all right so uh before we actually jump into this a question that I've been thinking about for a few days is how many times have you visited uh Michigan um we could be pushing that 20 range maybe a maybe maybe a little bit more um yeah I mean when whenever somebody asked asked me that question I'm like I just know each time I just know each time it it keeps going up so um it it might be around that 20 range if I were to take a take a guess but just just no a lot a lot yeah for sure a lot definitely yeah no yeah I I was I was trying I actually tried counting I got to about 15 I was like all right I don't even know but uh yeah so for those who don't know Trey Taylor is uh 227 quarterback out of Illinois uh one of the top Premier passers in the nation for the 2027 class and uh Trey we are excited to have you on man you are one of a you are definitely a community favorite we we've talked about you a little bit over the summer andan I know John has some questions we're gonna get into same things probably posted on Instagram so um yeah I mean Instagram or X is where you're mostly gonna see me awesome uh so everybody uh we're gonna ask Wolverine Nation just like you have with uh Micah just like you have with Andrew Marsh let's bump up Trey Taylor's social media let's get him some some additional follows okay um and thanks double Jackson Johnson AKA Double J uh here coming in the clutch with the link to the Instagram account too so we appreciate that okay uh so so first of all one that we we always like to ask uh just about you know kind of kind of helps us understand a little bit more about you so um so so every every athlete has influences in their lives it could be family could be other other athletes that you look up to uh colle you know mentors who are some of the people that you look up to who have helped kind of shape uh you as a person and as an athlete um so this how I this how I like to break it down so as as a person overall as you know before football before everything as an athlete I always like to say my parents just you know if you're ever around me you'll you'll see a lot of resemblance as who I am and it comes a lot of that comes from them um and then you know that that when I get in that mindset of it like it's game time a lot of that comes from my from my dad and then you know when I'm relaxed a little bit more a lot of it comes from my mom but you know the whole family here is winning and everybody wants to win um so you know we're we're always ready to go for anything um so that's where I say like my personality comes from now if you were to get me on like a like on a field and you know we're working and you know you want me to go through a defense or you want me to work a drill a lot of that comes from uh coach duly out of uh Detroit Michigan and then Steve Wilson out of North Carolina uh coach Wilson helps me as far as breaking down like film and uh defenses watch a whole lot of NFL football um and then Coach dly helps me as far as working the drill not like it's a drill though like it's a game time situation um so that's where that's where uh he he really comes in comes in play and then I'd say just being as you know as a recruit and knowing how to handle myself I I really give that to a lot of the kids I've been around as far as you kids from s mind s body like I I've been around Bryce Underwood for a whole lot now so he he's helped a lot as far as knowing how to become like a recruit that people people enjoy being around not that Hollywood star um that nobody nobody you know enjoys they're like ah you know they don't want to come up and approach you so I feel like those are like the really big people that that come in handy now there are a lot more other people but those are the the the main ones like the my starting five if you know what I mean yeah yeah definitely man all right so you like you you nailed your Supporting Cast you know and and obvious viously theyve they've been a part of your you know your life and in many different facets uh for different durations and uh you know they've made a lot of sacrifices along the way uh along your journey so what does it mean to you uh that you see that you're Supporting Cast uh doing so much for you as Trey Taylor the athlete and the person I mean it's it's amazing we we had a long summer and I know it I know it took away from what what people usually call Summer as far as relaxing from my parents but you know for them be able to sacrifice that and give up a lot of their time to be with me at these colleges to make sure I I needed make sure I needed what I needed to get out of this summer uh just goes to show a lot for me or for me and how much they support me really um and not only this summer they've been supporting me through my entire life as far as like if they they came up and straight told me you know this is a two-way thing so whatever whatever I'm willing to give up they're willing to give up the same amount and as soon as I stop stop willing to give up what I'm willing to give up um you know that that goes the same with my parents so you know they they've they've taught me a lot and I'm still willing to give up anything to make sure that I get to where I need to get and um a lot of that comes from them especially you know showing that that fire to go get what we want um and then you know from coach dly coach coach Steve Wilson and then Bryce they they really been with me for the past yeah I'd say about you know coach D has been with me for about nine years then Bryce for about seven coach Wilson for about five and they're there're they they know like oh this is this is something he really wants because they've been around me and they they've seen me say no like this is what I'm going to go do because I need to I need to do this to make sure I end up where I want to be so I feel like they they're now they've now seen me truly say that I I'm ready for whatever comes my way heck yeah man yeah excellent answer man love that and by the way the community here right now is giving you some love uh dependent fanatic's one of our moderators and a member here saying all the great things go get them Trey uh we'll all be there for you to to support so you you've got a you're now a friend of the of the of the channel friend of the network so uh you've got uh you've already got some some support in here um so with with all that said uh just going to ask a simple one um a lot of sports out there what made you choose football and kind of what went into the decision to choose football and the the success you've had so far um so really really was I I was really around football ever since I was born my dad always tells people when he when they whenever they ask like how long have I been around football he literally tells them you know since day one I came home from the hospital and I literally went to arena football game with him that night right so I've literally been around football day one um and it just kind of always stuck with me my dad played football and I grew up around it I was a huge basketball player that at one point you know that was kind of sweating me back and forth but Co hit and that's when I finally said like I got to go this is what I want to do um cuz you know you can't do anything with basketball when hit there was no gyms you know you can't really go outside all the parks are closed off but I mean with football you can go out to a random field and no he didn't say anything as long as you you know you can go get that working um between breaks on my zoom calls I I would go downstairs on my hard work floor and work on drops um in my socks so it helps me keep my balance right so those are some of the little things that kind of made me say like this is what I really want to do and you know I finished off basketball for my last two years in middle school and then I finally finally just said no like I got I need to really just lock in on football and I feel like that's what kind of made me say like this is the sport I love because I will it I showed myself that I was willing to do whatever I needed to do to get what I wanted to get definitely all right yeah that's I mean it's very interesting that Co kind of uh you know shaped your uh your lane that you went down but it was almost I mean a little bit of a blessing to disguise I guess because now you got to focus on right now it was kind of like it it it just like cleared everything up for me it was more like pushed all the noise away and made it between those two sports and then I I chose from there yeah that's upic man that's epic yeah so all right so walk us through the recruiting process Trey anything you know that you're okay with sharing uh you know what is it about Michigan that's sticking out to you over other schools and what you know how what is it like so far in the process you know being a 2027 um with with Michigan I mean like you said you've counted 15 times I've been there and each time I'm I'm meeting somebody new I'm doing something different uh they know how to show the love for sure and um like whether it's players coaches I mean it could be the equipment manager like somebody's always going out of their way to show like we want you here so that's always a positive because you know Michigan's been recruiting me for a very long time they offered me going into my freshman year so my eighth grade year um and they like that that just goes to show they really believed in me because they didn't really they weren't really throwing out many other quarterback offers around that age um and then as far as the recruiting process um it was just it was you know there there was those moments where it was sped up and then it slowed down and then It sped up right so that was a little that was a little weird for me cuz obviously I had never gone through it before truly um but I enjoyed it I'm kind of glad that it strung out so I was able to and it wasn't like a back to backto back thing with all of the with all the offers and recruiting so I was able to kind of already start to narrow down a little bit and really process the schools that have offered me and see what see what I like about them see what I don't like um and obviously I know this recruiting process is still going on but I mean so far it's been amazing and uh I'm glad it turned out the way it did especially with it being the summer and it gave me a little bit more time to process as opposed to being school year now I'm dealing with school I'm in season and I'm trying to deal not deal with but you know process what's happening right yeah yeah it's got to be a lot to juggle and and I definitely yeah definitely uh definitely everybody you know because because of everything because we talked to a couple people in this situation and like the you know the juggling Act is real and so I have a lot of respect you know for what you're what you're doing because thank you uh not a lot of time to to chill a and party and everything you're busy right yep um so we already kind of covered how many times you've been to Michigan but um what are you what are you looking forward to on your next visit so next time I go there I go there for the Michigan Texas game nice so great game yeah good choice yeah you know what I'm interested to see I'm really interested to see how they deal with a new team because the games like the games I've gone to in the past it was I I went to the Ohio State game um I i' I've gone to like I think I went to when they played Colorado it was it was like Yukon or something right so this is this going be a game where now like it's early in their season it's not their last game of the year and I'm interested to see how how they come out and and deal with Texas especially with them being such a such a highly ranked and anticipated opponent yeah definitely yeah that game is gonna be just insane uh so you know going back to recruiting a little bit you know what are some of the factors that are the most important to you when it comes to making decision I know you're 2027 so it's very early in the process but do you have some like key key factors for you that you're looking for yeah so my first thing is education and liking the school for the school um coaches tell you all the time you know when you're making this decision act like you don't play football because you don't you don't know what could happen right so make sure you like the school for the school um and academics for sure how are they going to help me you know in the long run when football's done cuz because realistically football could be done with like with you at the age of like 30 something and you got to think like you're 30 right you got almost 40 more years of your life what are you g to do with it so um for sure you got to education how how is that education and degree going to help me and then another thing is the offense how is the offense suiting me is it is it you know something that I see myself in but I don't see myself being uh successful in or is it something that you know I'm like oh yeah I could I could work with this or you know just make sure making sure that it fits my personality um and then the last thing is who I'm surrounding myself with right so I want to make sure I surround myself with people not only that are good coaches but also good teammates and then also good people off the field and on the campus um because I don't I don't want to go somewhere that you know I go there and I'm like oh these are none of the people I wanted to be around like these are these are not the kids that I wanted to come here and it's not the same feeling and I feel like with this recruiting process it's helping you see you know you could have a 25 right now that's going to commit to a school that you might go to and you can see how they're going to treat you because I'll be a teammate with them right so I feel like seeing how that works out and seeing how they how they are going to interact with you is a good is a good way to already start to process like that absolutely yeah I mean uh you know a little off script here but like are there some players you've gotten familiar with who are currently on the roster now that you are building a bond with yeah so I I samaj Morgan um yeah that that I mean I've known Sage for May going on three years three or four uh so I've known Sam for a while now um Alex I've been building that relationship with um I know i' I know Jacob Odin like honestly there's a lot of kids on the team that I've actually had a good relationship with and even on that last team from Tor Trevor Keegan to JJ to Illinois natives right so there's I I've been able to kind of build my relationship with kids not only in the program now but also you know in the NFL and and right doing their thing so yeah I'm sure JJ will always make time or you know availability he's he's I mean we've seen that with recent recruits uh like Brady Hart and others you know right so that's always good you know to have that uh alumni connection really so that's really cool you know to see that it's continuing yeah and you know what what I know about Michigan both uh having having gone there and graduated from there and also uh what I've heard from just in general the just everybody's going to be so supportive you know and it sounds like you've already got that started so um I I expect that'll continue as you kind of go through this journey here uh NE the next couple years so yes um so uh so um as you think through the rest of your high school career you think through you know what some goals might look like for you I mean what what are you hoping to achieve uh this up we got a season here