y day guys how's it going my name is Aussie Tash we are back with another Canadian reaction video Brian Adams My ultimate favorite Canadian musician actually probably one of my favorite solo artist in the whole world in the '90s he was everything okay guys really looking forward to getting to this video but before we do please make sure to jump on smash the Subscribe button hit the notification Bell for all future live streams and videos okay let's get into it Brian Adams before he was famous let's go we're queuing things up today in the Green Pastures of North Vancouver with me on camera is always as Rick Von Schmidt Rick and I have just read a great book about local Legend Brian Adams called everything he does by Sorel sedman the book says Brian was born on November 5th 1959 in Kingston Ontario and moved to North Vancouver with his m in 1974 when he was 15 wow and he attended Southerland Junior High School right here actually Brian school was replaced by this newer version several years ago earthquake safety and such yeah Brian was a quiet shy lad possibly prone to occasional outbursts against Authority his report card said Brian is an attentive student when he attends BR admits to being Brian was an attentive student when he attends oh my God guys it's so funny why I wanted to pick Brian Adams and do a video on Brian Adams is for some reason I had a dream about him last night and I think it had to do with something that popped up on Facebook yesterday so this month it has been 40 years since the release of Summer of 69 so guys watching how are you feeling how old are you feeling aie Tash I was only four years of age so I don't really remember when it was released of course I jumped on the Brian Adams bandwagon in the90s all through the 90s oh my gosh he was just everywhere I remember buying every album as it was released I've seen two concerts at least two concerts of Brian Adams when he traveled to the land of down under but yeah mate oh I've done a reaction to heaven on Aussie Tash jump on if you want to hear me sing Heaven oh mate I can just remember it makes your skin cruel you get goosebumps hearing him sing Heaven live it's just absolutely incredible guys in the comments all people watching on the live stream right now cuz this is the live stream recording comment punch in your favorite Brian Bri Adams song and share your memories of going to see Brian Adams in concert all right let's keep on going an un controllable kid with a lot of energy but he made some good buddies who were into music too and Brian poured his energies into making real good music oh yes he did as a young lad too that's cool in 1976 Brian changed schools he started attending Argy here school is mostly the same today as it was when Brian attended Young Brian had a music teacher here named Lloyd burrett who taught him how to listen to music critically and even edit tapes and I think we have a picture of young Brian Rick you want to put that up oh my God no I can never ever for like a second imagine Brian Adams having hair like that oh my gosh you can see his cheekbones you can see his eyes you can see all the facial features that's him 100% but the hair oh I love it I'm absolutely loving this this is so cool I'm loving learning about the history of Brian Adams oh my gosh like I said guys I was trying to find an interview I just couldn't find many a lot of the interviews of Brian Adams were from the UK I tried to find one on strombo Brian Adams sitting on the couch with strombo you guys know I love Strongbow I couldn't find one guys if there is one out there please send me the link on YouTube or on Discord and we will do it together but yeah this is really cool I could never imagine this for a second that he looked like this wow oh my gosh um just last year he was was inducted in the Canadian songwriters Hall of Fame I did watch that interview it goes for a couple of minutes mate he looks a lot different he's still wearing the leather pants and the leather jacket and got the hair all gelled but nothing like this this is really really cool Young Brian had several odd jobs including construction meal delivery and a pet store the job most people talk about around these parts is a giggy had washing dishes for 2 50 an hour here at the tomahawk barbecue Brian says he worked here until he had enough money to buy his first amplifier says he worked the 6:00 p.m. to midnight shift around back here well this would have been the door where Young Brian came to work see some handprints in the cement here I wonder if nah nah Eric let's head inside see if we can take a picture so he boties first a all right we're inside it's making music and on the other side of that dish shoot is where Young Brian did the dishes incredible we've all done that mate by the way uh excellent food here at the tomahawk one of the oldest family run restaurants in Greater Vancouver I highly recommend it not sure if it's still there if it is before