were we were we wrong Matthew and who can make a move in week two campus to Canton is live right now it's Felix sharp and Matt Bruning for campus to camp.com where our mission is to bring College fantasy football to the mainstream you can help do that by liking this video or subscribing to Channel or both or wherever you get your podcast go ahead and do that for us uh Matthew yeah we may need to Humble humble ourselves by the way I'm the most humble the most humble as a company overall we've had some really strong takes on One shador Sanders one Connor Wegman and one Lenor cers um shador Sanders in week one against North Dakota North Dakota State uh 26 for 34 445 yards four touchdowns one interception that's 44 fantasy points there in week one and we saw how he started uh last year he's throwing the ball all over the place hitting Jimmy Horn uh hitting shador Sanders you know lots of weapons there offensive line held up too oh by the way that's with new offensive coordinator Pat Shermer it's not Shawn Lewis at the helm he's looking very much like a first round draft pick when we've kind of said he looks anything but um Conor Wegman who we've touted as a first round draft piit we have at this company somehow 12 for 30 100 yards and two interceptions against Notre d uh and then we go to Lenoris sers completed just 43.5% of his passes even though he had 22 carries he had the long touchdown pass which was dropped which would have uh inflated his stats a just a little bit but Matthew were we wrong at least about these three so I'll start with sellers first because I think he's he's the easiest to answer I think it's too early to say on sellers it's been realistically one game what did he have last year is like one pass for like 60 yards or something like that right or was that the spring game like there's still a lot of sellers game that we need to see I think that he's going to be just fine he mentioned the drop pass uh which would have inflated his numbers a little bit and I I feel like he probably wouldn't be in this discussion today had that happened because it would have looked like a at least a good day at the office for Lenoris sellers so than it's a little bit too early to talk about him I am not ready to bail on Connor wigman just yet but that was not a good performance I mean I watched that entire game you know obviously you know if anybody watched the tailgate Saturday morning you and Nick both pick Notre Dame you guys had your questions not even just about Conor wigman you have had your questions about him for the past couple years but about the weapons around him and everything he definitely didn't look good he was overthrowing wide receivers and I know a lot of people keep bringing up well they lost two offensive linemen in the game I mean those two offensive linemen were not causing Conor wigman to throw the ball like 15 yards over some of these wide receivers head so it was not pretty I want to give him a couple more weeks the problem with wigman is they don't play anybody good until Texas at the end of the year so like I don't know that we're going to get any real answers I think Austin said it on campus life that dropped this morning on our on the campus C podcast feed that even if you were to go out there this weekend and throw for like 700 yards like that doesn't prove anything because he's doing it against Bad competition we want to see him do it against the teams like Notre Dame who have a top defense in League I believe two corners that are projected to go not just first round but like top 20 picks so like they have a good defense but it is obviously like I said not a good showing what a 40% passing 100 yards nothing close to a touchdown like I like said I watched the whole game I can't even think of off top of my head like passes that were dropped that like I thought were good passes that were on the wide receivers like I could for some of the other quarterbacks I watched throughout this week Quinn ERS had a drop uh I just rewatched uh the San Diego State game last night Danny O'Neal had a a touchdown dropped there's none of that in that game so I'm hesitant to bail on Conor wigman just yet I because I still think the talent is there but has not looked good you're basing it really off listen I've been the most I've been the most critical of Conor Wegman out of all of us uh at the company I don't think he's that bad but here's the problem here's the problem Matthew yeah Johnny Walker Jedi Walker Cyrus Allen Trey Watson Le'Veon Moss was the fourth leading receiver Noah Thomas there's no Evan Stewart here the same questions that I had with Drew Aller coming into the season I now have those questions with Conor Wegman regardless of what I thought that he was from a talent perspective which by the way wasn't this wasn't like that bad yeah uh so that's my problem with with Conor Wegman I'm surprised that you went there though because we need to talk about shador Sanders yeah I was gonna shador Sanders analysis around the country not just with us is soaked with emotion we can't even give him credit when he makes some great plays in last week in week one he did I'm thinking specifically there was the long post to Jimmy horn where he damn near scored shador was taking pressure in the pocket and I was like and by the way this was a critical point in the game I think it was about the third quarter he was taking pressure in the pocket got hit in the mouth I thought the play was going to be a sack and even when the ball came out of his hands I thought it was going to going to be a duck to the safeties it lands in stride of Jimmy uh Jimmy Horn's hands he takes off if that was Michael pennick Jr Matthew I would have started this show with a 15minute monologue calling all of you out calling all of you out I think that at some point we need to give credit to a player for like having good performance he threw for over 400 yards four downs you know we gota we we have to give shador Sanders some credit and say let's just we said kind of like with Will Levis his entire career we said this guy's not a first round draft pick he ended up not being we're going to be wrong on shador Sanders because at the very least there's going to be some owner that's like a Dion Sanders fan that sees shador Sanders as someone who could sell tickets who who who might make their GM press the button on shador and by the way Matthew I'm not just saying that he's going to be an attraction if you prot him he could be a good player he could be a good player and we have not said that see I I semi disagree with that sentiment I I feel like I wrote an actually very glowing review of shador Sanders coming out of was it Jack I always mix it up Jackson Jackson State in our I think it was the either Debbie got or freshman so freshman supplemental guy because he was in freshman supplemental drafts I I actually wrote Such a link the thing on