pin from her side I'm GNA have to do this quickly um so I'm going to be briefly talking about the doctrine of solar scripture um and I'm going to go a bit a bit briefly into Michael Krueger's works on this you know establishing a cannon stuff like this um because these things were important especially as it is the ground and pillar of our faith according to um stene himself um it's it's necessary that we affirm the scriptures and all we do sorry this always happens when I start off I have to build up I'm staring a bit that's that's how it goes of course Lord forgive me but yeah just just scriptures are the so infallible rule of our faith okay and if anybody has a disagree with this please come up um I don't mind there's um an individual watched on over on Adam's Channel by the name of Bas cat he's a Catholic and I don't mind Catholics coming up here and of course I'm doing it for him and others who may be in another country who um of course are starting off a bit later okay um again this stream is not for you know uh people are back talkers people are rude and vile this is people who want to generally have a conversation an adult conversational the doctrines of Christian theology um and that's it really that's it of course if you're an atheist if you're agnostic if you're a Roman Catholic if you're Ean Orthodox if you are a Muslim feel free to jump up the link is so what I want to establish first is this Doctrine it's the fundamental doctrine of Faith now I'm just beginning on this I'm going to go into and expound it a bit more but one thing you got understand is if you are a Christian the scriptures should be your infallible it should be the starting presupposition of everything you do now this is a nkjv that I've got have for years um great book by the way it's got some annotations in the back but yeah great book by the way great book by the way but I'm a KJV only it's only when it comes to the books I the Bible actually read consistently I don't mind other Bibles don't get me wrong but in so far as I like to read the KJV I would say the KJV onus in that respect okay so I mean but yeah let's not go on a diversion let's get straight to the point so the scriptures are our infallible rule of faith let's first establish this by going to Luke 24:44 to 45 I'm going to give a bit of commentary as well um so yeah let's read here Luke 24 44 to 45 now what I'm going to be doing just listing a bunch of scriptures that affirm this you there's many others but this is just a brief rundown of why I think the doctrine of s scriptor is is fundamental to the Christian church and that without the Christian Church of course without the scriptures there would be no Christian Church to begin with in essence the scriptures are building upon themselves and building from that Source well of Life Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit and given us the church we have today that's why the church today can be fundamentally critiqued by the holy scriptures for there is no other rule of faith that can determine right or wrong doctrines people can have opinions but if those opinions don't weigh up with the weight of scripture and I don't just mean a few verses here or there I mean the overbearing weight of scripture then they are to be disregarded that doesn't mean we deny history as somebody who affirms s scripture I don't deny historical text um I've read many different Church fathers Clement of Alexandria Clement of Rome Ignatius irus I've read these Church fathers but the one thing I discerned from all of them is that although they believed in a tradition they believed in a tradition of their time which was the scriptures you see you see when when we were closest as a church to the pureness of Jesus teachings that's when of course we could say look back at the Traditions but now in this current day and age we cannot do so there is so much differing and contrad contradictory views amongst the fathers that we can't simply go and look back at St Vincent of lens and say you know what he says Carin so he must believe it no rather we should affirm what the scriptures say and let that determine sound Doctrine or determine how we read other outside of sound Doctrine let's get let's go Luke 24:44 to4 then he said to them these are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms concerning me and he opened their understanding that they might comprehend the scriptures now this is in Luke 24 this is after Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior has rose from the dead he's Rose from he's risen from the dead and you know he's appeared before you know the apostles he's appeared before of course Mary and in this Apparition as he speaking to the apostles and the prophets he says to them you know he he Exes from the scriptures to them you see the one thing he doesn't do is just give them a new tradition of course he's given us a new covenant and we able to affirm that but he goes into the oldest Testament you see Jesus Christ is the same now in the past and forever that's according to the Bible Jesus Christ does not change so when we look at the Old Testament now we can discern that this coming Messiah this coming prophet he was would shed his blood for our sins according to the book of Isaiah 53 um Isaiah 9:6 Isaiah 7:14 so on and so forth you can clearly see that this individual is going to be or going to come and going to give us that