how's it going everyone gbg here so we're going to be reacting to the brand new PlayStation 5 Pro reveal trailer and hope for some good news man I'm looking forward to this Sony don't let me down hi I'm Mark cery I'm excited to be here to talk about the newest addition to our console lineup PlayStation 5 Pro and how it advances gaming technology but first I want to take just a minute to look at what we put in the original PlayStation 5 and how it delivers an exceptional gaming experience when PS5 debuted in 20120 it brought a lot to the table 802 CPU cores form the brains of PlayStation 5 and enable high speed complex gameplay with character counts reaching into the hundreds and frame rates that can be as high as 120 frames a second God of all look really good PS5 has a powerful seen which can render anything from intricate details we have yet to see this game or a game from PlayStation look this good let's go back this good like where is it just saying powerful rdna2 GPU which can render anything from intricate details to Fantastic work let's just make sure this is in 4k it is in Worlds with vast panoramas to explore Ray tracing allows for dramatic visual improvements including Reflections off of water or glass and the realism that comes from real Global illumination a custom SSD can load data at breathtaking speed resulting in Ultra fast transitions between game worlds and data streaming rates so high that traversal speeds are essenti unlimited you okay I'm working on it Tempest 3D audio te brings an unparalleled sense of immersion to the sound of the games with audio so real you may not even need to see the enemies to know exactly where they are finally the Dual sense controller has haptics that let you feel through your hands what your character is experiencing inside of the game it's wonderful to see such variety and richness of game experiences creators have made amazing use of the hardware capabilities but when I talk to them I do hear about their desire for more graphics performance the dreams of the developers are bigger than can be supported at 60 frames per second and that leads to an aspect of modern gaming that we're all familiar with Graphics modes it can be a difficult choice for players for me I always go for performance because I want FPS over graphics so as long as I got decent looking Graphics not too mind-blowing but stable FPS as highest from like anywhere between 60 to 120 I'm decent man you know Fidelity modes emphasize the visuals typically through higher resolution rendering these modes might also have enhanced detail or use more Ray tracing but the games only run at 30 frames per second the visuals can be choppier and the controls less responsive performance modes emphasize frame rate and interactivity typically choosing to run 60 frames per second mainly by reducing the graphical detail until those frame rates can be achieved when asked to decide on a mode players are choosing performance about 3/4 of the time removing that decision or at least narrowing that divide is one of the key targets for PlayStation 5 Pro we want to give players the graphics that the game creators aspire to at the high frame rates the players typically prefer to do that PS5 Pro substantially improves over PlayStation 5 in three ways here's what we call the big three first we made the GPU much larger and increased the speed of the memory it uses the result is rendering that's up to 45% faster second we made major upgrades to the ray tracing taking a streamlined and accelerated approach that allows calculation of the Rays at Double or even triple in the speeds of PlayStation 5 and finally we added custom hardware for machine learning and an AI Library called PlayStation spectral super resolution or pssr for short pssr analyzes the game images pixel by pixel and can add an extraordinary amount of detail which boosts the effective resolution of the games game creators are adding PS5 Pro support to new and existing titles and with the big three involved the results can be pretty amazing with Graphics showing something like Fidelity levels of detail but it doubled the frame rate here's the Last of Us Part two running on PS5 Pro it has huge amounts of detail and targets a super smooth 60 frames per second that's beautiful let's compare this to the Fidelity mode on PS5 which is only running at 30 frames per second much choppier stop we got dude delivering almost Mr Cy listen here where I here's where I intervene and and and talk my nonsense all right so with the PS5 Pro we were promised 4K 60 FPS I don't know if anybody else remembers this but uh we even saw something along the lines of 8K gaming on the box of the PlayStation 5 and I feel like I was robbed and lied to when the PlayStation 5 came out not going to lie it can't just be me but I was fully expecting 4K 60 with the PS5 on release but it's okay I'm not salty I'm just saying if it still happens during the lifetime of the PlayStation 5 then it's good all right now keeping pressing me I'm I'm I'm all in so far man it's looking pretty good that last of us play Fidelity mode 60 FPS BR I'm in I'm in Fidelity like Graphics of performance frame rates has been achieved for a broad set of titles including Marvel Spider-Man 2 dude and Ratchet and Clank Rift apart we can see that PS5 Pro this our future of like PlayStation 5 exclusive games are going to look like I'm another way to compare the two consoles is to look at PS5 Pro versus performance mode on PS5 both of which Target 60 frames per second what we see here is a difference in detail PS5 Pro is much sharper there is what we see here bro the building on the left looks a bit foggy like washed out whereas here is C St clean dude even in the the the further away buildings here as well as super clear well I say super clear exaggeration really but it's it's way more what's the word that I'm looking here appealing to the eye than or eye candy to the eye than this holy even Ellie's face actually Ellie's face although this is recorded on PlayStation 5 performance and PS5 Pro performance as well like they said mark C is saying her face here