coming up so what what are you hoping to achieve here as far as go next steps next next goals for you um you know for team goals state is like you know that that's what that's the end all Beall you know um it's a new team that we've had for since uh 2020 so we're going to have a lot of new faces um so we'll be interested to see how a new offense it'll be interested to see how defense is trying to attack us um we got a really strong Run game and pass game so it'll be fun to see how that is but state for sure for our team and then some personal goals is really just like be the best leader I can be but also make sure that I I want to at least throw for close to 4,000 yards and um you know touchdowns I don't really care as long as we're putting up the points right and we're winning games because that's that's that's really what matters um but y s for sure I want to be close to that 4,000 yard range and then um you know I I just I just feel like there's a lot of things that are personal goals that I you know I really really need to achieve this year and want to show because I've got a lot to show this year so I'm ready to get out there and start playing real football hell yeah definitely yeah uh I mean great goals man you seem to definitely be a team guy not a me guy which is great to hear I mean honestly Trey I think a lot of us uh not only you know me and John but others um in the chat you know we are you know you are you seem to be have your head on the right place you seem to be focused and driven which is where you need to be remain mindful remain humble and keep working which you seem to have that uh mentality but we're gonna pull up your your huddle tape here and you know just let our community know like tell us the kind of player you are uh with what fans would get if you do decide to pick whether it's Michigan or another school so I feel like what fans will really get is a kid that gets the ball ball out really fast um very smooth uh knows where to put the ball and like I'm a kid that you know if I miss I'm gonna come back and take a shot right I'm not I'm not scared of making a mistake as long as it's not like a consistent thing um I'm also someone that I feel like when I when I need to I can make a play as far as using my legs not only you know getting down the field but also maneuvering my way to make a make a throat open so I feel like really you're just going to get a kid that that that's gonna I don't know I don't know it's hard to explain but you're GNA get a kid that knows how to do a little bit of everything and I'mma do it to 100% that I can and I'mma get in and out of plays if I don't like him so that's one thing that you're going to see this year if you watch my film I'm going to be calling the plays um so if I don't like anything if I for if I'm seeing something I'm I'mma change the play and we're going to go fast and we're going to make sure that they know like we're we're gonna we're gonna see who really put that work in this summer because I know okay I was gonna ask you so your coach has given you the green light to do audibles huh my coach has given me the green light we are we're good to go excellent that's awesome yeah I mean just looking at your highlights He Man I mean you know for your age you know you're you're obviously Elite you know and and you know this you know but obviously you look at this tape well I got to work on this work on that but I mean you seem to have great throwing power uh you know you're getting the the ball to your guys in stride um yeah I mean you seem to be a very Advanced decision maker for your age so I mean I'm excited to see your tape this year um you know what are you know if you can share with our community what are maybe two to three things you're gon you're looking to work on this year um for sure last year I know a lot of lot of things was pocking presence I I feel like I I skap the pocket a little too fast when I I didn't exactly need to last year at times so this year that's one thing I really been working on and I think you that'll be a big thing you'll see change in my game um and then another thing is I just ball placement and the power power and spin behind my ball will be completely different than it was last year okay very good man well good luck on that my friend um all right John next well before I before I do that um one thing I noticed in addition to getting the ball out quick is that you're very successful throwing to your left which is something that in the past for us for for Michigan um hasn't always been 100% so I like the fact that you can you can really go any direction you can and and you can especially throw to your left because um I think that that does add to your versatility too yeah I mean for me throwing to my left is a whole lot easier than throwing to my right um not to say that throwing to my right is hard but throwing to my left like it I I can make some throws now like throwing throwing to my left is is what I do but throwing to my right is like that's when I'm I'm really I wouldn't say like overly concentrated but throwing to my right is when I is when I say I'm I'm more precise but I can make the crazier throws to my left and I know I know I know that might sound a little weird but if you watch that if you kind of watch my film and in a little bit of my tape I mean you see that a little bit I mean there's a lot of quarterbacks that have a side preference or a Zone preference so yeah definitely uh not unsurprising uh you know is I mean is your I mean I'm sure you know your goal is to become almost ambidextrous with your passing in the sense of you can do right or left or you know both sides right so right yeah definitely yeah and and and I think that probably one of the reasons they they gave you the green light on the audibles is exactly what Justin's saying here who's one of our members Justin thanks for your membership but uh Trey Taylor film looks like he can read the defense already that shows me he's ahead of the curve so that's definitely true I mean a lot of times it's not just reading it in the moment it's a lot of film work that goes behind that watching huddle um so like I I've already we played this Friday I've already kind of mastered what our opponent's going to do um and you know protection wise and what we want to do so a lot of it is just pre-work before we really get into the game and then when I get into the game if they want to throw a little curveball in there I'll just read that and chop it up on them so run or pass love it um so I know you mentioned a couple of the players um but uh but in terms of the coaching staff at Michigan I mean who who have you really uh you know connected with from a coaching staff perspective um Coach Campbell uh you know obviously one that I'm I'm curious about uh since he's running the offense and and the quarterback but but who on the coaching staff um have you kind of uh formed a bond with already so I obviously Coach Campbell um and Coach synagoga so those are the two I say I form the biggest bond with right now um I mean we miss there's a lot of coaches that also left that I was close with unfortunately so coach clink last year I was really close with um he's the one that really got me into Michigan and started that recruiting process there um but uh n Coach Campbell and Coach U I'm yeah Coach Campbell and Coach synagoga are the two right now that I'd say I have the biggest connection with and I'm still been my connection with a lot of the other coaches but you know it's now that rebuilding that relationship now because some of the coaches I've like first time I've ever seen them is was at that uh barbecue so rebuilding a lot of that connection yeah how was that barbecue by the way like what was your impressions of the barbecue the big house the barbecue was amazing it was uh I had Carter I had uh Carter there with me uh I'm sorry Brady Hart um Dante Bron was there um so I was able to connect with them see get to go through their thought process a little bit so um that was really fun and then get to hang out with them just as normal kids now so um it was good to get there and you know connect with other quarterbacks that that are kind of like me and then um I was also able to see the campus for the first time really so that was a good thing I really enjoyed the campus it was very pretty so um especially the business uh school they have a ginormous business business building yes Ross building um so the barbecue was amazing how was the food did it look as did it taste as good as it looked yeah I mean the food was the food was amazing we uh sorry my with the food was amazing uh I think I had some chicken and some mac and cheesee so I uh I definitely enjoyed it cool all right so uh my my last question uh Trey uh because and thank you for spending uh you know this amount of time with us really appreciate it uh you know what uh you know you are in this recruiting process and you obviously have some time to go I mean do you have a timeline you don't have to share if you don't want to share it publicly obviously but like do you have a timeline in your mind you know being a quarterback you know uh it appears these you know for quarterbacks their timelines are a little different than and other players like do you have that in your mind do you kind of know what you want to do yeah I mean obviously this this recruiting process from quarterbacks has gotten shorter and shorter as far as when they want to commit because a lot of these other positions are basing off where they want to go based off where the quarterback goes or who the quarterback is that's coming to the school so my the best ideal situation for me is to commit by the beginning of June um so I've got little bit of time but not too much but um that'd be the best ideal situation for me now that's if everything goes right you know 100% sure I want to go to school because I don't want to be one that you know says I'm gonna come here and then decommit later right I don't feel like that's fair to a lot of the coaches um so for sure I would say that if everything goes how I kind of want it to go and start to truly truly break down this uh recruiting process by the beginning of June for sure but something could change where it gets pushed back a little bit okay nice well thanks for sharing that and people are we have Keegan one of our members he's like June all right so uh they're liking that and uh moose likes it too and uh he did he did give a super chat so before I get to my last question uh as we wrap up here moose with the two uh very smart young man and I love his film so thank you moose throw the mo we have a moose Emoji throw the Moose Emoji in there anybody who uh who's got it uh we appreciate moose all right uh and then really final thoughts uh you know what what are your kind of final thoughts or anything else that you want to share with the Michigan Community here um you know as we as because because look this is a community that's really tapped into recruiting a lot like people really care about recruiting here uh T TJ is locked in Moose you know you know moose a little so so like yeah what what um what would you like to share as people are looking at recruiting for you know and just in general what would you like to share I would like to say that first of all I'm extremely blessed and thankful for all the support especially for Michigan fans um and then another thing I'd say is that so far this recruiting process from Michigan has been amazing um everything has been great and very smooth so you know now it's just this home stretch of making sure that everything you know can make sure that I can still really feel connected to them and you know make sure that they keep doing what they keep doing because at the end of the day they they'll have a shot so um I just want to say that so far everything's been going good and um yeah definitely and uh let everyone know you know where they can find you Trey in terms of Socials uh on my Instagram Trey qb6 and then on my ex qb6 Trey those will be the uh ATS if you want to find me on social media that's for sure where I'll be at very cool and Trey and you know shout out to your parents man they've raised an incredibly young great young man I mean you are F you are on path my friend but you know you know my my uh what I'll say is you know stay humble stay mindful keep working my friend because you on it uh you know keep climbing the mountain we greatly appreciate you uh coming on our show and Johnny any last thoughts for we let tro uh blue said it better than I could uh enjoy the process take it all in and you have an open invite you if you want if you have a plat platform you you have something you want to share with us in the future or share with the community uh let us know and uh bring you back but really appreciate your time man thank you for having me on here in go Blue yeah go BL try thank you go Blue all right we got we got a go Blue out of him so that's uh that I think that might be a first yeah yeah without us going first right I mean no listen excellent young man I mean I mean I don't know about you John but I was impressed from the first question to the last I mean he is on path uh his parents are doing a fantastic job raising him uh he seems to be I know not only focused not only focused on the field but off the field uh and and just I mean he's I'll tell you what John that looks like a Michigan man have I ever seen one but we'll see how it goes you know which we hope uh June it's it's aming blue I'll tell you that well something else uh Justin said it and and others that's a great human being um Absolut like that's and if you notice now we there's been a couple couple of these guests on do you notice the common theme is that they're all so respectful I know good head on their shoulders whether they're a current player whether they're a recruit um you notice that the the type of player that Michigan recruits it's not all about them it's about the team and how you know what what are their future goals um which I think is is pretty pretty cool absolutely um so before we bring on uh uh Ferris I I do just want to mention uh our membership program real quick uh because as you you might have noticed y'all that when Trey was on I was highlighting super chats and I was also highlighting select kind of member comments that made sense to highlight so if you become a member here at the voice of college football you get the Emojis but also we have a special guest on or when something's going on um member comments get priority in addition to Super Chat so you notice that uh that that happening so consider for just 299 becoming a member here at The Voice at Michigan at the voice of college football um and uh and and be part of what we're growing here absolutely all right without further Ado uh to help us uh get we we for for kind of part two of the mega show uh we're bringing in here uh host to smash the numbers you know him Ferris Khan in the house feris go Blue go Blue what an interview there it is I got I gotta I Gotta Wear this as well for for the special occasion the super mega Deluxe show with whipped cream nuts and a cherry um really yeah love the T-shirt as well awesome go for uh yeah Trey is not only a great player on film he is awesome um interview that was just a fantastic interview yeah that was a good one I mean I uh it's it's one of those he made uh he made that I mean he was just excellent uh so shout out to him hopefully we can have him on again I mean he uh I I feel like we we probably will I he's just very receptive so great kid uh but on to our Kenneth Grant OSU