Brian was 18 years old he had already left school and joined a touring band called Sweeney Todd but maybe the biggest turning point in his life happened a few years later right here on 4th Avenue in Vancouver there was a music store here called long and McQuade through a chance encounter Brian met another musician here named Jim Valance and they agreed to get together a few days later in Jim's basement Studio to see about writing some songs the good people at long and McQuade told me the store's address was 1664 looks like it's been replaced by you guessed it condos it is what it is this house here in West Vancouver is where the two would get together and they would work for long hours every day for years their creative chemistry and determination inside this house would lead to the albums you want it you got it Cuts Like a Knife and Reckless Cuts Like a Knife hasn't it been like 40 years or something since Cuts Like a Knife since the song I think it has been oh my gosh I know last year he did a residency in Vegas but I haven't seen him in Australia for a long time I know about five years ago he released another greatest hit CD I seen an interview he said that was probably going to be his last actual physical CD because yeah you know just don't release CDs anymore it just gets put onto Spotify and stuff like that songs enjoyed by millions around the world making Brian an international Superstar yeah this was the house mate this was the house that changed it all mate this was Brian Adams Abby R Brian didn't hit Superstar him overnight he had to work very hard for many years yeah and when he started making some money he rented this North Vancouver house with his brother Brian nicknamed the house The Dumping Ground The Dumping Ground he was desperate for some privacy and he put a sign in the front door that said attention Do Not Disturb This House under any circumstances I'm busy please go away I'm busy thank you he did say thank you that's a very Canadian thing to do you know I'm busy I need my privacy please go away in the late' 70s before Brian was a superstar he attended a Tina Turner show here at the world famous Commodore Ballroom onet within two songs she had him on top of a table just a screaming and a shouting he went backstage to try and meet her but he was forcibly ejected apparently at the request of Tina a Burly bouncer grabbed him by the collar and threw him out into the street several years later Brian was on tour with Tina yeah and they had a hit duet called It's Only Love it's only love but the twist in the story doesn't stop there because if you look closely here on Granville where that bouncer threw out Young Brian you'll see his star on the BC entertainment Walk of Fame local boy done good and we love them that's cool mate so he's got a star there as well I know he's got a star you know in America well like you know on their star Hall of Fame theme I'm not quite too sure what it is I know he's in the Canadian Junior you know the songwriters Hall of Fame but mate having your own star in Canada I think would be you know I think maybe to him I'm not quite too sure I can't speak on his behalf but it's probably cooler to be recognized in Canada you know more than like you know so in America and stuff like that but yeah this is such a cool story so he loved Tina Turner he wanted to go and meet her he got booted out by the bouncer a couple of years later he's doing a tour with Tina Turner how cool is that we're going to wrap things up today here at 100 Powell Street in the downtown east side it's the oldest brick building in the City built in 1886 it survived the big fire that year and even served as Vancouver City Hall Brian bought it in 1991 and it's now the warehouse Studio where lots of big names come to record including apparently ACDC Bron John Bon Joy The Tragically hit Metallica and Michael B so he's still on but this is just a tiny piece of Brian's Legacy the Brian Adams Foundation invests millions of dollars to protect the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people around the world oh that's cool mate and that's going to do it hope you enjoyed this little taste old Vancouver cool mate cheers so much guys in the comments let me know does he still own this warehouse this studio ACDC have gone there mate I've got to find it I've got to try and find me some footage of you know the austalian iconic band ACDC recording here maybe they did because I know ACD have done some tours in Canada maybe they went there and you know did some practice you know some practice before you know their tours in Toronto and Vancouver I'm not sure but this was a really really cool video I absolutely loved it guys that was the video for today if you liked it please jump on smash the like button leave a comment and of course remember to subscribe that really helps me out also guys share your favorite story favorite memory of seeing Brian Adams or meeting Brian Adams like I