him I think it was like 4,000 words and I made poor Austin cut that down into like the 1800 that it's supposed to be because I actually thought he was very good at Jackson State I still think he's a good player we've never said he's a bad player what I feel like I have always kicked back on it's like I don't see the first round like skill that I would can I can I push back here yeah go ahead you all redrafted the Freshman CL the 2023 fresh class including players yes you you and Austin about two weeks ago on campus Canton live you redrafted the 2023 Freshman Class including players that would have been available in the supplemental player pool that included shador Sanders because at Jackson State he was not eligible to be drafted so guys like Carson Beck shador Sanders elic Amor uh guys like that were uh lad makoni guys like that were available to be selected shador Sanders didn't go and until the end of the second round I thought that I was spoon feeding the answers to you guys on that one car Carson Beck didn't go number one of all number one overall shador Sanders went as late as he did I mean that is an indication of how much like disdain we have for a player and it's and it might be unwarranted it might be unwarranted like right okay hold let me ask you this question let me ask it this way good from a value perspective we're g to get to this later on shador Shor Sanders if he does what he did in the first half last year he is going to be a first round pick I have more confidence in jador Sanders being a first round pick than will Levis who you know was very athletic had all the tools but was super inconsistent when shador Sanders is pro protected he is consistent he's going to be a first round pick yeah I mean probably it doesn't mean that I have to agree that I think the talent is there though that that is my biggest issue with that has always been again I will say I don't see the elite skill that I would put that on now you talked about what he did in the pocket vers North Dakota state which he was he was very good he took you mentioned that one throw to um oh gosh Jimmy horn there was the one to Travis Hunter as well where he stood in the pocket he took a hit we didn't see that last year though no we didn't we did I don't think did I agree that's that was where a lot of our analysis was coming from last year it was hey look like we know that he is a good player but he took way too many sacks he doesn't have good pocket presence that in one game does look like it's changed and if that is the case moving forward then I completely agree with you and he is going to be a first round pick we have argued that he's likely going to be a first- round pick regardless of what we thought of him as a player to begin with I've said before I think he should be a second round pick moxley's been on here saying this even the most notorious Colorado hater Austin nay has said that there's a likely chance he goes in the first round we just from what we saw last year I think it is fair to argue that we didn't see that part of it there and for me what I've come to really respect about the quarterback position is that part of it is the pocket presence part of it we've seen some of these athletes come out and not be good in the NFL he still doesn't by the way just because I'm saying he got hit in the face and completed some passes downfield he still do have no pocket pres and when I say like pocket presents to me is like sliding avoid stepping up in the pocket to avoid pressure moving it's things that Michael penck Jr did really well and Anthony Richardson really really well I don't think Shor Sanders is by any means going to be a player that avoids a lot of saxs at either in the at college level or in the pros I agree with you so like that's but that has been our biggest knock against him it's never been like we've never sat this like he can't throw the ball down the field he's not accurate any of this other stuff now we have brought up the fact that when sha Lewis left last year and they did have Pat Shermer that offense took a nose dive now again it looked much better but let can I just proposition one thing without this like there no hate towards shador Sanders whatsoever can we give it more than one week can we give it against a team not North Dakota State Radio baby no we have to react right here right now is a good FCS team let's see what they look like when they actually start playing teams of their competition before we Crown Sanders the number one a good FCS team and that game was closer than expected it was still closer than expected but not not to shador Sanders fall um okay uh let's move to some news here Matthew DJ lagway starting for Florida with graham merch in the concussion protocol um react to the news about DJ lagway uh starting and and I think that there's a chance maybe that this could save Billy Mayer's job I I really hope not uh for DJ lagu sake I hope that it doesn't save his job but I I tweeted out when this happened I would not be surprised if this is him starting the rest of the year it's no shot at Graham mer I think we know he is a a good college quarterback I I don't think that he has like any real NFL future but DJ lagway is just special he's different I mentioned it on the show that we did I think it was on Sunday where we recapped a lot of the stuff like in my opinion watched that entire Florida Miami game the best Drive Florida had in that game was when DJ lagway came in he drove them down the field again I think I think it only ended in a field goal but still looked really good they're going up against I believe it's Samford should have a good game I do not think that to save Billy apier my biggest concern actually with the Billy Napier part is I which I did not know this I heard this on the cover three podcast I think butd Elli has said it they have an interim athletic director right now so like I don't even know if he has the authority to be able to fire someone like Billy Napier so we might see him throughout the whole season anyways but I think there's a realistic shot that if lagway goes out there and plays as well as I think that he can because don't get me wrong he he is definitely raw he has things that he can improve on but he also has just an an immense amount of talent in his arm and with his legs and he can make plays Off Script like I think he could be an extremely fun player to watch I hope that they just give him the ball the rest of the season let him go trying to pull up Florida's schedule yeah while you do that let me just say say my problem with Billy nap here is I don't think it matters if it's Levi Lewis Anthony Richardson Graham Merz or DJ lagway Billy Napier is going to have them run the same thing let's compare Billy Napier to Kaylin D'Or last year his quarterback was Michael penx Jr uh this year it's it's uh it's Jaylen milro the Washington offense last year in