Joker 2 Debuts To Bad Scores On Rotten Tomatoes| The Critics Must Hate Musicals!

hey what's up everyone so we got some review scores that just dropped around tomatoes and today actually was an embargo for Joker 2 where like I'm pretty sure it was like a limited screening obviously the Insiders and all those people get to watch the movie early I don't know exactly we get more reviews though on these sites I know for social media reactions yeah we got a lot and they were actually more positive than anything else but I feel like when it comes to stuff like this we just have to wait I mean to be honest to be fair the first film had like 60 7% but still made a billion over a billion so it's like maybe we just had to wait out until the actual release date but I'm pretty sure people are still anticipating the film you know obviously coming off of a successful first film yes the times are different and it's been years it's been like what four or five years since the first film but um you can see it right here obviously the score and we'll actually get to it right now I mean I have heard lots of Praise towards um walking and and Lady Gaga so it's like I'm pretty sure they definitely are a great Dynamic pair in the film you still get all the action you want all the you know Joker R-rated this I mean as far as I've seen the criticism maybe is the musical aspects where it's like I get it it's a different structure than you know obviously since the first film and I I think I have seen that people did enjoy the set pieces but maybe there's too much in it I mean this movie is kind of weird where it's like it it definitely doesn't really want to be a a comic book film obviously Tod Phillips has said that before with the first film was as well it it is a musical but at the same time it's like it doesn't want the actual um gaze as one which is kind of weird since like obviously they're singing and dancing in the film which again I I still I I think it was a good concept to go that route even though some people still disagree some people still don't like the fact that it is but it's like look it makes sense in a way but you see here there's 41 reviews now to mention as well cuz it's only been on review sites Metacritic as well has a 51 and based on the score based on you know the averages um um rounding up I guess people are are they like it but it might be lower scores even the the the the meter is positive but overall it seems like there's more um negative than positive in anyway so let's see um achieves two remarkable things and updates the movie musical using the genre in an inspir inspired way that shouldn't frighten fans who don't like them it's also that rare sequel that meets if not surpasses the quality of its predecessor now with what I've seen so far um because again there is a stigma around musicals especially this year where people have been flat out rejecting them and i' and I've seen it where movies have been um pretty good but it's like people just don't like that factor to the point where even Studios had to trick Audi into not them knowing it is a musical where we're surprising it seems like T Phillips targeted um directly at the audience who got a little too into Joker and made it to antagonize them um we're left with the tragedy of a broken man in the world only interested in sism it's a big swing for all involved but all the better for it I mean as far as I know to Phils doesn't doesn't really and I actually do like the the the review I I read before where it's like how can you you can relate to the tragedy of Arthur Flack in first film obviously everything that was going on within Society let him down that dark path where he actually needed more help and support but obviously Gotham wasn't or the the the government wasn't really trying to help him out but it's like he still is a murderer and a criminal so it's like how how could people even you know um Champion for him like I I I don't understand you know people who I guess like Anarchy and want um Mayhem and disaster to run a muck I guess in in real life um let's see it begs the question why is Philip so reluctant to embrace that the film is a musical yeah that's what I said why not add a little more color some flourish to the production design um it it is not that this version of The Joker Is inherently wrong but it is interesting uninteresting please let us be done with this um I mean but yeah he said this might be the last one even though he did say it like with the first film where it's like he said he couldn't really see a sequel happening obviously we are getting one but um a third film I mean as far as I know isn't on AR during the film facing the penalty death penalty so it's like I don't know exactly if he's to come out on top of this I mean we'll see though maybe I could be wrong in terms of what was reported but it's like no this this man I mean what he did in the first film was kind of you know he let he he killed he killed a couple people and then he let a whole um a whole um disaster I guess uh Army among the streets of Gotham that led to like a revolution against like the hierarchy of of the city so it's like he did lots of stuff um let's see where where am I it feels remarkably honest and true to itself demonstrating again that talk taking such a popular character seriously is nothing to laugh at pH Phoenix is seamless picking up the Ming character again as if it were only yesterday it's a truly versatile amable performance an over in ddge musical that lacks the punch of his predecessor where the original Joker remains a stunning ex exception that rare Blockbuster with emotional shading grown up themes and genuine sense of grandeur this sequel fails to stay on the beat um the film is conciously different in in style from the original not quite as electrifying but bold and Brilliant at the at bold and brilli milon all the same yeah there's lots of netive reviews um it's startingly D a pointless Predator that seems to sustain its audience yeah just just work with me you know reading out loud it's it's a hassle for anyone Phillips is just incapable of delivering the genre's requisite Razo dazzo that would surely compliment Joker's Persona um this new found stylistic Vigor helps extend and the shelf life of walking Phoenix Joker but but by the time the the end comes this Incarnation feels exhausted part Court movie part Behind Bars romance is an unconventional musical sequel that fails to hit the high notes yeah I guess people don't aren't that fond of the actual film um depending on how you look at it this is De I'm not even going to bother reading this word d i i really hate how um first of all how uneducated I am with grammar but also it's like I I geted their critics they actually they have to they have to sound articulate when it comes to like coming up with these reviews but it's like come on man like just because you have to sound official doesn't mean you can't just use dummy words but um obviously another negative review I I think I've said it before ultimately these review sites no matter it's your own opinion but they're still influential regardless of the fact I'm saying that so it's like there's there's a there's no win-win to be honest with you when it comes to people who won't check this movie out at all based on the reviews and obviously ronal Tomatoes is the go standard for people who who feel that way or act that way but I feel like as far as I've seen with the trailers it looks well you know directed it looks um structured in a way where it's going be interesting to see the parallels between the two main protagonists and the and story at hand and and if anything we'll have two separate stories a love story and also a criminal story um so I feel like we probably are in for a tree it's just that for now you know we just had to get through all this rubbish and eventually we'll get you know stuff like the audience score and then obviously fans seeing it when the movie actually releases but it is what it is I mean I don't mind negative reviews again the first one had me Yorker reviews but again it was very successful for fans love that