chase down tracker John and Fs we are at we have a 590 Gap right now we are making ground we are out of the 600s we are now under the fives the season is upon us so anyone who's new uh watching the show give us a subscribe we are trying to catch the Ohio State Chann at the voice of college football they are ahead of us unfortunately we don't even know why probably some hacking of the numbers YouTube you know how they do it um yeah so unacceptable for Ohio State to be ahead of us we are not letting that happen Kenneth Grant don't let Kenneth Grant down let Kenneth Grant catch Ryan Day subscribe to Michigan at the voice of college football and we will overcome this lead yeah it's uh it it's like I I like the fact that we're back on the right track and it actually went down 10 because I had I I revised it last time for uh last night's uh rant show SL dress rehearsal um and it was at 600 so thanks to you and the community for dropping it another uh to get it down to the the five 590 range and uh we're we're inching closer to uh being able to say we we beat Ohio State not just on the football field the last three years but also here at the voice of college football yeah there's not a thing they should beat us at uh not even Debate Club and actually they're pretty bad at debate so uh you know let's get a queen sweep here and get another dub absolutely uh and guess what folks got got another uh gifted membership this time from Tom buard so we appreciate Tom um for gifting somebody a membership there and whoever yeah I don't I need to pull it up but uh but yeah Tom is uh Tom Tomas gifted one so that's a those who stay would be Champions Mike Fort yep yes Mike Fort um so Mike Ford is a long long time friend of the show uh so so long and he's a mod and he so he's been around and uh we're actually yeah we're we're friends on social and everything so uh he he deserves this one okay so so this guy has been there for us so uh thank you and you you got your 33 days of those who stay will be Champions membership okay um so I promised everybody last night we were gonna most we were gonna knock out all of this talking and everything about stallions and NCAA and we're talking ball uh we'll talk a little documentary at the very very end but we're talking ball today and um and there's some major updates from both a position perspective and also um in general for the fall with Fresno State just four days away if I did my math right there four days away game of the season um so I've got some position battles ready queued up and ready to go but any other kind of high level uh Fall updates before we get to quarterback that you wanted to share yeah I mean I'm gonna just run through it John uh we can touch on any topics you have but the reason why is we have what essentially we have John is uh fall Camp is done the season is upon us we are here Ferris we could talk football Ferris has been for those who don't know Ferris has been just dying to talk he's so done with all this other stuff behind us these past few weeks he is ready for football if you guys saw text messages you'd be like all right FIS we're here baby we made it but uh all right so let's get it going because we have it we have fall camp wrapup we have conclusions and I also have uh I don't want to say predictions because I'm Gonna State them as facts into week one that we're going to give you we're g to tell you who's going to start where and what's going on uh we're gonna start with orgy orgy has maintained the lead throughout Camp he's been very consistent every week a fall Camp uh he's had a couple dips all fall camp but mainly uh consistent in progressing his decision his decision mak's improved his progressions have uh improved and Chiron Moore may not say it but I will he is qb1 and he will be starting Saturday against Fresno now there are some concerns in the community where they're like well shiron hasn't said anything yet you know what does that mean listen you don't show your hand you you know there's no need you play chess org's gonna start he's gonna be number one starting quarterback Saturday uh you know if Fresno sees this so be it uh take it but I don't think it's a surprise of them either shout out to orgy for earning it doing what he needed to do this camp and becoming qb1 uh now what I don't know is if uh Davis Warren will see second half action I don't know that but what I do know is uh org is the man and it's his team to run so we will see uh what goes there uh so exciting uh extremely exciting uh and then to continue on uh John we have another position battle that is really we we had this two weeks ago we had the Evan link news was creeping now there was some word Evan link was creeping uh into the right tackle uh battle and well can I hit on real quick can I just give my comments on on the quarterback so um yeah so I'm going to say two things I'm GNA say number one before we take our Victory lap on this I do want to say one thing about Davis Warren we should because I was wrong about Davis Warren and I'm gonna eat that okay because I said I don't know six seven months ago I thought he was GNA be bottom of the barrel you know denal might even be ahead I was so wrong Davis Warren killed at Spring ball he he put on a clinic at Spring ball and he made this extremely difficult and by the way he's still gonna play he's not gonna be maybe the starter but he's you're he's probably gonna play the fourth quarter against Fresno State uh knock on wood that that game goes the way that we H for him to play the fourth quarter um but I think he's going to see actual playing time um because he's got an arm and there could be packages I know that they're not going to do like the Kade JJ thing but there could be a package with like a deep a deep route concept or something Campbell's pretty good at those where he's utilized in packages uh he's not out of this completely in terms of you know at least being like a 1B or a a two uh you know qb2 and uh and and utilized in packages so look out for some Davis Warren but Alex orgy is gonna take that first snap and uh if you've been following Michigan Wolverines live uh Alex orgy's been been our guy uh you know in terms of who we thought was was going to be so uh keep it tuned to Michigan Wolverines live all right I I'll I'll jump in here for a second and first ask both of you do you think Davis Warren how many teams would he start at in in in the Big 10 do you think do you think he's better than Cade I don't know it's too hard to know because we haven't seen him play live action right I mean but but all indications out of Camp are he's had a hell of a camp he's played actually really well like this isn't Alex orgy uh earning the qb1 position because Davis Warren like nobody stepped up no Davis Warren played well we had that for you all all fall Camp too we've had those updates and it's it's true all the way to the end Davis waren played good ball so that's the thing too like Michigan Nation like Alex orgy has won the job but Davis Warren uh it's not because he wasn't good okay like that's that's what you can like really R your hat on so uh I don't know fa it's a fair question I just yeah I mean my my very first video for this channel was on this topic a two quarterback or potential of a two quarterback system and I said it could work if the players are super smart and they know the nuances of of each quarterback um I still think it's going to be orgy uh but I am not going to Discount the idea that Chiron Moore might have it's hard to tell if he's if he's bluffing or not uh with this so I've told you you know multiple shows in a row that I believe Alex orgy can complete a forward pass uh so I I still believe that it's going to be him but that did come across in a way that I wasn't expecting uh the way that he sort of definitively said that um there isn't a qb1 uh named yet because part of this is you have to get the o line comfortable and all that kind of stuff um so yeah I'm I'm a little surprised uh with that um we'll talk about it late we might talk about it later but with with Fresno State it also points me to the idea that um maybe there I mean if there is a pseudo competition in this game but with the idea that it's going to be orgy then maybe maybe uh they're not going to be as conservative as we think some people think they are in the Fresno State game because they'll literally be competing with each other so we'll see yeah we will see um yeah I mean it's we will see I don't know you know we'll definitely talk about that later in the show what our expectations are absolutely let's go to before we go to we're um Justin Super Chat actually leads right into Center and right tackle so first of all detective Loki uh Cong thank you for gifting Ferris not fa not this Ferris but Ferris with an E with 30 days of those who stay will be Champions membership thank you to that Loki's been our uh one of our biggest gifters in terms of OA he's been Oprah lately yeah he's been our Oprah very very true and uh to help us lead into your Intel on Center and right tackle Justin with the five right tackle he thinks is Evan link uh and the center position is up in the air out of the the three players so uh take us away TJ on the center and and uh right tackle in there Justin uh there stealing a little bit of my thunder uh yeah so that is what appears to be happening so what we have and we we two weeks ago we brought up that Evan link was making a battle out of it it wasn't just a Andrew Gentry Jeff Percy battle it's Evan link the red shirt uh freshman who is 66 328 pounds okay this dude is a mountain um he appears to have played consistently well uh the last few weeks of camp and he has positioned himself and there is belief that he will be the starting right tackle this Saturday there is belief that that is going to be the case um Andrew Gentry just and we've had this we've had this since spring John Andrew Gentry has just been a little inconsistent um he has he's had great days he's had other days that weren't so good um it's not that he's been terrible it's just the consistency is not there Michigan expects consistency out of its offensive lineman and believe it or not Evan link who was a highly thought of recruit uh coming out of uh I can't remember high school it's pretty famous but uh uh out of the East Coast there I think in the DMV area um I think I want to say Gonzaga I could be wrong though it's something one of those schools over there but uh yeah Gonzaga and DC okay so I got it okay yeah I knew was over there so yeah I mean he was listen we he has great feet great for his size he has amazing feet actually so we will see I mean if that is the case um that is going to be interesting to see because we may have uh in in a week ago or two weeks ago talked about uh an offensive tackle that kind of came out of nowhere and shut down Chase young I couldn't remember his name and that was Mayfield um if we we could have another and I'm not saying he's that you know just yet we will see what he does on the field but uh he may very well be our Cornerstone offensive lineman of the future man so shout out to him great job looking forward to watching him on Saturday um and then what I want you know what I want to touch on you know because we're gonna hit on offense first John the offensive line has really played well Michigan fields that there is not going to be a step back in terms of play from the offensive line they feel great about uh giovan aladi and Percy um to touch on the center battle it is a krippin uh gice rahee Anderson but it's more gudy and krippin which is quite interesting it appears gice uh who transitioned from defensive line to offensive line has outplayed Rahim Anderson which is very interesting so we're going to see uh you know what unfolds now I will say um what I have heard is that krippin will start that's what I've heard I I so that's from my guy um we will see though uh we'll find out together because I don't know I do know here's what I do know though here's what I can share uh this these battles at right tackle and Center these are not done these are gon to go into go into the season they're going to judge these guys um and they're going to it's similar we kind of saw last year where they kind of let guys play so many uh reps or let a guy play until he showed that uh maybe he wasn't ready for the position so be it I mean they're definitely going to give these kids an opportunity in terms of Evan link it appears to be the case um I do think Greg krippin is gonna get first run at Center and we're gonna see how it goes but the good news is uh gudy is making noise uh the backup center which is interesting because we've all been talking about Raheem Anderson who was I believe the number one or number two Center coming out of the nation uh when we got him uh out of Detroit and uh but g i appears to be legit I don't know we'll find out I mean it's new to me in a way because I kind of didn't see it coming I know he transition offensive line so we're gonna find out together if that's the case but great for him and then to continue on the offensive line before you know we can hit on whatever you guys want to hit on Ferris and John but uh chenning Goodwin News man chenning Goodwin who uh listen I I'll say it I was not high on Channing good come out of high school I was a Jordan ship fan um and Channing goodwi obviously he a legacy he's now in Michigan um John you have been you've been pretty high on chaning Goodwin since he's come yeah so uh well good news because where it is Cheney Goodwin uh is exceeding his ranking he's playing very well and he may he may uh see some field action at some point this season um so you know good on him man you know shout out to that uh and yeah I mean that's that's where we are offensively I mean you know whatever you guys want to hit on yeah uh just a quick question uh because I had link as my um left tackle back up and you're you're saying right tackle right so so he's position change there uh potentially uh for him uh depth is really important so this so this is great you know the fact um the fact that a lot of uh players are competing for fewer positions yeah I mean yeah well that's that's the thing and that's kind of been the theme of camp is Michigan has found out this fall camp that we at more depth than we realize uh you know we're going to get into it on the defensive side of things I have some notes on that as well but even offensively uh the offensive line seems be in great shape we have guys who are literally pushing these starters um and it's not because they're not good now on the right tackle I will say there's inconsistency issues that's real at center it's not that there's inconsistent issues it's just there's literally uh some very good players uh battling it out right now so what's going on at center it's not an inconsistency issue it's just we have some Talent going on we have a talent battle going on right now so that's great um so find unlike uh Ohio State our Center should be able to snap the ball pretty well regardless who wins the job yeah I would think so I would think so maybe they could take notes or uh you know look at the all 22 and learn some things but uh uh John anything on offense before we move on the defense um yeah I'll keep mine real brief because I know we got Caleb waiting and I know you still want to cover defense and we have three contributions so um I'll just say uh I'm surprised about link I think it's I think it's fantastic because that means he's outplayed the others he's outplayed Gentry he's outplayed Percy he's contending better against the elite of of Michigan's