WEEK, THE FIRST HALF IS GOING TO BE ROUGH, AND THEN THE SECOND HALF IS GOING TO BE NICE. SO HEY, HOW ABOUT THAT A MIXED BAG. LOOK AT THE VIEW OVER SANTA MONICA. IT'S JUST GORGEOUS RIGHT NOW. I MEAN, THE COASTS HAVE BEEN SPARED FROM ANY TYPE OF THAT HEAT, OF COURSE, AND IT'S 74 DEGREES IN SANTA MONICA NOW. GREAT CONDITIONS THERE. THERE WERE SOME MARINE LAYER CLOUDS THIS MORNING, AND WE'LL GET SOME PATCHY FOG ALONG THE COAST STARTING TOMORROW MORNING. HOLLYWOOD 83 DEGREES. PLENTY OF SUNSHINE THERE AS PEOPLE ARE CHECKING THINGS OUT. MAYBE THEY'RE DOING THEIR LAST GETAWAY BEFORE THEY START SCHOOL. TEMPERATURES IN PALMDALE 94 DEGREES. APPLE VALLEY'S 95, PALM SPRINGS 104. RIGHT NOW. RIVERSIDE, ONTARIO 90 DEGREES ANAHEIM, MID 80S. VAN NUYS 89, WOODLAND HILLS 90. BUT YOU CAN SEE 74IN REDONDO BEACH 74 IN SEAL BEACH, 80 IN LONG BEACH RIGHT NOW. NOW, AS WE GET INTO THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS, WE'LL START TO SEE THOSE CLOUDS BUILD ALONG THE COAST. I MEAN, THIS MORNING AND YESTERDAY WE HAD THOSE CLOUDS PRETTY EXTENSIVE GOING OUT TOWARDS THE WESTERN EDGE OF THE EYE, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT'LL JUST BE CONFINED TO THE COAST AND PROBABLY TURN INTO A PATCHY FOG SITUATION FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF MORNINGS. AND THEN THE MARINE LAYER WILL COME BACK LATER IN THE WEEK. NOW, THE LAST TEN DAYS FOR RIVERSIDE, FOR EXAMPLE, WE'VE HAD PLENTY OF ABOVE AVERAGE DAYS. I MEAN, LAST WEEKEND THERE WAS THAT DAY THAT WAS EIGHT DEGREES ABOVE THE AVERAGE, WHICH IS ABOUT 95 DEGREES FOR RIVERSIDE AND PRETTY CLOSE TOWARDS AVERAGE. YESTERDAY WENT BELOW AVERAGE AND TODAY'S LOOK PRETTY LOOKING PRETTY SIMILAR. BUT WHEN WE START OUT THIS WEEK WE'RE GOING RIGHT ABOVE AVERAGE JUST FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. THEN WE DROP BELOW AVERAGE. WHAT'S GOING TO BRING THESE HOTTER TEMPERATURES IS THIS HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM PRETTY MUCH CENTERED OVER THE NORTHERN TEXAS REGION THERE. AND EVENTUALLY IT WILL START TO MOVE WEST HERE, MOVING OUT THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM AND THEN DOESN'T STAY VERY LONG. AND IT KIND OF SCOOTS BACK TOWARDS THE EAST. AND THAT'S WHY YOU SEE IN OUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST THAT WE HAVE A RISE IN TEMPERATURE GOING INTO TUESDAY 91 DEGREES FOR LA, ORANGE COUNTY AND THEN THINGS START TO TREND DOWNWARDS. AND PRETTY SIGNIFICANT THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY 78 DEGREES FOR THE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR LA ORANGE COUNTY. I HAVEN'T SEEN THAT IN A WHILE. THEN WE GO BACK TOWARDS AVERAGE ON SUNDAY. SO NEXT WEEK IS ACTUALLY LOOKING PRETTY GOOD. BUT THURSDAY FRIDAY THOSE ARE PROBABLY GOING TO BE THE BEST DAYS OF THE WEEK AS FAR AS THE VALLEYS INLAND EMPIRE TOMORROW, TEMPERATURES RANGE FROM 93 TO 100 DEGREES MORE TRIPLE DIGITS ON TUESDAY, THE HOTTEST DAY ON AVERAGE 100 DEGREES. THERE BUT SOME PLACES 104. WEDNESDAY. TEMPERATURES START TO COME DOWN. THERE'S THAT MONSOONAL MOISTURE MAKING A RETURN. SO IT'S GOING TO FEEL MUGGY, ESPECIALLY OUT TOWARDS THE I. THE MORE EAST YOU ARE, THE MORE MUGGY IT WILL FEEL. AND THEN MUCH COOLER THURSDAY AND BEYOND AND TEMPERATURES COME DOWN TO EVEN MID 80S. THE BEACH COMMUNITIES SURF OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST 2 TO 4FT TOMORROW AND INTO TUESDAY. TEMPERATURES WARM TO 78 AND THEN THEY COOL TO 71 BY FRIDAY. WE'LL HAVE THOSE MARINE LAYER CLOUDS START TO MAKE A RETURN AND FILL IN A LITTLE BIT MORE LESS OF A FOG SITUATION LIKE WE'RE GOING TO SEE THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. MOUNTAIN AREAS. THE MONSOONAL MOISTURE BRINGS IN A 20% CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS, TEMPERATURES GO FROM 84 DEGREES DOWN TOWARDS 71 DEGREES 70. ON SATURDAY, THAT WILL BE THE COOLEST DAY THERE AND CHILLY NIGHTS IN THE LOW 40S. AND FINALLY THE DESERTS. WE SEE TEMPERATURES GOING UP TO 103. THE HOTTEST DAY ON TUESDAY.
