good to be here on a Wednesday night man what a great service we had around here Sunday and God really moved in such a powerful way very thankful for all that happened in that service and uh Services uh Sunday morning as well as Sunday night brother uh Pedigo preached a marvelous message um and um just it's great to be a part of Revival church amen um please keep brother Pedigo in your prayers he is uh out of town uh his unfortunately uh he lost his brother this past week so they had a funeral for him today and um they had a family funeral so uh he and sister Macy are up there at the funeral and so please keep him in prayer and um those of you that have lost loved ones you know what that's like and and so we all need we all need encouragement we all need to be lifted up in prayer and uh it's I don't know where people go that don't have the Lord to lean on in time of trouble and so thank God for his strength that he gives amen I uh in just a moment we are going to uh be dismissing um all of our uh young people and our pre-teen and I believe our College and Career age group uh in just a moment and um I want to quickly go through each of these classes first of all um in the pre teenth Sanctuary uh they are going to be uh together with with our youth so uh and that's in the that'll be held in the youth Sanctuary brother buddy Garcia will be speaking on the subject of purpose and all of our hyphen our College and Career uh career age group they are having a discussion with the winslows and our brand new College and Career I I know it's it's some of you are still figuring all that out so excited about our brand new leaders brother and sister Winslow and they'll be leading that uh discussion tonight called who am I and uh I I looked up some some statistics before um service this um uh this afternoon and I discovered that since they have been reporting they have found there have been 1,153 sightings eyewitness sightings of The Lochness Monster apparently according to uh the reports um there there have been uh they also say that 10,000 over 10,000 people have claimed with their own eyes to witness Bigfoot they said I've seen the Sasquatch for myself 10,000 people have made that over 10,000 people have made that claim within the continental United States uh now I I don't have the total number but between the years of 1963 and 1969 there um there have been uh 12,000 individuals that have claimed to have witnessed a UFO but I also discovered that there have been over 20,000 people just since the the I guess the early 70s that have claimed to witness a living Elvis Presley they said he's still alive and and so over 20,000 people have claimed that they've seen him for themselves and he's still alive and so that's what makes this night so special is we have a lot of eyewitnesses it's amazing to see Dr Wilson here believe it or not it's isn't that fascinating you can go home and say I was an eyewitness I saw him there tonight and so uh anyway we're so excited to have him here and he's going to be teaching here in the main sanctuary so good to have sister Wilson Dr sister Wilson sister [Applause] [Music] doct and uh so good to have her here music and I'll talk talk for a little bit and then we'll kind of dive in and we'll just read through some of the scriptures here I do want to say it's so good to be home good to see everyone and uh man it's hot right now in Texas it is hot in Texas uh Carrie you want to come up here and greet everybody amen amen want every greetings I give you my greetings so it says in Genesis chapter 1 verse 4 it's good to be here um he shouldn't have given me the microphone wow it's really great to see y'all I look beautiful I'm so thankful for what I I've heard and um have read about on Facebook and people that I've seen from here what y'all are saying is happening here at the PO it's exciting to know that God is doing great things um he's doing great things in my life I'm so excited about where we're going and what God is doing and what the future holds I'm so thankful for God's blessings in my life he's been so good to me I just don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for the Lord I don't think I would even be alive today if it wasn't for the Lord so it's wonderful to be able to stand here and and stand as a witness to God's goodness and his Mercy um and to testify of his good goodness and his mercy and to see what he's doing in your life with his goodness and his Mercy isn't God good isn't God Faithful I'm so thankful it's so good to be here glad I got to be here I'm so blessed amen amen what a joy it is to be uh home and just to give you just a little bit of update uh we were here just a few weeks ago for Father's day but that was a busy Sunday and the day after we took off driving moving Cade to Indiana and uh that was a long day so we left at 6:00 a.m. and we pulled into seon where the uh L berts the home of the throw Rose and we did that at 8:00 at night got to our hotel room about 9:00 next morning back up finish the drive unpacking the truck and uh everything is going well there with Kay and Lissa they're having a lot of fun he'll be here for Zion we'll be back for r a's conference and looking forward to that but won't be able to be here on that Sunday but my wife and I are traveling out every weekend and so I counted up here a few weeks ago I think we were 29 weeks into the year three of those we took as many sabatical and just got away