defense and that's only good when you go down the stretch to the to the last game so I love that um great to see that krippin is at least holding in hanging in there um but if someone beats them out guess what that means they're better because it's a meritocracy um we're g let's get to defense in a sec but uh yeah so we got defending the Natty with the two it's gameweek hell yeah it is uh GT with the with uh who has become a leaders and best member brand new member welcome to leaders and best enjoy your emojis enjoy your uh badge and uh and we'll shout you out um as a member so so thank you GT for that yeah welcome to the community man appre appreciate you GT um and Justin with the five the new center guy I'm I'm guessing I'm guessing would that be good I would be pushing defensive line guys around he is the strength and he is the mean streak yeah I mean word it is he's uh looking pretty damn good uh quick feet uh which is interesting because uh defensively you know he was maybe on the slower side but an offensive lineman he might just be right right so I mean obviously if the Intel is true out of an it's really it does appear to be true though I mean like it's not some uh like this it's legitimate so there's there's definitely some smoke to this good I stuff uh it's it's it's it was not on my radar though like I did not see this coming Evan link we were aware of this good I stuff is just it's also nice to hear and it you know like I said it's not because crippin's not consistent because krippin is consistent it's just good I is looking damn good so uh shout out to them and then on the defense some more guarante sheeds I'll give you some guarante sheeds you're number two corner is Jer hill now we've kind of known this for about two weeks now uh because we talked about it seems like the battle's over um it's over Gyer Hill is your quarterback too uh which is huge because he essentially won this and and again this is one of those where it's not an inconsistency play air hall is actually pretty damn good they feel very good about air hall they feel like air hall is gonna give us a Josh Wallace level quality at corner and as you guys know Josh Wallace was our number two corner on their National Championship caliber defense last year well guess what he's now your third corner so um yeah so Jer Hill has taken the torch for CB2 to play opposite of will Johnson uh shout out to that that's gonna be exciting to see them hold down no fly zone um and then this is your weekly Josh bar or Jon baram is still a problem update uh every single week of camp we have told you that this dude has been uh a complete Monster uh he's really wow everybody um and it did not stop the final week of camp at all he's made big plays and listen the we and we we had this like I'm sure some others had this as well but we've been saying this for a while it appears there is an upgrade over Junior Coulson and it's j Sean baram okay and uh what's crazy is and here's why I said we had this because it's becoming uh more uh vocal out of an arbor which is insane like there it's not just us or people talking about the team there's some coaches who are feeling that we may have an upgrade at the linebacker position um now we known behind the scenes but you're starting to hear it more regularly now um how I mean I mean could you imagine if we have an upgrade at the linebacker position after last year's defense I mean that's just something so uh be on the lookout for that uh that's exciting can't wait to see him and Housman uh playing together and then uh TJ guy is your third defensive end in the rotation uh that is confirmed so you will see a lot of TJ guy this year we've had that too but I'm what I'm doing is I'm giving you positional roles that are being confirmed out of camp that you could be looking forward to out of week one he is your third defensive end and then here is the big one right here in my opinion because there was a lot of belief that Michigan's you know the strength of Michigan's defense is it rotates its defenders in and out it keeps them fresh which gives them the boa constrictor ability we'll have no fear because Michigan feels extremely confident they have seven to eight defensive lineman that they can rotate and those seven eight defensive linemen are Grant Graham en Nowa ran Benny uh Stuart Moore and guy so there's there's your seven and and listen there is some belief Trey Pierce may also crack into this rotation as well we've talked about that and Trey Pierce has continued to play well in Camp so shout out to that as well yes we're gonna get to that we're gonna get to that Keegan you just got ahead of my linebackers that's actually next uh yeah so uh Jimmy rer is your third linebacker uh in the rotation and what they are looking at is a really a fiveman linebacker crew with uh Jimmy rer uh hood and Sullivan uh obviously we have Housman and Barham who are going to be the starters but you will see svin and Hood also getting some reps uh at the position but uh Jimmy reuer is Jimmy rer is your your uh top death linebacker at the number three linebacker of the defense we will see a lot of him this year he played he started playing a lot more towards the end of the year last year so looking forward to that and then the conclusion for the defense and I even have a special teams update for you guys this defense will be elite again this season is going to be uh pretty damn good uh we're all looking forward to it we kind of knew we knew knew going into spring it would be fall Camp has only confirmed it the boys have stepped up the boys have gotten better they have developed and we are four days away from week one and I have your special teams update before I give the special teams update do you guys have anything on defense or do you want me to hit this last Point uh tell us about who's going to replay or did you say it already um Mike sanil yeah oh so I didn't bring it up but I the reason why I haven't brought it up is because we have essentially Zeke be has won that position okay that's what I was asking yeah okay but no that's fair you know and I actually thought about putting him in the notes but I didn't want it to be redundant because like the truth is like we're talking about a lot of guys we have hit on all four weeks of camp but the reality is I'm giving you week toe updates it's just been consistent consistent these guys have really performed Zeke Barry is your starting Nickelback Jaden mcburrows is your backup Nickelback and Jaden MCB is also a good in Camp Wesley Walker is also a good in camp at safety uh it is Quinton Johnson and mcari page starting at m page was my other question yep okay yeah so we're looking good there there's belief out an arbor mcari pagee is going to be in for all big 10 caliber season he's looking very good he's very he's understanding the defense very well um with M wink marale now running the show so yeah I mean look I I think this defense is I think it's G be better than last year and that's nuts and and wait till Rob Moore comes back too uh in November sometime because you only you had an Big 10 caliber safety to this defense I mean we're talking serious here so yeah uh and then I I'll just hit on this last thing John you can you can give us your thoughts on all that uh Dominic zavada the kicker that we got the transfer kicker I believe out of Arkansas state right John yep NFL caliber League love it NFL caliber leg 50 that after Samaha kind of was inconsistent in the spring game yep so 50 yarders he's consistent a lot of power mentally strong there is talk out of an arbor this is an NFL caliber leg that is what I got uh from my guy and uh yeah dude I mean I'll tell you right now you add the defense with our kicker and then if if orgy can really be as advertised coming out of Camp one for H of a season boys absolutely Ferris real quick point and then we're gonna bring in Caleb perfect uh I just in my analysis the weakest link for Michigan was was the nickel position so if uh Zeke Barry is taking over and he can be some some uh some level of repl big shoes to fill with with Mikey there but uh uh and then Mari pagee was in my top four of players to watch in terms of breakout so that and then obviously these have already broken out the other ones Grant Graham and will Johnson yeah so yeah they they might they might do a thing or two uh for sure um all right uh so Caleb's been uh very patient we really appreciate okay sorry uh real quick $1.99 yep sorry the Netflix Conor stallion's documentary we understand man it's it's acceptable we no worries Rus thanks for joining the show though love it all right so with all this said uh you know we've we've put in the backdrop here for Fresno State kind of the uh the Michigan side of things we're gonna hear now about the Fresno State side of things because we've got an expert here joining us and we've got uh Caleb nail from beware of Bulldogs podcast Caleb thanks for joining us oh you're muted my friend thanks for having me uh I muted myself so my you wouldn't hear my two-year-old and of course I forget about it but thanks for having me guys I appreciate I learned a lot listen to you guys when I was in the background so I'm ready now oh yeah yeah we are too man we are excited for this matchup uh you know uh you know we know uh Fresno State's a very quality uh group of five team um you know we're looking forward to learning more about it from you absolutely no this game is going to be a blast I'm I was W looking at you guys and you guys got to rub it in everybody is wearing a 2023 Champs hat shirt something in the background like I I get guys I get it yeah it was a good year man it was I would brag about it too a little chaotic yeah hey Caleb I moved to California so I'll give you that so I'm in Carl so oh perfect all right well welcome to the dark side so uh to set the stage here um so to let everybody the first thing we like to do we like to let let everybody know when they can expect things to happen right so this is happening on uh NBC Peacock uh 7:34 PM Eastern kick on Saturday and um and then you know we we've got kind of you know to get your perspective on Flor uh Fresno State and kind of what the you know where you're at um we've got kind of the line here 21 and a half uh you know over under 45 and a half but but I want to ask you real you know but beside just the the the betting lines like talk to us about the the general Vibe of the team right now um and how high you think emotions are going to be running with uh now that uh Tim Skipper has taken over uh Fresno State um since the the prior coach uh you know due to health reasons stepped down I I'd love to just hear kind of where things where things are at there on the transition from coach Tedford to uh to Tim Skipper and and kind of how the team is feeling right now can you hear me yep y okay I so what I heard was about Tim Skipper taking over Fresno State and the emotions behind it and the yes the kids and the the fan base so I'll give you a little story of what happened we went to a kickoff dinner okay a couple weeks oh probably weeks ago or so and we're sitting at the table and they were introducing Tim Skipper to all the big money donors and things like that well what I could tell you from my parents generation and the generation before them is they absolutely love Tim Skipper skip was a tiny linebacker who and I believe if the story may be correct you might have to double check me on this but when Pat Hill came in skip said or I believe Pat Hill came in skip said I'm a scholarship player Pat Hill said yeah no you're way too small and you play linebacker no after the first practice or after the first practice skit made every tackle he said yeah you can have your scholarship back that's fine that's the type of person he is today he attacks everything the when they introduced him to the donors and the people at this dinner he got a great Applause but it didn't end because the entire team was standing up in the back screaming and yelling they absolutely love him he's a players coach he's very smart he's driven he really represents I would say he represents the valley well he's he was overlooked uh the Central Valley in California we I don't know if we are but we we think we're overlooked you know blue caller workers here working in the fields a lot of farming going on here and so we It's a Grind out here and to play football out here we believe we're looked over to play football you got to be tough skip is that guy he was raised that way he played that way and our players appreciate that and he UND they understand that he gets it to be in their shoes and so the fan base uh the kids the players absolutely love him we're really excited for Skip and by the way I should mention he played there he coached there for Pat with Pat Hill then he left he did his own thing uh but then he came back and he coached under Tedford and he's been here it's so nothing really is changing a lot of people looking past Fresno State because well we have a new coach well everything is really the same same OC same DC same special teams uh the only thing new is a tight end Coach I believe and that's not going to make the biggest difference the culture is still the same everything is the same so everyone is really excited it just came out this path I don't know if you would call it offseason but we had the most giving ever to Fresno State athletics so people are fired up for Fresno State football one and Athletics two the rest of Athletics so we're really excited did you guys lose any players in the transfer after the coach switch we did not nice yeah I was I was on the lookout for that and I didn't see anyone so that's that's I mean that's a testament to the culture there yeah there were rumors of players being offered but I can't say that for if that's true or not but there's rumors of that of course we all know what's going on uh but yeah they all stay they all love Skip and they're I mean these guys are brothers they love each other and you know just being able to talk to these players uh it's a special group it just so happens we have to start with the defending national champs yeah tough first game I mean Caleb one thing that you said that stuck out at me and then I'll let Ferris give any any points but one thing you said that stuck out at me is that the culture the the general program is is staying the same and while it's very different circumstances uh to Michigan I mean Chiron Moore being selected as the head coach uh after being the OC the oine coach and kind of going up through the program meant again the same thing like the culture of Michigan was not drastically changed uh more coaches obviously left for the Chargers and for the Seahawks um in our situation but I I see what you're saying Caleb from the perspective of keeping keeping the culture intact um you know that's important and I'm glad you guys have been able to do that yeah and and speaking about culture there Caleb um Fresno State doesn't seem to get intimidated you know in a lot of games so uh do you think that's due to the culture do you think they uh they're about they're able to punch above their weight class hopefully you're still there Caleb yes yes I'm here I can hear you uh okay yeah no I yeah grit is the word that comes to mind and that we use a lot um I mean I I think people talk about the pat Hill days when he was coach here but it really started when Sweeney was coach here and I mean we had guys all over the field NFL talent I mean should be Hall of Famers NFL Hall of Famers Henry lward guys like that they punch way above their weight class I mean you've