is like a little bit faded out where here is like more it's just sharper a lot a lot sharper this is good so far so good man play is deta PS5 performance than PS5 dude I'm sorry for interrupting you Mr go back another way to compare the two consoles is to look at PS5 Pro versus performance mode on PS5 both of which Target 60 frames per second what we see here is a difference in detail PS5 Pro is much sharper and crisper than PS5 for this my favorite is the parade scene for distant details differ clear anyone who's saying they can't see difference they're blind there's a freaking huge difference here look at this bro look how you can barely distinguish what the hell these creatures are where here you can actually individually see them green alien purple alien same here really but you can barely tell where the bodies are where here you can actually see her body and everything like bro come on man holy nonsense dude and here we is noticeably higher resolution including the trees and procedural cars this is performance model on Spiderman is looking this good and here we can see Marvel Spider-Man 2 is noticeably higher resolution throughout the scene including the trees and procedural cars oh my so overall some remarkable Improvement to the games on PS5 Pro we can see increased sharpness to the graphics or smoother and more responsive gameplay way better this is the big three showing their value as you've been seeing machine learning via the pssr library is being used quite broadly to add pixel detail and boost frame rate but there are as many approaches as there are game engines the increase in raw GPU power is being especially effective for Horizon forbidden West oh Lord apart from the detail boost that extra Graphics power is allowing for improvements liing and visual effects this game already looked beautiful now it's just like yeah disg the hair and the skin open up guys J's orders okay this brings me I'm sorry if for pause it man but we got to discuss this how are other game developers not able to match this quality of Graphics if your engine that you're using isn't as good as this drop it off get a new engine I don't care please please we moving forward it's 2024 for God's sake please forget VR please just focus on hitting this level of Fidelity in graphics look at this this is this is Cinema I still have yet to see to this day a better looking game than Horizon forbidden West dude it just there isn't one I've not seen one this is this is Art Gorilla Games dude R tracing is finding broad usage as well particularly when the games are focused on higher frame rates the faster Hardware PS5 Pro can make a real difference allowing Gran Turismo 7 to add rrac Reflections between the cars in gameplay while continuing to support their targeted 60 frames per second okay I'm I'm G to say something I don't want to say man bro you're playing a racing game and nobody cares about R tracing come on not me anyway that's just my opinion okay but yeah I should have kept that opinion to myself but still I got to voice myself here yo playing a racing game do you care bro dude you want you trying to trying to get to the Finish Line as quick as possible you don't really care about no Reflections on your car dude you could look pixelated as hell no one cares you're racing your main achievement here is to achieve uh get to the first I mean be the first one to reach the Finish Line Reflections in the raising game that boosting r switt on this G Hogwarts leg Hogwarts allowing not only for better Reflections and a greater variety of refle surfaces but also for further realism and casting of Shadows dude I am shocked okay I'm super excited because man a few months ago actually no two years now two years ago if he had asked me about getting a PlayStation 5 Pro and showcasing this level of fidelity on our games on PlayStation 5 games and all the exclusives I would have been insanely mind blown but because I own a a 490 or a 4090 I'm not as surprised anymore because I've seen what games can look like on a high-end GPU and PC and all that nonsense but still this is quite impressive for a console that costs around 500 bucks I don't know how much this thing is going to cost but I'm guessing around 590 5.99 600 um I hope it's around that that price I thought know but dude this is looking too good it justun behind PlayStation 5 Pro 599 it's the most powerful console we've ever built and a worthy addition to the PS5 family let me wrap this up by giving you a quick look at a number of games running on the new godav war did they show godav war I've seen a little bit in the beginning but not much was that a was that God of War that they showed in the beginning the PS5 enhanced version because it looked anyway listen to me the only way I could see myself buying this straight without thinking twice um and also where the [ __ ] is the storage where is the storage anyway um is if they gave us dual sense Edge because I think that's like $200 I think yeah roughly around 200 right 199 lbs so if they gave that as a controller with the PlayStation 5 Pro for pro players come on Sony think about it here instead of you know 534 I would understand the um the 699 so you get the dual sense Edge instead of the boring ass you know controller that we've already played with um you got the Dual sense Edge the disc and the the the storage and I'm guessing the storage is going to be higher than 500 GB because there's just no freaking way there's just no freaking way I don't understand so I ended up actually finding it and and PS5 Pro Storage says with the still very fast internal SSD drive off the PS5 coming up for 4 years old son's once again going back to the SSD well confirming that the PS5 Pro will boast a 2 tab SSD as standard that's good that's good ssds are very expensive so this understandable are kind of kind of kind of but the 200 extra I was expecting this to be $599 UK British pounds right not £ 699 that's that's disgusting that's disgusting that's a that's a lot of money dude that's £2 200 extra for what no disc no stand no freaking stand no extra controller no dual sense Edge