and shut down so in 26 weeks we had been um I'd spoke 3.3 times a week not counting teaching classes not counting meetings the list goes on on that's just the average for the year so some of those weekends are eight or nine times a weekend and chapels on Tuesdays and Thursdays so anyway that's why I'm not here so I thought I would be back more Sundays but the schedule is just literally I'm every on every Sunday this year I will be here for all nations because I will not schedule anything on my favorite Sunday of the year I promise you that and so we'll be here for all nations and um but other than that literally every Sunday is gone except for the first Sunday before Christmas the Sunday after and the Sunday before Christmas we'll be in Indiana and so that's gone so it's basically the Sunday after is the only Sunday that I have free out the entire year so it's just really busy and so that's why I haven't been here but um I get online and as much as I can and uh catch up and see everyone I walked by someone earlier I said I see you and they what are you talking about like no I see you in church services and uh kind of laugh and have some fun with it so anyway really good to be home I want to um go to the Book of Genesis chapter 1 and I just want to note these are some very familiar verses of scripture and my subject matter tonight is along the lines of how do you deal with stress or here are some insights to dealing with stress I'm going to talk about just some very practical things but it's going to come from the word of the Lord to help you deal with stress going through stuff now the stress may replace it with anxiety or worry or frats or just how do I work through some things and I have to tell you that that night at Lambert's um on that Monday night well the next morning morning we got up to leave and we had not made it outside of the city limits of syon before I looked at my phone and begin to just glance and see what emails had come through and that morning I had received two emails and then just about an hour later received a text all along the same lines of what I'm going to talk about here and I say along the same lines in very general sense one uh was a particular note in a in an email from someone that said I've been praying for you and he just made a statement and that simple statement has grabbed a hold of me so I have been talking about this over and over and over again and not only like a teaching or preaching session but every day I'm living this I'm thinking about this this is becoming a very very deep part of of who I am and so if the Lord will allow me everywhere I go I'll we continue to talk along these lines I think this is some core principles that we can apply to our life in fact the Apostle Paul writes in believe it's 1 Corinthians 2 he says that I thought we were going to die in Asia but I learned something and that was I learned to stop relying on myself and instead rely on God and now that I have learned that I'm going to do that over and over again and God came through and I expect God to come through again and again and so the Apostle Paul we're talking about the missionary the church planner the guy who was going everywhere making a difference establishing the church he says I learned something by what I went through and so the question is is that what have we learned from the things that we have gone through and so this simple phrase that the friend of mine sent me has just grabbed a hold of me it's given me some more very simple Insight that I can apply to my life looking back at my my past and now I can say I can apply it today in my future I will continue to apply this in my life and so I want to relate all of that and in talking about these are just some insights and helping us to deal with those stressful moments of the things that we go through so Genesis chter 1 and verse 4 and God saw the light that it was here we go everyone say good good Genesis 1:10 and God called the dry land Earth the Gathering Together Waters called he sees and God saw that it was good verse 12 and the Earth brought forth grass and Herb yielding seed after his kind and the tree yielding fruit whose seed was in itself after his kind and God saw that it was good Genesis 1:18 to rule over the day and over the night to divide the light from the darkness and God saw that it was good and verse 21 God created great Wells and every living creature moveth which the waters brought forth bunly after their kind every wing fou after his kind and God saw and here it is again God saw that it was good verse 25 and God made the Beast of the earth after his kind and cattle after their kind and everything that creepeth upon the Earth after his kind and God saw that it was good then in verse 31 God saw every living thing that he made and behold it was very and here we go again it was good God saw it was good you know life life consists of more than just the isolated moments of good times but life also is comprised of not so good times light life has got the mountain peaks but life is also got its valleys life has got its sunny days but life is also got its rainy nights and it's impossible for us to separate the good from the bad or the mountain peaks from The Valleys instead who you are today and where you are today and the person that you have become in the Lord that that is everything that you have experienced and so when you come to the realization that I may not be everything