Arkansas Football Live Stream: Why SAM PITTMAN should sit starters vs UAPB! + WU PIG PODCAST joins!

Intro let's freaking go Arkansas fans I'm looking at you in the face I want this message to get to Sam Pitman okay I have met Sam Pitman before only once and look I respect Sam Pitman I want him to do well I want Arkansas football to grow this year but I want him to listen very closely to me because I truly do believe this strategy and I mentioned it in my last Arkansas practice film study last week Wednesday that he should really do this all right I have been thinking about this for a while now I believe he should sit his best players versus uapb okay and I have a lot of reasons as to why I am for his starters playing the first quarter but even then I am questioning that decision okay I want to show you the stat really quickly from Andrew Hutchinson all right NWA Hutch I have known Hutch for years I still believe this I truly do believe it he is my favorite beat writer on the Arkansas beat now I love Trey biddy I love so many different writers uh Eric Bolan I love a lot of people in Arkansas media I think John neighbors is great so on and so on and in a moment wo Pig podcast will join us my guy Oliver so make sure you're tuning in uapb Arkansas's first opponent checks in at number 126 out of 129 FCS teams ahead of two teams in the league that doesn't offer athletic scholarships okay and a team making the jump from D2 to FCS this year now what does this mean well uapb is not a power five team okay they are a division lower now I love uapb I have a lot of friends that went there played there and this is no disrespect to them but they are terrible according to Bill Connelly of ESPN number 126 out of 129 now I want to show you another stat I do not know uh this individual but this is a very important stat it's somewhere down here Jack Allen they have added 50 new players since the spring game so the first thing about this is and and feel free to Will Arkansas win disagree with me in the comments is that Arkansas is going to win this game they are going to blow the breaks off of uapb Malachi Singleton could start honestly KJ Jackson could start your third team could start and you're going to win this game by at least 21 points so this is a game that is the easiest game that any team of the SEC will play this year year uapb is probably a bottom three team on any SEC schedule you are going to win this game now I understand the thought process of getting a run through and getting some rhythm going for your starters okay I totally get that as you get ready for Oklahoma State I also believe Bobby patrino will have the most vanilla playbook in the history of college football because you know Arkansas season really really balances on that Oklahoma State game in in a week two so I'm not worried about Bobby giving away anything what I am worried about are injuries I am very worried about injuries all right so let me pull up the schedule and I'll let you take a look at this for yourself and I'm going to let you come to your own conclusion all right do you believe that Games should still be Should games still be played in Little Rock played at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock All Right this has been an ageold debate should games still be played in Little Rock and it's a debate that's had every single year it is interesting because Arkansas is the only show in town and the Little Rock game greatly benefits me I played football in South Arkansas I grew up in South Arkansas so my friends and and and and extended family members I don't have any really other family ins South Arkansas outs out of you know my immediate it's easier for them to get to a game it's far more affordable to go to a game in L Rock it's far more affordable for people in Little Rock to go to games in Little Rock okay and look that is a great thing and I would like the L Rock tradition to continue but Arkansas loses money by playing the game in lck right it's the travel ticket sales it's a weird dichotomy so it's a debate that you can have for years upon years upon years upon years all War Memorial Stadium Turf right the issue with playing the game in Little Rock is the turf all right anyone that knows anything about Arkansas football knows that war memorial stadium is not up to date I love War Memorial Stadium love it I have seen myam moer win high school state championships on that Turf all right I I I love it I love it I've been to many of events at War Memorial Stadium that Turf is brutal it is absolutely brutal okay it is still seared in my brain watching uh a high school player the last time I watched a game in Little Rock terra's ACL I think there was actually two really serious injuries Turf is brutal on lower body injuries and there are a lot of people on this Arkansas roster that has a history of lower body injuries a guy like jaquinden Jackson so what happened last year in the game versus war memorial well archit looked