Alabama's offense on Saturday they could not look any more different Jaylen milro ran the ball more than he passed you know why because kayin dor builds his offense offenses around the strengths of his players I we said it last year with Anthony Richardson I'm like Billy napir is gonna come in he's gonna just have him do three-step drops and stuff like that that's what he did that's why he had games with like four carries and no designed runs because that's what Billy Napier is is that's my problem with him is that even if you compare Billy Napier to Dan Mullen I can show you clips of Dan Mullen running very specific plays by the way beautifully designed plays attacking the line of scrimmage then pulling back like stuff that you saw Urban Meyer run with Tim TBO Dan Mullen had that those types of play designs for Anthony Richardson which were completely different than the way that they used Emory Jones you don't see that with Billy Napier so I don't know what type of game plan I would design for a freshman quarterback probably get him rolling out read one half of the field you know if you've got one safety in press man we're converting that to go on the outside just go with it you know reading halfs of the field bubble screams you got two after the catch guys and Elijah Badger and Trey Wilson there but I'm afraid that he's going to do some very vanilla pling you know Pro style quarterback stuff that they have him run and it's not going to be a a a a uh game plan designed for DJ lagway that's one of my biggest gripes with Billy Napier and quite frankly it was my concern when he was being handed the keys to Anthony Richardson it remains my concern now he's being the handed the keys to DJ lagway yeah and I mean I hate to put it this way but things don't get any easier for them after Samford who they played this week they get Texas A&M Mississippi State before a a bye and then they go into a in my opinion Murderers Row of UCF Tennessee Kentucky Georgia Texas LSU Miss and then Florida state that is not going to be an easy schedule for a true freshman but I mean I think at this point if I mean Brett's in the chat and he says that you know it sounds like Billy Napier has already lost the team I mean at this point I I I don't know what he can do to save his job outside of lagway going out there and impressing and I'm I'm looking forward to see what he does because we saw two freshman quarterback play this past weekend and I thought both of them played very well and I don't think it's unfair to say that lagway has a higher ceiling than both the two that I watch in Dylan rayola with Nebraska and Danny O'Neal with San Diego State so if if if both of those guys could go out there and do that if Billy Napier as you mentioned which he has not shown us track record of doing can just tailor a game plan to this guy's skill set against Samford of all teams lagway might go out there and actually have some decent success by the way with a player who has like you know some running ability at the quarterback position some easy things to do quarterback dive quarterback sweep get your Plus numbers up there on the and block everybody up you know easy stuff like that but I just doubt I doubt that they're gonna do that I doubt that they're gonna do that all right uh Matthew following week one you put together a list of some statements that will turn into true false questions here these are yours you I you might have some also other but let's throw these out and if you're in the chat go ahead and play this game with us true or false that's what we're playing here all right so Matthew after week one true or false shador Sanders Quint Ys locked in to the top five of the 2025 NFL draft I'm gonna say false um because I think right now if we're reacting just off week one shador is locked in but I think the other quarterback that would go in the top I don't would probably Beck and maybe even cam Ward over Quin so I I don't know that all three of those would go in the top five because there's a lot of really good defensive players in this draft as well so I think false I I would say false too because I don't know first of all I don't think Quinn y should be in this in this conversation for the top five I if anything it's Ward Sanders and Beck I still think Beck is going to be the number one overall pick when you think about what he did last year his pedigree uh the school that he goes to the competition the fact that he's going to be in the playoff I think I think Carson Beck is probably the safest pick uh which is which is why he would go number one overall now we said after the games F on uh was it when did we record on on Sunday I think it on Sunday I said that I think a third of the teams in the NFL would take Carson Beck number one over or excuse me CAM Ward number one overall I I still kind of think that cam Ward because of that his scrambling ability and that Elite trait which we knew was an elite trait his ability to to to uh avoid pressure and create more time I think that some GMS and owners will gravitate towards that play style because quite frankly I I feel like you could play that way with a a team that doesn't have a ton of talent you know and if you're draft drafting in the top five or 10 or so you could be a team with not a lot of offensive Talent so I think that some GMS and coaches could gravitate towards uh cam Ward over both ERS and Sanders but that being said Matthew true or false do we see at least five quarter backs go in the top in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft I'm gonna say true I it's gonna be 2024 all over again it is um I I get we're obviously worried about what we saw a couple years ago and then this past year with like You know despite whatever you think there obviously people who did not think bonick should have been a first rounder people don't think Michael penck should have been a first rounder but I think with what we've seen against one game you could make the argument that Carson Beck and cam Ward are locked in to first round picks was what we saw despite what other people may think the NFL draft community and we've seen GMS talk about the fact that there is Quinn yers I don't want to overlook what Jackson Dart did and I understand it was against sperman but he's continued to get better every year I'm sure I'm missing some names off the top of that list but like there's those five just alone Garrett NM who not his fault that LSU lost to USC Miller Moss could technically come out so that's what seven right there can't um Drew AAR can technically come out who had another like we're getting down to eight quarterbacks right now who I think are in the discussion for first round so I have to say true or false that five will go in the first round I will say true I I don't know why i' forgotten about nus Meer um yeah we we do need to at some point have a convers but you know what n nm's