so it was it was social we were in Social and we were about we were done we were just finished um doing work and putting away laptops cuz we're just starting up a new subject right um we I put away my computer and Sophie didn't have her computer so she was in front of me when I put down my computer I stood up walked out of the door she was in front of me taking know yeah um when she was in front of me she she saw everything first and and then I like I didn't know what to do cuz I didn't really know what fully happened at first I didn't know if it was on accident or like if the girl tripped or if she purposely did it so then I was just kind of standing there in shock and then Lexi screamed fire and and then the fire alarms went off and then I was still kind of in shock but I started like I ran back to the classroom and then like and then I ran back out and then I ran outside and then and after that I immediately got up to the I went out the door there was a girl holding up open the door and Y asking me to call 911 I dug into my pocket and called 911 and they asked me questions like I before they even spoke I told them come to oven Hardy I we I just saw crime or I didn't know how how I worded it but I kind of I kind of forgot right and but they transferred me to the firefighters line and I spoke with them in about five minutes the people ambulance the ambulance came and the police the firefighters and they started to go inside what did it feel like to see that what were your thoughts in that moment we were obviously scared and likeed like shocked cuz that was that just happened in front of us and we were just I didn't believe it was real like I I didn't even know if it was real or not so remember when you're explaining what it was like um when you guys got in the car and they said it was like watching a scary movie like it was but in real life yeah and we were just shooken off cuz that just happened and we didn't believe cuz we thought it wasn't it wasn't real but it was and we we just like paused for 5 seconds CU when we were in front of her we paused for 5 seconds and then I yelled fire and I just like ran out with Sophie and that's when I called the N like 911 right and I'm still shaking a little yeah did you guys know either of the students at all no we did not we just knew that was like they were P that's [Music] it um your your mom when I talked to her she talked about how maybe you're not the most extroverted person you're more quiet uh but that she's really proud of you for the way that you you acted and you took action quickly to help people who were in danger um why why did you act so quickly and and yell so quickly and what were you thinking well uh when I started to think like it registered my mind early that oh yeah this is gonna this is happening this is going on right now so I did what's best is I yelled fire and then I got out and the girl that was in front of at the door asked me and I did and then that's kind of like what happened and I don't know why I acted so fast but that's a good thing though that's a good thing that I acted fast how big was it that you had your cell phone on you given there's that rule like has it been enforced much or is it kind of all the kids kind of have it in their pockets yeah it hasn't really been enforced that much only in certain classes you can't really have it so like you're allowed to have it on you but if they like catch you with it then they can take it and then you'll get it back in then a class are you grateful that you had your phone on you yeah I did yeah what what do you think would have happened if you did have your phone on you I probably would have called but I was I I didn't have like I couldn't bring myself to like grab my phone to do anything that's how much shock I was in like so then Lex he was the one who did it when you when you first saw something was was it already happening or did it like I I saw it just happen like when I first saw it or like no like it just happened as soon as I walked out like as soon as I walked out she threw it on the girl's head and did either of you maybe you said this were there some sort of liquid yeah there was I believe it was flam liquid cuz um it was in a black canister yeah it was in a black canister and I she threw it onto the girl and then her hair yeah call on Fall fire yeah she saw I don't know I think it was like this big I I don't really know I didn't see plastic kind of what did I didn't really see like it's probably if it clear probably yeah yeah I think it was clear the girl who threw the fire on her what happened after she did that when the other girl was on she she tried to run and then teachers were like other teachers went to go chase after her while some were trying to help the other girl that was on fire and then everybody all ran out and then we all got told to go to the other side of the school so I don't really know really much what what happen next but I think you guys were saying earlier too like she was resisting arrest like did did she get put in handcuffs yeah she got put in handcuffs and pressed against the the car and then pushed into the into the passenger car seat how are you guys doing just in general I don't know pretty shooken up still and just like concerned for the victim mostly CU like yeah she got burned and of course I'm going to be like yeah I'm worried for her and she didn't deserve that are you scared to go back to the school a little bit are you guys planning to go back Monday uh no they cancel classes Monday oh they did class remember when you guys were saying ptsc yeah yeah what about uh what about your classmates how are they doing have you talked to many of them no we don't know them that's that's like the second day and this is a new school for you yeah we just started high school too