new law but not only that he also exes about themselves from the Old Testament and he open their understanding that they might comprehend the scriptures you see for Jesus Christ it was of utmost importance that the church comprehend the scriptures that the church comprehend that which was before it you see the church according to and I'm going to show it briefly here um if I'm quiet okay should have it got so much stuff here the church according to Ephesians 2:20 says here Ephesians 2:20 having built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets Jesus Christ himself being the Chief Cornerstone the church is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and the prophets you know so when people run to other passages for example in the Bible it says of course that the church is the ground pillar of our faith they don't understand that the church is built upon a foundation itself the pillars are built upon a foundation the Chief Cornerstone is the one laid before anything else you understand so the apostles and the prophets are predating they are precursor to this church we already have and yet the foundation of the church relies upon their writings you see this Messianic prophecy the the the coming Messiah the coming Temple of the Lord the dwelling of the Lord the um Yeshua hamashiach entering into his Temple this is all found foundationally in the scriptures that were given to the Jews and how were they given you musts well they were given through prophecy through Revelation that's how we determine how they were given of course you can find throughout all of the because there's different genres in the Old Testament right you can find all throughout the Old Testament different genres of writing but generally speaking all of those genres According To Jesus Christ himself are inspired you know the Old Testament speaks of him that's what we say in the Book of John chapter 5 Romans 15:4 for whatever things were written before were written for our learning that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have have hope yeah don't worry don't worry that's not how so I'm just going to answer briefly the question of course I've asked people to come on um and I've made it very clear that this is an open stream where people can actually debate and discuss these so if you want to jump on um but seen as you Roma compuls Monday seen as you just want to s a chat and hide that's fine I'll will answer your question briefly so you said Can anyone answer that what about so scriptural before the scriptures were inaccessible well so scripture is not the idea that because there's no scriptures therefore so scripture is the fun so scripture is not the written word and that is it no that's not it okay because before the written word what was there a apostol apostles who were taught by the master himself and that's what we would base our faith on so of course at the time of the Apostles although there were writings at the time of the Apostles you can find that in Ephesians 4 okay you can find it very clearly and the Old Testament was still in sorry accessible at the time of the Apostles you see that 1 Corinthians 15 for example as I read out to you in other passages as well where we're told to holds to what we've been given how can we do so how can Timothy for example in second Timothy 3:16-17 hold fast to the scriptures that are the so inedible rule of faith if there were none you see that's the issue okay so what we generally say is the the apostolic witness the time of the Apostles has ended that's just that's just a given those writings which the church receiv received which we do not deny that the church receives them the church is not a the church is does not manipulate these things rather a church is a recipient of these things those writings themselves become the blueprint for a church you see because the apostles themselves were inspired for example let me show you here and I only go to the word of God for this stuff okay let's go to um let's go to let's go to um yeah let's go okay so we go to first Thessalonians 2:13 for this reason we also thank god without seizing because when you received the word of God which you heard from us you welcomed it not as the word of men but as it is in truth the word of God which also effectively Works in you who believed so you got to understand one thing is that the presupposition of s scripture is that prophets are are used in fact and where there is no written tradition there is an all one the question then stands upon what is that written in all tradition and that's very clear from the text we know that the apostles according to Paul himself are the ones who are the who are the ones who are giving the word of God as we're told by Paul himself for this reason also thank God we thank god without ceasing because when you receive the word which you heard from us okay so automatically he doesn't he doesn't assume that they would have the word of God again the recipient of the word of God is the Church of feso that's the recipient of the word of God and also I want you to notice this word received received is part past tense it's not your receiving no you received the word of God you received it now at the time of the Apostles of course there was no there was no written terms in terms of like maybe the book of um Revelation that wasn't written out at the time but that's not what we believe we don't