not lost on us he's been in our top no yeah's or I mean we we it's not like we haven't talked about uh Garrett NM so no uh I'm going to say five in five seems a true so it's there are man I don't know why we're throwing Quinn ERS here but fine you know what Mel Kyper got him at quarterback three can we agree there's four right now four locked in Ward and and nus I would say nus is probably For What from what I saw I would say he's probably locked in as a first rounder I don't know that he's locked in because he has what like four starts or whatever it is yeah I mean obviously we think that he is talented enough to repeat these that's why he's been a top 10 quarterback for us you know this this entire time so I think he can repeat them I wouldn't lock him in right now not by the way if he falls to the second round that that would be like the craziest value yeah for like somebody like nus so a quarterback that with that mentality he would probably go to a good team in the second round imagine like well no they just resigned J gof didn't I you imagine if they got H Detroit Lions that line or if he ended up with Shawn McVey and in Rams Stafford probably going to retire in the next years yeah yeah he'd be there with ston Bennett so yeah there's there's a lot of good Landing spots for for nus Meer considering the fact that we would expect him to go in the second half of the first round or somewhere in the second round where teams can trade up for him so um he could be a great value so kayin milro who I also forgot about who might have a massive here with kayin deor like there's there's a lot of names that you can add any time you have an elite trait anytime you have an elite trait there's a potential for and all the quarterbacks that we've I think that Garrett NM is Elite on his accuracy uh jayen milro is is an elite athlete and I think that we're going the funny thing is he only threw the ball 10 times yeah 10 nine nine time nine times on Saturday and this this is kayin dor we're talking about this is uh Jake Hanner this is Michael penck Jr this is a guy who puts passers into the league and by the way I don't know if you saw but Ryan Williams had two catches of 150 yards yeah yeah on Saturday so um you know we we're going to see some good passing performances for jayen milro he doesn't have to Jaylen milro doesn't have to show much to be a first round draft pick not only that but be to like to be the number one overall pick in Dynasty rookie drafts next season with that rushing ability since we're talking about quarterbacks here Matthew true or false Drew Aller best QB in the Big 10 true or false I think it's true and maybe I'm letting this myself fall back in love with him I don't feel like he played I know he played well against West Virginia last year I don't remember being this good he was back to making those throws that we all fell in love with and I mean who who else you putting up there because I'm don't I love aen Childs aen Childs did not look good this past week you're gonna put will Howard who couldn't even beat out Kyle McCord stats at Syracuse like who who else you putting up there no miller Moss you would put Miller Moss up there I would not put Miller Moss above of you would put Dylan Gabriel there you would put Dylan rayola there no and that's those that's it none of those guys have a wait who you say again Dylan Gabriel Miller moss do like Dylan rayola but I would say right now if I had to pick between the two it'd be Drew like talent wise I'm taking Drew he has a much better arm than Dylan rayola i' I don't I don't know how many times I've have to say this I think that Drew Aller is one of the 30 one of the 32 most physically gifted players playing quarterback period not in college football period so I think that he just has to get the mental gay behind him he'll be you know he could be an elite player I thought this he's one of the better High School prospects that I've evaluated on his high school tape you saw tight window throws throwing to uh wide receivers before they broke you know with Defenders all around and hitting them in stride he saw the off platform throws with his big self you know he can move at that size so he just has to put it together I don't know if Penn State is the place to do that but I've always thought that he was one of the more physically gifted uh quarterbacks in the country in quite frankly playing football overall I still want to see some consistency um I would be worried that he's a see it before he throws at quarterback but you know what sometimes quarterbacks with really strong arms who can Rick it rip it they can they can do that they can put velocity on the ball to make up for not having anticipated that window or that Defender not being in that space so you know we haven't really seen Drew Aller RI it downfield on the Deep stuff we saw a few opposite hash throws those made me really you know happy against uh West Virginia just need to see some more of it you know he's got Harrison Wallace now I guess Harrison Wallace is number one player but they still got Tai Warren I'm still worried about the weapons there but as far as being the best quarterback in the Big 10 I mean that's that's I don't think that that's a very high threshold decline so I'm gonna say true I'm gonna say true um how about this tedar Ro and McMillan the best wide receiver in college football is that true or false now we had some debate yeah with your boy uh Evan Stewart or tedar Roy McMillan and Luther Burton in that conversation actually tedar Roy McMillan the best wide receiver in college football so I can talk out of both sides of my mouth we're talking about just specifically college football right now I will say true uh I just think he's gonna dominate this year uh because I think Evan Stewart is the better wide receiver but I you said college football I'm gonna say right now tedar Ro McMillan true I just think with what I what I think he can do this year granted now I can't even remember who Arizona played but I I don't believe it was like a very good team that they played Saturday New Mexico not not an overall good team maybe that changes a little bit when they get into Big 12 play and it's a little bit harder for taroa McMillan to do what he did but to put up that kind of performance the fact that too that he missed all of spring practically all of fall with an injury comes out and dominates like that I I don't know you could argue anybody is better than him currently in college football so I'm I have a league where I sat uh uh Kevin concepion and tedar Ro Millan now I still won but I mean later on that's like a hundred points that I lost out on and later on it could affect playoff seating and all that I always had T tedar Roa McMillan as my number one now I tend to gravitate towards the size the guys who have good catch radius radiuses body control all that I mean remember at one