really good judging by the first touchdown of the game Jaden Wilson looked like the second coming of Jamar Chase which ended up being his only catch I believe over 20 yards on the season but what happened in that game well you remember rocket Sanders got hurt okay rocket Sanders got hurt and when rocket Sanders got hurt especially with the scheme that you were trying to run last year with Dan Enos your season was done your season was cooked Now Rocket came back and he ended up playing mighty fine but you were cooked you didn't really have a backup running back that came close to his level of talent and you knew that going into the season the year before that rocket Sanders was by far the best running back and there was a drop off to AJ Green Rashad deignan that happened the year before so guess what happened last year there was a huge drop off from rocket Sanders to AJ Green Rashad deignan now the blocking wasn't the best the play calling wasn't the best but when rocket Sanders got hurt last year you were cooked that was a game that you were going to win without rocket Sanders you you were still going to blow out Western Carolina or whoever the hell it was without rocket Sanders you're going to do the same thing versus uapb without jquan Jackson who has a very checkered history with injuries he is to me all right I know lucaz is great he's also coming off an injury why would you risk lucaz landing on his shoulder on that brutal Little Rock Turf don't play him get Tai Washington VAR scums all the Reps why would you risk jindon Jackson who is really good jindon Jackson to me is the best player on this team that's how good I think he is that's how good his tape is very checkered injury history and he's played through it valiantly okay so if I got up 14 to zero you might keep ton Green in to to to get up to 21 to zero I'm pulling everyone I'm pulling Landon Jackson I'm pulling Hudson Clark I am not risking it all right you can't go practice on the Little Rock Turf now Arkansas might have I I I might I might not know they might have gone in there and practiced on it I am not not risking injuries to my best players in a game versus the 126th rank FCS team there might be like for instance and and this going to sound like nasty hyperbole Harding Harding would be probably 10-point favorites versus uapb sa has probably given him a game I'm a big fan of GAC football it's big in Arkansas so uapb with 50 new players a three in N football team last year three and nine do you really want to risk any type of injury on the Little Rock Turf where your season ended with rocket Sanders got hurt it's not worth it it's it's honestly not worth it the more I think about it Arkansas is a thin team you lose J quinon Jackson Good Luck Good Luck because he's going to be good he's going to be really good this year for you guys he's gonna be really good Lucas is going to be really good why why risk it so let me know what you guys think I know it's bold I know it's very very bold but I would seriously consider it the goal is not to beat uapb for Arkansas this season for you to go six and six you need your best players healthy okay and obviously on a team like Arkansas your proven guys that have proven power five production so lcas he is proven to be a highlevel performer at the power five level J quendon Jackson has proven to be a high uh producer at the power five level Andrew Armstrong caught 56 passes he can play at the power five level Landon Jackson xaven Sor guys that you know are going to be good that have outside NFL draft chances those are the guys those are the guys I am not risking in this game all right so let me know you're in trouble up ront let's go to Sean I know memories and Nostalgia matters but the stadium is a dump the university is losing money it's ridiculous to play there it's embarrassing get out of Little Rock games in my opinion this is where I would push back okay yeah you're losing money uh you are right about it um here's my thing if you're gonna play the game in Little Rock you can't you can't message wise you can't just put the weakest team on the schedule every year versus Little Rock I don't think you can do that all right uh I think it's too much of a like mental message telling people yeah we still care about Little Rock here is the worst game of the season right especially with the people that truly care about the Little Rock game which is the older population they grew up going to the LSU game in Little Rock right and that game me a lot to me that game me a lot to me as a LSU fan who grew up in South arkans I love going to that game my dad and I was our favorite game and my dad and I go to a lot of big games and a lot of LSU fans like the trip to Little Rock fville is better though fville is better the the problem though with the money thing is like you know when I think of the litter Rock game let's let's let's share the the like the political and economic side of it right Arkansas is the only show in