deny that they weren't written writings we don't we don't deny that the church itself is a recipient of the New Testament what we simply came is is that the Authority or Behind These script determines their veracity and the authority Behind These scriptures are of course Apostles themselves so we don't need to jump the gun and say well you know Ignatius wrote some stuff yes he did well that's fine um but we don't need to jump the gun and claim that Ignatius somehow is akin to an apostle apostles were chosen primarily from God just a given okay seeing as there's no more Apostolic witness there is nothing else we can refer to as scripture the question i' ask you Roma kaput M if that's your name probably not your name your your mom probably didn't name you that name when you born right but the one question I asks you okay so where is where are the words of Jesus the canonized words of Jesus Jesus Christ and the apostles in the Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox church outside of the New Testament the 27 books of the New Testament where can you find that and if the cannon list is closed there has to be a reason why it's closed I would argue it's because the church is recipient of the Apostles sayings the church merely receives it doesn't create okay um who said that we isn't a sin most things were a sin with it I don't know what you're talking about you're just making stuff up most things are a Sin okay according to the Book of Proverbs just is a sin okay lying is a sin pride is a sin okay how many people are Pride for and believe that they don't they don't sin but according to the book of First John if anybody says they don't sin they don't have the father in them so I mean let's be honest people produc it and I would never tell somebody oh go and smoke weed I would never tell anybody that but I would say we all struggle with sin primarily the question is are you willing to struggle or are you willing to are you telling me that you'd rather adopt that if you told me I'm a happy happy weed smoking Christian I'm going to tell you look smoking weed is wrong it's a sh if you're telling me that you don't like doing it but you struggle with it that's a completely different thing on entirely but again I'm not a pastor a pastor is giving this role according to the book of Philippians and other books as well okay a pastor is given the role to look after the Sheep of Christ you can see that of course with Luke for example Luke 22 where Jesus says to the Apostle Peter feed my lamb feed my sheep sorry feed my Lambs feed my sheep okay so that then the question comes if that's the case as as we'll see that the apostles do feed the Lambs and feed the sheep if that's the case then yeah right that's the role of somebody who's either an apostle or aor pastor and if you are struggling these things what I'll tell you to do is go to your pastor seek out pastoral guidance seek out help if anything okay I wouldn't tell you go go around smoke weed Willy nly no that's not biblical it's as simple as how can anything be the creation of God yet he never really for example how could you be the creation of God yeah he didn't you know engage in procreation with your mother like that's just a stupid argument because God through Divine Providence guided the scriptures he influenced the minds of men who guided the scriptures so what because he can do that that's the thing he influences the minds of men to write down his holy word and every time he speaks it's Revelation revelation of what God wants of us but also through his Apostles through His prophets he has spoken in times past okay there's no there is no Claim by the apostles or by the prophets that there be further generation of anything after them that would you know escape the truth of the gospel for example this is the reason why I believe in Joseph Smith or the Roman Catholic church or Islam because further prophecy if it goes against and negates the word of God it's not necessary if the Apostle if I'm sitting by the feet of the Apostle Paul he's telling me everything I found in here and all of a sudden a Roman Catholic priest comes up to me and says well um we in fact in infallibly Define the scriptures and the only way to determine whether there's Cannon is through us I'm going to be like hold on but Paul said it and that it's just as clear as day at that point you know the apostles according to Luke 24 they're the ones taught by the mar himself they are taught by Jesus himself so why am I running to Papa franu or alonsus Lori or to a random you know online Church Father who thinks they are a Church Father Like J why am I running to these people and I just run to the apostolic witness you know you see they want to battle with words we don't need to do that God is infallibly glided in scriptures to the point where the King James version by the grace of God is the most popular book book on the planet it's is ridiculous a seed a master seed of a religion started in the Jewish Community you know all of a sudden has dominated most of the known world and it does so through the word of God explain that you know atheism can't really explain most things atheism can't explain why human beings have conscious reality atheism can't explain why human beings have subjective reality atheist can't explain why there's logic reason and Mathematics you know atheists just assume that their five senses give