point I was really high on uh Troy omir who also plays in Arizona and he's a player on the same Spectrum not nearly the talent that tedar Ro McMillan is but a similar a player on the same Spectrum where you can line up on on the outside and they're never really covered even though they're covered the thing about tedar Ro villan though is that to be that big of a player he has excellent body control and he can run after the catch that's something that I think Mike Evans had been his comp I don't think we see Mike Evans running a whole bunch after the catch and Taro tedar Ro and MC could actually scoot I wish I had the stats in front of me of how many yards he had after contact in this game in the in the game against New Mexico I don't but pull but it was a lot for a player like that of course you don't get to 300 yards receiving without running some after the catch I don't care who you're playing so tedar Roo McMillan he's always been my wide receiver one I have Evan Stewart at number two I've had Evan Stewart at number two Luther Burton at number three I think I moved Jeremiah Smith to number three I might even need to move Jeremiah Smith to number two but I'm saying true on uh tedar Roy McMillan 176 yards just in that 176 yards after contact yeah after so he had a he had a so he had a wide receiver one performance even after contact in this game yeah which is I mean I don't know I mean it's not we know that he's a dog we we've known he's we've known that he's a dog so it just a matter matter of him being healthy 10.48 route uh yards per route run that's uh that's ridiculous there we go Nick Singleton true or false he is headed for the first round in 2025 I'm say matth I'm say a med I know um well I was trying to think of with what he did and I think a lot of this is going to come down to how brilliant Andy codal Nikki is and the way that he schemes these offenses Singleton is definitely not the receiver that Barkley is we've talked a lot about that but just as like a pure just athlete with his speed and everything if he's able to go out there and continue doing what he did in week one and have an incredible year he is going to blow up the combine I mean Brett's in the chat saying the NFL doesn't value RBS but they continue to take them high they they they do when they have a certain Talent level jir Gibbs went for who who who am I well be bejon and jir are special but tra Travis etn went in the first round a couple years ago n Harris went like we can say all day that the NFL doesn't value RBS but when they have a special trait like Nicholas Singleton does those guys tend to go high I would have thought and I've said this before that I thought it was going to be trayon Henderson but like Henderson didn't look good Saturday and he's been injury prone he's he's a soft they I mean I feel like he runs a bit more up the middle than you and Chris give him credit for but regardless he's not the most physical runner in my opinion Judkins look better than him anyways I think both those guys might end up hurting their own draft Capital because neither one may stand out this year Singleton could be the guy that I think jumps up in the first round so I'm gonna say true I I really think there's a shot with his speed and I think we're underrating what he will do likely testing numbers wise when it comes to the combine and for what I'm not I'm not r or something like that he's going to be 227b at 6 foot like he's built if you look at saqu I think six I think squin was 6' 230 and ran 43 something Nick Singleton is going to be two is going to be 6 foot 225 227 and run 43 something be somebody when they take off the shirts and do the arm length testing he's going to be chiseled and all that stuff but this is something we've said we' we've said actually since his freshman year we knew that given his physical gifts if Nick Singleton could put it all together he would be the he would I think we even said he would be the next running back taken in the first round if Andy K Nikki is dialing it up like this he he he will be and so man you missed the buying window last season on Nick Singleton because you probably could have gotten Nick Singleton in a lot of Trades if you wanted to go like of a player of that c caliber you could actually go get him there you can't go get him now um are the three best running backs in the country in the Big 10 Singleton Judkins trayon false I think there's one in the SEC that I hate saying this I think deserves to be above trayon Henderson would you like to take a guess at who that is in the SEC yeah it's your boy justice Haynes I mean we have I mean I you know I love Justice I'm not going to argue that but I don't know that we've seen enough from Justice haes I mean I saw him take a put a 100 yards on four carries last week and I mean yeah look he's you're right there's only four carries but I don't have any worries about him as a physical R like what what was our biggest issue with Justice hands coming out of high school the argument was by other people on the recruiting team oh what y' biggest issue was because he one well I had him two but I had him as a tier one running back him and CJ this is the thing this is the thing about Haynes is you guys saw Cedric Baxter as being this big side size um freak combo and I'm like like but I I always think you all overrate like straight line speed and Cedric bter if you line him up at the 100 he's probably gonna beat or well he's not gonna beat him now but he would have beaten Justice Haynes in a 100 meter dash and that's just not something I've ever put a lot of priority on this is why I've touted backs like Kaden Fegan and ra Andre Stevenson those aren't guys who are going to win straight line races but they have good la Al agility which is what I thought that Justice Haynes had in Spade so I can tell you that I I know a lot of obviously we do the recruiting calls I'm pretty sure they're on the nil feed somewhere so like you can listen to this the issue most of the team had with it again I actually kicked back on this was a lot of Team felt like justice Hayes had nothing special he was a very good running back but nothing special and I disagree with that I not only did I think he was a special running back my whole point was like I thought he was incredible like I don't think that he's Elite at anything but he is incredible at everything and when you go to a school like Alabama that's just going to continue to develop those traits I think that that's a smash possible first round pick I have no concerns about his game whatsoever it's so sad that we're saying that because I think he he has Elite uh um what they would call like micro movements in the like in the pocket when he's anticipating the hit his ability to tacklers and then kind of to be able to change direction on one step I think that he has th like I think that's an elite trait to me like we're