I think it came out today eight players made 53 man rosters in the NFL former Fresno State players um and maybe more than that so I mean we this is a special place for sports it's a special place for football and this team year in and year out other than a couple when I was in college was competing for conference championships and that is the expectation in Fresno we are not only going to compete for conference championships but when we go play the USC's the UCLA the michigans of the world are last year Purdue we're going you're going to get our best punch and it's up to you if you want to bounce back so and I think that's just the culture of that they have established since coach Sweeney and Tim Skipper is only going to continue that culture I mean because he was part of it he is a Fresno State Bulldog I I had one other question and that was um are you looking forward to your offense against our defense or or your defense against our offense I I'll say from our perspective you know I'm I'm excited to see our our offense play against your defense but but I'm just curious on your end go ahead I I would agree with you I just because of the question uh at quarterback for you guys uh if you want to say question or not I mean not we said yes last night org's gonna be the guy so yeah so we're talking orgy and then you have your quart uh tight end lovelin and Donovan Edwards we're really excited to watch those guys but I think the most overlooked team in the Mountain West and the side of the ball that's overlooked the most is Fresno State Defense I think you know we had a five-star High School recruit from USC Cory Foreman transfer he's a an edge rusher uh dvo Bridges is returning we have good interial interior defensive lineman our linebacker core is very deep this year and very experienced I would say we have the two best corners in the Mountain West cam Locker is coming back from injury he was out last year and so I mean and I I mean I'm a little biased we had him on the pod great kid by the way Ken Griffey he's related to Ken Griffey Jr I believe is his nephew nice so but freak athlete and then two returning safeties so our defense should be good it shouldn't be overlooked now the biggest question mark If you really want to know if everyone H the biggest question mark for Fresno State is our offensive line and that's what's terrifying is your dline is deep and very good now I'm just hoping that we do something that Georgia Tech did and could do some pre-ap snap motion uh I I would I would say Michigan's defensive line is better but you know that's the biggest question mark is our left tackle position and can we get a push can we get Mikey Keen enough time but I am more interested in watching our defense go up against your guys's offense where I would say there's more marks on the Michigan offense than the Michigan defense got it yeah that's fair uh well and Justin uh well what Justin wants to hear about the offense we can start with the offense uh thanks for the Fiverr does does Fresno State play spread offense and I'll I'll chain off of that just to be like regardless of what What offense it is um you know who are the kind of pie people we should be keeping in mind when we're watching yeah it does I'll start with the question does freso State play spread offense it's I would say he more of a multiple uh okay so our OC coach mccan Pat mccan he's this is his second third year he's newer I believe it's his second year calling plays uh so I think he's starting to understand more of our strengths what he is is what he likes to do um and by the way this is the first season he's going to be calling plays from the field so do we play the spread somewhat yeah sometimes uh Mikey Keane is okay there's been big Improvement I'll start with this there's been big Improvement in Mikey Keane's body he's sculpted his body more he's a lot stronger there was a lot of talk you know he needs a stronger arm he has to be quick with his reads because last year didn't have a lot of time to throw the ball so he was hit a lot so then his he some people said he was injury-prone well it's hard to stay healthy when you get hit every other play so I mean Mikey Keane obviously very experienced very talented quarterback he's the number one name that people are going to look for but when it comes to I say our top players Malik shrod our running back is threat number one um I would say if you want to stop Fresno State you're going to have to stop Malik whether through the passing game or or on the ground um and that's why it's key for our o line to have success because we have to give we have to open up some holes for Malik he's very slippery he's quick um and then we have a nice onew punch with Elijah gilam he's our backup running back it's going to be different tackling because Elijah will run you over Malik is going to Juke you out Elijah's gonna run you over so you're gonna have to uh they're going to have to notice that and make adjustments so I think those are two running backs and um Malik is really threat number one through the air Jaylen Moss young younger guy uh very good we are missing our big tight end he is dayto day or they say week to week so we don't know if he's going to play and that's Josiah Freeman he's our tallest wide receiver who was projected to be on the two deep he wasn't listed in the two deep this uh yesterday for the game so we're hoping he gets there but it's looking like it probably not and I wouldn't be surprised if the coaches just rest him this game and get ready for conference play um so then that leaves us with macalena and shadon James transfer from Idaho State and railan sharp transfer from Missouri State all of these guys are shorter shorter slot style wide receiv receivers so they're a lot quicker they're not going to go I mean Jaylen Moss might argue with me but they're not going to go win jump balls against Michigan DBS so there's going to be I think a lot of underneath routes short to Mid routes ran and uh and then we're going to have to open that up with the running game so I mean those are the guys we really looking out for um our starting left tackle from last year the guy who started last year Jacob sper TS ACL last season and he's going to be out this game so there is a right now kind of an open competition for left tackle which isn't isn't fun to see especially going up against a d line like your guys is so I don't know if that answers your question but those are some names for you guys to keep an eye on I would say Malik sherro number one how much time is Mikey King getting from the o line and then what happens with our or what does our coaching staff do with smaller quick wide receivers across the board so uh we got a question from Justin two2 Super Chat do you think they'll throw against will Johnson so what do you think do you think you guys will test our uh All-American corner or do you think uh what do you think fres State's game plan will be uh in terms of offensive uh strategy I I think it's going to have to be play action um yeah and I mean what that's going to have to be set up with Malik sherro and Elijah gilam getting some you know three four yards on first down not not saying that's gonna happen but I think if we really want an opportunity to test will Johnson and very good DB room uh we're gonna have to think that we're running make them think we're running the ball I think that gives us our best chance um and then that also opens up our tight ends in in Jake bous and Cameron beum who are very big and strong tight ends um that they'll be able to bang and the the problem is is that you know I'd love to say we're going to use our tight ends but we're probably gonna have to use our tight ends to block so I'm thinking we're g to run more play action underneath routes to our quick wide receivers and that will hopefully open up the Deep ball or you know we slip Malik out in a screen every once in a while it's it's hard to say right now but that is my best bet yeah so what are your expectations for this game what do you think it um um optimistically what do you think this you know what's it going to be like at halftime what what do you think it'll be like at the third quarter you know for Michigan fans we pride ourselves and being kind of the boa constrictor and even if teams are kind of hanging around at halftime we take care of business business in third and fourth quarter do do you see it like that or do you see you know give me your sort of optimistic take on uh what you think will happen uh if everything goes right for Fresno State halftime third quarter end of third quarter and end a game yeah halftime I expect us to be in it um ju if it's the same Michigan that it has been then I expect us to be in it with you're running the ball a lot and you know tiing taking the time down lot of possession uh I expect us to be in it now if Mikey can play a clean game and we don't turn the ball over I expect I expect us to be in it into the fourth quarter if we can play a clean game um I realistically I I do I expect us to cover now I I'm a homer and I'm extremely biased but this is the one of the few times where I think it's going to be really hard for us to win um I would like us to keep it under three scores and if we lose by 17 10 points I would be very happy I would I mean I think that would say a lot for going to the end of the season if we're competing for a Mountain West championship and we have one out after Michigan like hey look we played Michigan tight for almost the entire game and let's just say you score a garbage touchdown and win by 20 I think that helps us a lot so so realistically I expect us to cover I think it would be I think it's a two-score game maybe a three-score game maybe win by 17 points um and the reason I say that is because it's week one everybody's figuring stuff out um you know all all that we're going to need is you know orgy to have misread something underneath cam lockage picks it off pick six or know something like that and all of a sudden it's it's a closer game than it really feels like like Michigan probably dominates the whole game but it's closer but the scoreboard shows that it's closer that would be my guess but you know last night I predicted you know us to knock one through and win 2726 so I'm just saying wait so wait minut we got prediction hold on we're getting ahead of ourselves we got predictions in a little bit here we'll get back to this uh yeah two more on two on two more on your offense that are super chats Justin with the five do you think Fresno State's quarterback can figure out Michigan's pressure and Blitz packages um that was that was kind of our conversation with our in our preview we recorded last night so I'm kind of giving away predictions but that's coming out tomorrow uh that was kind of our topic of conversation because yeah with them knowing that o line has been our number one issue for the past couple of years and our starting left tackle is out and I would say arguably our best lineman is out in Jacob sper there's going to be a lot coming so do I think we can figure out pressure and Blitz so I think we could figure out yes I believe in our coaching staff we could figure it out and we can figure out the pressure and Blitz packages now can we stop it um that's another thing I I it's gonna be tough and that's we're really gonna have to rely on the short passing game a quick passing game and that's why I I mentioned play action but it's also Al worrisome because play action takes time so we're going to have to do something to set those things up so so realistically probably not uh but it depends on where we double and are we are we keeping Jake BST and Cameron beum into block if that's the case then yes then it's on our receivers getting off the line and getting open I agree with your play action point I think that if you're gonna if you're going to get anything going on offense I you got to go play action you got to go boot legs you've gota you got to create some some opportunities out of nothing almost and just and and create it through the plays versus like out physical in Michigan I I I just don't see it I think it's got to be like a and I I don't mean to compare you to Colorado but early in the Colorado season with uh Shawn Lewis as offensive coordinator he designed a lot of things that were actually really um that that allowed Colorado to punch above its weight and like can and like cause problems for teams that they really they had no business but they they they it caused problems for like you know some of the top of the country because of what he was doing so uh one of those Concepts was the play action bootleg one of those and rollouts U you know those are the types of things that um that allowed that team to you know have some success early in the season then he got demoted uh but uh but at least uh yeah I agree with you there Justin also has another question do you really think Fresno State can run the ball on Michigan defense all game uh I think we just established that uh we're going to be that that would need to be creating some plays aside from physicality but uh you know feel free to elaborate there if we're g to run the ball on Michigan all game it's I mean I would go back and watch the GE Georgia Tech's first drive on Florida State that's how we will have to do it a lot of pre- snap motion I keep everybody on their heels because we're not going to line up and say it's your guys against our guys and we're gonna run down your throat it's just not going to happen know I watched Michigan do that to Penn State Penn State couldn't keep up when they when Michigan did that to Penn State and Penn State there they got some legit players and I don't think we can do that so it's going to take a lot of pre- snap motion um disguising things things sliding your protection different ways uh and by the way I I wouldn't say Mikey Keane is has the mobility that hannes King uh has so there's you know there's a lot of difference there so I'm not saying that we're going to do that but we're gonna have to disguise a lot and do a lot of pre- snap stuff so it's going to be tough for us to run the ball on Michigan uh so no I don't really think FR State could run the ball on Michigan's defense all game would I love to yes I'm that I'm old school kind of guy like run it down your throat that's Fresno State so we'll see uh but no it's it's not going to happen we like to throw the ball a little more any any com final comments from TJ or Ferris on the uh frent State's offense before we switch to defense uh no I mean is there any well is there any injuries we should I mean you talked about the tight end potent potentially you know not playing week one is there any other players who might be questionable or um you know our you know that questionable to play week one that we should be aware of U sorry it wasn't the tight end it was one of our wide receivers Josiah Freeman yeah Josiah Freeman's our taller uh 63 jump ball guy uh so he is questionable and then our left tackle is out but other than that offensively we're good to go there so I mean I I am GNA Miss sper and Josiah Freeman they're probably my two favorite players other than I mean Jaylen Moss is very good but I I like height so so your left tackle is gonna be out are you that concern you or yes yes very much okay I mean do you know about your like who's back who's filling that role are you familiar with them or yes I am so torian penright is the listed starter and then we had a transfer come in not last year but two years ago Kingsley Ugo from Kansas State so on the to deep it is listed tan penright