them a valid interpretation of what reality is just atheists assume and assume and assume you have to have a lot of faith to be an atheist and I don't have that kind of faith in me sorry I'd rather believe in Christ seems to make more sense of reality um if you guys want to come up feel free to come up I'll put a link in the chat um okay so I the find the churches those Believers in Christ who are regenerated and covered in the blood of Jesus Christ and born again through his holy spirit quite briefly um so the church can be the church without inferring or even believing in for example ner 2 which according to history infallibly defined according to their Notions infallibly defined by the way because they make up what infallible is according to their counil claimed an anatha on anybody who does not bow before images and random cartoons of men and of course the um the um individuals the iconic class of the time we're disagree with this and now I would say the iconic clastic position is the earliest position you can find it in tertullian you can find it in origin okay it's it's very clear that both these writers affirmed an icon class position and they're both Witnesses of an early church whether they were heretical or not doesn't matter to me okay well of course I'm British I was born here okay okay be like howy ho I'm American stupid okay um logic isn't just language you in order to infer any sort of Bill in order to infer any sort of logical reasoning you have to infer a working Consciousness and you have to infer um laws of logic themselves so you have to infer that there are Universal states of Affairs that allow for laws of logic and that those laws of logic cannot change in within any instance I mean that's just an inference you're assuming you're having faith that's why atheism is a faith BAS religion okay so yeah um well it's easy to point out the church preserve the scriptures they did so through the Holy Spirit you see the scriptures are the authority and the preservation of the Holy Spirit working in men you see the Bible tells us that the the spirit will guide the Church of Truth it says will guide it doesn't say guided so this guiding process also happens through his word you know without the scriptures there is is no church and I say that importantly because people don't understand what I mean by that what I what I say is this without the words of the Apostles and the prophets you can get away of anything and call that church you can get away with anything you can claim that mother Mary is the mediatrix of all um Saints and that only through her intercession and hers alone can you be saved you can claim that praying to images and venerating images if you don't do such things you are worthy of an anatha you can make those claims because there is no consistent rule of Faith to determine which is Apostolic in origin to determine whether this is right or wrong you know and this is the problem it's a load of inferences I often times see people online romanist apologist Eastern Orthodox apologist coming up with the same spill well how do you know Matthew wrote Matthew simply through divine revelation we can do history nobody denies doing history but we don't make history especially the writings of others the main goal of our historical studies we look at the apostles and Prophets first okay it's just like going to a unfortunately this is the problem that Roman Catholics es for us have if they claim that the church Authority is how we determine scriptures okay and that we can't really have scriptures about church Authority then well just say goodbye to Jesus then because he wasn't really The Authority here it would have been a Sanhedrin before him right what Authority or ground that he have to stand upon he made the claim that he was the son of God they accus him of blasphemy they are the Sanhedrin you know now I'm not doubting Jesus Christ I don't have any reason to doubt him I believe in Jesus Christ but that's the difference between me and the Sanhedrin of Roman Catholics and e or is that I rely on Supernatural tradition I rely on the truth of Christ scriptures I believe it because of the supernatural quality there in I don't need relatively speaking I don't need dudes like the Roman Catholics to say to me oh well you know I mean unless you're in our church you're not in to scriptures that's a lie because your church is not in accord with the scriptures the E Church is not in accord with scriptures they have a faith-based sorry they have a Works based salvation they pray to Mary they pray to Saints they invoke angels all of these things according to even their own Church fathers are wicked you can even show that their own church fathers believe this wicked here it it is against heresies book two chapter 32 he says it himself we do not invoke angels and yet who's praying to S St Mark who's praying to St Luke who's praying to the Archangel Gabriel I can show you many different instances of um Catholics e doing these things so in my Discovery going from you know Soo films going through all of that stuff you know having read deep in history I did what John Newman said wasn't possible because he said to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant what I say to be deep in the Bible is to cease to be a Roman Catholic and a marry worshiper to be deep in the Bible and church history is to cease to be both of these things