forward to hearing from you when you are healthy wealthy and wise uh gina i look forward to seeing you when you get here you know where i live i look forward to your appearance all right thanks for mentioning gina okay enough with the gina i'm kind of enough uh she's not enough she's here enough enough you said it enough uh i like what you said mentioning curtis curtis rest stop feel better hope uh i know today was rough but uh going forward hoping for a speedy recovery uh from your surgery oh my ear just died thanks for telling me um i was wondering why i was getting that blaring noise in my ear uh so curtis feel better and also uh let's not forget about uh chris wolfe who we dedicated the stream to if there's uh yes if there's an afterlife somewhere you know without getting too religious or uh you know whatever um i i hope he enjoyed the stream i i i do i so you know we dedicated and you know as silly as that is i know he was a huge fan he actually uh he wrote me a really nice email back in may i think i shared it with you about how much the stream means to him and you know got him through some rough times i believe uh the guy who passed away you're talking about yeah yeah um yeah chris so anyway it's it's a real bummer right to to uh i know you perry i know you want to ask what to have somebody pass right yeah it's a bummer to have somebody who supports the channel and was like you know totally team pcl uh passed away so our thoughts go out to him and uh i i hope uh i hope chris enjoyed the stream as silly as that sounds uh yeah so all right big guy i want to say thank you to you tom i want to say thank you to everybody that works for us yeah from new york to california uh including those in in uh colorado chicago texas we don't have any texans or chicagoans working joey's in florida heroes in nevada okay okay scott's in scotland colorado correct garrett's in new york hollywood california and and heroes out here in california no garrett's in california you know that garrett's in california okay all right thank you to everybody the faster blade live on twitch perry tell everyone about the time we met in palm springs 1978. you lightly tickled the hairs of my [ __ ] with her tongue are you out of your [ __ ] lying mind you lying [ __ ] i never met you in palm springs in 1978 i have no clue who the [ __ ] you are and i'm glad that this show this stream is over tonight okay good night and i'll see you folks on the next stream which is when uh friday yeah what time 6 p.m correct mailbag friday we'll see ya see you on mailbag friday thanks perry by the way i was very nervous tonight that i would lose power because it flickered a couple of times but we lasted the entire stream good for you yeah so we'll see i i have some minor flooding issues if i was quiet during the stream uh it's because i was dealing with some flooding issues and laying down towels and stuff it was heard that not hardcore rain coming through these speakers still haven't got some badass rain it's still happening i kind of missed that stuff yeah when i was a little kid yeah i don't know if you missed this this is a little rough so i gotta go deal with that uh and everybody else thanks for uh thanks for the great stream uh and uh thanks to our new vip curtis thank you all have a wonderful night and gina get your ass over here and i love you too thank you good night dude you know that's a good question somebody asked if the tiki bar got grown blown away i'm going to have to check to see how it held up uh i don't know i i i'm scared to say it probably if it didn't blow away it was messed up pretty badly it was all right it was already in rough shape so no loss all right all right good night sorry sorry these come in who would you rather have sex with out of randy callahan or gina karen no wearing a 12-inch strap-on gina carano forever thank you good night good night perry good night i'm turning this off all right good job i'll i'll talk to you tomorrow talk to you tomorrow i'm turning off the computer god thank you good night there he goes thanks guys uh as always thanks for the great stream thanks for all the contributions tonight thanks for all uh great media shares tonight really really really really good stuff uh there was a point um let me just make sure hold on uh there was a point where um you know i had a dart away not to bore you with details but i had to like get some towels and throw them down because there was not major flooding but some flooding um so and i but i'm hearing the stream in my earpiece and then i'm here in the uh i'm hearing some stuff that i can i kept coming back and i was like oh okay and i and one of it and when i came back you know and i saw some of the media share on deck i had to stay put and then when the um when the zebra came on i uh it's very rare for me to kind of like uh i'm very focused on the stream and i i'm very um emotionless at least i try to be you know sometimes perry pushes my buttons sometimes i laugh at some things and sometimes but man when that uh when that zebra popped up and he's running out uh and i just i just kind of kept hitting it and uh i i was uh almost unconscious i couldn't breathe especially especially when he hung out in the hallway for a while it was fantastic and uh beautiful beautiful work really all really all around the tiger too i mean everything everything was great um everything was great so i was it's very rare for me to be in like hysterics like where i'm like wiping tears away uh especially at a time where i'm like nervous about the storm and everything and also because in the room i'm in probably why you can hear the rain so well is i have kind of the the the ceiling of the roof like taken out a little bit because i'm having work done and that's why the rain is so prominent sound wise so i've been nervous about that and i was just i was i couldn't i couldn't i i'm not exaggerating i couldn't breathe so that was good uh that was great it's great when pcl can do that for me because i'm normally you know so removed from it um especially on wednesdays because there's a lot of moving parts you know coordinating with uh with joey and some video stuff and you know it's a lot of uh moving parts so uh yeah it was that was it was really good um yeah and i don't know you know it's funny it's some things uh some things get old and uh you know are naturally progress and other things just man hit harder and harder every time so uh cha-cha says tombi is wearing a hoodie and jeans no i'm not actually i'm wearing shorts and i don't own a hood you know what that's not true i do own a hoodie i just i'm not really a hoodie guy but in my older age i'm sort of becoming a hoodie guy if the weather permits but it's something that i've uh come to kicking and screaming much much like uh wearing reading glasses which i have to do now i have to wear reading glasses even even on the even doing the stream even though i have two monitors that are 32 inches and you would think that would be big enough but no i just got to acknowledge that my eyes are going yeah elbow 75 says an uninterruptible power supply would be a good investment and i was looking into those uh last week was it last sunday not this past sunday the sunday before um you know and his battery ones and stuff but they they only they give you about an hour hour and change um you know what i really want is those tesla batteries those are those are like uh like hundreds of thousands of dollars uh which obviously is out of the question but yeah some kind of solution if i i was looking on amazon and stuff you know i saw a couple of things but a lot of them just buy you an hour which i guess is enough but um yeah i will look into that going forward because i don't i don't want to live and die by the weather uh weather threats and actually since being in this house i only lost power once uh during a storm uh at some point in july and it was like a two it was an on stream day and it went out for like five hours uh and yeah aloof one says did i get the flooding warning on my phone yeah i got full yeah i got uh i had myself muted for a couple of them but yeah my phone kept beeping uh a couple of times those emergency alert things which i know come come in handy i guess sometimes but they're so goddamn annoying so yeah it was a flood flash flood warning and a tornado warning there was a tornado i guess uh somewhere in westchester but there was a tornado tornado warning so it's supposed to rain all night and stuff but uh a more um more uh relieved now uh that the stream's over halloween is on a sunday this year yes we know i got big plans for halloween um kind of or the germs of plans i won't say it's a completely thing uh happy time harry says if the tiki bar is gone you're probably better off you won't have to remove it yourself i know yeah i mean there's a couple of options i i either have to remove it or fix it myself whatever i don't know i'm still still going through that process i did appreciate the tip comment tonight where somebody was blaming perry for uh aiding the guy for uh the tiki tiki scam how many dangerous animals can we get in the hallway i i thought he was very reserved for the actual live tiger like the first time he actually charged out which i was shocked at because if i saw a tiger on my ring cam i didn't go anywhere near that door but he opened that door the second time it was uh or the third time i i forget uh when it