well we may have gotten a small taste of it today but this time next week college football will be fully back in our lives as every team in America or at least every team that didn't play today have a clean slate and that includes the Washington State Cougars by now you probably already know their situation pressing on after most of the Pack 12 teams departed for a Payday but none of that really matters in the context of this season there's still 12 games to be played and a bowl game and the playoff are still on the table and the man leading the charge will be none other than John matier the red shirt sophomore quarterback was officially named the starter earlier this week beating out transfer zevi eek house now while Matia realizes this is a huge accomplishment there's not too much time to celebrate as week one against Portland State is looming but now the job begins you know like this team counts on me every day right and which I already wanted to prepare myself like they already did right but now it's real and we get we got a game next Saturday which is a blessing I'm so excited right but no it not a full relief cuz now the job begins okay the the John mattier that you see game one every time he's out there you know going through you know Gea field and and what we're going to ask him to do he's going to get so much better week to week excited about him leading our team and just like any other position I told them you know there's an expectation level of performance okay and zevi will be ready when and if called upon and uh I just really appreciate his character and and how much both of them have put into this