Roman Catholic and East North kns because once you get into history you don't see this sort of church structure where is prayers of saints for 400 years of the church where is this as the defining where is the apostolic origin when it comes to veneration Recons you're telling me that somebody is antiz for 400 years not even four 700 years 700 years there were iconic glass all throughout the church and yet they are anathematized in their Council so far removed from the apostles by people who never really met the apostles who never really knew them claiming the authority based upon their Holy Spirit they think they had and you're telling me I've got to believe that no that seems to me to require a lot more better than usual okay okay well I mean maybe I do I do do a good Irish accent I mean that's not an Irish accent my apologies but yeah um yeah I don't know we return to scripture first scripture H don't most Authority as it is God's word which is eternal I was going to read something before obviously I get back to um you know my um my verses in regards to um because there's verses I've got in prayers to Saints I've got quotes from the church fathers which completely refute the idea but and I've seen of course the other side even quotes Clement of Rome and try to get away with a sloppy ex of Jesus which doesn't work it's just embarrassing oh but yeah look at the end of day this is what this is this is what this channel is for it's for addressing these sort of arguments yeah I just want to briefly go to Michael Kruger book this is Michael Krueger's book called Canon R Vis okay let me not start this is Michael Krueger's book called Canon Revisited establishing the origins and authority of the New Testament books I'm just going to read a bit from it okay so I'm I want to read this okay rer does not does this very thing when he States canonicity cannot be established it seems from the books themselves the problem then is not that the church plays a role in identifying canonical books Protestants would agree with this but the Catholic insistence that it plays the only definitive role in regards to the more stringent Catholic approach to the church Canon relationship the idea that the Canon is derivative from the church or caused by the church also raises a number of concerns one although the New Testament was not completed all at once the apostolic teaching was the substance of what would later become the New Testament and it was this Apostolic teaching along with the prophets that formed the foundation for the church rather than the other way around as Ephesians 2:20 affirms the church was built upon the foundation of the Apostles and the prophets the church is always the crura fway creation of the word pman sums it up the biblical Cannon is not a creation of theur church the church is instead a creation of the biblical Cannon the earliest Christians did have a cannon namely the Old Testament itself Romans 15:4 1 Corinthians 106 2 Timothy 3:15-16 which seems to have existed just fine prior to the founding of the church there are no reasons to think that the Israel of Jesus's day had any infallible Revelation from God that helped it choose the books of the Old Testament Cannon three from the very days Believers received Paul's letters as scripture first Thessalonians 2:13 Paul clearly intended them to be received as scripture Galatians 1 1-24 and even other writers thought they were scripture second Peter 2 sorry 3:16 thus the scriptures themselves never give the impression that their author Authority was derivative from the church or from some future ecclesiastical decision four it was not until the Council of Trent in 1546 that the Roman Catholic Church ever made a formal and official Declaration on the cannon of the Bible particularly the Apocrypha in light of this scenario what can we make of the Roman Catholic claim that without the church there would be no New Testament are we to believe that the church had no Canon for over 1500 years until the council Trent the history of the church makes it clear that the church did in fact have a functioning Cannon long before the Council of Trent or even the fourth Century councils ji Packa sums it up well the church no more gave us the New Testament Cannon than Sir Isaac Newton gave us the force of gravity God gave us gravity Newton did not create gravity but recognized it from all of this it clear that there is some confusion in the Catholic model at least in its more stringent vergence regarding human agency and divine Agency for example cre argument that the church caused the Bible is based on the fact that the Bible was written by the apostles and the Saints although C is technically correct that the I is written by human beings human beings who are part of the church to say that they were the cause of the Bible is obscure and at best thly we must distinguish between ultimate and proximate causes although human beings are are no doubt the proximate cause of the Bible ultimate cause is none other than God himself it is God's activity to inspire the biblical authors that produce the scriptures okay he not the church determined what would be inspired and what would not cre has confused the instruments God used to produce the Bible human beings and the ultimate C of the Bible God himself or put differently he has confused the historical order of the church and Canon church is first and with the