came a little later he was a little more reserved and cautious thankfully and he he didn't you know he looked through his uh peephole first um yeah joey says i was dying several times the reaction to the second tire gave me a deep laugh i don't usually let out i know i am the same you know i like i said i i it's not my position to really uh laugh it up on here because i'm trying to you know run the stream and make sure everything goes smooth and everything and pay attention other things but i i was i was dying a couple of times dying faster play tommy what are you wearing i need the whole outfit uh i'm wearing um a nike uh like i don't know what you would call them like house sandals flip-flop things um green shorts and a royal blue t-shirt met's colors but no mets logo on it poi metzer mets are just such an embarrassment right now i'm not i can't even wear my uh my hat without feeling shame joey says perry's gonna have zebra ptsd he might never really go to the zoo again i don't know he gets over things pretty quick cha cha says tom b is wearing cargo shorts a huda shirt costco white socks up to his knees and a fedora that would be a good luck oh and i also like the um the uh which who i always really who always really creep me out uh the guy from poltergeist 2 the old man i forget the guy's name and i think that actor the actor that is in poltergeist too i think he passed away almost like within a year of that being filmed apparently he was really sick like he was stricken with cancer uh when he filmed that movie poltergeist ii that's why he looks extra like deathly because he was really dying and he was he was an actor you know an old-timey actor i can't you know recite his resume or something like that but i remember reading about him and he was like a really like really put his all into that like little small role but man i i did that's the other thing i liked too i liked that perry uh he picked up the that was that was moen drip i thought that was funny that was good let's go shopping at mitchells and huntington what's uh which mitchell's in huntington john i know what you know what i need i need a [ __ ] you know i was thinking about this as as i'm laying down towels because of the water coming in and it's not it's not crazy bad but it's it's it's you know uh i was thinking holy [ __ ] i need a shop vac and then i was thinking all the times i would ridicule perry for having a shop vac and i was like i need a goddamn shop vac right now this is the time i need one right now tonight can we legally reenact a charlie brown christmas at perry's house i'll drive up there maybe but garrett put together a uh compilation i didn't get to show it but uh to perry but i'll i'll show it here a pair of eating maybe i'll show this on friday this is just all the stuff here because we were going back and forth it was like oh my god like he's getting inundated with food deliveries tonight it's like it rains the pores because we haven't really had too many of those lately and then all of a sudden tonight it was an avalanche it almost felt coordinated i don't know it was like you know i have no way of knowing that obviously but um i'll show this this is uh this is just his food from tonight alone yes it's got cheese on it but i took my pills so thank you chick-fil-a baby my first talk about is this sandwich is delicious is a a burger the sandwich says fish sp that's better yeah bacon and fish just do not go together oh is it baking i agree with that is bacon on there and this looks like a quarter pounder with cheese extra salt no pickles that's nice mayonnaise that's how that that's basically what they did is they converted mcdonald's into burger king all right you can take one but you can take one bite oh that looks just one bite to respect the cube one bite that's it don't ask me to do that again oh god oh is that as bad as it looks it's cold yeah it's as bad as it looks another plain hot dog yeah that's not that's a sausage you gotta take one bite of that that's a sausage it's different oh my god i don't know where you heard that is that any better yeah a squash thing a cheese stick that's different take a bite sorry about the different role yeah how is it it's a hot it's a hot stick take one bite please one bite to satisfy the cube that's it whether you're having it or not is inconsequential but you're doing bag scams when i ask you if there's another bag and you say no that's a scam you hear the ring tacos okay you know you got to sample it just a sample bite i'm not sampling nothing [ __ ] you i don't [ __ ] foul okay and i'll make this the last delivery of the night wow i didn't realize how prominent that rain sound was lights just flickered again might be interesting uh see um jpil 1978 am i going to see johnny martin the killer show no i don't you know i saw the killers in 2004. i saw them twice i saw them once opened for marcy actually uh in chicago that summer and then i saw them at a small uh barry ballroom which is pretty small place because uh they were supposed to do lollapalooza and a lot of palooza got cancelled so pretty much all the bands um that were supposed to do la palooza they played small shows in new york and they they played a show and it was great and it was like right as that album came out their first album or was it hot i don't even remember the name of the album uh but that was a great album that first album and it's i think it's of its time i think anything they've done after that is kind of just useless to me i don't care i didn't like their i listened to their second album didn't like it i've never listened anything past that i just think they're one of those bands that kind of coast off that first album i i can't think of i mean unless i'm wrong please correct me if i'm wrong if there's if they did anything past the second album but no i'm definitely not going to see a madison square garden madison square guard not only i'll only go if it's like the rolling stones or somebody like that i'm i'm not going to go and johnny maher i've seen plenty and he's johnny moore's great i've seen him in small places right up front and it's great but he does the same show every time and i think once you've seen him once it's kind of it and no so no i'm not i'm not gonna go general ditto i've got my stuff sent should be there tuesday thank you i'm looking forward to that thank you yeah here at poltergeist too everybody in the movie died right after it came out that's kind of true under mysterious circumstances uh and poltergeist 2 is it worth it raccoon money uh it is it's actually a pretty good sequel it's a pretty good sequel i love the first polter guys um but uh it's two is fine three is not that good three is pretty bad it's got its moments though but yeah two's worth watching it's another one of those movies in the 80s too where the original movies rated r and the sequel is rated pg-13 so it feels like a watered-down version but it's still it's still good danger candy says johnny mars my favorite guitars yeah of course is my favorite guitarist as well but i mean let's face it the guy can't sing i'm not a huge fan of his uh solo stuff just because you know i just don't think he's got the chops vocally but he's amazingly talented guitarist yeah and uh like jpl says mar performs smith songs better than morrissey by far and away when mara played when johnny mark plays a smith song it's like oh my god that's how the song should sound and you know marcy's band you know and i've got personal bias there uh but they it it's a little too slow and wealthy you know morris is playing vegas right now and i i as a morrissey fan i could not be more disappointed in uh his set list just what i've seen and even like i watched most of the show on youtube from the first night he did which is saturday it just seemed very lackluster mailed in um it just it was a bummer yeah it just did and yeah really lifeless to be honest with you uh have i heard of king ass ripper uh no i have not no sister uh sister fitter says i love the 7-eleven roller hot dogs i hope that's a joke i had it once like years and years ago as a desperation order there was nothing else open and i was starving and boy did i regret it it was horrible horrible yeah i didn't realize how audible that rain was it's a little better now but i gotta i gotta take care of a couple of things so i gotta i gotta wrap it up yeah that's a good uh call uh those surges can hurt your equipment you might wanna unplug them uh for the night that's exactly what i'm going to do i'm actually going to uh shut down mumble says killers stink without their other main songwriter i didn't i i don't even know if there's any band changes since the first album johnny price will say i have come at it from a possible angle i am able but you know who sucks the band kiss i'm not a kiss fan but i'm not a kiss hater either and i've nev you know i've never seen uh corey the hunk says phantasm phantasm is one of those series that's completely missed me i never really saw them i remember them from when i was a kid i remember them being advertised i remember seeing the boxes and like video stores but i never really got i think i tried to watch phantasm too uh but i've never really got into those in poltergeist three the only thing i remember really it was like tom skerritt and uh the the woman from robocop i can't think of her name uh sh you know robocop's partner in robocop she played tom