talking about oh he's not 230 pounds but I I don't know I just I guess we're looking at different things on uh on I mean look I'm not gonna dis I thought I thought thought that he did have a one which is why he was my wide receiver one which is why he was my wide receiver one so um okay let's uh do I have anything else you okay there there's this one I don't even know who you're talking about here at least five wide receivers will go in round one in 2025 yeah true or false um T I will say B true AA abuka which you always you always Ted Evan Stewart Mecca Travis Hunter Isaiah B Isaiah Bond yeah yeah you're right could could um oh could Xavier Restrepo go in the first round with a possible year he might have at Miami right now no no no he's a lad makoni type so that's like that's that's yeah trying to think of who else I don't think there's anybody else it's probably just those guys so what was that five six so I'll say true I'll say true I think all those I mean I'll go with your answer I don't have I don't have a strong take on that here we let's go to um this last one here Ashton Genty ashon Genty man boy if you took if you took oi Gordon over Ashton jenty boy I feel sorry for you but uh Ashton jenty Heisman finalist at the end of the year I mean right now it's hard to say Falls with what 600 yards and six touchdowns I mean I imagine he's probably going to do close to that every single week as long as he's healthy so I'm gonna say true I want to go this one it's I I don't I don't think I actually looked at the performance so what did he do in this game it's six he didn't do anything receiving wasse but it was only had three receptions he had TW he had 20 carries for 267 yards and six touchdowns sorry 26 I said 600 I mean even though he's in the G5 they get Oregon this week you know so I want to know what his line is on that game I would probably take the under um but if he does if he does you know 120 yards and a couple of touchdowns against Oregon and the rest of the Mountain West schedule I think that he could get he could get to uh to New York it's hard I mean it's hard shador cam Ward they they they're going to be there it's a Quarterback Award but maybe he will if if if uh who else that's the thing who else Boise state is going to the playoff maybe Ashton jenty gets to New York as a representative of the G5 I don't even think Boise State needs to make the playoffs for him to get there I think he's probably close to the leading in college football this year as long as he stays healthy you have shador and cam which I agree with you but who else is like locked in like sure I guess maybe Quinn if Texas makes the playoffs and wins the SEC or Carson Beck one of those two yeah I don't know that Carson Beck is gonna or I don't stat I don't know that either one of those guys are going to put up life right but like that's the point like that's where we're going already because I don't see anyone maybe Ted if he continues to go out there and put up two 300 yards a game receiving wise he'll make it there so like you're it's so open outside of those two and I'm just just saying uh would not be surprised if uh shadora Sanders doesn't necessarily continue this game that we saw against North D Co State throughout the rest of the season I there a realistic shot that they only win five or six games so then all of a sudden we're talking about cam Ward is the only guy we have locked into going I think there's a realistic shot that that g that J by way out to Chris moley said that to beginning the season yeah yeah I just bought tickets to see that UFL Miami game Miami coming to to Louisville um okay let let's talk a little bit more about shador looking forward to week two Matthew some players who can make a move now we have shadur as quarterback 12 if he goes out against Nebraska and performs the way he did against nor North Dakota State I think that he has to be locked into our top fiveish r what say you top five so our top five right now is Nico Carson Beck Jackson Arnold Arch Manning DJ lagway sure if you want to take Arnold out like I don't think Arnold deserves to be in there I feel like I'm alone in that camp because it seems like everybody else seems to love Jackson Arnold I I don't but I mean right behind those top five like I'm being like I'd rather have all those guys are grouped together for me so it's hard to separate right behind we have sers milro nus Meer e Sanders like I'm fine moving Sanders above eers and I guess nus me right now but like again with the elite athletes at Sellers and milro are like I kind of would rather keep them above Sanders because like I just see a better pass again don't know that we continue to see what we saw week one from sh Sanders I really don't gu well I mean we'll see you gotta remember Nebraska last year he had a he had another you know eye popping statistical game but that was at Colorado this one is in Nebraska it's GNA be a different environment um so we'll see I'm I'm gonna say the answer to that question is yes because I would put him ahead I would put him ahead of Jackson harnold I would put him ahead of arch Manning and I would put him ahead of uh DJ lagway just giving deference to the the player whose value is no is more or less no longer speculative I think if he puts together another performance like he did last week not only is he an elite College fantasy option but he's probably going to command the draft Capital that is why I would move him ahead of those three who we haven't seen a bunch of um but there was something else I want there was some I forgot there was something else I wanted to say I can't remember what it is let's answer this question here from uh from Andrew really quick before we move on he says he dropped squirrel white to pick up Nick Nash at uh San Jose State do you like the move Matthew I mean kind of I I've not been as high on squirrel white as everybody else and it just seems like he he had a good year last year don't remember had like 700 yards receiving but yeah I don't want to panic Too Much from the I'll be honest I have not watched the Tennessee Chattanooga game so like I don't know if it was just game script or what happened but it's not great that what they put up 70 or 63 points and like he had I think it was like one catch for whatever it was yards like I would probably make the move but I think squirrel white oh no no no no nick nick nick nick Nash had uh on leite hold on hold on no no squirrel white squirrel white only had like squirrel white yeah yeah yeah yeah okay I'm sorry yeah no no not Nick Das no no that's what I'm say like so okay I get it if you truly don't think that squirrel white is going to have a good year and and I think we thought had like probably like late day two draft Capital possibility if you don't feel that I have no issue whatsoever with you dropping him to get Nash yeah I mean you're if you're trying to