hey guys welcome back to today's video where we're going over the 2018 primary results in the state of Delaware gonna be a really quick video because there's not a whole lot of results to go over in what is one of these smaller states in the nation both in terms of size and population so the US Senate race probably the most interesting matchup here on the board tonight was this contest between the incumbent Tom Carper against the progressive challenger Kerry Harris some thought this might be a more competitive matchup and although considering how much Harris was outspent in this race a formidable result getting a little under thirty-six percent of the vote and nearly thirty thousand votes still coming up well short of the well known incumbent Tom Carper and in terms of this Senate seat listed as a safe democratic seat not a big surprise in the state of Delaware on the Republican side you can see only a little under thirty eight thousand votes cast and their primary compared on the Democrat side where was a little over eighty three thousand so you can see a little bit of a difference there between the Democratic and Republican Party within this state and in terms of that Republican primary Robert Arlette because gonna go ahead and challenge Tom Carper but like I said this is a likely to be a very one-sided result come the midterms a safe seat there for the Democrats and then in terms of the at-large House District on the Republican side Scott Walker looking like he's gonna go ahead and take this one and now announced as the winner a very competitive matchup between himself and Lea Murphy but again this is one of those situations where the incumbent Democrat in this race is listed as about an over 99 percent chance to win it's a very safe democratic district here and again that's going to be the ones a one that the Democrats take in the midterms as a result so that's pretty much it guys for the state of Delaware again not a lot of results to go over here in terms of the progressives again just that one result with Kerry Harris coming up short no Governors matchup race in just one House District to go over so that's gonna wrap up this video guys subscribe for more hope to see you back here for future videos