town and you have Market domination of the entire State Little Rock the biggest sports team in L rock is Arkansas it is the biggest sports team by far and it is a metropolis it does make it more affordable for fans to go there and when you really think about it who are who are some influencers that have really added to the Arkansas football program well when it comes to Arkansas media and just reality David basil I think about David basil in the Little Rock game is a guy who does radio every single day I like bass I know bass and all he does every single morning on his show is promote Arkansas okay when you really think about it he started the braws award and one this is really unique now there are other touchdown clubs throughout and I'm getting no by the way I'm getting no money uh from bass to say this but every year he brings a-listers to the state of Arkansas to speak to everyone a-listers all right L rock is a very powerful City in the grand scheme of things when you really think about it so you have a lot of DieHard Arkansas fans that don't have the money to go to go to fade and play the games and you also have morning radio fans everywhere they don't give a damn about the Trojans they got they got their own college team they got their own college team okay so it's it's hard for me to get there I do think though you need to have a little bit of a better game to be played in L Rock Arkansas Basketball Game okay so Sean I mean that that's the thing man that's the thing it's it's tough It's really really really tough you know I here here here's here's what I would do Sean here's what I would do okay if we were going to try to amend this all right let's just say we take the football game out of Little Rock one thing that I would do though is add a basketball game all right the annual Little Rock basketball game is huge what I would tell the fans of L rock is hey it doesn't make sense for us to play football here but you do have a really nice basketball arena we're going to give you three Arkansas basketball games every year and we're even going to include a conference game in that that way everyone wins everyone wins okay and then you can also play an Arkansas baseball game which I think they do already but add a few extra baseball games in Little Rock and that could make up for it so there's ways around it um I understand it's not quite the same as a football game but if the Arkansas brat is not willing to give up uh you know or not willing to give L Rock a better football game then you might as freaking well you might as freaking well just um just give Arkansas uh uh G give the the people L Rock two more basketball games two more baseball games even if it's just an exhibition okay I I think I think that would add a lot what what what do what do you guys think all right a few more before we get to our guests I think Arkansas State in lck next year makes sense so I have spoken to a lot of boosters on their thoughts about playing Arkansas state every year I I just don't see the side in it I I just don't from Arkansas's vantage point right like I could see let's just say you played Arkansas State and you lost I could see a lot of Arkansas fans saying F you guys were Arkansas State fans I don't think that would actually happen but I just don't see really the upside of them doing that or it could just be me now coming up we'll talk to one of the fastest support the Razorbacks they're going to go to fville I mean let's let's just be honest the games are better in fville the atmosphere is better in fville why not move all the games to fville it's a it's a extra game that you can recruit bring bring recruits on the hill and say hey come to this game because they're not going to bring recruits to Little Rock so I I see it from that that vantage point now I also see it from the vantage point of people who live in South Arkansas and in central Arkansas they get to drive to Little Rock to see the Hogs play the problem with the games that they schedule in Arkansas in Little Rock it's a game nobody really cares to see I mean uapb is it's a practice let's just be honest even if it was UCA or ASU it's a practice or whoever that they're going to bring it's just a glorified practice game back when they actually had games at War Memorial Stadium like LSU I'm sorry to bring up your your Tigers no no no no no I mean those games were legendary man they were always good yeah so if you're gonna play a game in Little Rock make it meaningful don't just give us some SLO leftover game that yeah let's give it to Little Rock we we'll play you know UCF or even though that will be a good game but I'm just saying well no no yeah yeah I get what you're saying yeah just some random team Alabama Alabama A&M or Missouri State whoever make it meaningful for people to come out and watch because you're going to put UAB uapb on the schedule and it's not going to sell out so it it makes it makes Central Arkansas look bad because nobody wants to