theological order Canon is first NT wght describes this confusion in the Catholic view this makes the rather obvious logical mistake analogous to that of a soldier who receiving orders through the mail concludes that the letter carrier is his commanding officer those who transmit collect and distri distribute the message are not in the same league as those who write it in the first place did you hear that very good quote from n Riot I know I think n Riot is an angri from what I can remember maybe is I don't know but it's a very good is a very good point that the actual ones giving us or sending us the message are not the apostles or the prophets of that the ones the the primary Giver of the New Testament is in fact God himself and yet he uses these Earthly vessels which in and of themselves are infallible sorry fallible he uses them to determine his infallible decree and that's if that's possible all things are possible for God you see you know but the most very important thing I want you to get from this is that his claim those who transmit collect and distribute the message are not in the same league as those who write it in the first place okay now we could either determine it as well you you know the apostles write it so they're not in the same league as those who transmit and collect it well that's the case so let's look at it this way let's say the Catholic Church are the ones who transmit and collect and distribute the message but they're not in the same league as the apostles who wrote it in the first place in as much as the person or my grandmother in this case sends me a letter a soldier carries Dem mail to me he is not my grandmother he is not the one that wrotes the letter he's not the one who has author over the writings within the letter okay it is this confusion that leads Catholics to regularly claim that the Bible is a product of the church instead of acknowledging that a is really a product of God's activity only to be recognized and obeyed by the church here again we see commonalities with the historical critical model above both so EMP overemphasize the role of community the divine origins of these books are either denied or overlooked of course all these concerns simply lead up to the most fundamental concern namely whether the Roman Catholic model in some Cas sense makes the scripture subordinate to the church the answer to that that question is revealed when we ask another question how does the Roman Catholic establish its own infallible Authority listen very CLE carefully because it's a very good part of his book of course he go he'll go into other stuff as well but this is a very very interesting part of his book in fact I read this whole book a while ago I be getting into it again but this is something I want to outline really quickly um how does the Roman Catholic Church establish its own infallible inor Authority if the Roman Catholic Church believes that the infallible authorities like the scriptures require external authentication then to what Authority does the church turn to to establish the grounds for his own infallible Authority I'm going to repeat that again so you can understand it how does the the Roman Catholic Church establish its own infallible Authority if the Roman Catholic Church believes that the infallible authorities like the scriptures require external authentication then to what Authority does the church turn to to establish the grounds for its own infallible Authority here's where the Roman Catholic model runs into some difficulties there are three options for how to answer this question the church could claim that its infallible Authority is authenticated by and derived from the scriptures but this proves to be rather vicious circular reasoning if the scriptures cannot be known and authenticated without the authority of the church then you cannot establish the authority of the church on the basis of the scriptures you cannot have it both ways moreover on an exotical level one would be hard pressed to find much scriptural support for an infallible church but we cannot enter this question here so he's basically saying yeah like it would be circular reason basically to claim that oh the church der Authority based upon you know the holy scriptures would be circular and it would be it's a it's an internal external external AR it's a Circ argum basically okay and that's that's the point right it just leads to a non-ending PR progression that's the point who then is the infallible authority over the infallible authority over the infallible authority over the infallible Authority if you if you claim a s what grounds or basis do you have to as God what you got to the scriptures you see that's the problem two the church could claim that its infalible Authority is authenticated by external evidence from the history of the church the origins of the church the character of the church the pro progress of the church and so forth however these are not infallible grounds by which the church's infall infallibility could be established in addition the history of the Roman Catholic Church is not a pure one the abuses corruption documented paper errors the scriptures own claims should not be received on their own authority but apparently the church's own authority sorry the church's own claims should be received on their own authority so basically we shouldn't according to the Catholic claim which is literally