that I want to be I may not be where I would like to be I don't really like some of the things that I went through but I see that God's hand is on my life right now and I know that God is leading me somewhere God's taking me somewhere and I'm okay with what God is doing then all of a sudden you begin to reconcile the fact that my life consists of both good and bad both mountaintops and valleys both rainy days and you see what I'm saying it's not just the sunny days it's it's the it's the stormy days and so when when you understand all of that then you're able to join in with the Apostle Paul in declaring that in everything give thanks unto the Lord for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you now this is just a Biblical principle we need to apply to our life the Bible says that we are to Rejoice always and and again I say rejoice and so you never stop rejoicing you never stop being thankful you never stop giving God glory you never stop giving God honor it doesn't matter if you're in a valley he's still worthy it doesn't matter if you're going through trouble he's still good he's still God and when you begin to realize that God has the ability and the strength and the power and that God rules and Reigns over it all not your trouble not your problem but God is bigger than all of that when you begin to understand all that all of a sudden it begins to put things in perspective this why the scripture says oh magnify the Lord with me I cannot make God any bigger than he is but I can certainly Magnify Him in a way that my perspective of him is that he's much bigger than my problem but instead many times we find ourselves talking about our problem and looking at our Challenge and looking at the problem in such a way that the problem gets magnified and God grows dim it's not supposed to be that way for a Christian instead we're supposed to be the ones who know that he is faithful with his word he's faithful with the dream that he gave us he's faithful to finish it he is the author and the finisher amen so when we understand that all of a sudden all the junk that we go through in life begins to take a different perspective it begins to understand that you know what I may have gone through that and I went through that and I've experienced this and I've experienced that but I wouldn't be where I'm at today I wouldn't have the knowledge I have today I wouldn't have the experience I have today if I hadn't gone through what I went through so this is how Joseph handled it Joseph said you meant it for harm but God meant it for good Joseph reconciled everything that he went through and he said God meant it for good now I got to be honest I don't know if I could say that everything in my life if I could truly say well God did that God admit that for good but I think it's pretty cool that Joseph he just got to this certain level of trust in the Lord that Joseph was able to say you know what God is orchestrating this whole thing you thought you did this you thought the enemy messed this up no no no God is bigger than all of that and certainly in Joseph's life it's so interesting that you have a guy who has a dream of his fathers and his brothers bowing down and the next thing you know he's thrown in a pit and then he gets in Piper's household and in Piper's household what does he do he learns how to do Administration work he becomes the chief administrator for Piper's household and he excels I mean he he he's prosperous the Bible says and then it's as if God said you know what this ain't the dream this isn't your destiny I I I'm going to move you forward you learn Administration here but you know what you've learned everything that you can learn you're excelling so I'm going to move you into a prison and in the prison what does he do he becomes the chief overseer he's doing Administration work and the next thing you know in prison he's forgotten about he gets in prison because Piper's wife lies on him she tells a lie he tried to he tried to take advantage of me and which is not true and he gets thrown in prison and the next thing you know in prison he's forgotten about but his forgotten being forgotten about was orchestrated by God because Pharaoh hasn't had the dream yet and if if Joseph had gotten out of prison before the dream Joseph would have left he'd gone back home he'd gone somewhere he wouldn't he wouldn't have been around but instead he was right there and all of a sudden Pharaoh has a dream and guy that used to be in prison with Joseph is in Pharaoh's Court he goes hey I know a guy who can tell you the dream his name's Joseph and the next thing you know Joseph is the second most powerful man in the world listen to me when you go through life and you go through this and you go through that and this and and you you see all these things you think man that's not good that's not good that's not good well Joseph declared it was good he says you meant it for harm but God meant it for good I wonder is there anybody here tonight that could say that I am where I'm at in my life right now because both the good times and the bad times both the mountain and the valley both the sunny days and the rainy nights and you know what I declare that it's good because I wouldn't be where I'm at today if it wasn't for all of that it's good look at your neighbor and say it's good it's good it's good I want to get sidetracked right now tell you how much I do not like Administration