skerritt's wife and carol anne was sent there because they were like related to craig t nelson or jo beth williams or something and she was staying there and then it was a high-rise in chicago and you know the poultry guys came out but it just wasn't didn't have that same thing yeah uh you're you're preaching to the already converted uh jp uh that jesse tobias sucks i can't stand them and you know i've met him many times to be honest with you and he's he's a nice enough guy to me uh but i don't like him in the band i don't i don't i don't like i don't like him at all i don't like his songwriting i don't like his playing and the fact that alan white him this is going to appeal to like two people in the chat allen white is back on stage but not bas boar like together i'm sorry you know that you're bringing the wrong people back bring back steven street and uh you know obviously without you know johnny marr but uh yeah it just it just feels hollow to me and weird right now um marcy's the best 12-minute concert you'll ever see uh i think i've been to a couple of 12-minute marathon concerts that's the other thing too he's playing vegas and i think if you're doing a residency you really gotta whip out your hits or not even hits but like your crowd pleasers and play for you know a minimum of two hours because the ticket prices he was charging i was looking it up front row was like 2 500 which was insane and they were they were not snatched up and i think they've plummeted in price now uh and he's got three shows left and they're like half sold and uh if you look at his if you're a fan you look at a set list he's not you know he's doing a couple of songs but most of it's just lackluster like [ __ ] from his past few albums which i personally think stink so i mean i'm i'm not regretting um missing those shows whatsoever it's just uh yeah and you know and uh jp says it right you know that that he's basically got nowhere since alan left i think he desperately misses allen's songwriting because i think allen's songwriting you know there was a competitive nature between his songwriting versus baz's songwriting when they were the two main uh contributors and uh he doesn't have that with uh you know tobias or you know the organ grinder as he has is even worse as a songwriter just can't believe it uh gareth says if i could play any instrument what band would i join without becoming the lead singer that's a great question i always wanted to play the bass i like the rhythm of the bass um as far as band without becoming a singer um i don't know i'd have to think about that you know it's pair like perry i don't want to give a perry answer but uh it's not coming to me off the top of my head um somebody some you know somebody like sonic youth that had like notoriety and popularity but wasn't like you know not playing stadiums or anything like that you know a band like that um you know good alternative like rock uh cred but not uh not mainstream because if i'm doing it for the love of the music not for the love of money if i'm doing it for money i'm going with like you know [ __ ] coldplay or some [ __ ] like that um oh i didn't know that the killer's member who wrote mr brightside died see i'm so far removed from killer's news i don't i don't receive any killers uh fanzines or uh i don't know i didn't know that the fashion way says phantasm might be the scariest movie ever as a kid but is it hold up now oh nancy allen that's nancy allen nancy allen and uh uh in poltergeist too couldn't think of her name i'm trying to think and i think that weird woman is in poltergeist three two the the small one that has the weird voice i can't think of her name pavement i like pavement i like pavement see like the other series i had never seen horror-wise is a hellraiser i've seen like i think i saw hellraiser two and three i never saw the first one i never saw any of like there seems like there's a ton of sequels that just went direct to video it's another series that i just never really got into um but maybe i should i don't know i feel like those kind of movies are the movies i can watch like now where i i don't want to watch anything that's going to make me think too much so that's why i watch like i'll watch like an old school horror movie or something like that because i could just check my brain you know and like you know look at my phone or do other things or you know answer emails and stuff like that kind of do some work what was that no what was that woman's name the one i i can't think of her [ __ ] name i don't know if it's notable the little the woman that's in the first poltergeist that's like the medium i can't think hellraiser one is the only worthwhile one okay is there nine is there nine hell right i didn't fall see i can't get into that hellraiser one is legit terrifying okay i would check that out oh check out hell raiser phantasm is very weird you want to pay attention i remember some reason i remember phantasm being reviewed on siskel and ebert and they just absolutely hated it but they hated all those kind of movies they hated all those like slasher you know horror movies that just wasn't uh wasn't their kind of thing so but i just have that in my head is like oh they hated it so it must be a bad movie or something that from like being a kid and seeing it yeah i agree i agree with johnny pretzel says clyde barker had his uh legit own thing going but um movies never really came together yeah i agree with that because i've seen a couple of his things and he's just not quite on that level as like a wes craven or something like that he's just not there linda hunt that sounds right yeah that sounds right freddy's dead was legit i don't like freddie's dad i think freddie's dad's terrible too calm that's the problem with all the fri on friday the uh nightmare and elm street movies uh there's a couple i think we talked about at one point they're good but they just got too comical like freddy's dead is almost like a comedy uh it and and the more comical they got and the more free reign they gave to freddy krueger as being like you know jokey with uh you know he he just wasn't scary you were you're more looking forward to him because of like the pranks he would play or something like that or the elaborate things he would do uh but in the first movie especially going into the first movie fresh without having seen any sequels first movie's terrifying first nightmare downstream is terrifying and freddy is terrifying in it um two two is weird and has its uh has its value i guess and then three is is pretty good but he's that's where it starts getting a little too um funny i should say and then after that it was just you know all over i forgot about ghoulies yeah ghoulies was like a like a gremlins ripoff the after i'll tell you what i really like and i'd like to see again i haven't seen it in years is critters critters one and two if you haven't seen critters critters is like uh a pretty hardcore like rated art gremlins in a way it's like except they come from outer space very very solid uh at least i don't know if there's any more than two but critters one and two is solid i like uh i like critters freddy's dead was a literal cartoon it was like gremlins too dana i disagree gremlins 2 is a solid film uh even though it's uh like satirical on it on the predecessor but gremlins 2 is great it's written well it's well cast it's got a good story freddy's dead is just a mess it's just a mess but gremlins 2 is a legitimately a great sequel i think at least anyway gentiles had scared you off the coolest ghoulies schedule off the title the toilet um is critters getting a reboot that would that's actually something i might get behind that's good and tremors too the first tremors is great the first tremors is out of this world great i never i saw the second one it's okay and i never saw anything past that trump but tremors the first tremors is fantastic i would love them to do a tremor sequel with fred ward and kevin bacon see you need kevin bacon if you don't have kevin bacon and fred ward it's not the same but tremors is solid really fun movie it's like a fun like drive-in type movie yeah i agree with johnny pretzels elm street one is horrific and it is especially if you get to show it to somebody you've never seen who's never seen it and it's like you can't really say that about friday the 13th you know it doesn't have it there's no entry in friday the 13th that you could say that about that's like terrifying you know they're all pretty much like [ __ ] you know what entertaining [ __ ] but [ __ ] nonetheless and uh elm street the first one is it feels like a real movie a real like a real movie that's designed to scare people like not just have shock value uh you know it's not a guy you know it's uh it's good and it's well performed it's very good and i like the first child's play too the first child's play is great the sequel is a junk first child is great and i'm actually very curious to see the new candy man i hear a lot of good things about the new candy man the other troubles could have been michael gross needs to earn a living see michael gross is so good in that first movie that they probably just i'm imagining they just exploited that character to death and made him like the you know probably the lead after uh fred ward left or whatever which is too bad because he's a great supporting character but he shouldn't be leading the