Intro (dramatic music) - Come on, we got some insights for you. Take you to places
you've never seen before. - Terrell, I'm gonna start with you. Your story is very unique. Why does your story relate to the students at
Colorado State University? Why does your story relate to CSU - It's not about, for
me, like the destination, it's the journey. A lot of times you look at
life and you think, okay, there's only one way to get there. My story relates because it's not, and it really does speak to people that if you want something bad enough, it doesn't matter how you get there. You put the work in, you have to overcome a lot
of obstacles, adversity. You're gonna have challenges in life. That resonates with a lot of people. I'm a Coloradan, my path
was paved here in Colorado. Mixing my passion with not
only giving back to the state, but using that to
influence student athletes and inspire them to
reach a different height. Meeting Emily Parsons It came to light when I met Amy Parsons, and we just hit it off
and started talking. And then the conversations led to this. Terrell Davis.
- I'm Emily. - Emily--
- Yeah. - Nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you. I'm the volleyball coach. - Right on.
- So this is in my house. And I was like, I'm
gonna make him sign it. - I will sign it. - So I'm having a major moment here. - Greatest Super Bowl
in history of Super-- - Great year! Man. - [Keeley] Keeley Hagen. - Keeley, nice to meet you, Terrell Davis. Meeting Terrell Davis - Yeah.
- Nice to meet you. - Nice to meet you. - Well, the Rambassador's
job is to help the university bring resources so that we can
compete in all of our sports and athletics on the
highest level and win. Your path is not gonna
be defined by one moment. It's gonna be defined
by a series of moments. What is the ambassador job - John, you've been very busy
as the athletic director. It's been quite the year for you. Recently, the Athletic
department announced a whole host of new ideas, also started
an advisory council. - Yes, we have. And with that advisory council,
really what I'm after there is pulling together
former student athletes, recent student athletes, community leaders, business leaders, people that can really
help us in this new era of collegiate athletics. So there's a lot that's going
on from a business perspective inside of college athletics right now. And I wanna make sure
that we're surrounded by the best and the brightest to make sure that we're
growing Colorado State as well as we can. - It is you, man. What is happening on the field Nice to see you.
- What's happening? - Catch the ball, you're
40 yards finished. You jog back. I don't care if you're
getting two plays in a row. You getting the ball,
you're running 40 yards down the field. - Being unselfish, tight ends, everybody working a second
level and finishing. - [Terrell] Yeah. - And so it's all about effort, finishing, having a great practice. What do you hope to accomplish - What do you hope to accomplish, TD, with this, with specifically
the student athletes. And it's not just football that you're getting involved with. - The elevation. Trying to elevate this. The program's already
in a really good space. But if I could, again, just
be able to come in here and just make it a little bit better, then that's really what I hope to do. And to have some sort of
fingerprint on this program where people say, wow, you
know, when TD came in here, he was able to leave
some type of mark here. That's what I hope to accomplish. The goal is to elevate CSU athletics - The goal is really to
elevate Colorado State. So we we're in a phenomenal position. This is a great academic institution, a great research institution, and we have the foundation
here for Athletics to really, really be great. And having people that are huge members of the Colorado community
behind Colorado State, like TD here, that really helps elevate what we're trying to
accomplish here at CSU. We've got great things ahead of us. And grit recognizes grit, also. - [Terrell] That's right. - That's what this institution is about. We scratch, we claw, we fight. But this is a great place to be and really launch a phenomenal career. - For us Coloradans, Terrell
Davis exemplifies excellence, humility, grit, determination, and a deep commitment to
giving back to his community. Those are all attributes that we value at Colorado
State University. We're so excited to have TD serve as a Rambassador for us this year. TD, we are so excited to have
you as part of the CSU team. Go Rams.
