those records they were like reading great novels to us sometimes I mean we would go in Paula's Record Shop which was the one record shop in my little town Malin we would just thumb through the records we couldn't afford to buy them sometimes but we read everything we could on the outside and every now and then when Paula wasn't looking you would actually undo the cellophane and open up a double record and just read it and then you see her coming back and throw it back in the pile I missed that until recently when they started coming back with LP again and of course we were getting albums when we could too you know we were pretty poor you know you'd save up and buy an album and then you'd join up with a Columbia record club which my dad said it's all a scam you're going to end up owing a bunch of money but to me as a kid 13 records for a penny are you kidding me and of course we got those 13 records you got to pick them out yourself but then every couple of weeks you get another one in if you didn't like it whatever they sent you you had to m box it back up and send it back and you know kid's not going to do that so they just stack up in the room the next thing you know your dad says hey I just got a bill for $100 here what's going [Music] on