film because then it turns into uh ridiculousness yeah i understand what you're saying johnny pretzel about not liking a friday 13th because slashes in general it's a definite genre that you either i think i grew up with it and they always felt so taboo to me as a kid that when i finally got to see them um it's uh you know it felt like i was getting away with something because my mom was very strict about watching rated r movies so i had to like sneak off to a friend's house to watch him or something like that so whenever i got to see a movie like that like a slasher i felt like i was getting away with something and it which which gave me some kind of reward zone in my brain and i still have that even as an adult when i'm watching friday the 13th part three or something like that i still go back to when i was a kid i still feel like i'm watching something that i shouldn't be allowed to watch i can't explain it but there's something about watching a hard r movie particular of of the horror genre where i watch it as an adult and i am like man i i shouldn't be i shouldn't be watching i'm like looking over my i shouldn't be watching this this is you know i'm gonna get in trouble or something like that like i can't believe i'm actually watching this uncut without commercials or anything so it's a weird thing um but i enjoy them for what they are and i like the halloween series i like the first halloween i really like the second halloween uh and the third i you know it doesn't have anything to do with the main series third third i think is both underrated and overrated at the same time and i really like the fourth one i think the fourth one's very atmospheric and uh very good and i think they went off the rails after that but uh i enjoy them for what they are i enjoy them for what they are and i know what they are i don't i don't rank them along the same as uh you know i think uh garrett says my thoughts on the longest yard the original with uh uh burt reynolds i remember loving it um i remember loving it as a when i first saw it as like a teenager i don't think i've seen it in a good 20 plus years uh i'd have to see it again to really form an opinion on it but what do you mean your opinion change like for the worst or for the better um and i never saw the adam sandler one i never i never saw it i hope that's not the one you're talking about yeah and originally um barely loses original alien original alien is is is pretty much it's a slasher movie really in space it's the same template but it's great it's atmospheric and uh an alien aliens the sequel is a very different kind of movie it doesn't have that same horror vibe but i i love it i think i think both both are fantastic three three not so much and then the fourth one's dreadful oh i remember that yeah john david remember the blob remake i do remember that like 86 i think that came out in 86 and i think i saw it on hbo a good point by johnny says slashers lend themselves to throw away characters absolutely the thing uh oh the whole nine yard what am i i'm thinking of the longest yard not the whole night oh the whole nine yards is [ __ ] dreadful all awful awful awful awful terrible movie for some reason i read that as the uh the longest yard with burt reynolds which is uh you know a prison movie with a football team no i remember seeing that in a theater with my girlfriend at the time i hated it then awful unwatchable cringe worthy and i know they made a sequel i never saw it awful awful awful awful movie bruce willis that's really around the time where he just started sleepwalking through movies bruce will bruce willis is just [ __ ] on why unwatchable at this point i i can't think of the last good bruce willis movie can't think of it no of course it doesn't hold up of course it couldn't hold up when did that come out like 20 years ago oh my god it's so bad it's so bad and it's got that matthew perry idiot in it and he's and he's just i hate stunt casting too in movies i hate casting in movies where you know at the time the movie came out there was some stupid tv show where there was one actor that was popular but they never really did anything else and uh i think it ruins movies i i hate seeing those people pop up in movies can't stand it but that's a [ __ ] awful movie awful awful awful movie i wanted to i wanted to walk out and my girlfriend wanted to sit through it i remember that it's one of the reasons why we broke up actually i thought she had such terrible taste in uh comedy and movies and tv shows and i couldn't i couldn't put up with it anymore like she loved friends to the point where if we were on vacation somewhere like which happened every now and then she had to watch friends i was like you know this is obviously before like on demand and stuff and i was like what are you [ __ ] kidding me it's just [ __ ] horrible uh and she would get mad at me uh [ __ ] the whole i mean i i don't even remember what the movie's about isn't bruce willis isn't he like like uh like a hitman or something like that in it and matthew perry god i don't even remember the plot of it i just remember absolutely hating it hating it to a level i can't even get into the rain's not so bad now crazy it's not as bad as it was uh i didn't see almost heroes i didn't i didn't see all those heroes i can't speak for that but there was a there was a lot of movies like the whole nine yards around that time there was a whole movie there was a whole genre of movies exactly like that yeah fifth element is good but i don't think it holds up as well to be honest with you i i don't think it holds up as well now it's fine uh i like the um i like the fourth die hard it's okay uh the one with timothy oliphant is the bad guy and i never saw the fifth die hard which took place in russia i refused to watch that because i just heard it so bad um but uh yeah man that i mean he's just he's just terrible he really is terrible and there's a guy that like just couldn't wait to be a movie star and he yeah i think he just cashed in and just made his money and just and matthew perry bangs bruce willis ex-wife bruce up faking death with the dental records hi yeah i i don't even remember the specific beats of it johnny pretzels let's all agree on glenn gary glenn ross yes agree that it's a great it's you know it's it's one of those movies glenn gary glenn ross obviously it's based on a play but um dave and mama play but uh it's one of those movies where the cast elevates the material it's so every role is so perfectly cast in glengarry glen ross that i think it it elevates there's not much of a story there it's it's very play-like which is hard to translate to film but the performances are so goddamn good that uh i mean it just blows you away every time you say i i saw glenn gary glenn ross last time i started about two years ago and i just i love i love everything about it i love everything about it i love chat i mean and i and every time i see it i gravitate towards a different actor in the film like one time i watch it i could be you know everybody's into the alec baldwin scene that's fine but then i'll i'll i'll study i'll just look at like alan arkin and like really just get into his character and the last time i watched i really got into jack lemmon um that scene where uh speaking of rain where he's like desperate to close uh he you know is his daughter's in the hospital and he's behind on payments and he's he's just desperate for a sale and he goes out in the pouring rain and goes to that guy's house to make that desperate pitch and the guy's just like not interested and he's put and he's you know i think the simpsons character of gill the hustling salesman is based off jack lemmon and uh glenn gary glenn ross and he's he's jack lemmon's days are over like his style of uh salesmanship is is from a forgotten era and it's not working on this guy he wants nothing to do with him whereas you know pacino is on another level with his pitch you know working on uh i forget the actor's name um uh you know when he's in the chinese restaurant he's just so smooth and is working on on a completely other level and jack lemmon's like doing these tried and true salesman things and he's just pushed out in the pouring rain and it's just heartbreaking heartbreaking and then other times i'll watch ed harris and ed harris is perfect as as the [ __ ] uh and then um yeah everybo i mean all through kevin spacey's great very early kevin spacey was fantastic if you've never seen glenn gary glenn ross do yourself a favor watch him immediately watch it immediately it's fantastic gary says oh love jack let me grow up in grumpy old men especially my dad is minnesota yeah i like the grumpy old men series it's good i mean treat yourself obviously you know the odd couple is great with walter matthau although i will say tony randall's a better uh a felix than jack lemmon the t it's one of those rare instances where the tv series is actually better uh than the movie slash play but if i had my dream team i would go with uh tony randall was felix and then uh walter matthau was oscar i would like to i think they did that on broadway like once like in the 70s i would have loved to have seen that but yeah uh the apartment uh the fortune cookie so many great jack lemmon movies he's just he's perfect in everything speaking of it's funny in pcl there's a person with the name ricky roma i haven't seen that i haven't seen that that's