pay their hard earned money to go see a practice I do I think I think that what I said before would be a fair concession just add an extra basketball game and a few extra baseball games I I'm kind of shocked that Arkansas doesn't play more games in basketball games in Little Rock because you know per capita Little Rock produces more basketball Talent than anyone I mean like like I'm not I'm not that's not hyperb I mean they they they produce what high schools produced an NBA player three straight years that's right is that right yeah we we got some great guys coming out of Little Rock for the basketball this year oh really there's there's more yeah we uh I think matter of fact we just um added um Sean Sean Alex no Sean what is his name he used to play for the on the football team Andrews one of the Andrews keep uh Sons will be playing basketball for Cal Perry he's number one recruit in the uh in Arkansas so he's going to be playing on the hill he's right there in Little Rock so that Central Arkansas when it comes to basketball hey they produce some Talent they producing talent I mean it's a lot of guys coming out of right outside of Central Arkansas so Ty brings up an interesting point wait the foot wait this is the football game 250 for four tickets for the football game what no uhuh uhuh no hold on just a second hold on just a second I'm stub hubbing the hell out of this right now two for for uapb what I don't know I didn't have to pay for my ticket to go to UAP game so I don't know but you're yeah that's the thing you are going hold on how can I pull this up Arkansas football schedule I'm I'm looking on StubHub right now God Arkansas wait there's no way okay here we go we're going to see tickets no it's it's not it's not it's not that actually it might be hold on look at okay we're doing this right now all right I might buy four and give them to you right now I wish I had it like that I guess so after fees okay look all right let's go to here $37 okay now we want four tickets uh what What's been your biggest takeaway this fall in Fall practice uh my biggest takeaway is that there are so many questions that have not been answered um and I don't know what to think about the team that we're actually getting ready to put on the field I I I don't I'm I'm nervous man I'm not going to lie to you I'm nervous about the product that we're putting on the field for me it's a whole bunch of question marks uh and I try to be optimistic but when I look at the fact that Bobby is going to be in his first year as the offensive coordinator I don't think that we've given him enough time to to build what he needs to to be successful and we're expecting Bobby to just to come in and and and write the ship right away and I understand they say we got a a really good team and I think we got I think we got some pieces but I don't know if we have a really good team um and I think the whole thing is going to hinge on the offensive line if the offensive line is better and I don't know if we actually did get better because we added really just two two pieces maybe three I don't think it's no we added four Addison out of Tennessee Carona um Blackstock um ctis is hurt I don't know if he'll be back I'm pretty sure he will right and then we got a question mark at right um at Right Guard so the offensive line is big question because three of the guys we really hadn't seen played in real life football we don't know if they're actually even good there was an issue with one of the linemen in situations that was going on with him so he missed some time not very much but still the offensive line is a question mark and I know I picked the Hogs to win seven games but man I ain't confident in the seven games GES I'm just not okay so I went to the website all right and I I got the four cheapest tickets okay for 37 a piece all right try and guess the price after fees and all of it see four 160 um yeah man 160 plus fees uh I'm going to say 280 he's right 218 you're close but 218 is is Hefty that's still Hefty yeah it's right over 50 bucks a game I can say it's not it's not horrible it's it's not horrible but it goes back to your point like if I if I'm being told by the administration hey you don't matter as much because we're giving you the same same game we gave you last last year but if you want to see us 218 for a forhe header and then you got a factor and parking as so it's act in an extra 10 concessions food all that stuff you're looking at what roughly $300 minimum just depending on how close you live to Little Rock yeah would you yeah parking parking traffic yeah food and and you got to feed all your kid yeah it's probably about 3 350 for a trip for a game that's going to be over after the first quarter right let's go to B if the o line could decently block we go seven wins minimum Oliver I I picked the Hogs to win seven games I I really did but honestly it Schedule was it was just me being a hog fan man when I really look at that schedule uapb