opened an investigation into this matter which it proceeded to expand in October of 2023 so basically here's the defect in affected Vehicles the engine intake valves may break while driving which can result in engine failure and a loss of Drive power the hazards a loss of Drive power increases the risk of a crash Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this issue as of yet now the components involved are the engine intake valves affected vehicles are select 20 2021 2022 Bronco F-150 Edge Explorer NIS and Aviator Vehicles equipped with either the twin turbo 2.7 L V6 Ecoboost or the 3. L V6 ecoboost engine this applies to the Bronco and the F-150 models produced between May 1st 2021 and October 30th 2021 Edge and naus crossovers built between May 10th 2021 and October 29th 2021 and Explorer or a Aviator models produced from June 7th 2021 on October 31st 2021 the number of vehicles affected 9,736 all right the fix dealers will perform an engine cycle test and replace the engine as as necessary free of charge which is pretty hardcore right all right so what should owners do wait for communications from Ford I never wait if I know something like this is happening and I have the vehicle boom I'm contacting people myself I'm making the phone calls all right anyway wait for communications from Ford which will begin on October 7th 2024 the Ford reference number for this recall is 24 s55 also here are some contacts I'm want to put on the screen right here you can contact Ford customer service so on and so forth if you want to pause the video and go ahead and see that right there all right everybody thank all of you for watching and I will catch all of you on the next one and by the way stay safe take these recalls serious get your vehicles fixed no matter what keep the maintenance up and just be safe out there on the road people all right take care