uh that's funny hold on yeah wait i can't hear you say again do you have a way to find out if gina is coming over tonight or not no of course not how would i know that perry i would say i would say absolutely not you would say zero to no what time what time is it there now it's uh 11 10. i i i i sent her a message on instagram saying if you're not here within 30 minutes i'm just gonna jump in the shower okay you know what maybe take a break from instagram and instagram for a little while it just it seems what's the easiest way to reach people that's right yeah i know but like between cafe lu and the the the [ __ ] kathy lou and then the prostate pill scam that you know it's four i mean 400 whatever dollars that you wasted on that it's not a scam it's good it's working it works for me is it 400 good 400 yeah that's what you paid for seven bottles yeah oh jesus uh i don't know do you even do you even do you even look at the bottom line when you order these things i didn't i didn't didn't i didn't realize it was that much yeah but that's my point do you look at the final price you you just click order i read everything but i didn't see that it said 400 yeah see that's see that's the problem with these type of things that advertise on instagram they're they're looking for impulse people like yourself i didn't order that off instagram i ordered that off the tv set oh you said it was okay either way you know whatever whatever it is they they prey on that where it's like oh here's one bottle for x amount of dollars but you have to and now we've run into this and they send you enough enough bottles to last you for six six or seven months yes but but and we've run into this in the past because you've gotten stamina pills you've gotten weight loss pills all these like magical beans that you i mean again we've had this problem in the past where uh and and in the past it's been my money i think thankfully this is your money but uh it's basically every one of them runs by this uh template where it's like um the first bottle is cheap the first bottle is like 1999 or something like that i'm making that up and then right and then you have and then you have a week to cancel your subscription because when you sign up and order it it's 19.99 but the fine print says you have one week to cancel this trial period and then you'll be charged x amount and then you'll get like a year supply or six month supply as you said and that's what they hope what they hope for is you don't read that fine print and they hope that you're gonna forget about it and not cancel it which is what happened and they sent you the mother lode and then uh yeah you're out hey look if you enjoy the pills that's great i just don't think that they're gonna i i i i've been sleeping at night okay fine i i think what i think i think whatever you got you could have got it costco or gnc for you know a fraction of the cost well um i've got something similar it's it's like half the half the strength at costco so that's why i bought this i got prostate plus at costco this is prostate uh maximum or prostaglandin i know they got all these fancy words it's just it's just it's a scam and we we've gone through this before and i kind of agree with you so yeah i i i went a little overboard with this yeah no it's gonna happen again okay i know we said that last time and then it always happens again but anyway um what's your uh what's your favorite jack lemmon movie god i've i met him uh at the dana short classic um wow jack lemon wow ah my favorite i i really don't know movies with him by name did you ever see glenn gary glen ross is that a person or a movie name it's a movie i'm still by the way i'm still on the stream i'm on after hours that's why i'm asking i i i i don't know it's possible you ever see the out of towners the original one it was jack lemmon and sandy dennis i think played his wife uh but that's you know it's like he that's one where he's like in you know they're from ohio and he he has this you know he's in new york but it's like everything goes wrong it's a great great movie i remember him in something with ernest borgnine a little comedy comedy with ernest borgne and that's not ringing a bell was it ernest brook i i uh i i don't have any uh movies that i can think of with uh jack lemmon hmm favorite favorite horror movie favorite horror movie horror movie horror movie that's a movie that's scary the 13th series the whole series yeah i think so or or amityville horror okay ebonyville war was a scary one for me yeah when i was younger the very first one that was uh pretty scary gary see garrett says out to sea i got to disagree out to sea was kind of after it was all right but it's going for that yeah it was it was it was a little too i don't know about out to sea it's okay it's okay it's not grumpy or wrong yeah it's like they did it after grumpy or old man and then they did an odd couple a sequel odd couple movie jack lemmon and um that's right there we go there we go the the original odd couple's great couple there we go yeah i remember who yeah all right yeah with walter matthau i mean come on right do you ha do you have you actually have jack lemmon's signature in that book i think i do oh i gotta see it i gotta see that book i gotta see that you're out here you'll see it i can't believe i forgot i'm not selling it actually no don't don't the the um golf oh okay thank god thank god garrett was being sarcastic he didn't really mean that yeah the golf uh uh program from uh back in the what was it 70's right yeah i know we went through it you had some great signatures in that i definitely yeah bob hope papo power trocel amazing um that's a that's a really amazing uh collection of signatures like unbelievable unbelievable uh johnny pretzels wants to know what's your favorite film of all time your all-time favorite movie the movie that makes you happy the most your favorite favorite movie my all-time favorite movie yes and if you say lords of dog town i'm going to murder you so don't say that give me a real give me a real movie i need a real answer oh [ __ ] [Music] that comment i uh with mumbles who says my fellow americans uh with james garner is better than not see i always kind of wonder if the garner role was meant for math hour or something like that and he couldn't do it for whatever reason but i agree it's your all-time favorite movie please don't say godfather or like goodfellas or like some stupid you know right a movie a movie that everybody films and says like that i'm thinking something like american graffiti uh because it was a fun movie okay it was it was everybody had old old roadsters from like the uh the early era of the 1920s and 30s they built these cars up to the 50s and 60s made them hot rods it's a good it's a good movie i i mean but you know um gone with the wind could be one of my all-time favorites yeah what's with the chat giving tracy a hard time let's let's let's let's uh let's chill out on uh going after tracy tracy's a good girl uh tracy trash now tracy i mean uh tracy in the chat tracy elliott oh let's uh you like tracy right i don't know her personally but well i got news for you perry you're going to call her on sunday you're going to call her really yeah it's going to be fun tracy elliot is she related to uh um no never mind i'm not gonna say that nobody you know nobody you know all right no no no um i used to have a tree high school girlfriend named tracy spears no no give me give me give me give me give me a definitive answer to your favorite i can answer my favorite movie name give me your favorite movie my favorite movie my all-time favorite movie yeah can i say when do you see the heat or no i mean if you're if that's your answer i mean you're in it you're biased i started it because i started it is that your answer uh because i start in it is the reason why it's my all-time favorite but if it's my all-time favorite movie that i have seen what's the movie that i saw the most i yeah i mean just give me an answer something that you like something you see something that you go back to and watch a number of times right um well uh because i don't watch movies much anymore that's not true you see you see plenty of plenty of movies yeah um look look if if windy city heat is the answer if american graffiti is the answer that's that's fine i just want a real i yeah i like american graffiti but but that was that that was brought up in the stream tonight and i don't know if that you're just saying that because it's fresh in your mind no no no no no no no no i've been thinking about that movie for quite some time okay the race cars uh in that movie for quite some time uh fast and furious oh come on there we go that series that film series that's your favorite that can yeah that's one of them you know fast interfere fast fast and experience sniper cars fast and the furious is just a rip off of point break you know that right it's just it's a complete rip-off why would you call it a rip-off point break uh because uh both movies are about uh you know uh criminals like you know robbers heisters whatever you want to call them and in one movie they're surfers uh and an fbi guy like a young handsome fbi guy has to infiltrate them and pretend to be one of them and then there's a whole you know uh that's a point break yeah that's but it's also fast and furious it's the exact same movie except with cars uh where what's what's the guy's