work I am not an administrator I I don't like Administration work and yet I learned Administration in Memphis I learned another level Administration Ser as executive Pastor right here and now I'm trying to learn another level of administration in helping to lead a bible college and I still don't like Administration work thank God for people like the Charis and others who just sister Megan I could go on on people who excel at Administration work and I'm I'm so thankful for people like that but and yet there's still a particular role that I have to fulfill in to a certain extent in dealing with Administration but I look at my life and I I wasn't thrown in a pit but I've gone through some things but I notice as I look back I learn Administration here and then another level here another level here another level and it just makes you wonder well what is God doing with all of this sometimes you can get very frustrated about something or you can say you know what God is preparing me for something else amen so it's interesting to me that as God is creating the world that God repeatedly says it's good just looks at and says it's good and and I saw something I've never seen before very simple but on the first day on the first day all God did was create light let there be light it's good there there's there's no water there's no land there's no birds there's no plants there there's no there's no man there there's no sense of any completion there's no sense of what God is getting ready to do there's no there's no what we would say Rhyme or Reason it just light it's good there there is a significant lesson or principle or an Insight here that we can apply to our lives and that is that God said it was good when everything that God was creating was in its incomplete form and God said it's good it wasn't finished God said it's good there's a whole lot more to come but right now where it's at it's good I wonder if we were to apply the same principle to our life when we say I see the light in the in the tunnel and we're not sure if it's a good thing or a freight train but when we see a little bit of light we could say you know what it's good the the the miracle is incomplete but but it's good I'm not really sure what all God is doing but you know it's good there wasn't a whole lot that happened today but it's good I got a little phone call and I think this might be a possible answer I'm not really sure it's good that is a total different perspective as opposed to well you know what the need's really big and we got this Challenge and it's huge and I just got you know the cloud was just the size of a man's hand worthless instead of saying you know what no it's good thinking back right now the prophet when he sends his servant he says go look comes back he said I don't see anything go look seven times he comes back the seventh time he said I see a cloud the size of a man's hand and as you read it in its context it appears as the so he's kind of depressed like we've been in a drought for a long time and there's only a little small Cloud that's out there that's not going to do any good we got a huge need instead how about no it's good reminded of disciples to come to Jesus and they say all we got is one little lad he's got two small fish and five loaves of bread it's like they're like man that ain't enough that's horrible instead they should have understand if they or let me back up and say like this if they could have understood that what Jesus was getting ready to do with that two small fish and five loaves of bread that he was going to feed a multitude of thousands of people they would have been come running to Jesus said hey we got two fish and five loaves of bread it's good y'all y'all get my point I know this is simple but this is the problem so I'm going to be I'm going to be really blunt okay this is going to be really blunt this is so simple that some of you will get in a church service and you'll lift your hands and you'll shout and you'll sing praises but you'll walk back out of here and get hit with a problem you were not expecting tomorrow and you'll be all worked up all worried trying to sleep can't go to sleep at night trying to take pills so you can lay down and get a little bit of sleep because you're so filled with anxiety and worry and fret and all this kind of stuff and if you would simply change and say you know what no it's good my God is in control he knows what he's doing he's got it I promise you it would make a difference [Applause] now he done Goen meddling that's what someone said one time God salt was good on the third day of creation third day God separates the waters and he summons dry land to emerge and he names the land Earth and they gathered Waters he calls seas and God saw it was good notice this the land is Barren there's no vegetation there's no trees there's no animals there's no there's no birds there's no fish in the Seas there's nothing it's just a separation sometimes we go through moments where things appear as though they're separating that there's a pulling apart what we've been accustomed to has been this way and all of a sudden it begins to change and in those moments of change and separation we feel like we a loss is taking place and we're trying to gather back we're trying to hold it together and God is trying to separate because God understands that if I can bring separation from that I will begin to cause things to flourish but I first I've