or Kingsley Ugo so I don't even think our coaches know who's going to start they put or that could be a problem for us um the other thing that we have seen was last year or two years ago trying I think it was last year the first game we had our two deep come out excuse me this was two years ago our two deep came out and when it came to the o line we had five different starters run out on the field than what they put on the two deep and this is the same coaching staff that did that so I I couldn't tell you that this is going to be the exact starting offensive line that comes out that walks out on the field Saturday but it's going to it's most likely going to be those starting five that are listed U unless they move somebody that was just say backing up the right tackle over to left tackle things like like that I don't think that will be the case but they reserve the right to change their mind up to game time so um now the guys starting at left tackle this this weekend are both seniors they have experience they have snaps but it's going to be tough it's gonna be really tough we got a super chat from Justin five Super Chat he says Fresno State will not confuse Michigan's defense at all and our defensive Edge players will lock down uh lock down the out run plays um yeah you know we got some uh feeling a little conf our fans are a little confident uh I'm sure you can understand as they should be you guys won the National Championship feeling confident feeling confident uh yeah John so I think you wanted to did you want to hit on uh Fresno's defense versus our offense yeah um well thanks thanks to Justin for contributing a couple times here really appreciate that um but yeah so here's the thing um I don't know if you were here when we were talking about the the fact that um we so so I think the conventional wisdom was going to be going into this season that Michigan's defense was just going to be so dominant that Michigan's offense in practice wasn't going to be able to really contend as much defense would win I thought defense would win like every every time that they played um but what's actually happened is that Michigan's offense has beat the defense in multiple multiple times which surprised the hell out of me because I I didn't think that was going to happen so the line is is is holding up better than you know early than than we thought um and just in general things seem to be jelling uh I would love to hear what kind of the the game plan might be for Fresno State's defense to contain um especially now that we're thinking orgy Alex orgy is going to be qb1 but of course they're not going to say anything until snap one of that of that game um I don't think they're I don't think they're gonna well they might they might they might bounce but I don't know I think they might play some Jiu-Jitsu we'll see there's there's some word maybe tomorrow said maybe Wednesday but then he said maybe the day before or maybe right before so we'll find out together you know we'll find out um but the bottom line is what what do you think the plan might be because be you know have there would need to be a QB run that would need to be contained obviously the Run game with Edwards uh khil um the the coulston Loveland six foot five tight end who's being used as a receiver and a tight end um how does what what first of all tell us a little bit about Fresno State's defense is it like more of a blitz is it more of a zone is it more what's kind of like the style of the defense and you know who do you who should we be looking out for on that on the defensive side yeah we do a lot on on defense we will we will play whatever defense benefits our players the most uh coach Coyle he's our defensive coordinator he spent a lot of time in the NFL he is not afraid to move things around change things up I spoke with my co-host his name is Caleb as well yesterday we were throwing things out there and in our opinion we think a 4-3 defense would be best against Michigan just be stack seven in the box now what we tend to do is we have a nickel so we really run a 425 nice but we have three very good linebackers that I would love to see on the field uh that are one is very good in coverage his name is Phoenix Jackson Tu nura is was a transfer from USC he's was he didn't play a whole lot last year uh he's back this year he's actually been named captain he's very good uh I'm excited to see what they do with him uh they could Blitz him off the edge or he will go play Edge rusher he can also play linebacker excuse me and then Malachi Langley he's just he's been here forever he eats up every tackle those three are going to be very good at the linebacker position if what I'm hearing is true and I believe you guys by the way and I believe it just for the fact that you know I believe what you're saying about the offensive line is true they're better they're deep uh because they play against your dline every day and I when I was in high school playing sports and when I play on the basketball court now I want to play against the best because they're going to make me better and they ultimately do so I believe that about Michigan and I I believe the defense make the offense better and vice versa so but one of our strengths is going to be our Edge Rush dvo Bridges and Corey foreman and jaison Jax are three names I would keep it keep an eye out for because they're going to bring it off the edge now you know the and I think we should and I think we should Blitz a lot as well just because orgy hasn't had the amount of snaps that a lot of quarterbacks had he's newer to onfield play um in the big house I mean he's done it I've I watched him do it but he's newer so I think when it comes to Fresno State Defense we're going to same thing that I said on offense have a lot of we're going to show a lot of different things um we disguise a lot of blitzes as well very much like Michigan uh but the I guess the biggest question is and we're gonna have to wait and see is can our dline get any push and I believe off the edge we can I do believe that with Corey foreman and uh dvo Bridges so it's just disrupting orgy and putting him into Quick decision and tough throws yeah okay um all right so then what do you what about your DBS you've talked about essentially your kind of you know your linebacker core front seven a little bit uh DBS I mean do you think uh you know Michigan actually has a little this is where we do have question marks you kind of brought this up earlier our offense has more question marks than defense um you know but we do have Playmakers like Coulson lovelin and we do have a player by the name of samage Morgan who played a lot as a true freshman last year Tyler Mor Morris is our Alpha wide receiver um what do you think you guys have the capabilities on the back end to at least make the game competitive uh from that standpoint I do uh cam lockage is very good ailan Hamilton got better as the season went on last year because cam was out last year so ailan got to play a lot and got the experience so with both of them back and being healthy I feel confident in our Corners uh you know but they need to be able to communicate with our safeties and our linebackers is the communication there I don't know you know it's I mean I I what I always say is that DBS and safety really football teams should really take marriage uh communication classes because they need to know how to communicate so do we know how to communicate I don't know I couldn't I couldn't tell you that now Dean Clark at safety he's a returner uh Cameron brocka starting at safety he's a returner these guys hit really hard now if you have a Speedster you know and we're in zone you may be able to outrun us so there's the question mark there I think man if we can man up on the edge and stack the box I believe in Cam loard and and ailan Hamilton to be able to play with those guys and then now the question is can we keep up with Loveland can our uh linebackers keep with lovelin I I'll tell you Sunday night Sunday morning because I I don't know I haven't seen it yet um because Phoenix is quick enough yes but he's a little smaller um and then Malachi he's big enough but I don't know if he's quick enough I don't I couldn't tell you yet so we'll find out uh but I really like our DB room at nickel we do have a new starter it's a transfer RJ Regan from Oregon State I believe he's a younger kid sophomore uh excuse me Junior and I mean but he beat out our returner in Justin Houston he's been injured he's been bad on injuries but he's a long lanky player very athletic and he beat him out so I haven't seen ran play so I couldn't tell you how how he's going to match up because he's most likely being the Nickelback he's going to guard the slot so we'll see that's a question mark for us on defense because we just haven't seen him play we hear good things about him he beat out the guy that has been there but we haven't seen him play so what's going to happen in the slot is a good question mark uh but I would you know Dean Clark and Cameron Brock at safety are going to come downhill quick and hit really hard that I can guarantee okay nice all right John did you want to get into predict or keys to the game let's go keys to the game um what what does Fresno State need to do I think you mentioned there was a last second field goal uh that might win the game here for Fresno State or was that a different game uh but uh but but if that were the case I mean what what would Fresno State Beyond a last second kick like what would they need to do to um to secure this win I think typical football speak here but we have to we have to be clean we cannot turn over the ball if we give you guys extra possessions it's over so we we cannot turn over the ball and especially games like this um uh no no turnovers is one two we have to give Mikey enough time to throw because if Mikey's getting crushed all game I mean it's it's natural for a quarterback to I was I don't want to say be you know be scared but he's going to second guess himself every time he drops back so we have to protect Mikey and that is really something that's going to have to be all year so and once again that is a a clean pocket is a helps us not turn over the ball so those are my main two on the on the offensive side defensively we have to force turnovers I mean cam Lockridge and and ailan Hamilton have to be uh how do I want to say they have to be consistent they have to be uh they they have to be in communication with everyone and then we can't get beat over the top that's the last because I think it's going to be really easy for a team a defense to fall into the Trap of run run run run run over the top we can't fall into that trap so we can't get beat deep we we have to stay consistent and I think we just have to wrap up and Tackle I think with Donovan Edwards and your fifth year running back who's coming in in behind him uh I mean he's fifth year he's been working out for a long time he's I'm sure he's strong and he knows exactly what to do so but we have to be able to wrap up the at first Contact we have to take him down no nothing after that so I'm not breaking any any news here but we have to turnovers we got a tackle I don't want to get beat over the top because I think it would be really easy for Michigan to do that after running the ball eight times in a row and then offensively when you play a team that's better than you you can't turn over the ball you have to we have to at least win the position uh battle as in the field position battle and then we gota I want to come away with at least three points every time because otherwise it's going to be really hard for us and I don't want to be playing from behind obviously but too far behind uh well Caleb real quick and then we'll get to any um backups uh any other questions here on the keys to the game U from the Michigan side also but Keith uh which is literally to your point that you mentioned a minute ago about protecting your quarterback uh Keith who's a member of our Connor stallions Espionage tier of membership just gave us a five please please please get a message to your QB to keep his head on a swivel you Bulldogs have never seen a ensive line like our that's peak maing blue right there ke I love it uh so with that said uh TJ Ferris uh thoughts on keys to the game from the Fresno State perspective or of course Michigan well feris take it go ahead feris yeah yeah uh so I I I when I look at games like this I I think optimistic realistic pessimistic you know I kind of have a a range I'll I'll talk pessimistic first uh uh remember the Bowling Green game from last year uh that game was 146 at halftime uh JJ had three interceptions that game JJ McCarthy had three interceptions that game the um he only had do either of you know how many interceptions he had for the whole year he had three interceptions that game he had four for the whole year he only gave up one interception for the whole rest of the year so so um that was kind of the worst case scenario it was 146 at halftime Michigan did pull away Fresno State's a better team than Bing Bowling Green though so um that would be the scenario where it is you know fourth quarter and we're not feeling that great about Michigan and um you know maybe it's feeling like that Maryland game or something like that from last year um uh you know realistically I think you know Michigan is going to do one of two things they're e they're either going to be um hold everything close to the vest and just be methodical uh and then it'll be relatively low scoring but they should be able to get to 21 points or you win the game by more than 21 points um optimistically they're just gonna you know orgy is just gonna throw the ball all over the place or or Andor Davis Warren going to throw the ball all over the place and they're not going to worry about um uh keeping it conservative at all because they're they want to put more stuff on film for Texas um if that's a scenario then you know you're looking at potentially a blowout so I'll go realistic it'll be right around the spread right about what's the spread 22 or 21 21 and a half 21 and a half okay so it'll be I I I'll say it's right at that maybe slightly at 21 Point uh um win and part of it is that Michigan is not going to be conservative they're they're going to try to prepare the the Reps for preparation for Texas are more important than not showing the this Playbook that that would be my call yeah I think it's fair fairs um yeah I mean keys of the game for Michigan I think are obviously limit ter overs I think we're going to do that I mean it's just to be honest though I really think if our defense can play to its what we think it can then it's just on the offense to play it's it's game right get the ball down the field score points it doesn't have to be touchdowns get field goals I me we like to see touchdowns and I'm sure if we don't get touchdowns and we do settle for field goals we'll be hearing it John in postgame but um at the end of the day score points shut them down that's what we're going to go for um you know I think and I think and especially because your left tackle out I really and I we already kind of saw this anyways like we're going to dial a pressure Winks now will it be are we going to go deep into our bag no I think it'll be simple pressures maybe just you know rushing for or potentially sending you know a Blitzer here and there but um I don't think it'll be anything too complex you know unless you know we find ourselves in a uh a dire situation in the fourth quarter I think then we'll open the Playbook but I mean uh yeah we just