name who died it's two different movies all together no it's the same movie surfing fast and furious the street race but it's the same plot it's the same i mean it's a type of flock it's just i mean it's pla it's plagiarism as far as i'm concerned no i disagree it has all the same beats it has all the same beats that's just my opinion although i i mean some of those movies are entertaining i haven't seen all of them paul walker was that the guy's name paul walker the one that passed yeah yeah paul walker is basically keanu reeves in that first movie but anyway i'm sad about hearing about paul walker's death you're not over it yet it's been a i while had a sad hearing about his death yeah but you heard about it like seven years ago right yeah of course of course nothing about hearing about anybody's death uh anyway um okay so fast and the furious uh there's some little series there's some movie that you like what about that limitless movie you like that too right yeah let me know this is another real good movie because limitless was uh what introduced me to bulletproof coffee right right right because the movie is based on um uh on the uh uh the true life story of um dave asprey right i've never seen it never seen it yeah what was that movie what was that movie that came up tonight was it with josh brolin that skateboarding movie that you were in yeah i was not in the film somebody just put my name in the credits it sure as hell looked like you it was not me at all are you sure you put my name in the credits are you sure you didn't do it do it for like a day and like forgot i didn't know exactly what i'm talking about didn't look like me at all hey did you ever see the american graffiti um uh sequel more american graffiti did you ever see that i never saw american graffiti it's called more there's that one as well as the one with richard pryor and uh um richard pryor and james james what am i thinking uh prior and and um the movie where they got thrown in in the prison oh stir crazy thank you yeah that's good that was a real good movie i don't know if i'd say the best mumble says brewster's millions i know that's he probably saying that sarcastically was another good one i like uh brewster's millions quite a bit i know a lot of people didn't like it i liked it a lot i loved that movie that was another good movie okay she's got three minutes who's got cars who's got three it's like he he often wakes me up [Music] like he'll call me at like this this time like on a non-stream day whatever you know i know now to turn my my ringer's kind of set off except his number and uh so yeah it's like a little bit of payback i know we gotta talk about this perry likes friends that's uh that's a problem with me that's a problem i hate friends in fact it might be the show i hate the most if you were to tell me uh if i had a marathon or binge uh friends or like some garbage like uh tgif abc show like full house some of that i'm taking full house real question what's the second best late night talk show of any era i probably late night with david letterman uh when letterman was at 12 30. i think that would be the right answer he'll never call me again during after hours uh i wouldn't wager a bet on that one i wouldn't uh oh mumbles is the perfect answer for the tv movie brian's song because it was so badass it was uh released in theaters uh yeah so yeah i agree with that uh brian some's probably the answer i'm the joe i'm the joey to his ross i'll tell you what cha cha i don't even get that reference i don't even get that reference that's how that's how hate that's how much i hate friends i don't even get the reference five across the face says i think kevin smith directed all the friends that was maybe general dupont says if i win the lottery i'm buying the rights to friends removing the laugh track and then release it again so everyone can see how terrible it is that's a great point if you go on youtube somebody's actually kind of done that if you if just type in it might be the same guy but i remember seeing that on youtube like the guy took out the laugh track as much as you can do uh and you just see how terrible it is and i'm sure you could do that with other sitcoms too but it's it's way more entertaining with friends uh so it's basically took friends and removed the laugh track and you could just see how [ __ ] terrible it is uh and no yeah mitch no perry has not seen any of the sopranos he never had hbo and i mean he has access to it now you could probably watch it but no he's never seen it is very ready for mailbag on friday the saudi flag from the taliban uh yeah that should be interesting he's got a couple of good ones i know they're in the tank for friday it should be an interesting mailbag uh roseanne 10 times better than friends yeah anything is like perfect strangers 10 times better than friends saved by the bell ten times better than friends any any anything you can name ten times better than friends atrocious atrocious show really atrocious and i agree night court is very underrated really like not uh in fact if you've never seen nightcore i don't know if it's streaming anywhere uh that would that that's a good like classic sitcom to get into it's really funny i think they're doing a reboot of it and i don't know how that's gonna work i uh mumbled i think the wire would go over his head i think that's a little too uh cerebral for him i know he watched breaking bad i know we saw that charmed is better than friends i agree with that any anything anything you can name is better than friends small wonder it's better than friends just fine oh god so that's so bad and it's you know what's bad about friends this is what's really bad about it if i can articulate this properly because a lot a lot of other things fall victim to this um good night cha cha sweet sleep well we're not gonna stay up much later um the thing with friends is i'm sure maybe the first season is is ah i've never seen it but once it became like super popular with like i think girls liked it it became a thing with girls like younger girls like teenage girls older girls and the show kind of fell in love with itself aesthetically in a way uh where it now it it and sh tv shows do this they become victims of their own success sopranos came very close to falling into this trap but they avoided it they dipped in a little bit they avoided it but there's a certain point where shows like they know their rating ratings juggernaut and you could just feel it watching it you could feel the actors uh resonating uh their egos through their characters in a way and uh it it becomes irritating uh sequels can do this too one of the modern examples i can think of that is that a british sherlock show which i think is is [ __ ] ungodly awful although i like the first couple of movies like the the sherlock with uh bernard addict uh cumberbatch uh whatever the hell his name is uh that's a show that got very hot really fast and then all of the success uh not successful uh uh movies that came out in succession after the the original lineup they're all in love with themselves like the writing you can feel it you can there's certain things you can watch where success got to them whether it got to the directors of the writers the producers of the cast or all the above it just oozes from the screen that they're just in love with themselves and they're taking whatever worked early on and exaggerating it gaslighting it and it becomes nauseating to watch comedies fall prey to this all the time uh and i think that's the case with friends and there's a lot of other examples but i just viscerally hate that show but uh yeah i've never seen red dwarf uh i don't like british production i don't like british there's very few british shows i can stomach men in black two is textbook yeah that that's a good point yeah because you could feel that with like will smith like they they're just like bursting at the seams in love with the the themself and it's just a real movie like like a successful sequel to a big movie dials that all back where the as as you the audience member you don't feel that you don't catch a whiff of that and uh the ones that do it shamefully are the ones that just you know i don't know it's hard to articulate i i'd have to really i'm like i'm kind of just trying to to to make this up as i go along and as far as articulating something uh that i've noticed but i i've never really um put it to words but there's there's a lot of it and you know it's true in music too it's true in music too where like if a band has a successful first album whatever i wish the killers are killers might be an example of this where they have a good first album and then it blows up and the second album you could tell they're in love with themselves and they think they they're untouchable and they've lost that whatever edge they had that made that first album great is now uh is now completely gone um and you know it's true in books i can think of a literature example uh you know the silence of the lambs and i think i think the success of that movie ruined thomas harris as a writer because i remember reading red dragon i remember reading silence and lands both great books the movie sounds of the lands blew up i mean it became huge obviously and then he then he takes some time and comes out with hannibal the sequel uh book but it i i think he let too much of the success of the movie go to