got to separate it before it flourishes and we're trying to hold it together God's trying to bring separation sometimes the separation is a separation of friends sometimes the separation is from from toxic relationships sometimes the separation is from a really good job because God wants to give you a better job and what happens in life sometimes is that we're trying to hold on to everything but we don't understand the good stuff that's coming could I let let me just be really really transparent and just talk about a very natural aspect that Carrie and I have experienced well the last few years as we were here and going back and forth from lovkin and the Bible College and and traveling and we we've experienced what we term and Carrie called it um scattered Nest so we were going here and there and Cade was here and jayen was dating in school and and everything was just scattered and we're living in a in a fifth wheel in lkin and then back here to our house and then in September we move to to um Lan and and nothing seemed any different people are like well how does it feel now that Kade got married and jayen got married we're like we don't feel anything different than it has been it's just been scatteredness it's still scattering us up until Father's Day Father's day was kad's last service serving as band director and the next day we drive them to Indiana and by the end of the week Thursday we're on a plane flying home and all of a sudden we experienced empty nest and dad got a little depressed Dad didn't like it I'm talking about me I didn't like it I'm like I just got the incredible daughter-in-law and I got to say bye my son's gone and then all of a sudden they come in town for a few days for a conference Educator's conference and it was busy we got to see them and then they come to the house on a Friday night and then we're back down at the airport and they fly back on Saturday and now he's calling me he said Dad man I had such and such messy Sunday and Grandma family said it was great so if you're watching right now Mom thank you I I wouldn't never been able to experience that Joy without the separation we go through life sometimes and the things that bother us now that God what he's trying to do is create space so he can create something brand new and then that newness is something that's wonderful but we don't get the experience it if we don't call it good I'm talking about the baren state if we don't call what this process this journey if we don't call it good we never get to the other CU sometimes if we don't call it good we don't trust God to move forward so we just pull right back to where it used to be does this make sense what experience feels like a loss is often the beginning of something new then after separating the land the sea God continues his creative work and now he transforms this Barren Earth to become a flourishing Garden it's just beautiful he's got all kinds of plants and vegetation and trees and yet and there is this noticeable absence of a man to till the land someone to man The Garden someone to take care of things and before long if you don't have man or creature particular taking everything is going to become very overgrown doesn't Mak sense and so you end up with this Insight that's very important is that some times what God is actually doing is that he is preparing he's preparing with a vision of what is to come let's say it again God is preparing things even right now because he has a vision of what is to come see God knows the end from the beginning and God is doing things right now for things that are to come and you don't even see it I told the 6:00 service I remember this night many years ago when we lived in the church and you many of you have heard me tell the story but I'll never forget on a Sunday I said let there be money in the mail I was looking at the tithe and offering there was like $32 and some change and I said let there be money in the mail tomorrow cuz we had to pay church bills and we had a note at the at the bank and um I needed $1,000 and at that time $1,000 might as well have been $25,000 I didn't have it and I remember the surge of Faith like man it's going to happen there's going to be money in the Mel tomorrow and I went to go lay down and all of a sudden it I dawned on me I should have prayed that prayer earlier in the week because it's going to take at least four days for the mail to run I need it tomorrow but it's not going to get here until like Wednesday or Thursday or maybe Friday and nowadays with the mail it maybe another week who knows and so I I remember I'm laying down in bed to go to sleep Kade was about probably 2 and 1 half three years old and jayen wasn't born yet and I I remember that thought hitting me like oh man I should have prayed that prayer and then all of a sudden it hit me so strong was said no God knew what I was going to pray for today he knew I was going to pray it today and God already answered it last Wednesday and the money is going to be in the mail tomorrow I'm talking about God preparing things for us before we even realize we need them I was so excited about this Revelation that God knows what I going to pray today and he's already answered it there are prayers now I feel the Holy Ghost right now there are prayers that I'm going to pray sometime in the future that God has already been working on right now he's already making the connections God's all my Lord God has already