can I be associated with the remarks about Betty birthday can I also uh join with my colleagues particularly my colleagues in Northern Ireland uh sending our love and support to the Caldwell Family and every single psna officer in uniform today standing up for our peace and democracy once we have some concerns particularly about the storm and break and we will study the detail of this as we go we are happy today uh that things seem to have moved I would say though Mr Speaker there's been an awful lot of talk particularly today and over recent months about the concerns of the dup and the unionist community it is important to remember that the majority of people in Northern Ireland oppose brexit and do want to see the benefits of dual Market access properly utilized will the Prime Minister agree with me that it's important now that his government support that and promote that to International investors well can I Thank The Honorable gentleman for his engagement with the secretary of state and myself over recent weeks and he is right there is a balance to be struck and the Good Friday agreement is about respecting that balance about the aspirations and identities of all communities and Northern Ireland and that is what we have sought to achieve with the framework and as I outlined earlier something that I and we have heard loud and clear from businesses in Northern Ireland is that they do value their access to the single Market they do value as all of us do not having a hard border between the Northern Ireland and the Republic and that is something that we have had to bear in mind as we consider these negotiations but I believe we have struck the right balance and the framework means that this agreement can command the support and consent from communities right across the Spectrum in Northern Ireland and I look forward to working with him and his party to deliver it