got to play our game and and see if fres state has come to play and I think the way the game shakes out it will determine uh how deep Michigan opens the Playbook because I mean like FIS alluded to we're gonna definitely try to limit uh The Playbook uh as much as we can before our big matchup week two yeah and I believe this uh super or this uh $2 chat is due to my comments with Cale Caleb you may want to look at our um uh our comments because we drifted you know many of our fans drifted into all kinds of um uh uh rural country talk as well as Mountain Man flexing talk so so I I I you should look at it I think that is referring to uh to that from Justin so yeah Homestead homesteads right home Home on the Range and of course you can always rely on Nick uh uh with his $1.99 kamakazi uh super chats uh U ofm 56 Fresno 10 Alex this is very specific Alex sgy has 29 stiff arms uh so so Nick is just putting that putting that out into the universe not 28 not 30 29 um so multiple stiff arms on in in several plays is what I would guess right so uh but I think I think so uh all right so let's go around the horn it's prediction time folks um here at the Michigan football at the voice of college football um and we will start with our special guest of course special guest goes first uh so uh what what do you think's gonna happen in this and uh who you got what do you think the scores gonna be all right so do I think Michigan is gonna win yes okay unfort I would love my Bulldogs to go 17 and0 national champs but and I will pick that by the way if we go that far I will pick them to win every game and that's why I picked 2726 because I don't pick them to lose but realistically and I prefaced don't worry I prefaced my prediction on my preview with this I do think the dogs play it tight uh and the final score my final score is I'm going to go 26 24 I know that's close but I I do think that our offense will find a way to get to score some points and I think there is uh a turnover in there just because I like our pieces on defense I really do and so I think we do force a turnover keep it close it might be we score a garbage time touchdown to make it look close or field goal or something like that but I think it's going to be closer than a lot of people expect if it's not 20 6 24 is not that close I think we do cover and lose by around 17 so give me a really close game or we do cover and lose by like two two scores 14 17 points okay nice all right I'll give my predictions so I am predicting a 38-13 victory uh I think they may get a touchdown uh it could it's either GNA come early in the game because you know how those happen sometimes early in the season you get one of those first like first or second Drive touchdowns by the opposition or it's going to come very late in the game when Michigan has decided to uh call the dogs off and put the second or third string in um and the reason why I have it at 38 is because I do think Michigan's offensive line is going to be able to handle the trenches um and drive and just you know handle the game now I will say this though Fresno State is a respectable opponent in terms of you know being a group of five uh opponent and it very well could be a little closer than that I I don't I I personally do not feel it' be too close but uh you know we'll find out on Saturday I think it will be I think it'll be close to that spread though I do all right uh I've done all the math here and and I'm going to go with uh 32 to9 I was going to say 32 to8 but then I was like how are they going to get to eight so 32 to n that that's that's my um dang that's that's my prediction uh so what was the over ouer on this one it was for wasn't it around 40 45.5 45 and a half right so so I'm saying the under um Michigan beats the spread but uh with the under then okay okay thought about this um given obviously all the rules and you know last year we saw the game really sped up um so the big prediction that we had early in the season didn't really pan out because the game is just going going so fast um I'm I'm gonna give Fresno States a little bit a little bit of credit in terms of keeping the the score uh to 14 so I'm thinking 27-13 Michigan win um the reason being that it's going to be Alex orgy's first game as full quarterback they're going to be figuring a lot out at the same time I think the defense because there's four returning starters plus one that was kind of a he's kind like Ernest hman kind of a returning starter if if we're being real um he's like 1B in his position um 2713 feels feels right to me but um again it's it's a crapshoot we'll see but uh but but that's that I mean look look y'all stay tuned 7:34 PM Eastern kickoff um Caleb thanks for giving us so much time and being patient and getting in here uh it's been what we called this the mega show been covering a lot of stuff tonight um so we appreciate you uh hanging in with us here um give people a final thought and where can they find you oh thanks for having you guys I really appreciate it was a good time learned a lot I'm excited for football season uh I am on X cbor nail inale uh you can follow bew Bulldogs on X beware Bulldogs we're on YouTube as well we have a good time we cover Fresno State talk Mountain West all year long football basketball baseball it's a lot of fun and um I saw some I saw something in the chat does cable think Michigan is a playoff school or a playoff team this year I don't know guys I don't know it's gonna be tough with Oregon but uh I think they I think you're way better than Penn State this year put it that way people are talking about Penn State yeah they always do yeah well you so much for having me I do you think that Fresno State is uh uh has a shot at the playf even if they lose to Michigan uh I do actually yeah uh realistically this is really no joke and I mean my prediction wasn't really a joke but you know I like that pessimistic realistic and what you call it Ferris optimistic optimistic okay so you got my optimistic score and it was a loss by two but my real my realistic score is more like what Jon's score is but yes G5 I like Memphis Liberty Boise those are all good schools and good teams this year uh if Fresno State runs the table let's just say we have one loss to Michigan and we win the Mountain West I think there's no doubt that we get in uh this team Boise is our toughest contest in the Mountain West we don't play them this year in the regular season so we would see them in the Mountain West Championship uh I think the biggest threat is Liberty going undefeated because they don't really play anyone so Liberty going undefeated this year would probably be the g5s best bet uh now we'll see if someone from the Sun Bel wakes up or if Memphis lives up to the hype and runs the table I think if Liberty or Memphis run the table they're in if a i Fresno State Employee State could have something to say uh if Fresno State runs a table after and they got to put up a good fight against Michigan I would say that because if there's undefeated Liberty and a one loss Fresno State team that loses by by 10 two points to Michigan you know there's there's going to be a conversation there um and with on that same topic drus uh thanks for the two uh biggest games on Fresno State schedule that are not Michigan I would say and this okay UNLV is probably the first one um and then I would say Colorado State I think Colorado State's being overlooked this year they have a pretty good quarterback and and actually local kid from Fresno Tory Horton is a wide receiver over there they're very good uh and then I would say Air Force as well they don't return a whole lot of production but we know those acmy like those kids have been there forever they know what's going on they're big and strong uh and then we play them late in the season in Colorado Springs so if it's snowing in Colorado Springs against a team that runs a triple option and runs the ball all the time I would be a little bit worried so those are pro well then we go to the Rose Bowl and play UCLA but that's our last game of the season they're G to be beat up after their first year in the Big 10 U and granted the last four times we played UCLA we are four and0 in the Rose Bowl against UCLA so I like our odds against UCLA at the end of the season after they just played a gauntlet in the Big 10 so I mean those would be our biggest games yeah I'm rooting for Fresno State in that game yeah UCLA's headed for kind of a a a rough season I think yeah I think so it's we we call that a building season right there uh that is a building season for UCLA it's not even year one it's year zero yeah year zero um so you got a shot man you got a shot uh four and0 baby hey absolutely um okay and of course Nick with the uh that has to wrap us up with this is Fresno is Fresno ready for well you you can read it overwheling if we win in Fresno there will be a massive overwhelming orgy I could tell you that there it is that's hey that that's a good answer that is a good answer can we start to change the last name though can we that I feel like we got the fan base is loving it man it's catching on here yeah they love playing with that one Caleb beware of Bulldogs podcast um we really appreciate you being on man and uh we encourage everybody to check out the show appreciate it yeah definitely thank you for coming on we do appreciate that and uh you know maybe I'll send some tweets your way before the game on Saturday and we have a little fun I I'm all for it man I'm all for it's all love here absolutely super interesting thanks again that was great than thanks for having me guys all right wow yeah strong strong you know I I I try to try to find some good folks and uh you know this guy really delivered Caleb Rock so definitely everybody can you give him a follow um on the different socials uh Jackson and others have posted the the various links uh let's give Trey follows let's give Caleb follows these guys took time out of their day to come on and give their insight um from very different perspectives from a recruit perspective and from a a media and podcasting perspective absolutely yeah uh yeah great I mean what a show right I mean great guests today I threw Caleb's socials in the uh in the comments if anyone's interested in following along or giving him a follow but uh yeah man I mean I thought he gave us a I mean listen he knows his team uh he broke it down for us I is he optimistic I mean listen you know it's David vers Goliath uh you know and uh if you don't think you can win and you know he knows this team right so he he obviously feels good about it I mean I think we all feel Michigan should take care of business but again this is college football and this is why we play the games Michigan's got to show up Saturday Fresno State's coming for the dub um it's up to Michigan to uh make it uh what we all expect it to be and that's a very uh I don't want to say dominant win but uh you know it should be very telling uh hopefully by the end of the second quarter the direction of that game yeah go for it Baris yeah yeah um yeah going back to that optimistic realistic pessimistic thing um you know the Michigan has played underwhelming games before Ohio State you know the week before Ohio State so uh but this is the first game of the year it is a night game I wish Harbaugh was the honorary captain that that would have given another level it'll be Jack it'll be the the parents you know AR even better yeah yeah um all the kids are are back now I might call them kids I guess that all the students are back now at uh uh University of Michigan so uh you know night game first game it's sort of like a um whatever you want to call it average game on the schedule but it's ratcheted up to a different level because they just won the championship and you know um uh brand new quarterback things like that so you know I can talk myself into saying that you know Michigan's just going to unleash the you know uh both offense and defense and they're just going to blow him out uh but I can also talk myself into the idea that it this could be like the week before a Ohio State game where it it looks a little shaky um uh so you'll that's why it's super interesting I I think this is maybe one of the um outside of the big three games this is one of of the more interesting games of the of the whole schedule yeah I I I think uh there's a lot of there's been a lot of discussion about don't sleep on Fresno State um and teams that have just lost their coach and they're you know they're I mean look we saw that uh when when Harbaugh was suspended in some big big games Penn State Ohio State the emotion that Chiron Moore gave the emotion that that Blake corm gave in those games I mean it's you can't understate that and so we that's why I gave a clish score I think the closest I can humanly possibly give um you know personally with against Fresno State um but still a 13-point victory for Michigan uh but I I think it could be could be close closer than we think if if the score is your prediction John we're going to have some very angry fans calling us uh after the game so for anyone who doesn't know we're doing the postgame show and me and feris are also doing the pregame show Saturday so stay on the lookout for that we will have you covered before and after the game but John if we do not score more than 30 points on Fresno State um vanilla or not uh we are gonna have some very frustrated fans uh calling us and letting us know all week you know and also we got Texas coming the week after so um I fully expect us getting more than 30 and I don't expect them getting more than 14 on us um I just don't I think uh this team is going to be pretty good I think it's ready to go but I do agree with you John I think you're right I think it's a fair point that the teams rally around their coaches when they face adversity right and we saw this with Northwestern last year uh you saw with Michigan last year as well um yeah so we gotta be on the look listen come to play this is football uh this is big boy football you know even though it's a group of five team it's listen it's on Saturday hey here's another thing it's prime time it's a Prime Time game the boys are going to come to play so be ready prime time uh absolutely and we we mentioned Colorado earlier and now we're saying prime time but it is actually the game is actually on prime time but um yeah I mean I just I think if it was JJ I'd have a much different prediction but I think Alex orgy you give him the game it's a settle in game for him like uh he's gonna throw some passes some of them are going to complete some of them aren't going to complete he's going to run a lot probably um and so you know it but but again I I think it could go any of the ways that we've predicted and we'll you know we're gonna we'll be taking callers so lots of we have one more topic real quick but uh but you brought it up TJ I think this is good um in addition to the Mark Rogers morning show every morning at 10: am Eastern which uh we want to make sure everybody goes and checks out on our channel uh this Thursday we got TJ uh your call-in show as as normal uh Thursday at 8:00 pm Eastern and as you mentioned for the first time time this season uh for the first time at Michigan football voice of college football we have a pregame show with TJ and Ferris and then we have a postgame call-in show with myself and TJ so it is we've got you covered for football content now that we're in the season yeah and use more than one screen I mean we we know you might be watching um you know the TV pregame show whatever uh but they're not focused on Michigan