made the connections God has already created the resources for a prayer that I'm going to pray someone L down in the line in the future but God is taking care of her right now I was so excited I remember turning over and Carrie was sleeping on her side and I said Carrie I said you're not going to believe it I said God knows what we're going to pray before we pray it I'm like that doesn't sound that great doesn't sound that like a great Revelation she went she woke up she go uh-huh went right back to sleep next morning I'll skipple all the details went down to post office box that's where we normally get all the mail there was nothing there went about my day got a phone call from Carrie had to run home I was a youth secretary in Tennessee at the time and had some complications with the Youth Camp going on that summer ran home which is the church that we were living in made some phone calls got ready to leave stop had a little po a little mailbox out from the church I only checked that mail about once every two weeks cuz we never got anything in that mail opened it up had my fancy truck I roll down the window it's a fancy truck and uh y'all don't know what those are like roll it down the window and I reached in that mailbox and pulled out a letter and it was from a pastor his name is Johnny goair Brother go A's brother Go's relative and brother Johnny goair in North Carolina and he said brother Wilson I was praying for you today he said I just felt led to send you a love offering I know where you're at I've been there and he said I hope this helps and it was a check for [Applause] $1,000 God knows what we need before we ever get there there are things that you're going to need 5 years 10 years 15 years from now that God is already making the connections and bringing the resources together and God's doing things and you don't even see it right now what you ought to be doing right now is saying you know what it's good it's good I don't understand it but it's good it's good it's good I don't have time to go into all the stories but I've watched this happen over the last several years I was riding down the road in the middle of the ice storm that happened about 5 years or so ago and the Lord spoke to me he said I will bless you through your connections I'll bless you through your connections I'm Watching God bring things I've had conversations even the last couple months of things that I of great needs and things that are in laying in front of me right now and things that I'm involved in and trying to help different Ministries move forward and and God is speaking and he's saying I bless you with your connections and all of a sudden you have a conversation with someone that says hey you know what I I I I believe that God's at work I'm going to take care of this for you and I'll do this and just different ones I'm telling you God knows what we need before we ever get there there's some things that we are a stressing out over even right now that we don't see it that God's already connected you to people and resources and you wouldn't be stressing over it if you can make the connection but God's already done it so what you need to do in the midst of the stress is say you know what it's good cuz someone say it's good God does not create just for the moment he prepares with a vision of what is to come God is not just about taking care of you in the moment God is concerned and looking at what is to come he understood the needs of his creation before the needs even manifested themselves amen so I wrote this I posted this on Facebook a couple days ago it just hit me so strong you look at the future and wonder how but what you don't see right now is all that God has been doing behind the scenes to cause you to thrive in what he already knows you will need before before you ever get there amen you need to call it good on day four God created the sun moon and stars to govern the night and day now the purpose of the Stars sun and moon was not just for beauty it wasn't just for the light and the beauty of the day the night but what God was doing was that he was bringing about a a a rhythm a a pattern Stars used for navigation purposes the night so man would sleep the day so man would work and what happens many times in our life is that we are experiencing A disruption of our rhythms anybody know what I'm talking about right now when you experience A disruption of Rhythm all of a sudden this is how I've been living my life and then all of a sudden it's disrupted and yet there's new growth that comes about when you enter into a a new Rhythm we's say it again God disrupts our rhythms and it causes frustration it causes us to to to resist what God is doing but what actually is happening is that those new rhythms are crucial to where God is taking you what God is bringing into your life those new rhythms are crucial can I can I just give you an example of that okay I'm serving as executive Pastor here at the Pentecostal C ktie I've got a rhythm to my life I'm used to how much money comes in my wife how much money comes in from her work I'm used to what my days look like I'm used to what my mornings look like I'm used to Rhythm all of a sudden God begins disrupting my rhythm I step into another role another position now I'm driving back and forth I'm trying to figure out how do I do this how do I write when I don't have mornings anymore I'm talking about mornings to be able to to sit and write