win I you could probably I you know I have some teams with I guess worse rosters than Andrew does and so I would probably drop somebody else other than squirrel white and hoping that he catches fire with um niiko Mala but somebody was saying that uh Nico did not Target squirrel white even in the bowl game last year against Iowa now I think that's a good a good point to put out but it's his first uh game starting etc etc um so I don't have a problem with that because if Nash is going to be this Mountain West monster he could he he is one of the players that could lead you to the to the championship on your college side um Matthew Donovan three Targets in the blll game I was just trying to pull that up so he got three Targets in the bll game two two Targets last week but again I would not read too much in that bull that was his very first start like ever or I college football Nico so like but it's obviously not promising he ran a lot that game too like all two game sample size and he's targeted him a whole five times in two games it's not a great Outlook so far and and at some point we'll need to ask ourselves is Nick Nash just a cff play or does he have some NFL potential I watched uh portions of this game and last year's tape um in this weekend to try to come to a conclusion and I really couldn't come to a conclusion but I'll tell you what man I drafted Nick Nash Nick nashan spots I want to say in 2020 because he was a dual threat quarterback at that point and that like not knowing anything about college football I was just sorting the quarterbacks by who had the most rushing yards and had Nick Nash on a couple of rosters and now he's a wide receiver you have to love the journey uh for some of the just like jindon Jackson J quindon Jackson and uh and Hudson card both the next quarterback at Texas both the next quarterback uh at Texas let's move on here to Donovan Edwards uh Matthew at Michigan of course Michigan had you know seesaw performance against uh Fresno State their offense didn't look great the running game didn't look great itself I tell you what against Texas this week Donovan Edwards is either going to make a case for himself to reestablish his value or we're talking about like one of the bigger Buss that we've seen in college football they got two quarterbacks this is a team that wants to run the ball you're the cover Athlete on the college football video game I mean I think that he has to put up 100 yards and two three touchdowns I don't think that he is going to but I think that we see Donovan Edwards value just become completely nil after this game against Texas because I I think he's going to do essentially nothing for a second week in a row I agree with you and I mean we we've kind of been on that train obviously all the offseason most of us have him ranked in like the rb30 uh there there's only one ranker that has him ranked high that that's kind of pushing him up into the top 20s all of us have him in the 30s for the most part I think and I'll give Mike Valerie back to Debbie host uh credit for this he's talked a lot about over the past couple years like Michigan's offensive line like creating these holes and everything for these running backs I don't think it was as big of a thing for Blake corm I think Blake corm was a very good runner very good Vision I think it really helped out Donovan Edwards I think you talked a little bit about it on Sunday's show where like he would in the Ohio State game like it was either those massive holes or like in oh it was the national championship game against Washington like he ran up into the back of his offensive lineman actually and just happened to get then to the outside and then bust a big play for a touchdown and everybody was raving about him I don't think that happens against a very good Texas defense I would not be surprised he probably has a better game than what he had against Fresno State I think what he have like 12 rushing or 20 rushing yards against Fresno State maybe it's a little bit better but I I was very high on Donovan Edwards coming out of School you guys all were not that was actually our very first ranking show I remember he was one of the players we disagreed on it seems like he just has not improved at all as a running back since his time at Michigan and I don't think that a pure like between the tackles running back we know that that's not his like his strength he should be used more or less like a pass catcher but they're not using him that way yeah so I I would agree with you I think he's going to probably have a bad game against Texas and and his value will continue to go down yeah you know it's something that we need to watch for moving forward uh Corner Canyon I think has that that uh wide receiver who could potentially be going to Michigan maybe I'm forgetting who but there's like an elite there's as a matter I'm sorry it's the whoever the wide receiver was who played with Zachariah sample Arizon Jerome miles is it Booth no his last name is Miles he's going to Elite wide who's going to Michigan Michigan just isn't a place where skill position players can get developed especially Elite ones I know that Blake korm just got drafted but you know who are we talking even even JJ McCarthy would you say that JJ McCarthy reached his ceiling in college no I don't think anybody would say that so um you gotta watch out for those Michigan skill position recruits were you gonna say something for yeah so you're you're I think you're mixing up um Jerome miles the one from Corner Canyon that played with Wilson that is possibly committing to Utah it was Andrew Marsh who did commit to Michigan he was a four star um I don't he was in Texas if I remember I did the video on him uh yeah he's which I think he's an interesting player he's he's not really like a speed guy more of like a possession threat really great hands contested catch guy which I think could be I as mentioned in the video if Alex orgy or if Jaden Davis ends up getting the job I they could be a good weapon for them if see Chiron more open up this offense what we saw week one I don't know how I don't know how you can yeah I don't know how you can with Jaden D or uh uh who's the quarterback Davis Warren Davis War Warren is the quarterback now which I at the time recorded the video assumed Alex orgy was going to win the job so yeah I want to stay on this Michigan game Matthew because it's the best game of the week by far um but let's go to the wide receiver position yeah on Texas like Isaiah Bond you already put him in the first round I don't know if that's solidified yet but if he has even if he can get one of these Breakaway plays playing against will Johnson who is an eraser who romad dun had trouble with last year in the playoff game the championship game we're talking about Isaiah Bond making himself a lot of money if he can get a couple of plays off against will Johnson