his head and the and the book was [ __ ] you know if silence of the lands had never been made into a movie or it came made into a movie and just wasn't successful i think that i think that next book would have been probably uh much better but he he he let it he he's as a writer he's in love with the site he's never written anything after that he's just he's he was done uh i think that's oh mumble says his favorite oh my i strongly disagree i hated that book hated it absolutely hated it hated every direction every every character decision that was made it with some with some exceptions but i just i just think he he lost it i think he lost his i think he lost his style because he he let the success of sounds the lambs get to him and that's just my that's just my theory of course you know it's my almost my opinion silence is the least favorited trilogy i mean if you're talking about the books uh red dragon's my favorite of the books sounds the lens is the best movie but not even a contest in my opinion but if we're talking about the books uh i i prefer red dragon and i haven't i haven't read them in ages but i remember really getting into them but you know anyway it's just i'm sure we can go on and on about uh examples of that being uh being a thing i gotta close this out yeah i i i i'm talking about the novels too yeah i get what you're saying there's no way you would favor the move you don't like them okay so if you like the book hannibal you don't like the movie then there's no way you can like the movie and and like the book there's parts of the movie i like yeah okay i agree with you yeah hannibal is the worst movie but they're all they're all good i don't mind the um the red dragon with edward norton i think that's actually very very well made it's underrated actually and i never saw that movie hannibal rising which is supposed to be like a prequel i never saw it i don't know if that's any good manhunter a red dragon is a great question i think um if i had to pick one of the other to watch now i would go manhunter because i think i love the style of it i love the look of it um i think it's a great movie i think it's a great looking movie and i think brian cox actually is a very interesting hannibal lecter but once anthony hopkins is is in the world you know you kind of eat it up um he's a little hammy he can't he's almost on the cusp of what we're talking about in red dragon um and to a certain extent in hannibal anthony hopkins performance as hannibal lecter he's a little carried away with himself i'll say right on the edge but not not to the point where it's super obvious but um i think the best on-screen hannibal is still mads mikkelsen and in the tv series hannibal if you haven't seen the tv series hannibal rush to see that immediately it's it's that's to me the best um on-screen adaption of the character the story overall like you know is a little rushed uh at parts but it's fantastic how was the weather it seemed to have stopped raining actually i don't know it's quiet yeah it seems like the worst is over oh he wrote um animal rising as well and yeah i agree yeah matt's mickelson's lecture is is far more nuanced i feel he's closer to the book collector um very good i i would hope at some point that the show comes back you know hannah i'd love to see a fourth season of hannibal or like some or have that have that universe enter into silence of the lamb's territory and beyond um he's just so good and five of croissants anthony hopkins in westworld's great yeah and i love westworld that first season but uh anything past that i i can't i've never seen the third season i i've just one of those shows i just checked out of i think that should have been a one-season and done show i think the story was good enough for one full season of television and i think that uh that second season just lost me completely uh and i remember watching it but just not liking it and i never saw the sec i don't even know what they're where they're at with it now i don't even know if there is a fourth season or whatever i just don't care yeah uh i agree with michael mann gave man hunter a miami vice vibe yeah but it works in a way especially now in almost a retro way um i haven't seen it i haven't seen um i i really enjoy michael mann as a director yeah um happy time harry uh didn't lose the power came close a couple times it was a slight fluctuation where i got nervous but no and like the towels there was just this i have this door these like doors um that lead up to the yard and that had some water so the towels here i should probably actually take care of that right now um and i gotta do a couple other things so i and we're at just about uh seven hours so that's that that satisfies my ocd as well for the for the time but um yeah thanks for thanks for hanging out as always and i'm gonna i keep saying this but i'm gonna change this after hours stuff up at some point i'm gonna it'll be a different type of format a little bit rather than just me reading comments and rambling but it is nice when perry calls in but yeah the weather got weird i really i didn't realize until listening back to those clips that garrett put together how strong the rain sound was on my end um i tried to mute myself as much as possible tonight but boy yeah the subway terminals always get flooded it's like the subways are like a third world country in new york it's just it's disgusting really i'm just so out of i new york city to me is just oh it's sad to say it's just it's so unappealing to me that's why that's why i moved out of the city i couldn't take i just and i was in there recently and i just every time i'm in it's just less and less of that a p you know that appeal that i once had no that's nice of you to say general dip reading comments and rambling is why i stay on the after show um johnny pretzels how do y'all like the irishman i don't know what you guys think i liked it i saw it in the theater i'm one of the few people that went to see the irishman in the theater i refused to see that on uh netflix uh it was limited theaters i went to go see it um it's fine but it feels netflixy it feels made for tv it feels like it should have been done 15 years ago um i had some great moments i had some very scorsese and flashes but uh felt derivative of other things in parts a little too long and also the i think the thing that everybody says about it is the uh the de-aging just doesn't it is not satisfying it it doesn't completely work you know for a film like that it really needed to work and it i think it's more distracting uh than anything else and i think a better budget um you know really that that had to be a a phenomenal special effect and it wasn't and also it does you know and again this has been said before but when you de-age somebody you can visually make them look younger but it doesn't change the way they move the way they walk and that scene where de niro shoots that mobster in like little italy in the restaurant and has to run out i mean he literally shuffles like an old man and i think he's supposed to be in his 30s at that point uh it does it doesn't work but but it's good it it but it's good it's just it's it's very good i enjoy it seeing in the theater i saw it straight through i didn't take a pee break or anything like that i didn't check my phone because those are all the distractions that i hate about watching movies at home uh is you know you you can pause it you can you know go get a drink and come you know all these things and when you're in a theater you're you're locked into it but it felt it was weird like even in the theater like when the movie started yet the netflix logo and that sound effect you know the netflix sound effect effect which was strange so i felt like i was watching it on tv in a big screen if that makes any sense but it was a decently crowded theater and like people reacted to certain things laughed at certain lines and that was that was fun but yeah i agree with caboose so it says it's a little overrated but if you're a huge scorsese guy uh you'd love it i guess which is exactly how i feel about it it's not ranked among the very best scorsese um you know there's a curve with scorsese where i think he drops off at a certain point johnny pretzel says there's a lot of things that were done really well especially but it doesn't land um with it's like the empathy is not there or something but the more you watch there's a lot of quality [ __ ] yeah i've only seen it the one time and maybe i'll watch it again at some point but i agree with you there's some things that don't land there's there's a there's a humanity there that that that lingers but it doesn't it doesn't hit home the way like goodfellas hits or the way raging bull hits or the way um you know taxi driver hits or you know um it feels well and i'm not a he like i'm not personally i'm not a huge fan of the departed i don't love modern scorsese and i think it starts around that era i'm not huge on gangs in new york even though i appreciate it i like aspects of it i love daniel day-lewis and gangs in new york but i don't love the movie overall um and same thing with like wolf of wall street i like it's fine but it's it's missing something it doesn't you know it feels like wolf of wall street feels like a tv movie a very well done tv movie but a tv movie nonetheless and that's kind of the irishman even though the irishman is made for tv technically um