and that I'm on the road I'm driving two and a half hours and it's 6 o'clock in the morning I'm on the road I'm traveling I can't write when I'm traveling how how do I get a new Rhythm and then all of a sudden I start getting used to my rhythm and then my speaking engagements and things begin to pick up and travel gets worse and then I'm I'm out of on a Friday and I'm backing on a Monday and then I'm back at school and it's Tuesday Wednesday Thursday classes on Friday then you take off again and then you're looking at where's where's my rhythm where's my Sabbath how do I get a time off where do I get rest in our world today it's kind of like a badge of honor I don't ever take a rest well God rested on the seventh day Jesus rested and then we're so full of stress and worry and and and trouble and let's goes on and on and we won't do what he's told us to do which is take a Sabbath so how do I practice the Sabbath can't do it on a Sunday can't do it on a Saturday on a week because I'm speaking on the weekend I'm traveling so how do I how get a new how do I get a Sabbath so I'm trying to establish a rhythm and I talk to people all the time that they don't live my life they don't have my life but they have the same problem they're trying to establish a rhythm I talk to people who they work a regular job and they're active in their church and then they've got this going on with the kids and that's going on and all of a sudden there's sickness with their parents now they're taking care of their uh their aging parents the list goes on and on and you're trying to get a new Rhythm and all of you who ever had a child you know exactly what I'm talking about right now when a little baby comes along it totally disrupts your Rhythm and if you've been going to church for a good while all of a sudden you feel as though that you're backslid because you ain't getting anything out of the service because everything's messed up you can't even go get gas without having to get out of the car and take the baby with you and I mean it's just like one thing after another and so there is a spiritual principle here and that is that life sometimes disrupts things but it's okay if you understand that God God is disrupting things because God is going to bring something new into my life and I can't get there without experiencing disruption so my disruption it's not a bad thing instead it's a good thing because what I'm going to get to over here if I can just endure this change of Rhythm does this make sense now for those of you who are worried that's 9:40 and we still have a lot to go I'm coming to a quick ending okay it'll be all right it'll be all right day five God creates the sea creatures the birds of the air God saw that they were good so finally finally everyone say finally finally there's something that lives in the waters that God had prepared because it didn't make sense before but now oh oh it made sense because we have fish in the waters oh there's birds flying around oh it makes sense now that God created the trees again to make sense God is establishing an ecosystem but even then it's incomplete God God has got things he's putting in place for an intended purpose but it still doesn't make complete sense because there's no man but what God is doing is that he's preparing a place for man and on day six God makes the animals and God said it is good there's no man but God says it's good it's not complete but God says it's good there's no one to rule over the animals to rule over the wild beasts to have dominion over the Earth but yet at that moment God says it's good because if you take all of these things that God has been doing and this is where and I'm almost I'm coming to a close but this is what happens in our life if you take all the things that we have experienced and you separate them as isolated acts and you view one in it's isolation it makes no sense but when you take all of these things that God says that's good that's good that's good that's good that's good and you view them all in its entirety and you place man in the midst of all of this all of a sudden it all begins to make sense it all begins to add up and God says it's very good so here's the statement a friend sent me and I'm telling you from that moment for about the last five of six weeks I can't get away from it he said God is preparing a place for you he's preparing you for the place God is preparing a place for you and he's preparing you for the place when it's all said and done if you'll just hang on let God finish writing the story you will have an opportunity to declare with Joseph they meant it for harm but God meant it for [Applause] good God's preparing the place and God is preparing you I was ministering along these lines just a few weeks ago I was I was in Iowa and then um I was speaking at a in a daytime at a at a at a camp I didn't have it in my notes didn't plan on saying it but man it was just one of the it was just a moment that it hit me so strong and I made a statement along these lines that if I could go back if I could go back to the 5-year-old kid who in kindergarten we moved D was a pastor soon Pastor from another church in first grade I moved in second grade I moved I was in a different school from kindergarten through seventh grade I miss phonics I don't I don't know how to read a word and sound it out with phonics the school I went to as we were moving when I was supposed to be learning phonics