that's a win oh Oklahoma State I think they pick to win Big 12 yeah if we if we can win that game and then we can beat UAB that's three and 0 okay and then we got Auburn right Auburn we owed him and and I'm I'm just saying we owe him I'm Hugh freeze is he nice man I ain't going even everywhere he's went he's won and um it's going to be hard for us to beat Auburn and I think we're hold up where we playing at that's uh at Auburn that's at Auburn and Auburn has New Mexico the week before I was hoping they had a tough game the week before so little bit yeah so that's gonna be rough man I'm I mean you looking at Auburn A&M I hate A&M I don't know if they going to be good but it's going it's going to be hard to beat them but I'm going to say we we 4- one right there I think we'll lose to Auburn I think we'll beat A&M Tennessee at Arkansas Tennessee is gonna be good this year all right let's see let's see who they play the week before Tennessee has a biwe before can lose that game and still get into the playoff okay Arkansas will be coming off a by week and look is Steve sarkeesian a better Coach than Sam Pitman he is but Sam got in his head in 2021 Sark crumbled caught a horrible game all right Sam has been very public about Texas being a game that matters a lot to him you saw what he said media days Sark can get in his own head especially playing against someone that that's not on the same level as Texas so my bold opinion all right is as crazy as I was a minute ago at the Arkansas LSU and the Arkansas Texas game Arkansas wins one of those games that is my bold Arkansas opinion they'll have the bye and Arkansas has one major advantage in that game they care more about that game than their opponent and it's not even close Okay and Oliver you know this yeah you ask the old guard do you care more about beating LSU or you care more about beating Texas a lot of old folks will tell you Texas yeah that swc stuff matters a lot to a lot of Arkansas fans here so Arkansas they'll they'll beat LSU or they'll beat Texas obviously I'm not going to pick them beating LSU Arkansas beats Texas this year mark it down write it down tell the presses tell Wally Hall tell them to write it I ain't I'm not picking that one I'm not I'm I don't think we'll beat Texas but I think we win the week after which gives us seven wins okay one more thing that I love about Kenneth Dixon this okay so you you beat Louisiana Tech yes the fighting Terry bradshaws the fighting Kenneth Dixons that's that's a that's a South Arkansas legend for you actually got his card right here I'm a big Kenneth Dixon F uh Kenneth Dixon I don't even know who that is okay so have you ever heard of strong Arkansas no okay it's a small town and Union County oh no I do know where strong is yes I do know where it's at so Kenneth Dixon is the probably the best football player to ever come out of Union County he's definitely up there and I'm a Kenneth Dixon collector and he played at Louisiana Tech and Arkansas didn't recruit him now full disclosure Arkansas had Alex Collins at the time so and Jonathan Williams so they didn't need running backs so still there was a lot of fans in South Arkansas that was pissed that kenned Dixon didn't go there and for for good reason he was a stud he played Lamar Jackson as well and then was good uh Missouri game let's hear it um I think the same way you you mentioned that starian is in his head when it comes to Sam Pitman I think the same thing s that drink of witch is in St pitman's head yeah it it feels like uh when we play Missouri I feel like we are the water boys team it's it's like he it's like he's red and he got Sam pman paid Playbook because it's he just play terrible when they play Tennessee I didn't expect that I did not expect that I mean we play Missouri excuse me so I don't think we GNA beat Missouri I just I just feel like yeah I can't even remember the last the last time we beat Missouri was like KJ's first start and before that I don't remember us beating them and they've beat us ever since and yeah it's just it's it's a one-sided manufactured rivalry right now yeah like drinks in Arkansas's head one thing one thing I like about Eli drinkwitz is he if you like he he really hates Arkansas like he wouldn't he ran that [ __ ] up yesterday last year yeah he he wanted to beat the dog crap out of Arkansas uh there's a lot of history there uh something I won't get into because I I know some friends of aot drink woods and they told me some stuff about that uh and of course he he he loves Northwest Arkansas just hates the Arkansas program so does he hate the Arkansas program because they didn't hire him cuz he's from Arkansas right yeah you it's just one of those things like he has you know and and look it's it's kind of the way that Eliah drinkwitz looks at Arkansas is the way that Aman rosin Brown looks at every wide receiver that was drafted ahead of him he hates them and they he hold like that animosity fuels him right I'm I'm a