where they're left after of course then model which by the way it's only only 54 pages into Michael Cruz's book and I think he's completely demolished the Roman Catholic Authority okay the by their own standard they can't use the fact that the scriptures authenticate their church because that's circular reasoning and they were Tri L for doing the same thing and then claiming that there's some external Authority if you look at history you know if you look at history it seems to be in accord with their church but when you look in history it's very model because you don't find PR Saints as a sort of um a successive Norm at least for the first 500 years of the church this wasn't a prog this wasn't a norm it just wasn't people weren't doing it you know hailing marry every five minutes it wasn't done you know praying to icons it wasn't done so then what do you do with these claims what do you do with ir disciple polycarp who was a disciple of the Apostle John himself literally claiming we don't pray to Angels what do you do with any of these writings just call tertunian origin Heretics because they didn't believe and affirm everything you believe and then that's it I still believe they're Witnesses okay but now that we've established that the Catholic Church model only deems its Authority based upon its Authority they cannot attack the model of the reformers which is so they cannot attack the claim that the church has Authority because the church says it's Authority they can't then attack the the scriptures have authority because the scriptures say they have authority they can't attack the model and you see this is the problem for the so solo Ecclesia model so I hope you understood that right hope you understood that okay um that God through his Divine Providence is guiding the scriptures you know and thus we have every reason to claim that the scriptures are finding Authority on matters of rule of faith and that anybody who you know sways away from scriptures or determines their Authority above that or equal to it has misunderstood the scriptures and does not believe in the god of the Bible unfortunately uh where does science what what okay even if it doesn't even if it does that has nothing to do with whether atheism as an ideology is true um scientism can't you know account stating this they are the Roman Catholic and Eastern churches are inclusive the church I belong to is not in the sense that Born Again Bible believing Christians can come from any institution but they will abore and this is very important they will abore false religions and false in tions simply because the spirit of God will move in him to go away from these institutions so you can find within the within the um Baptist churches wolv and sheep's clothing but you can also find Born Again Believers you can find within a Pentecostal church wolv and sheep's clothing but also Born Again Believers you can find within the Anan churches wol and sheep SL but born again Believers the wheat amongst the tears this is of course proph side in the Book of Matthew why we don't have any problem affirming of the Gentiles as well and then of course Jesus Christ fulfills this in the Book of Matthew chapter 27 um um Luke 24 23 you can see it all throughout the snop the gospels and John's epistle itself so yes it's very clear it's very clear that you know we're in accord with that I would say Islam is not in accord with that in a sense that it denies the veracity of the Old Testament but the weird thing is that the Quran will claim that there are Old Testament scriptures for example the Torah and the gospel and that we must adhar to them according to at least sorah 5 verse 68 and sorah 5: 46- 48 yeah okay um but like how do you uh like verify the authenticity of your text like how do you know that that the New Testament contains what Jesus actually said well again I just well I wouldn't ask the same question but I'll posit the same sort of response because your presupposition would be Islam and nobody outside obviously of Sunni or Shia sources really knew who Muhammad was where would whereas we would claim that of course Jesus Christ was a historical person not only according to us but according to to outside sources tacitus Lucian Josephus all would claim a Jesus Christ existed and then then would you disqualify uh like the what what you would call the the false gospels as being what Jesus actually said like the Gospel of Thomas Gospel of Judas things of that nature well if you read the Gospel of Thomas for example the Gospel of Thomas will state that for example Jesus didn't die but it would go against the weight of evidence which claims he did die and we would obviously look at the earlier Epistles like for example uh one Corinthians which was written around 45 ad maybe 50 ad we would look at that and we look at historical evidence related to that and think you know what it says he died and it says he rose again okay so then we look at the synoptic gospels and their Witnesses and the witnesses of time do they affirm these gospels yes they do so we so then we don't really need to affirm the Gospel of Thomas it would be an internal critique of each text the other thing is we know that these sources like the go of Thomas or the Gospel of Barnabas these to be later Traditions from the second century written by gnostics so and we know that simply by just looking in history okay um so then