so this is uh one tw away from every NFL team's initial 2024 depth chart from pff.com Browns Devin Bush as a starting inside linebacker since 2022 Bush's 58.1 PFF overall grade 62nd out of 74 linebackers who played 800 and more snaps on top of that never concluded a season with a 62.9 or better PFF overall grade uh given the breakout play of Watson uh bookie Watson 89 .3 overall great 13 snaps preseason opener jury is still out on whether Bush will continue to hold down the inside linebacker three spot in Jim Schwarz defense I mean that's fair I would say Bush looked pretty good though Devon Bush looked pretty good he just didn't he didn't play a lot because they they didn't play the starters they wanted to get a look at the younger guys yeah and you know the reason teams keep going back to these former first round type players is there's always something there right and and sometimes I think these guys Bounce Around the lead because just a series of subsequent front offices are like oh yeah I really like that guy coming out of college let's see if you know if we can get that out of him um in this spot and I think that that might be What's Happening Here Devon Bush's college tape I thought was fantastic and he was an aggressive downhill thumping linebacker who could make plays behind the line of scrimmage obviously you've got J Who's just been signed and is the the star of that group but maybe in a Jim Schwarz defense you could you can kind of ReDiscover that version of Devin Bush and maybe uh slim down the ask for him and really streamline what he's being asked to do and just let him focus on that downhill attacking type of play
