the Texas Longhorns did it again adding another five-star wide receiver to their 2025 class now just a few hours ago Jamie French was you know deciding between a bunch of different teams in terms of where he wanted to play college football right Alabama Tennessee Miami LSU and a bunch of other schools were in the mix for him but ultimately decides he wants to play his Collegian football at Texas who also has another five-star commit in khil locket as well and this team just continues to stack and stack and stack not only five star commits but high-end four stars as well in this video I wanted to break down the film of Jamie French and show you guys exactly what you're getting who he is what he adds and why this dude is going to be nasty at the next level and potentially another first round pick here for the Texas Longhorns down the line before we jump into the video do me a favor and comment down below a record prediction for Texas this season right opening day basically tomorrow um let me know what you guys think is going to happen with Texas season do you think they compete for a national championship right who doesn't think that right but with that being said kind of dive into Jamie French and what he adds now here's a good example of his body control in the catch point right the catch radius of this dude is something that that I love you know he's 6'1 185 lbs one of the highest rated wide receivers in this class I love how he goes up there grabs it and then the body control to continue to bring this down the field for a touchdown I mean we can watch this back so many times this dude is Elite and that body control is something that I love right nice change of Direction great High Point love it man this is probably one of my favorite catches but there are so many more man it doesn't end there now another thing I love about him is the playmaking ability watch this play here we're going to get the ball to him pretty early on and then watch him just work right this is something they're going to want to do a lot in Texas something they did with a lot of their wide receivers right Xavier wory get him the ball quick little stick route goes up grabs it out of the air boom right makes the first guy Miss gets up the field whoop makes the other guy Miss as well great block there by his other wide receiver and then takes it to a house call celebrates as well these are the things that make me sit back and think wow this dude going to Texas with Archie Manning and some of the other guys they have over there committed right KJ Lacy another guy I believe in this class man this dude's going to be special I mean look at that right look at the stopping ability the change direction on a dime playmaking ability is through the roof man I don't understand how Texas continues to do it here's another one over the middle right this time I don't even know what just happened there what was this play did it go through that dude's hands it went through his other wide receivers hands right I mean what the hand the hand eye coordination on this play is dumb right I mean ball is going over the middle boom right through the hands of his teammate and then again you know how difficult that is to do to adjust the ball changing direction in midair off your teammate's hands that is just different again I could sit here and watch the dude's film all day the one thing I know he's an NFL wide receiver he is right 6' one Great Frame great change of direction right all obviously he's got things he needs to work on but man this dude is a stud here we go another play here this time um in the slot just a quick little fade route oh beautiful throw beautiful catch and again breaking tackles soaring into the end zone here let's see his release point so obviously you got some off coverage not too press boom just go right use that speed to just go that doesn't even really put a move on him he just goes boom right want to see um want to see some head swivel right want to see this guy really fake doesn't really do any fake just runs turns his head Ball's there right beautiful love it keep it going oh good good adjustment on this play going to see a little in route dig boom turns his head great great adjustment to this football right maybe not exactly where it needs to be or maybe didn't run his route hard enough but what we do know is the adjustment he has to make to catch his football boom right go get it hey love it let's let's keep it going now outside looks like he's your ex boom drops back I mean that's quick the decision uh the quarterback knew right away reason being no deep High safety whenever you have nobody in that second level that third level you're GNA see this is a yes no read what that basically means is this quarterback says all right we have no help over the top we have one1 coverage with my guy Jamie French I am throwing this ball no matter what so the first thing he's going to do is actually look to this side of the field he's not even going to you know think about throwing over here we have a one-onone matchup we're taking it every single day of the week right boom drops back looks left throws it right you got a one step drop there right from the shotgun this is a quick agreed once you make that yes no understand understanding boom great ball actually you did have deep safety help so there is one deep safety so we can see here is you probably have one guy playing a middle uh Midfield closed which is just you know a middle safety again that's still a yes no read and still a great throw here great route right gets off that line of scrimmage pretty quickly here o nice beautiful gets by it beats press makes that guy Miss in the open field as well beautiful man look at this dude this dude is crazy now basically you got one Middlefield close safety cheating to the right side of the field typical 11 personnel here I would say once again this is probably a yes no read for the QB we see oneon-one coverage no safety in the vicinity uh what he's going to run here is just a quick little slant over the middle running back is going to leak outside which is going to bring this DB down and then nobody's over the middle of the field so I don't really know what the defensive coverage on this play really is or the tight end um leaks into the flats boom he takes him nobody's over the middle I don't know if someone was supposed to get in a mid read or this is really just cover zero with one deep safety plank again I don't know what in the world this team was doing so it looks like manto man here it looks like this guy's cheating over for what whatever reason right I mean you should be in a mid read if anything this is manto man and this guy's got the running back I don't know what in the world just happened right either way throw it to him out the back or you know over the middle breaks the tackle makes another man miss I mean this dude is electric man cannot wait to see him play for Texas next year I go oneone match up this is a great get up wow look at that see that release beautiful scary tackle but great release love that one as well overall this dude is going to be a beast man he's going to be a beast I'm so excited to see what he can do in in Texas um especially with the other guys uh Kik Lo or yeah khik Lockett Jonah Williams Lance Jackson Elijah Barnes they got a lot