but i like it and i do i think it uh joe pesci's last film probably probably he's a very unusual guy i can't see him uh doing it and it could be de niro's last decent movie you know all that stuff i don't know it's it's fine it's good like i don't think anybody says it's a bad movie i just think it was such a big deal to have like de niro and uh pacino even though they've been on screen together um this this was a big deal that they had so much screen time together and those moments were great but they were just too old like like pacino looks old deniro looks old and it's weird in a movie where de niro is supposed to play very old like elderly he's closer to the elderly uh version of that character than he is to to the younger version far closer and um you know so i like i said i think the movie should have been made like 15 years ago or 20 years ago yeah i'm the same way well don't watch any scorsese film absolutely i'm not saying [ __ ] i mean look i get excited by certain directors if they're coming if they're coming out with a film i'm there i'm seeing it in the theater scorsese's one of them it's a very short list scorsese tarantino christopher nolan for better worse uh i'd have to think about other guys michael mann to a certain extent even though he's made some stinkers uh people that'll get my ass in a theater like i'm seeing that movie johnny pretzel says the irishman third act is uh really good and acted well and no d aging the situation with frank is in is really messed up yeah i agree with that that that's that's very well stated i agree with that that's the best part of the movie the absolute best part of the movie when you're done with the flashbacks and you're kind of in that middle period uh that's very good it's rock that's kind of right that's where the movie shines in my opinion um and i think de niro does a really good job and what i really enjoyed about watching it in the theater is watching de niro act again act in a quality piece again because de niro's very good in it he's got some great moments in it as does everybody you know like pacino does a great job even though he's playing kind of a caricature of hoffa peshe's great he's always great but it was fun to see de niro in a non-shitty movie you know what i mean like it was like it had been so long to see a de niro uh in anything meaningful so that was that was good and it that that's always nice when you when like an actor that you not necessarily love or respect or whatever but somebody you've grown up with and you like um you like their work and then they just fall off and they just do [ __ ] [ __ ] and then once in a while they'll do a good movie and like you remind you of how great they were um yeah it's based on a book called yeah i heard i heard you paint houses or something like that or heard they some it's some something along those lines and and it's it's questionable like there's people that say that the movie's outright fiction in terms of what happened to jimmy hoffa and they give too much credibility to the to the de niro character and he really wasn't that big of a deal he was kind of a shmo and then other people say no this is how it happened so there i kind of like the mystery of it and the fact that you know they just went in on this version of the story personally i was waiting for another meet the parents for you see that's yeah that's where that's where de niro loses you and and and pacino also did that same nose dive at the same time they just made the thing uh i never i didn't see dirty grandpa mobile so i i can't speak for its uh validity yeah but uh uh what do i think happened to hoffa you know i'd who the [ __ ] knows i don't know i mean i i find the events the way they're depicted in the irishman a little too hard to believe um even though the guy frank in real life confessed that that's what happened um you know which is what the book is based on uh there's fbi guys that worked on that case that that swear up and down like that didn't have that it happened like it was just a regular mob it was definitely a mob head i mean that's that's for sure uh what happened but you know there's all these kind of things you know he was put in the uh he's put in giant stadium as they were late as they were laying that down in that swamp land which i find hard to believe like how are you going to move them from michigan to uh jersey so i think that's nonsense but it's interesting i've always been interested in hof because because hoffa was this character that you always heard about and it was that uh the jack nicholson movie that came out it's directed by danny devito it's actually not bad called hoffa and uh i don't remember how they handled his death or something i don't think they really show it on screen i think they kind of do and they cut away from it pacino still did biopics like kevorkian inspector yeah those came much later though he and and don't say that he didn't stoop as low as petino but do you remember that movie he did called like simone or something like wasn't it like that with the virtual reality chick uh he did his share of clunkers but i agree he didn't go as low as no de niro went real low real low um pacino didn't quite yeah he he it would be unfair to say that he went in the same uh uh the same way as uh thing but um but yeah it's it's an interesting thing and it's an interesting movie you know it's like it's a movie that that that uh causes discussion like it's it's a movie when i saw it like in the theater i would have come out like two years ago now almost i remember thinking about it like days after and i called my friend who i saw with the next day and we were talking about it for like an over an hour about little beats and probably because it's been so long i'm probably underselling it to myself because i know i enjoyed it more than my recollection is giving me right now but i remember i remember thinking about it quite a bit and if you're thinking about a movie like days after you saw it it's a mark of a good movie simone was bad you saw in the theater oh i didn't see it in the theater i think i i think i saw it on cable or something like that it was bad uh but yeah denier look de niro like what i mean he started he he went bad in like the mid 90s i mean like rocky and bullwinkle and [ __ ] like that what the [ __ ] is tarantino doing now um i don't know i heard a rumor that he's gonna do [ __ ] kill bill three and i really hope that's not the direction he goes in you know cause he's you know allegedly it's gonna be his final movie and i i really hope that's not the case i i really don't give a [ __ ] i i don't really care about kill bill i mean it was fine the movies were okay definitely not at the top of my list but if he's gonna do another movie and make it kill bill 3 i don't know i feel like that's such an obvious choice but uh who am i anyway i'm gonna call it here it's 7 hours and 11 minutes that seems like a good place to call it um thanks everybody for hanging out uh and uh we'll talk on uh we'll talk on friday enjoy your thursday if you're uh if you're in a storm hit area it's true i was saying this to perry earlier i did get messages from a lot of people that were in storm-riddled areas that had no power and they prioritized charging their devices so they can watch pcl tonight which is great um but you know i hope they also have power to you know do the things they need to do but um that was that was yeah that was that was nice uh okay last uh best keitel starring film i don't remember bad lieutenant i remember renting it and and i know there was a controversy behind it and there was two versions of it there was like a rated r version an unrated version i remember seeing it not understanding it as a kid and i'd have to watch it again to give an answer but scorsese starring film uh sorry kytel star uh starring film um do we count reservoir dogs he's not really the star of that um hmm that's a good question um sister act uh mean streets maybe i don't know he's such a good supporting character he doesn't really he doesn't he's not a as a lead i guess you'd go with bed lieutenant but i have no i have no memory of it really i'd have to see it again yeah i agree with johnny pretzels kill bill's least favorite but the charac yeah the carradine scene in kill bill 2 carrot is not in the first one it's carradine any scene he's in in the second kill bill makes the movie but um all right bye tracy uh we're gonna hear from tracy on sunday so uh no pressure or anything yeah pulp fiction is uh tell's amazing in that i'm gonna see i'm gonna see it again i'll i'll i'll make a i'll make an effort because i trust your judgment mumbles i'll make an effort to see bad lieutenant again at some point because i watched it through a kid's eyes and i think i only watched it because i knew like it had gotten pressed that it was like you know like really raunchy or like raw you know too too hot for theaters or something like that and i think i i rented it and didn't understand it or whatever but uh i'll watch it i'll watch it again at some point i'm gonna have to table it for when i get my shits together here because i don't have any i don't have any good movie watching environment here yet uh there's been so many things going on so but i will i will uh but okay thanks guys uh and i'll see you on friday for reals uh good night uh sleep well and um yeah we'll see ya we'll see you friday good night you