very forgiving person but uh still uh the one thing I like about the uh Missouri game is let's just say Arkansas's at five wins okay that becomes a must-win game for them okay yeah and let's just say for some reason Missouri is 10 and one right they lose that game they still get in the playoff 10 and one is very real for Missouri schedule I know it's tiny on the screen but Missouri's got the easiest schedule in the SEC this year by far H so I could see them being 10 and one going into the Arkansas game but that game becomes more of a must-win for them because they'll be in that nine and2 range uh so so they need to win that game to get to the playoff uh potentially in that 9 and two range yeah biggest uh Arkansas player on this team that is a sleeper all right a guy that you think is way undervalued going into next year um under value I'm going to go with Larry worth the linebacker we got out of um Jacksonville State yeah or just Jacksonville I can't remember it's a state on that I think he's the I think you'll see him all over the field on the defense number 30 uh I don't know what number he's gonna be wearing this year but I watched him play at Jacksonville and I was impressed I didn't know who he was and when we got him I'm like I Isaiah Tesla remember watching this guy and he was lining up at linebacker he was lining up at defensive end and he was all over the place and I was like this guy's gonna be nice he he's on the thin side but he runs fast yeah and I think he is going to be one of those guys they going be like who is this who is this guy um can I give can I give W on the offensive side yeah no give as many as you want man this is this is this is your time by the way go and a Gustav yep I know I'm overhyped him but I think jaquin and Jackson's really good I do too I think he's really good yeah he he's ran over a couple of guys in Running Backs practice um and it if he can stay healthy if those ankles can stay healthy he's GNA be special and um I don't think he has to take all the the carries because we still got deignan uh I'm not the biggest deignan fan but me neither I I think we got a nice guy behind him so if if theion doesn't play well we can always throw um throw him in the game and get some good runs I I don't I'm kind of leery of his pass Pro uh because I I seen him get I seen him getting really knocked over in practice they didn't show the clip but um I don't know if he can block but the Bion hopefully his his blocking has improved because he had some times last year where we was like what is he doing um bad so yeah I'm definitely looking forward to um to this year and those are my two guys on one on offense one on defense and Armstrong uh he going to have a I I feel like he going to have a thousand yard year yeah I so the the these are my takes all right coming from Arkansas not an Arkansas fan what I see objectively on film okay I think jaquin and Jackson is so much better than all the other running backs I do I also think Armstong we we'll see how how do you feel about um uh five uh Broden um on paper he looks phenomenal he's 67 he runs fast you know with the little 22 miles an hour thing that they talk about yeah um he catches every just about everything in his vicinity uh but we haven't seen it we haven't seen him do what we see him doing in practice uh and it could have been just last year's right uh he was new he probably didn't know the offense the offense wasn't efficient it wasn't good maybe this year he'll have a chance to show what he can actually do uh but from what I'm hearing he's probably the most improved guy on the team um so we shall see I I like licas I I know uh you know I I've been calling for more 12 personel so two tight end sets um Ty Washington's good too I think Ty I think Ty Washington will make an NFL roster on his career is over and I know gums is very inconsistent in practice but he's got he's got chops as well um so how do you feel about the tight end room I mean I I there I mean I would say LSU's rooms better Georgia might be but Arkansas's room is has got to be top five in the secc maybe the best yeah I I think we have three of the top guys in the SEC I I would put us easy top three not even top five I think we got our first three guys can start for just about anybody in the SEC so the tight end room is phenomenal Tight Ends um it's going to be hard to even fathom keeping all those guys with the way the portal system works but um yeah I I I would I don't care who they put out there I think we'll be fine no matter who is out there as a tight as the tight end um so yeah they got two tight ends in the game at the same time which I'm pretty sure we're g to see a lot of that I think uh we'll we'll give off defenses a run for that money I think we we got to lean on J quendon Jackson and hey the fast game get the ball out of out of our quarterback's hands don't let them sit back there burping the baby and I think we'll be fine a lot of re read option I think if