they taught site reading so here I have a doctorate but I still mess up words I read the word debris and I read it it's always deis every time I have a list of words I have them I should say jayen has them she keep she keeps a book these are the words that Dad messed up we moved if I could go back and tell the little the little Jean it's what call me back then if I could go back and I could tell Jean that because he experiences so many different cultures and so many different moves that there will come a day that Eugene you'll go to different cultures and you'll Minister you'll go overseas you'll Minister you'll write books you'll go from a rural town to living in the number three or number four largest city in America you'll go you'll go all over the place and speak and and teach and you'll step in and out of cultures that seems so different and some people struggle with but it's going to be easy for you because I prepared you I Was preparing you for a place if I could go back back to the guy who was pushing the lawnmower on a Sunday afternoon at 36 37 years well actually at the time probably 35 or so years old pushed on a lawn morning Sunday afternoon so frustrated saying I don't have to be here I don't have to be putting up with this I don't have to be doing this all I want to do is train leaders and the Lord spoke to me and said train them and I said yeah right we got four or five leaders to train and the Lord said if you'll be faithful with a little I'll give you much if I could go back to that guy who was so frustrated on that Sunday afternoon and tell him Eugene you're going to go back to school and get your Masters and get your doctorate you're going to write books you're going become a president of a college you know what that guy back then who was so frustrated you know what that guy would have been doing if he knew what was going to be happening right now the frustration would have left and he would have said it's good it's good I know I'm going through stuff right now that I don't like but it's good it's good and so in closing Paul says I'm going to remind you what I said at the beginning Paul says I have learned to stop relying on myself and now expect God to come through again and again Paul said' I've learned some things because of what I've gone through I have learned some things from what I have gone through and it's coming together in such Clarity in the last several weeks to the point that today I find myself going through stuff I'm I've got a list of bucket load if you want to sit down and share stories right now my story is probably not going to Trump your story but it's a pretty big one right now there's challenges on this side challenges on that side challenges over here challenges over there but you know what and it's all said and done it's all good because God is still preparing a place and he's still preparing me and on the other side of all this oh my word amen it's good amen would you stand with me right now and just Lift Your Hands to Heaven would you just say God help me help me not just today but help me tomorrow and next week and next month and God when I get hit with this and I get hit with that God help me to declare that it's good help me to declare it's good God help me to change the way I view my troubles and my problems God In a Different Light help me to see them God as elevation that you're using what I'm going through to elevate me you're using it to move me up higher God help me to see it in a different light everything that's coming my way God it's it's sent by the enemy to destroy but God you have either allowed it or you meant it you brought it together God you orchestrated it God because you're wanting to bring something good out of it and I give you the praise and I give you the glory even right now I magnify you and I declare it's good my trust is in you my challenge I'm faced with right now God I declare it is good God it's good it's good it's good I give you praise Lord I give you praise Lord I give you praise Lord amen you can I I'm going to be blunt again you can go through life how you want to go through life and just be miserable and all that but I promise you I ain't doing it I'm done I'm not doing that I'm going to declare it's good I'm going to declare it's good ah someone shout hallelujah amen would you lift up your voice and hands one more time and just tell the Lord God I'm going to declare it's good in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus ah in the name of Jesus would you like to sing it one time with your eyes closed you are good you are good you are good and your mercy is forever you are good yes you are you are good you are good and your mercy is forever let's sing it one more time to the Lord this be our last time through make this your prayer right now you are good your mercy is forever you are good you are good good you are good God you're good and your mercy is forever God you're good you're good Lord I pray God you help me in all the challenges I'm facing God to declare that you're good you do Rule and Reign Over It All trouble is no big thing for you Lord my past God it's not going to rob me of my future God all is well and I give you the praise and glory in the name of Jesus and everyone say amen amen thank you for being here Wednesday night thank you for allowing me to share my heart I just I'm preaching to myself I'm teaching I'm speaking I'm talking to myself right now God bless