yeah that that'll be the matchup um obviously you know my my biggest thing with with Bon transferring over from Alabama was I wasn't sure because he had played in the slot so much at Alabama if they would put him there at Texas at least so far by the way that's a great way to to have a big play against Michigan coming from the slot because I don't think will Johnson is coming in there so in this in the last game obviously again Colorado State Isaiah Bond spent only eight snaps in the slot and 26 of them were outside so if he does go up against will Johnson and he is able to beat them beat him the big play then will be Ken Quinn hit him for the completion but if that does happen I agree with you it'll be a big boost for Isaiah Bon sets again Texas has a couple other big opponents but will Johnson with as highly rated as he is I think most expect him to be at worst a top 15 NFL draft pick in the draft next year if he's able to put up a decent game against him I think he solidifies the first round status can we just clo this close this out I think Texas is a six and a half Point favorite do you think that they cover so it's so hard to say because I think Michigan's defense is that good right and I do worry a little bit about eers because let's like I look big big big fan of viewers in the Alabama games he stepped up he actually had a good game against Washington in like the second half though that first part of that game he was not good it took him a little bit of time to get into it I don't know that you can do that against that Michigan defense but the big thing is I think the Texas defense is so good I don't see Davis Warren like I I saw a Michigan beat Rider I believe it was on Tik Tok today say all Michigan has to do is score 14 points and they're going to beat Texas I that's all Texas needs to do that's what I was just gonna say for Texas how like how many points do you need to beat Michigan 14 I think as much as I hate to say this I think we are realistically looking at like another Notre Dame Texas A&M game this weekend and it's going to be that one like it's very defensive heavy a bunch of field goals but I would probably take Michigan in the points and maybe I'm just giving too much respect to the Michigan defense but I I think it's going to be a very close game I agree because if I'm Steve sarkeesian first of all I'm on the road you know I don't want to make commit a turnover my game I don't I don't need to score 21 to win the game yeah I can punt seven eight times in this game and be fine and I kind of think that the aggression is going to be dialed back a little bit so that they don't have so they don't they don't give Michigan short Fields they don't commit turnovers that's just how I would do it I I can't wait to see this game from a schematic standpoint because I would play it really tight to the vest if I'm Texas like I don't think that you need to do a ton to to win this game they're not gonna beat Michigan's not gonna beat you outside right you just got to contain the run you gotta contain khil mullings and and Donovan Edwards who will contain himself by running into the back of his of his line so you know it's going to be a conservative game plan for me speaking of conservative game plans Matthew Caleb Johnson at Iowa one of the better games on the Slate uh for week two is Iowa and Iowa State I think they call it farmageddon yeah Caleb Johnson at Iowa we were once high on him as a true freshman they Tim Lester who I used to watch at Western Michigan University back in the 90s offensive coordinator that near there now he starts Kamari Molton uh last week now Molton got the start but Caleb Johnson had the bigger day I think that he can make a big move in our rankings here in week two he's got the prototypical size good athleticism a resurgent maybe Iowa offense if he does you know a 100 yards and looks like he's becoming the starter I think we we could see kind of the same way Nick Singleton all right he's back we could be saying the same thing about Caleb Johnson he's back and go you know I don't know where he's at now but maybe a top 15 running back after week two is all said and done well if he's going to jump up to top 15s he's gonna make a massive massive jump I pulled the rankings up he's currently running back 88 in our system now some of that is is we have two people who you have him ranked as running back 32 so not a massive jump for you I will sell myself out here I currently don't even have him ranked but that obviously doesn't affect his ranking but there are two people who have him ranked in the 13 so if he does have a big game I think he could definitely jump up I mean again you mentioned he had the better game I would not be surprised if we don't see Iowa go back to more of a run heavy defense first team obviously um Kirk fence was suspended last week and was not there so I wonder if they will continue to throw the ball down the field I think um Tom fernell talked about in the cover three podcast I don't remember the exact stat but I want to say CAD Cade mcnamer was like top three in the country in u balls over 20 plus yards in the a yards yeah last week like and in completion so like ree vandery baby yeah it was it was a yeah to the the true freshman wide receiver I don't know they continue to do that so I think Caleb Johnson could be a big rise of for us if he continues to B and Iowa has a very good offensive line should be a very good team that's all I've got for week two looking forward you got any others no I'm ready for week two to start are there any games Thursday night Friday night no because they're not competing with the NFL they start Friday night oh that's right Friday night and the Friday night slate is not great it's not as good as last last week's uh Thursday night slate so um ah BYU SMU what are you talking about be a good game I'm not I'm sorry I'll be watching doesn't Wisconsin play on Friday also uh no Indiana Indiana West illino and then Duke Northwestern and then we kick off Saturday uh Indiana's fun Indiana is fun Michigan at 11 o'clock is just a disgrace to college it's not at 11 o'clock it's at noon well 11 o'clock my time I'm looking at the app so regardless it should be at seven it should be the Prime Time game what is the Prime Time game uh what is the Prime Time game that night this is riveting I mean I can't find it is it oh it's a segment called Matthew reads the schedule Colorado Nebraska NBC it's Tennessee NC State that's actually a really good game I I mean Texas Michigan is probably more eyes but Tennessee NC State should be a very good game great color game between Michigan and that burnt orange uh Texas in the burnt orange and Michigan in the aming blue yeah all right I think that that's going to be it for us tonight apologies to K her street ran out of time we'll get him rescheduled soon for Matt Bruning I'm Felix sharp good night good luck