we can do a lot of read option hold that backside Defender and when he when jinon is you know gashing him he'll crash and and then I got gets he gets gone for 35 yards down the field cuz if he if that the end is peing hey this lights out that boy way too fast so Mont Monty Harrison um he's had some some good moments in practice um and I don't know if he will contribute they said he was uh but they say he's a little rusty but I think once he knocks off the rust I mean you know you 29 years old you're playing with 2018 19 year olds you should be able to beast mode those guys you should be able to so for reference Calvin Ridley is 29 right uh Frank ragnell was class of 2014 and that was Monty Harrison Frank rag now is halfway through a Hall of Fame NFL career right so uh you would like you would like to think that he would dominate so he he played baseball for those that don't know and came back and uh it's interesting to to take a flyer uh you know I've grown on Arkansas's defensive line room I I have I think I think ball is a bonified sec player I just think he's good now is he gonna be Glen dorsy or inatsu no but he's good he's pretty solid and you know what the Arkansas's had great defensive tackles you know Arman Watts was was really good player so I like ball DAV has had some moments uh in Spring and L Jackson uh what's your opinion on uh Anton uh I like his energy U I think that if we can get him in the game on third Downs I think he can close it out um I I I really want to see him go up against SEC competition um and I'm just going off tape I'll be honest with you I don't he looks phenomenal against lower level competition but when he's going up against a sec right tackle what is it what is it really going to look like and if he's 70% of what he did on the lower level I'll take it because that means you can't double Landon Jackson but sometimes I feel like Landon Jackson doubles himself because he doesn't play up to his potential yeah I agree and I I love Landon uh you know he was once an LSU Tiger and then he went to the dark side uh but but he he does block himself like last year if you watched him versus Alabama the Alabama game you would think he's freaking like Reggie White like that game was just so freaking insane you need more of that right absolutely uh I think Xavian story's good I do uh I do worry about the other linebacker Sor has had some really good practices I did have someone I really really trust who's at practice every single day say that Sor is is uh it's gotten better keeps getting better and better how do you feel about him um it's not to me it's not enough tap on sory it's not it's just out of high school yeah they said LBs he was this and that but for me it's just not enough tape to say he is going to be good or not um it it's one of those question marks for me the linebacker room and as a whole to me is a question mark I like the pieces but will it all work I don't know in I know the they said that that's probably one of the deepest spots on the team uh maybe it is because you got so many of them cuz you just been trying to grab linebackers from everywhere you could but I don't know if they're actually going to be uh who they need to be um I I I don't like speaking on things that like I'm not an expert in at all and I don't know how privy you are to to this information but uh your thoughts on the um what was it the sarason versus oaklan uh nil stuff yeah that's uh definitely not my cup of tea I I have no idea what's going on with that um I I'm not an ni nil person I I don't even look at it as a matter of fact we were talking about that the other day uh as a team and we was both we were all like man let's just stay away from stuff we don't know much about right so yeah I I'll I'll say something about it um you it's funny because you know I cover LSU uh it's it's been my main thing power R LSU and then power R SEC has blown up and power NFL has done really well actually know more boosters at Arkansas than I do at LSU okay now I know quite a few at LSU it's just I have a lot of buddies that that have been successful in feville and and and Little Rock okay and I I've gotten it explained to me a few times about what all went down with that but it seems like it's been smoothed over uh at least that's how I understand it so my thing is this with with the nil stuff before I share that this is what you need to do y'all go follow wo pig bang give him a follow on Arkansas it's not close it's not close right so you if you have alignment and you get people on board you have the chance to get the best of the best if you pay the highest some will come not all competing against for so long so I I felt some type of way that we hired the guy that we've been competing against for so long I'm just like why I I don't want to I don't want to join you I want to beat you that's just how I'm that's just how I'm built I don't want to join I want to beat you and I felt like it's almost like we cheated our