specifically uh you know all the details uh you know they've got the fluff stories all that kind of stuff before the game you can you can listen in uh to US during that time so so we totally get it you might be watching on the phone or whatever uh but just get in the habit of doing that that'd be great for us great to have that Community you know right before the game yeah be on the lookout uh we're looking to have a good show uh yeah man and plus we're gonna be amped up it's game week uh right before the game and also I want to announce John I was going to maybe save it to the end of the show okay but we we are going to you know we've noticed the trolls and the comments we we understand uh that becomes frustrating for our community so we are going to be implementing a subscriber only chat starting on game day and that'll be uh consistent throughout the remainder of the voice of college football we are going to be now a subscriber only chat uh moving forward on all of our live streams so uh that should hopefully limit uh some of the trolling but uh if they do want to troll they can give us subscription in the in the uh in the meantime but uh at the end of the day yeah so hopefully that helps out the community there uh you know thank thank you everybody for bearing with us with some of these uh trolls that we're trying to handle on the side there but yeah so be on the lookout for that and uh yeah man I mean we're ready man the season is freaking here boys like we we did it we made it through the damn Gauntlet of the entire year where every week there was something new uh coming at us off field you know and here we are you know from coaches to NCAA to recruiting uh swings and misses and hits we finally made it yeah yeah uh just a quick point on that um member only chat now you're you're watching or your friend is watching and it's they they want to put a chat message they can still do it they just all they have to do is click the the membership button and then is there a timer sub it's subscribe not membership so it's a I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry subscription that's that's what I meant yeah uh they can just hit the Subscribe button and then there's there is there a little delay is that how it works there might be a delay but yeah but it yeah so so it's really no big deal to you um uh but but at least it puts that bar out there that um you know you've got to be semi-serious about um at least subscribing to us before you start uh becoming a bot you know yeah run mouth really yeah yeah got a couple more Super chats here uh Justin asking us guys have you seen FSU once a new coach already no I haven't uh I haven't but it wouldn't surprise me the way F you know FSU seems to be very uh financially motivated to do whatever it takes to be um respected and uh you know at the top of college football they're trying uh but they took a heart out last week so we'll see how that one goes y yeah I mean let it let it play out let it's game one and it's overseas so let you know right I would say let it let it play out so uh the the year that Michigan lost to Appalachian State I believe they what did they win they they beat Florida that year they beat Michigan State they beat they they had a bunch of good wins after that so three things are certain in life death taxes and college football way too early over reactions it was a couple of points against a Georgia Tech team that's established a lot more of a physical uh like it looked like some Michigan Concepts in there like people were watching the Michigan games last year and they said all right 425 defense check uh physical lines check uh run the ball do some running Concepts some free stat motion all this stuff check um there were some real similarities that I saw uh between Georgia Tech and Michigan of course not exactly the same but there were similarities and they embraced physicality meanwhile Florida state they're figuring out at quarterback they're still figuring it out yeah well well look I mean that was listen at the end of the day that was a bad loss for Florida State you're a top 10 team you are looking to be a playoff team H potential National Championship to make up for last year to prove the world that they made a mistake and you took a heart you laid an egg and you're supposed to have one of the top defensive lines in the nation and where were they they got you know listen Georgia Tech played you as you said physical ball they played it the right way I mean shout out to Georgia Tech man I mean there you know there's a lot of people who thought Georgia Tech was a sleeper this year so I mean they're kind of proving that to be true um so we you know we'll see it's up to Florida State I mean listen their season's not over go undefeated you'll still make it but good luck you know and one more Super Chat and then we'll get to very a two-minute conversation on the sign stealer documentary uh Drew fist with the dollar 99 we got uh 35 and0 and then we so this is dr's Fresno State Michigan prediction 35 and0 and then Michigan smashes Texas using Chiron Moore smash uh hit that smash Emoji everybody yeah bold we like the Bold takes here um all right so for those of you who expected a lot of discussion on Connor stallions and the the NCAA go back to last night's show because I did an entire hour and 15 minutes or so on Conor stallan NCAA responding to posting on Twitter all of it it's all there moose enjoyed it everybody en you know PE people who liked that stuff enjoyed it I enjoyed it I had some fun but tonight was about ball and I hope I hope we delivered I hope you thought we delivered um but this is a this is a little this is ridiculous check this out y'all um this is bro Hyo um from the uh sign stealer documentary this is a Ohio State fan who's in the message boards and uh this is this is the representation of uh of uh of Ohio State from the documentary looks accurate to me yeah why why is he wearing blue it's kind of weird but anyway yeah no idea I will I will say this y'all um there for those people who have been watching Michigan Wolverines live every week have been watching the call-in show every week and are generally plugged into what's going on there wasn't much new it was interesting that one of Isaiah whole sources was Connor stallions himself because Isaiah hle you know he always talks about his sources and you know he's got some in oh oh he was talking to Conor stallions on a regular basis uh that was very interesting um but other you know there wasn't a lot of like brand new information that like shocked me really so um you know check it out it's worth if for those of us who follow this stuff uh intensely it's worth a look I I had my coffee it was fun it there were some hilarious moments with stallions and holding up pictures and saying oh yeah this doesn't look like me at all wink wink and like that but um yeah stallions stallions behind port nooi or delivering a piece of paper to him or uh I don't know if P noi was doing one of his Pizza reviews or whatever and he's and stallions is in the back behind him kind of walking out the door whatever so it it was I don't know it just uh I don't know what was that thing Tiger King I kind of remember that reminded me that so oh yeah yeah yeah it's worth a look and and my book uh the price what it takes to win is coming tomorrow via VIA Amazon which is yet another reminder uh to to click the Amazon link to support the voice of college football network um so I clicked the Amazon link and got myself the uh the price what it takes to win and it's delivering tomorrow uh it's a deep dive into the Harbaugh uh NCAA Tom Mars uh Regents Ward manual Intrigue drama everything else I'm excited as hell for that that might information I I would think right uh the excerpt was was interesting for sure um uh do we all agree that the hammer is still the Emoji size not not not anything major and if it is anything major they will fight it is is that is that where we're at with this 100 per so where I'm at with it so the likely outcome for me is uh Jim's gonna get a level one uh and uh Conor stallions but what's interesting too is I don't know thean credits apparently had uh the is going to be trying to do what a three-year show cause to Conor stallion which if it's only three years that's not much of a a penalty at all um m is gonna get a level three for texting sophomore denard's gonna get a level three for uh recruiting issues clink gonna get a level two off for his Instagram which is ridiculous that Instagram verification which is insane um and then uh the institution's uh G to probably get an eight fig fine is what we're going to be looking at um they're probably one of the largest finds ever uh it's possible Conor gets more than three years but I I just know that um there's been some smoke that it's only three years which if that's the case then what's the NCA even doing um and then Jim Harbaugh will probably get you know a with his you know level one a show cause an additional show cause now I did hear something that was unique though and then with Chiron by the way um we're looking at potentially a suspension uh that's that's I think the extent of it uh there will be no vacated wins we know that there will be no bll bands we know that if it is anything to those extent fairs which it's not by the way like so Michigan has has received the notice of allegations there is confidence out like not like they're not worried guys like they're not like it's just not what the rivals want um you know we all saw Josh pate's take the other day Josh Pate is pretty dial in guys that's like he has sources he listen he's in the 247 Circle he can reach out to anybody he does get Intel he's not saying what he said the other day because someone told him the Hammer's coming okay I'm just and I've also received like confidence there's confidence I'll just say that there's confidence on Michigan's end that it won't be uh that drastic and and here's what I do know if it is anything over the line which it's not they've already received most allegations um of course they'll fight it like it's just not even you know it's not even oh you I didn't even know you had this queued up uh yeah for for those people who missed my uh my special graphic that I made for last night's uh ripping on Twitter people um Josh Pate uh the quotes right there the conference and the networks aren't going to allow the hammer to drop as as Ohio State and Michigan State fans uh are are praying for so I see Nick's comment I just wanna so I have heard one game suspension likely next year um that's what I've heard so we'll see um I don't know because I haven't you know I don't know for sure I just have been told that's the likelihood um and then but one thing I have heard also that I I will I will say is is interesting and I don't know if it's true because I've heard I've heard contradicting things here because the uh notice of allegations have came with the uh recruiting violations that potentially Chiron Moore could be a second offender um I have heard this now I have not had that confirmed like I I'm not I've had it where that's a potential and I've also heard that that's not even uh realistic and the reason why it's not realistic is because both investigations are going at the same time so it doesn't overlap so um I don't know you know we'll find out on that one that's the one area where it's gray for me but uh as I have said though one game suspension is likely for Chiron eight eight uh eight figureure fine for Michigan and then a couple small like clean scale and dard but whatever dard is not even here anymore anyways CLE skill's not here anymore anyways we don't care yeah and uh so everyone from Kirk and Nevada Buck I'm just reading my notes Here Mike Valente they've joined forces and and they've turned into what I'm what I call a spart eyes sparties and Buckey together against Michigan uh Valente is using his uh 971 platform to to to basically regurgitate what uh Nevada what's his name Nevada Buck Right Nevada buck and Kirk in that in that show um the Monty show in the morning which is a national show but they seem to spend half their time on on Michigan um uh at least they let me uh put comments in there but but the other shows uh I can't I got I put a little comment in in in uh Valente but they've been wrong you know valente's saying that Nevada Buck has been totally right about everything he's been totally wrong about everything it's with respect to Michigan so it's it's it's like uh um you know we're seeing two two totally different things I think it will be a celebration day when it all comes down and it's it's the hammer is small and it's it's not a big deal other than the fine one game suspension maybe Michigan proactively you know does that and you know does it to a game that doesn't really that Ma matter as much yeah it I've heard first game of the non-conference next year um but um regarding Valen he got checked the other day by one of the a Michigan caller came in and just ripped him and and Valen even backed down uh it might have been Friday or it was either yesterday or I don't know it was recently but um yeah venny backed down he's like well he was just a message board poster it's like dude blenny and Rico man I'll tell you they're they're clown sh yeah yeah and I and I think um it's time to play football like I would be a while so uh you know Ohio State you know they're blaming you know 50% on Honda mord and 50% on Connor stallions that's the reason they lost uh let him think that it's it's good to underestimate Michigan once again um I'm good with that and for those people who expected more discussion of Stallions in the NCAA like I said I did a whole show on it last night go back and and and enjoy it or hate watch it or whatever you want to do um today was really more about ball and of course a couple minutes on the 3:00 a.m. eastern drop of the dock since that did just happen um today uh but otherwise yeah we're we're talking ball today and I appreciate both of you as always um and it's that time folks uh but before we do that we have one more quick Super Chat from Justin uh with the two Justin's been rocking it all night man Justin's been the Bucks the fat stacks and uh and and Georgia Tech R uh plays The Run game like Army uh a little different now uh used to be triple option um after Paul Johnson retired they did get rid of the triple option but they do still play with a physicality that reminds me of of like a Michigan or a Georgia versus like a an air raid um style so I definitely see it more on the run and physicality side but not quite the same as it used to be uh with the triple option that's for sure okay uh thanks Justin for that and let's go ahead and do final thoughts on where could people find you um Ferris final thought for us what a show wow yeah uh mega super awesome show with whipped cream nuts and a cherry on top so I really enjoyed it uh hot fudge sorry hot fudge too so um uh really enjoyed being part of this uh we are doing our first pregame show as well as postgame show but I'll be the uh I'll be on in the pregame show with TJ really looking forward to it really hoping as many of you can be there as possible because this is kind of a you know a little bit of an experiment I think it'll work out but I think uh it would be great if we could do that uh if we could have you all there uh for that show before the game yep I was to say once to F's Point like this is our first pregame we are definitely going to you know keep going with it evolve it uh see where it goes so uh you know well fun with it um well I well here's what I can