if if you take the gospels as as historical you take them as historically accurate correct if I take them historical yeah I'll take them as historically accurate yeah okay so uh I don't want to act like an expert in the gospels but there are some things in the gospels that that are not that historians only find within the gospels like an example of this is uh in the gospel of Matthew it said that Herod killed all the babies um forgotten in what area but this is not this is only found in the gospel of Matthew it's not found in any of the other gospels and it's not found in any other historical text outside the Bible like how would you reconcile that oh no that's that's easy well writing from a Jewish historical point of view he's actually written according to papius in the first century he's actually written his gospel in Greek sorry not in Greek in in Hebrew so he's written to a specific audience of the Jews themselves he of course would have known a bit more about this event than maybe John or maybe um the other Apostles would have known again that wouldn't stop the text for example like d there's no historical reference of D Kan actually seeing the sun set in the mudding pool whether this was a metaphor or not there's no historical evidence of this at all okay we only find D Caren mentioned in the Quran but we don't really know who du caran is he's claimed he is Alexander the Great but that's a claim that's not factual for example Solomon according to the Quran in chapter 18 of the Quran Solomon spoke to ANS we've got no historical evidence of that being the case okay so I would say by your Paradigm I would say that's a 4y way to look at how we established the veracity of the gospels themselves I would say it's not an error I would say it's obviously the uh the writings of the individual who witnessed these events or at least knew Jesus being you know slaughtered you know it says here so he assembled the sanhan of judges and brought before them the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ whose name was James and some elders and of course mentions that you know during this time he was you know handed off to death so we could see that from his writings but I would say that that doesn't really dispute the claim that would just be an argument from Silence which again he just if we go back to Islam we can find a lot of things written about prophets that are just not in history for example the building of the Caba according to Surah 2 um I think it's 157 of the to head but I could be wrong according to chapter 2 or Surah Al bakra of the Quran um we're told that Abraham and ish built you know the CA and yet we've got no evidence prior to the Quran of this actually happened so the Quran seems to be its own evidence you see that's why it's not a good criteria to attack the Bible I'd say that's a wrong way to look at the Bible plus the Quran confirms the biblical books we have that doesn't well um I understand what you're coming from but the the way I would respond is that if a book is authored by God then it doesn't really matter what other historical texts say because if it's authored by God then it's obviously going to be true so when the Quran says that Abraham and and Ishmael went and built built the first cabba that doesn't mean that um in other historical texts like the Old Testament don't say this doesn't mean that uh it's false if you if we can come to the conclusion that the Quran was authored by God and that's even implying that the Old Testament is 100% accurate in what it's detailing well you'd have to assume that you know Muhammad was right and he indeed was receiving Revelation from God which I just don't Grant I think that's a giant assumption but the other thing is you'd have to assume that Muhammad was right or allot of course was right by claiming that the human human beings can die human beings can perish but Christ's body his form cannot change it cannot perish it's Eternal and eternally exist in this form which is of course you know his um glorified body forever so he no longer a human now or he is still a human well I mean he he is in terms of his look when you look upon Christ you probably think that's a human but he is in a glorified body um you know he is in a glorified body one that is corrupt sorry Incorruptible so technically he wouldn't be human in the sense that we are but he is eternally human in the sense of he has a formed body that is created but Incorruptible and incorporable in many sense yeah no no what I want to know when he be God became a human being so he have to do like the way woman do like he have to eat food know before God because according to Genesis 8 the life of a man is within the blood of man God says if anybody takes a man's life his life will be taken he also says that any man any Souls that sins is worthy of death that's Deuteronomy okay so if that's the case if we all sin s and we're all worthy of death then that means that somebody has to die for us or we all pass away but if we all pass away we're not going to go to heaven because we're going to be our death will be continuous whereas Christ has redeemed us now so that we don't have to pay the punishment for our sins we live in Eternal righteousness through belief in him working your way to heaven is the problem of most religions and I would say most Muslims contr what you said most Muslims do believe they have to do good