way to this but when I sat back and I thought about it I'm just like this was phenomenal politic in the way they did this um and bringing Coach Cal to to to the hill and I'm like I started thinking about all the recruits that we're going to get all the wins we're going to get all the possibilities all the the hype and I was like yo this is going to be great and I'mma embrace the fact that we will be the Public Enemy Number One in college in college to my account and I'm like man people are really upset about this and I've been going on with life I stopped looking at Twitter I remember seeing hit the portal because look I I know my analysis can be very brutally honest and understand I am just calling it like I see it I want every college football or basketball or whatever player to succeed division one power five College athletics is hard as hell it's hard as hell and one way you can see this is just go to your local J watch those guys and then go to a division one power five game and you will see that there is a clear difference right the guys at at your local Jo they might they might run 48s and and and be more athletic than you the guys at the dividual on power five schools run four fivs and they're 6 fo Three 6 6' five 6'6 it's hard it's really hard so when I when I'm honest understand that yes I'm not as athletic as those guys yes I didn't play division one power five football none of it's personal none of it's personal okay and then and I'm sure I'm sure it's the same for you as well yeah it's not personal it's just I mean our whole thing is talking about sports from our perspective and right from the barber shop perspective this is the conversations that happened in the barber shop out we understand we're not if we played Joseph ping in real life he would walk the dog on me yeah would even you you wouldn't it's not that it wouldn't be close it's that you would not be able to get a shot off if he was playing hard right if you lined up against uh Carmona or whatever you wouldn't get close to the quarterback right he could trip and you wouldn't get close I'm a pass rusher I had a bunch of sacks in high school I wouldn't get close I wouldn't get close so we respect those guys and and acknowledge that yeah but part of being critical on here especially since we're independent um as well is we owe it to you we owe it to the viewer to be honest like I'm not going to I'm not going to I do I know that sounds counterintuitive but I think it can happen Okay Philly uh Ty let me think about it we'll we'll make a bet next week no it doesn't I will say this though Mr blunt line yeah independently it's really really really hard um you know when you reach out I I was a guest on their show but for more from an lhu perspective and I've been on their show I think three times now um I do highly recommend that even if you don't catch his show and you can't support monetarily I understand money is tight all my donations most of the money I've made on YouTube has been through donations it's been dried up I understand inflation has come for us all and all that stuff so the best thing you can do for any content creator outside of of course you know donating directly to them is watch their videos all the way through even if you don't actually watch them like if you're going out to the bar or whatever play their podcast on your computer at home because it builds their watch time okay and if YouTube sees your watch again every single week they're like okay you must really love it now most of you are going to be able to go back and watch it and all that stuff but watch it and then put it at 2x speed so you can you know go through more of their content yeah send me your music man I listen I used to do uh radio every single day I did an R&B show a country show and a sports show every single day I started at the same network that Bobby Bones started now Bobby Bones is on a different level than me uh he's a dream guest by the way so Bobby Bones wants to jump on the show uh I'm open now he might not like me because I'm I'm I'm critical of Arkansas and he's not critical of Arkansas ever but I think you can respect that I've spoken to Bobby a few times I I don't have his contact anymore um but that's a dream guess okay let's go to Ken Ray uh definitely make a Bowl this year three wins on the SEC schedule okay nothing sus the good radio voice the funny thing is like this is how I this is how I normally talk um but yeah I like I used to get music into me all the time uh the funniest thing about my music career okay when I did country radio was when I had a when I interviewed a country artists after I was done interviewing them they hit it big okay Eric pay was one of them I interviewed him him early in his career uh Brothers Osborne interviewed earlier in their careers both of them obviously are really big um but the biggest is Laney Wilson I open for Laney wilon once doing comedy uh many years ago okay love me Lan Wilson but yeah s music
